DON'T WATCH IT
Don't watch it... Cheap ahh cgi and lol probably spent more on the actors rather than actual output of this adaptation. I'm not hating the actors or anything (even though some characters they're portraying is wayyyyyyyyy of from what they're depicted on the novel) I'm just pissed at the director for butchering OUR(THE FANS) novel. Was this review helpful to you?
not worth the watch even as a standalone movie.
From the beginning we knew that they would screw up the adaptation and won't be faithful to the original novel. But they didn't even try to make it look or sound good. The script? Terrible.
The graphics? Cheap.
The plot/story? It's all over the place.
The acting? Awkward.
Even as a standalone movie they didn't bother to even try to explain the story's universe/setting. It will be so damn confusing to anyone who watches it.
If you wanted a cool action movie, atleast do it properly. This is just a poorly executed nonsense. Wouldn't recommend at all. If you are actually interested maybe give the original novel a try cause this story is one of the best fiction ever.

Just read the novel instead.
This movie has changed and disrespected the original source material to the point where it's completely unrecognizable, from the little details to the overall messages and symbolism that ORV tried to convey, everything had been completely butchered. As an adaptation, it fails in every aspect. As a movie, the cinematography is amateurish, the script sounds AI generated, the CGI is a joke, and some actors with major supporting roles are just completely sidelined for no particular reason; it's underwhelming, to say the least. This isn't a matter of an "accurate adaptation" anymore. This is setting a precedence for future adaptations to completely mess up a beloved story by removing all the aspects that make it good in the first place. ORV isn't loved because it's a generic male power fantasy, it's loved because the story subverts this. By stripping away everything to adhere to the general audience's expectations, there won't be anything left to love. There is genuinely so many things wrong with this movie from the erasure of Korean history to even misogyny (which wouldn't be noticed if viewers don't know the original story).
ORV is a love letter for its readers, but this movie spat on it, tore it with a paper shredder, stomped on it repeatedly, burned it, and threw the ashes into the ocean.

CASH GRAB ADAPTATION
I don't understand why korean production like to ruined everything from original work. You can tell this is just purely cash grab. I understand if they cut some parts or change some character designs but to the point changing unnecessary thing that should not be changed? WHY? All the females characters got misogyny treatments. Chae soobin's character supposed to be someone who is promoted in her job but in the movie they make her resigned? Then Nana's character changed backstory too. How can you make the main character who was bullied to someone who bully others đ. Such a disappointment.I hope the actor fans be open-minded at how bad this script is because it's farrr from the original story.

WORST ADAPTION
Iâm honestly disappointed with whatâs supposed to be an âadaptation.â This version completely strips away the soul of the original work. Watching Kim Dokja lose all his presence and depth was exhausting, and itâs hard to believe the production team even glanced at the source material. If this is what you call an adaptation, then honestly, even Wattpad fanfictions have done a better job respecting the core of Omniscient Readerâs Viewpoint.Letâs talk about the inconsistencies. The Kim Dokja portrayed here feels like a stranger. He would never say âthis novel is the worstââthat line alone already betrays his entire worldview. And whatâs with the firearms? Both Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk have extensive knowledge of their world; they would absolutely know better than to use weapons that donât work.
And one very important trait: Kim Dokja doesn't save people out of kindness. He saves them if, and only if, they serve a purpose in his plan. Thatâs who he isâcalculated, practical, and always thinking several steps ahead.
All these overlooked details make the story feel like a shallow shell of what it couldâve been. Itâs not just about âchanging things for the screenâ itâs about losing the essence that made the original story powerful.

girl what is this
Girl⊠where do I even start? âI Would Rather Kill Youâ really had the aesthetic, the moody lighting, the steamy stares â but thatâs literally it. It tried so hard to be dark and sexy but ended up feeling like a Wattpad fanfic with a K-drama filter and zero plot. Like... who greenlit this? The actors actually ate with what they were given â Iâll give them that. They served intensity, mystery, tension â but for what? There was no story to carry it. Just scenes of almost-hookups, dramatic breathing, and the occasional "deep" line that felt like it was pulled from a Tumblr post circa 2012.
It kept teasing like something big was gonna happen, and I was patient, okay? I really gave it a chance. But by the end I was like, âThatâs it?â No climax (pun very much intended), no twist, no real conflict â just vibes and thirst. Itâs basically soft porn thatâs too shy to commit. No plot, just pouty lips and prolonged eye contact.
It wanted to be edgy and psychological, but itâs giving aesthetic over substance. It had all the ingredients for something spicy and intense, but forgot the actual recipe.
Watch it if youâre bored and just want background noise with pretty people fake-panting in slow motion. Otherwise? Girl, donât waste your time.

LA that sit on same table as AOT LA and Drangon Ball LA
Iâm SCREAMING. WTF is this?! It'd like the director read half the source material, said ânah,â and decided to yeet the soul of sNs masterpiece into the void. They changed SO MUCH, and Iâm not okay! Kim Dokja deserves better, and this mess is sitting at the same cursed table as the Attack on Titan and Dragon Ball Evolution LA!! Letâs talk about how they fumbled this bag and why itâs giving the same vibes as those other disasters.First off, WHY THE HELL are they giving everyone GUNS?! Like, are you kidding me? Theyâre out here handing Hee Won daggers like sheâs in an Avengers flick and giving Lee Hyeon-seong some high-tech gauntlet nonsense. And donât get me started on Yoo Joonghyukâs sword looking like it was forged in a sci-fi lab. This ainât the apocalyptic struggle we signed up for! Itâs like they saw the Attack on Titan live-action films and thought Letâs copy their homework and make it flashy but soulless. This is not My ORV!!!!!Was this review helpful to you?
"Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy" is a must-watch
"Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy" explodes onto the screen with a thrilling mix of mind-bending storytelling and emotional weight, adapted brilliantly from the beloved webnovel. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where reality mirrors a web novel, the story follows Dokjaâan ordinary readerâwho suddenly becomes the sole person who knows the full plot of the unfolding world-destroying scenario. The film balances high-stakes action and deep character development. Each scene keeps you at the edge of your seat, while layered themes of survival, sacrifice, and the blurred line between fiction and fate pull you in further. The visuals are stunning, the pacing is tight, and the writing does justice to the source material.
Ahn Hyoâseop anchors the story as the emotionally conflicted reader-prophet with subtle strength.
Lee Minâho makes his much-anticipated cinematic return with a layered and commanding presence.
Chae Sooâbin portrays Sangâahâs metamorphosis with grace and quiet power.
Shin Seungâho offers grounded sincerity as the groupâs protector.
Nana embodies righteous defiance in Jung Heeâwon, making her warrior quietly unforgettable.
Kwon Eunâseong touches the heart as the boy with hidden strength.
Park Hoâsan and Choi Youngâjoon elevate the filmâs tension through their commanding antagonistic roles.
As for Jisoo, she absolutely shines in her role, bringing fierce intensity and subtle emotional nuance to her character. Sheâs not just captivatingâshe owns every frame sheâs in. Jisooâs performance adds a grounded humanity amidst all the chaos, and her ability to convey strength and vulnerability simultaneously is nothing short of phenomenal. It's clear sheâs evolving into a top-tier actress, and this role cements her as a powerful presence in both K-drama and film.

Discomfort, uneasiness that lingers.
Definitely not for everyone. But it hooked me and I'm looking forward to them in next part.donât even know what Iâm feeling. This film was messy, unsettling, emotionally cold and hot all at once â and I'm somehow completely hooked.â
Why it lands hard:
A taboo teacherâstudent dynamic packed with power imbalance and emotional manipulation that never softens.
The teacher clings to the student for years, even after being fired. The student drifts along, detached, yet pulled in. Toxic? Yes. Magnetic? Definitely.
At least half the film centers on raw, emotionally numbing sexânot intimacy or passion. Itâs disturbing, but contextually fitting for what the characters are: empty, stuck, unresolved.
What stands out:
The acting is powerfulâespecially the student (who might be in Grand Guignol). His deadpan yet emotionally intense performance carried scenes that had no dialogue but screamed.
Thereâs almost no character developmentâonly emotional stasis that intensifies the unease.
An omnipresent dread lingers: the weight of âsomething bad is comingâ hovers. The story doesnât resolve cleanly, and the ending leaves you with questions instead of solace.
Final verdict: A haunting, unforgettable cinematic experience. It offers no comfort. It offers no redemption. And maybe thatâs the point.

From junk collector to escort services in a club
The plot was slow moving and the music was overwhelming at times but the story was there if you take the time to watch. A sad narrative on the life of a young woman who collects junk to recycle for a living. Real life is simple and exciting for our star until she gets pregnant. Unable to handle the stress and responsibilities of motherhood she turns to a brothel where they help her eliminate the pregnancy. She thrives as an escort after struggling with the first encounter. The nudity and all that goes with it is not that enticing to be honest but it does portray the impact of the struggle. Was this review helpful to you?

Wall to Wall Potential, Room to Improve
Well, this K-Drama wasnât as good as the trailer made it seem or at least not up to my expectations. It turned out to be a massive letdown by the end. Kang Ha-neul played the lead really well, especially capturing raw emotions all at once. The show did manage to bring out claustrophobic cinematography and the socio-economic struggles of Koreaâs lower middle class. But the narrative quickly fell apart with excessive twists and poor pacing. Overall, the plot was weak but in terms of acting and visuals, this might still be your go to watch!

Absolute Dogshit
Absolute incestious, pedophilic, disgusting dogshit. This is the type of movie people hype up because of herd mentality. It sucks, the story is so stupid. It starts off cool - ok, we have a dude who was put into a room for years, psychologically tortured, what's gonna happen and for not fucking reason why oh why do we need the incest. It's disgusting. Who wrote this?? Don't watch it.Was this review helpful to you?
Noisy Mansion
I didnât know that noise was such an issue in Korean apartments. After a month-long break from watching Korean films, I just saw two movies: The Noisy Mansion (2025) and this one â both centered around the same issue: a strange noise disturbing the tenants in a large apartment complex. But while the first film managed to connect the dots, this one left me confused and disoriented. I would say the main problem is that the movie shifts in atmosphere and tone too many times â from dreamlike sequences and imagined montages of buying an apartment, to social drama, thriller action, and mystery. It becomes a mix of everything, but ultimately remains unconvincing and unrealistic.I tried to focus on the real meaning of the title, Wall to Wall, or the translated Korean title: 84 Square Meters. That would suggest the apartment itself is the main protagonist, trying to survive its noisy, weird, and angry tenants. There was a lot I didnât understand or felt was poorly resolved. That said, I did enjoy the movie, and it held my interest as I wanted to see where the plot would take us. But despite its unusual twists and strange events, I think this film is, unfortunately, forgettable.
P.S. Iâd really like to know â what was that laugh at the end? Can someone explain?

Ah those noisy neighbors
A very well-structured movie with a mix of genres and a nice, heart-warming story. The movie begins as a weird, absurd comedy about a noisy woman with too much time on her hands, who sticks her nose into other peopleâs business, fighting for order and justice. The main plot follows her as she faces a new challenge in a large apartment complex, where there is a mysterious noise issue of unknown origin. The movie offers plenty of comical moments, but also intense scenes where it almost becomes a thriller. Yet behind it all lies a very pleasant drama. The character of the noisy woman (An Keo-eul) in a noisy mansion was very interesting, and all the other characters have distinct, anecdotal personalities that give us a lot to enjoy. They remind us of our own issues and prejudices with our neighbors.
I really liked how the movie managed to connect all the details into a convincing and unexpected resolution. So for me, everything worked â the mystery, the comedy, the characters, the whole movie. This is a film I could recommend to everyone.
