The Demon Hunter's Romance Episode 9

BanXia is determined to get help to find her father. She is trying to make her case on finding the life giving demon and ends up with a broken jar of moon bugs. I think she might have made her case better if she would have offered an apology or recompense for breaking his medicine supplies, but she was too busy complaining about him having bugs. She has been seeing white crows and it seems to indicate death is coming for that individual. The drunkard is sentenced but right before execution he sees someone that looks like him telling him to leave. I am wondering if his rich family found a way to bribe the demon and if they could be link for her to find info about her father. Qiu arrives to try to force her to come home. I am glad she refused to leave. I am tired of her family railroading her and acting like it’s for her own good. By the end of his visit I believe he thinks she really can see things and agrees to let her stay. I don’t think he is ready to accept everything about his wife, but he is moving on. He shared a frank conversation and BanXia could at least tell him the last thing his wife said before passing. She finally listens to her maid and tries another demon hunter. This one seems to be a big fraud and he also has a crow on his shoulder that only she can see. XuanYe warns her he is a fraud and sends her home with a bunny.🤣 He is not refusing to help her but he is not lowering his price. For now they are both annoyed with each other.

This is going to be a slow burn series even though it's only 6 episodes. FL husband is ridiculous. Tells her not to cook but then complains to his mother about her not cooking. And their daughter is spoiled brat. They need to nip that in the bud ASAP but not with a father/husband like that. So far the case is interesting. I found it strange that the Court didn't tell the jurors not to watch the news but that may just be a US thing in high profile cases.

Episode 2: Destined to Be Emperor of HeavenIn this episode, Camellia HongNing is discovering the celestial dimension where the god of the flower lives (she still hasn't realized that Jing Xiu is the god of flowers). And the funniest part of this episode is when she pulls a giant bell to fall covering her and Jinxiu, as she believes that the flower "goddess" is angry with her, and the flower goddess is "ruthless". And at that time Jinxiu looked half scared, half amused (as if thinking: you don't know. little camellia, that I am the god of flowers). She marvels at all the powers he displays, but does not realize that these powers belong to the god of flowers. HongNIng suffers the persecution and nagging of the other flowers (local girls) and because of this she had to suffer a thunder punishment. The chrysanthemum envoy was in charge of this, but the camellia was thinking that with these rays she could soon achieve immortality, the chrysanthemum envoy soon frustrated her by explaining that these rays are of another kind, and that to ascend immortality it takes thousands of years of cultivation. The queen mother and the father heavenly emperor met in one place, the emperor's platform before three strange shapes in the sky. The emperor wondered what this meant and if it would interfere with Jinxiu's life. He says that Jingxiu was raised to have no feelings and to be an emperor. The queen mother saw with the emperor the golden writing that appeared in the environment, it was another request from Jinxiu to forgive the people of the land, who were without flowers as punishment. (This was because Jinxiu heard from HongNing a plea about the people of the land, who had no flowers to rejoice about, and this could make the people of the land very sad in the journey of life.Another interesting moment of this episode was when HongNing arrived at the moment when Jingxiu was bathing in the heavenly pool. Soon he, very shy, turned into a golden peony tree. But Hongning clung to the tree (even though she heard him in exasperation ask her to leave). She only left when the chrysanthemum envoy shouted from outside angrily for her to leave soon. There was a moment in the episode when she from drinking the colorful wine from Jinxiu's room fell drunk, and then fell asleep and turned into a red flower. Jinxiu took it as a flower to his desk. The maid threw the flower into the teapot. Suddenly, Jinxiu while drinking the tea realized that she was there. She transformed back into a human, frightening the chrysanthemum envoy. There will be a solemn meeting, a flower festival, which takes place every 500 years, and HongNing intends to go there. HongNing in this episode is very objective and faces the other flower girls with her strong opinion, she was punished with those rays because she defended another flower girl who was being whipped. She got in front and said some exasperated things, to the chief girl, a flower (I don't understand much, this character is very intriguing and chases HongNing). My score for this episode is 10.0 (There are these emotional moments that pleased me).I'm going to put this reaction/summary of episode 2 in the episode guide.

I think a little action and getting introductions out of the way allows for a great beginning. The FL (Lui Shi Shi) is always good in these type of dramas. Must watch to understand overall arc of the story.

i would be lying if i said i am happy that Ju Yeong ended up with Do Hoe. yeah in this ep he finally apologized & thanked both Ju Yeong & Hyeon Ho - which was a long time coming. so that is progress, but given how long these 2 have done so much out of love for him & he basically took everything for granted, the fact that after 12 yrs he finally said sorry & thankful doesn't cut it.****************************************************************************************************************************************but it is what it is, this was an interesting plot if very sad & depressing, the romance wasn't healthy either. yeah there were some great moments between the leads, but that doesn't a healthy relationship make. it was toxic & i think Ju Yeong should learn to value himself more & want to be with someone who values him & shows it with actions, not just words. ****************but it is what it is - idk if i would rewatch this, considering the abuse which was too much for me, or rather once was more then enough & as the romance was pretty one sided, so think this a one off.

said this in the past & will repeat myself, Ju Yeong deserves better, he has NO reason to apologize so many times. he Didn't destroy Do Hoe life, not now & not 12 yrs ago. if anything Do Hoe is the one that destroyed Ju Yeong life, not just 12yrs ago but for 12 yrs he guilted him into thinking, he was at fault for what happened that day - basically victim blaming... **************knowing full well that Ju Yeong was suffering while he was living with them - he ignored his abuse cause he wanted him to stay there. like Ju Yeong suffered the abuse in silence, cause he wanted to be close to Do Hoe. who made the bigger sacrifice?!? ****& then hearing Ju Yeong getting beaten (on that fateful night) what does Do Hoe do. walks away & calls the cops, knowing full well that the chief in that town was close to his father - so who would be backed?!? who would be made into the bad-guy?!? **** ****************************************************************************************************************************************then he bombed the entrance exam not once but multiple times & after 12 yrs when he finally met Ju Yeong, did he act repentant? felt sorry for what he did & was doing? nope - he acted like the aggrieved party, treating Ju Yeong coldly like they strangers. all cause he couldn't face the fact that he had amounted to nothing?? that he was sitting on a throne of lies?!??? **********************************************************************************************************************************************but Ju Yeong needs to keep saying sorry - why? cause Do Hoe so fragile, facing reality will make him shatter?! not enough dude had Hyeon Ho enabling him & helping cover his ass, even introducing him to rich connected people so he would succeed for over a decade? & now it's Ju Yeong turn??? **********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************sorry but Do Hoe has done nothing to be worthy of Ju Yeong he hasn't apologized, if anything he has manipulated & gaslit him at every turn, & the sec Ju Yeong stands his ground Do Hoe wants to break-up & runs the other way, acting like Ju Yeong was the unreasonable on in the equation - dude toxic & NOT worth the headache.

i am sorry but i really need Ju Yeong to give up on Do Hoe, why is he apologizing & running after him?!? he not worth the headache, he's pompous & reticent, the only thing he wants from Ju Yeong & can offer him is a superficial relationship that is based on sex. what does that offer anyone in the long run?!? *********************************************************************** Ju Yeong should be running in the other direction, not jumping into bed with Do Hoe, not agreeing to a shallow relationship were u talk about the weather - never have a real conversation, just gloss over what is really important & basically be a prolonged one-nightstand. *********************************************************************************************************** no one that's waited for over a decade can be happy in the long run with a relationship like this - what Ju Yeong is agreeing too is pure torture. ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************it is infuriating to me that Do Hoe's acting like he is the only one that had a tough childhood. what happy childhood did Ju Yeong experience, given he was an orphan?!? dude throwing himself a pity party & if that's not enough he is gaslighting Ju Yeong into taking all the blame (for something he has no hand in), this toxic as sh*t & Do Hoe needs to go back to his therapist so he can adjust his medication dosage or give him something new. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************the parents of Gwang Mo need to be thrown into jail for what they r doing to their child!!! & i don't give a sh*t if this is what actually happens in Korea or any other country - this is ABUSE!

so the reason Do Hoe ghosted Ju Yeong was out of guilty?!? cause he didn't stop the beatings & he called the cops basically destroying Ju Yeong's life?!? the fact Ju Yeong is blaming himself, is cause he loves Do Hoe - *************************************Do Hoe is justified in feeling guilty & not only that, the way he treated Ju Yeong like dirt was safeguarding himself, even after a decade as a mature man he didn't want to confront the reality of what he had done, he didn't want to apologize. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************as much as i know this wont happen, Ju Yeong deserves better(!), he has dedicate over a decade of his life to unworthy people; both the coach & his son. *************************************************************************************************************get it's his inferiority complex, cause he is an orphan that was abandoned more then once - he is all alone, so he thinks it is ok to treat him this way. that he doesn't deserve better - that the few crumbs Do Hoe's throws his way (like that kiss) is more then enough for the likes of him & this is devastating to me. nobody deserves to be treated like Do Hoe is treating Ju Yeong. *************************************************************************************************************************************************& i am 99% sure Do Hoe was in a sexual relationship with Hyeon Ho, one that he (=Hyeon Ho) didn't want to commit to, but he can't let go of Do Hoe cause he is gay. & they have this weird relationship where they not in a relationship, but they also r. & then u get the messed-up scenes, we got in this ep. where the one who gets hurt time & time again ironically is Ju Yeong. it genuinely feels like Do Hoe is toying with him, just cause he can. & i donno if i like this anymore - i need Ju Yeong to cut ties & find someone that will not only love him back wholeheartedly, but someone that wont play sadistic mind games with him & his heart! alas that not gonna happen.

this ep left me heartbroken, confused & angry. i don't know WTH is going on with Do Hoe, so i can't judge... at 1st i though like i assumed in the pervious ep, Ju Yeong shouldn't have antagonized the coach, suffered though whatever so everything would happen as they planned & then they could leave together. & cause of what happened Do Hoe almost lost it, stabbing his own father. maybe that angered him so much, that he ended up blaming Ju Yeong. *****************************************************but him being with Hyeon Ho, felt like a slap in the face. his ghosting Ju Yeong for over 12 yrs was more abuse & i don't get why he's acting the way he is. the way he looks at Ju Yeong, when Ju Yeong isn't looking it's obvious that he hasn't gotten over him - then why keep pushing him away?!? why not talk - now after a decade & clear things, either make-up or break-up. but keeping Ju Yeong on hold like this is cold-blooded, merciless & even sadistic. if u love someone u don't hurt them like this. *******************************************************************************************************************************************************Ju Yeong on the other hand has kept this candle burning for over a decade. i don't think he forgave to coach - he just knew that, that was Do Hoe's home & even if he didn't come back at some point, it was where he could feel the most connected to him. even his relationship with the coach was cause that was Do Hoe's father & thus he was a part of Do Hoe - that is why this is so heartbreaking. as i pointed out in the past, both guys had a traumatic childhood, they were all alone even though surrounded by people/parents - they grew up alone & were alone even when they had friends - the sec they met, they found home & family all wrapped up in one. so what Do Hoe did to Ju Yeong was really cruel punishment, u wouldn't do to ur enemy.
