From 9.5 to 10!

It's perfect in every aspect! Ren Jialun and the rest of the cast did a very, very good job in this drama!

1st off i wanna say that i loved how the whole…

1st off i wanna say that i loved how the whole intimae scene was dealt with, there was a lot of tenderness in that scene & i think it kinda fits Jung Woo's personality. Tae Young seems like he would be the more wild & adventurous type, but cause it was their 1st time together, the mellowness & consideration conveyed in that scene was fitting the character's & their 1st time, same with their kisses. not every BL couple gotta be hot & heavy, a tender heart felt kiss & coupling is a more mature approach to convey love IMO & this worked perfectly! they had good chemistry - ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************the whole book publishing issue, i must say kinda went over my head. i don't get what was going on... but what i found weird is that Jung Woo didn't wonder even for a sec why the professor was ready to help, after disappearing with both Tae Young & Jung Hyun.. he knows that industry & the individual's involved (especially the professor & Jung Hyun) shouldn't he have suspected something was up, before Tae Young asked to talk to him?!? idk, i think that whole issue was kinda rushed into a conclusion, where everyone got what they wanted even if it wasn't clear how... but happy end - so it's ok?? i guess. even Jung Hyun sudden personality change where he stopped being a obsessive possessive nuts case in a blink, was like WTF. but "the end" so never mind... *********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************this was really good & it was well though out until that end that is, but i guess if u only focus on the mains love story, it doesn't matter as they end up together & they r finally happy. i enjoyed the mains chemistry & i loved how they made each bloomed around each other, yeah it was more noticeable with Jung Woo who started to smile when he was around Tae Young, he started to come to life & that was such a major change from the start (before Tae Young came into his life) but even Tae Young who was always smiling - he was happier & almost walking on air just being around Jung Woo. they conveyed perfectly how being in-love makes u bloom & it warmed my heart watching them together. **********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************side note: been thinking this from the start & have to point this out, Ha Jong Woo playing Tae Young has enviable lips. those lips make u yearn to kiss them lol - just saying...****************************************************************************************************************************************edited add on... i have to say this - from ep 7 onwards the way Jung Woo talked, one would think he held a gun to Jung Hyun's head so he would publish the books under his own name. & cause he was doing that, he couldn't publish any of his own works, that was the grand sacrifice that made him so bitter & obsessed with not letting Jung Woo go. sorry i don't by this crap that is being sold to us by the writer. what Jung Woo couldn't write under a pseudonym?? Jung Hyun could be a go between & say it was someone that didn't want his name known & wanted to remain anonymous?!??? as writers that option didn't pop up.. as it doesn't take a day to write a book - no??? so miss me with the b.s. redemption arch for Jung Hyun.

Tae Young is the MVP of this BL, i love him.…

Tae Young is the MVP of this BL, i love him. but dude got his head in the clouds most of the time - which while adorable is also his achilles heel, he's too trusting & kind for his own good. he just floating about thinking everything will just slide into place & he couldn't see that Woo Joo couldn't be trusted. *********************************************************************************** here Jung Hyun doing everything to destroy Jung Woo chances at writing - even disclosing the main secret he was blackmailing Jung Woo with, that he was the real person behind all of Jung Hyun's best sellers. as if it was Jung Woo dirty secret & not Jung Hyun's. but he's such a master manipulator he was using that fact to brow beat Jung Woo into submission, as if he was forced into letting Jung Woo write - cause. *******************************************************************************this whole ep i was on the edge of my seat wondering who is gonna cave & betray Jung Woo & Tae Young. Woo Joo fell fast, while with Yeong Seon it was touch & go, by the end idk where she stands. i am thankful she told Tae Young about the ghost writing, but i wish she told Jung Woo that Jung Hyun was doing everything within his power to stop Jung Woo from writing / getting published again. yeah Jung Woo figured it out cause of Woo Joo, but he doesn't know to what lengths is Jung Hyun going through. i hope by the end we do get a happy ending, as i fear Jung Hyun could get to Tae Young & manipulate him into thinking him letting Jung Woo go is for his best. & Tae Young loves Jung Woo too much to think straight where he is concerned. hope i am wrong

His friends and her friends at wedding part 1

She accepts the invitation to go to the wedding but had to decline helping her friend prep for her wedding because the same day. A cold snap hits and the outfit she planned to wear isn’t suited so Lin takes her shopping. She is spoiled and he gets a discount. When they arrive she learns that the bride wasn’t the inviter. It is covered quickly and she is still processing she is really his plus one. Ok, that he knew to the second when he saw her was a new extreme of love at first sight. I like that her safety charm is in his car. 🥰There is a poignant moment when he greets his mentor. XiGuang is considered his gf and he tells his mentor he is still pursuing her.🥰 Her college friends bump into her while Lin is getting the car. It seems Rong made everybody believe she was studying abroad and not on a study trip with her cousin. It is debatable whether this was an accident or on purpose. Rong has a lot to say about XiGuang finding her own happiness when Mr tall dark and awesomely handsome comes up the stairs for her. He knows she is upset but not sure why. He is introduced to the group and he makes a point to greet Xu.😂😝When her friends try to team up on her for missing the prep day, he comes to her rescue and takes the blame for her absence. He also wants to take her out so she is back to being happy after being upset by her “friends”. They come across as pretty toxic as they didn’t ask why she was there but started ganging up with accusations. Seems they haven’t changed much. 😝The episode ends with them heading to the bank for more cash. He wants to know how much she plans on spending and she just grins. 😁 Compared to her work colleagues, it is pretty clear how shabbily she is treated by the friends from home. Guess Rong helped her out since Xu was unaware XiGuang was local.

Learning about each other

XiGuang noticed that his left hand couldn’t keep up while trying her game. She wants to know why his friend keeps talking about surgeries with Lin when he can’t be a doctor. She thinks it’s mean. He explains it is exposure therapy to help him heal from his sudden change of work status. She watches him attentively with patients and former colleagues and sees how capable he is. She even comments that he is incredible because he is equally good with the business. The teasing at lunch about the horror movie😂🤣 she finds an easier game for him to work his hand and successfully win. 🥰They are funny when comparing salaries. 😂🤣 After discharge she finally tells her mom she was injured but she changes how she was injured and the degree of injury. He yells at her to quit worrying the people who care about her. I don’t think she realized he included himself in that group. He drives her home and she sees his eyesight was also impaired but I think she really liked how he looked in glasses.😍Everybody greets her when she returns to work and Lin plans a dinner to improve their Feng shui 😂🤣He says that he and XiGuang will pay since they started the rumors of bad luck. She and her friend are speculating if she will really have to pay. When they get to the place it is very top tier and all the most expensive dishes are ordered. He calls her down to the register and claims to have forgotten his wallet.🤣😝 She counters that this will make them even for hospital bill.😂She wants to know if they are ok now and asks why he disliked her so much initially. He commented that she was carefree and forgetful. She equated that with being called a ditz but has no clue what he is talking about. She just knows he’s sincere in his opinion and he sees that she is not recalling but neither understand why the other doesn’t get it. She cannot believe how audacious he in in accepting all credit for the meal she paid for.😂🤣She wonders if they are friends now. Xu goes head to head with a colleague about doing business with an overseas client. He advises more caution than she does. His supervisor asked his opinion and Xu outlined all his concerns. It is noted by his colleague that disagrees. He gets a call from his friend informing him to come to his wedding on the 2nd. XiGuang asks Lin why she is always the one staying late. He reminds her how much her family makes and that he felt guilty taking advantage of the working class😂🤣 They make new rules for a budding friendship as to how to address each other. The exchange of gifts.🥰 He is thinking very late for the safety charm and she is touched at the thoughtful gift of ointment to lessen scarring. The colleague that shrieked and caused her fall felt guilty and invited XiGuang to her wedding. They discuss the wedding invite and then it segues into if the reward high enough would I jump off the balcony😂🤣she gets a call from a classmate wanting help with her wedding. She doesn’t want to go when all of them gathering as that would most likely include Rong and Xu.

Plot-induced stupidity at its extreme. For…

Plot-induced stupidity at its extreme. For the most part, until now, while the writers have leaned heavily on PIS since the mid-20s episodes, they have doe so primarily on support characters. Not the ML or FL. But now they made SiQng suddenly act incredibly stupid and reckless, leading her to be, once again, captured. This particular bizarre change in behavior was especially annoying and reflects pure laziness on the part of the writers. Why can't they instead have the villains come up with a scheme that doesn't depend on the character acting uncharacteristically stupid?

Honestly

this drama was really good the first 18 episodes or so before the car accident but after that the drama started going downhill for me but that's not to say it was bad

the fact that Jung Hyun would do everything…

the fact that Jung Hyun would do everything & anything to get Jung Woo back under his thumb, submissive & broken isn't surprising. but the fact his targets might waver & agree to f*ck over both Jung Woo & Tae Young is the more distressing part. Jung Woo is still so grateful towards Jung Hyun, he considers him his savior (in spite of how he belittles him) little does he know... idk what the f*ck this industry got against Jung Woo, that they hell bent on destroying him & the fact he doesn't have any means to put a stop to them, is infuriating. as that is also allowing Jung Hyun to abuse his desperation & isolation. **********i can just hope, that all of Jung Hyun scheming will blow-up in his face & everyone will find out that all the best sellers he has published were written by Jung Woo - the one everyone looking down on & belittling his talent. *************************************************************************************************************************************************************************i am so thankful Jung Woo got someone like Tae Young by his side, he so supportive, positive, warm & loving. he keeps encouraging & uplifting Jung Woo, something he desperately needs after yrs of Jung Hyun's brain washing & demoralization.

even watching the preview i freakin knew Woo…

even watching the preview i freakin knew Woo Joo was the blabber mouth that told Jung Hyun where Jung Woo was at, Tae Young too should've know better then the tell Woo Joo - but i guess he doesn't get the messed-up dynamic between Jung Woo & Jung Hyun. *************************************************************************************************************************but i was freakin elated that finally Jung Woo has started to stand up for himself & isn't letting Jung Hyun's manipulation & gaslighting get to him or deter him from his objective. i was so worried he would break & give in to him, now hope that in his sick state, he doesn't cave cause he knows that Jung Hyun isn't good for him & is using his insecurities & the blacklisting to keep him locked in his house, using him like his slave ghost writer. *****************************************************************now that Jung Woo has finally woken up i need for him to not cave & go back to his old ways. thankfully he's got Tae Young rooting for him at every turn - which is doing wonders for his ego & thankfully Yeong Seon is another supporter, that is ready to help him achieve his goals & not cave to Jung Hyun or anyone in that industry, that might come for her cause she is helping Jung Woo. ****************************************************************************************************************************also love Ju Yeon, another strong woman that is supporting Jung Woo, but i have a feeling she has/had a crush on Jung Hyun. & that is her problem - that he only has eyes for him. but given how possessive he is of Jung Woo, isn't that a warning sign? a red fag u would avoid or thank ur stars never zeroed in on u?!? *********************************************************************side note: that professor that keeps calling Jung Hyun to scheme against Jung Woo - is he in on the fact that Jung Woo is Jung Hyun's ghost writer & he was planning of using for himself & now that he wants to write - is that what he mean & why he is panicked?!?

Soooo fun! Just.. too short?

This was a captivating watch! There wasn't a single second that I skipped or anything like that. I'm honestly in love with Shiono Akihisa so this is a bit biased, but this geniunely was a fun series with good chemistry between the actors. Personally, I thought it read a but like a bromance, but I guess most buddy-cop genre shows are like that. I'm just really sad it wasn't longer and that some plot points seemed to go nowhere for no reason (i.e. the stalking of Mihotoke-san and that whole arc). I have to dock points of for that. I also have to take away some points for the low-key bad representation of ethical non-monogamous relationships, I would've loved if the characters acknowledged that the chef guy was lying out his ass about consensually dating all those women because it was obvious some of them didn't know about his other lovers. Frankly, that's not "ethical" at all, but all they seemed to say about it is that ENM is bulls*it when in truth it was the man.Anyways! Still good enjoyable fun! Watch it here (thank you ShinJSubs!): https://shinjsubs.wordpress.com/2024/08/02/real-renai-satsujin-sousahan/

Two Stars

guess will have to rejoice in the fact that for now Jung Woo not only got mad but is avoiding Jung Hyun. sadly Jung Hyun got his hooks in too deep for Jung Woo to just move on with his life - i wish that were the case cause Jung Hyun is just bad for Jung Woo, ironic that Ju Yeon could see it & even told Jung Hyun he a sociopathic f*cker. not that he cares, he just want Jung Woo in the cage he has created for him, the fact neither of them r happy doesn't matter. **************************************************so i am happy Tae Young was there at the right time to offer Jung Woo a line of hope, cause of him Jung Woo reached out to Yeong Seon & even started writing. Tae Young is good for Jung Woo ego & mental health. i hope he help revive what little is left of his self-worth so he can fight for himself & not let Jung Hyun manipulate or gaslight him any more!
