Are power and money really worth losing yourself?

I'm not a big fan of crime films, but I watched this one because of Song Joong Ki—and I don't regret it. At first, the plot seemed slow and dull, but Joong Ki's performance still managed to keep me engaged. He transformed into a charismatic yet cold-blooded character searching for his path in the ruthless world of crime. His character reminded me of Vincenzo—it’s as if everything started with this film, and then he moved on to the mafia haha.

Moral: The path to success can be so dark that there’s no turning back. The protagonist starts with the desire to survive but gradually gets trapped by his own choices. The film shows how circumstances can change a person and how thin the line is between fighting for a better life and losing one’s humanity.

I can’t say the film left me in awe. It lacked emotional intensity, and some scenes felt dry, failing to evoke the right emotions. The overall atmosphere didn’t stand out, and the supporting characters remained underdeveloped, making them hard to follow.
Despite everything, the film raises important questions: Can a crime be justified if it’s the only way to survive? And are power and money worth losing yourself?

Very disturbing ... Very Scary

It was pretty disturbing because it nailed the reality, but honestly, some details were overlooked. It felt real—her mind was a blur at first, and with every new detail, the tension kept building. But I gotta say, I have no clue how Korean police work, yet the detective gave off serious "I bribed my way into this job" vibes. Like, FL's friend uncovered more than he did—is that not concerning to anyone else? Still, despite all the criticism, it’s a 7-year-old mystery movie, and it does its job. The acting wasn’t bad, the characters definitely grew, and it had just the right amount of thrill and creepiness.

Good watch

I thought this looked good from the trailer on netflix, was good to see it was actually a film and not being dragged along for 16 episodes like most korean screenings , i really liked this it was fast paced and action from the start and throughout, it was believable and had me goggling if it was a true story , afterwards i read it wasnt well received in cinemas and cant understand why because it was a good few hours of entertainment, so settle back an watch this

Deserves a watch

Not necessarily a favorite of mine, but I still really enjoyed watching it. It does a great job of portraying the reality of life and its struggles. And it gave me the chills knowing it's based on a true story where fired workers staged a stay-in strike for 510 days. Knowing that this kind of perseverance actually happened in real life it made the story better

Even if it’s not my personal favorite, I think it absolutely deserves a watch.

“You have a partner with you, I’m jealous.”

The fight choreography in this… jeez! No dizzying camera tricks, just pure action gun fu madness.

Baby Assassins: Nice Days is such an upgrade from the first 2 films. Easily the best one in the series. It still has that slice of life charm but is undeniably darker with a proper f-ed up villain this time, all thanks to baddy daddy Sosuke Ikematsu.

Nice days also treats us with longer buddy action with Akari Takaishi being involved in more combat scenes alongside the amazing Saori Izawa, who’s slick as always (and who’s basically the reason for all my squeals).

Aside from the action, I believe Akari and Saori’s chemistry together is also what keeps this series interesting. It’s just warm and fuzzy whenever they’re together and they simply make Chisato and Mahiro’s bond believable and endearing to watch.

Really hope this series continues and levels up with more epic action.

Comfort and Unease

This movie struck a delicate balance between warmth and unease, offering moments of soothing comfort alongside scenes that crept under my skin in a way that felt all too real. At times, it delved into my reflections on reality, making me pause and think about the world in a way that was familiar to me. The awkwardness it embraced felt intentional and oddly comforting, like a shared human experience. A solid 7/10—it’s flawed, but it stayed with me, leaving me with plenty to sit with and process.

I’m not sure if I’d recommend this or watch it again, but it’s one of those films that lingers in your mind long after it’s over. It’s not necessarily an easy watch, but it’s undeniably memorable—something about it just sticks with you, whether you want it to or not.

Is worth to watch!!?

I was very impressed with this movie, the fact is that there are very good Japanese movies, the acting was good and very poetic and the characters are good too, I loved the beautiful sceneries and the story is very good and touching, in short it is a movie worth watching.

Well, the story is something we can live it or see it in the real life, i love how they wrote the relationship between the leads.

The ending i was afraid of the ending, but iwas so satisfied with it well i hoped if they showed us more details but it's okay.

Stumbled upon this on the feed. Happy to watch this... Much like Shasha wrote: "it is not a BL: it is a gay story. It is not fantasy, it is the real life."

Story about Kan & Tul, 2 young actors who meet at a film workshop. They hit it off immediately & later we found out they actually falls for the each other.

But unfortunately Tul has different plans for his life: he wants to get married and have kids. So in the end they just carries on with their life.

That's pretty much the story without giving any more spoilers. In the end this really one reality check for gay life story

Beautiful

Made me cry! Don't worry, it has a happy ending. 😊 Their brotherly relationship was lovely. They both needed each other. The autistic brother was cute, made you want to hug him! Though, they weren't real brothers, they truly care about each other! The story was beautiful!🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A Journey of Self-Discovery, Growth, and Love: Love on the Line Explores the Depths of Emotion

Personally, I believe Life: Love on the Line is one of those movies that stands out for its raw and honest portrayal of self-discovery, personal growth, and the complexities of love. The movie doesn't shy away from the challenges of emotional sabotage and the journey to find one’s true self before fully embracing love. It’s an exploration of the characters’ internal struggles, their growth through difficult moments, and how they learn to overcome their personal barriers. What makes it truly special is how it portrays love as something that evolves from understanding oneself and healing past wounds. The show beautifully captures the intricacies of love.

For anyone looking for a movie that digs deeper into the human experience, Love on the Line is an enriching watch.

Netflix money fell flat

This is my rewatch actually. Because the first time around I did not follow Im Siwan, and I wanted to understand how did I miss his performance in Unlocked. I do understand now, why the movie and his performance were unmemorable.

Beautiful cinematography and colouring, but there is no category for that in ratings. Also some gorgeous shots and scenes. I thought it was a fine watch, manageable until the end. I see the Netflix money... But they should have cashed it out on screenplay.

The biggest problem is that the story made no sense; and after watching you are left neither entertained or taught anything, nor impressed.

And the main culprit is the screenplay.

Like, why did the serial killer do any of that? The serial killer's role was not written as crazy enough for it to be a no-reason-Jokeresque type of MO. I recently started follow Im Siwan's acting and I know he can deliver a killer punch in terms of complex roles. Why didn't you give him one? Like a really heaviest, most complex role of all? I believe he would excel. If you can pay for high caliber actor, you really should use him to the maximum his skill. But even he could not save such weak script. Like his acting felt so diluted because he was not portraying any character. Literally his character had zero development in plot, past or present. I do not think the actor himself knows the character he portrayed. But then the movie was focused on the main actress and not on the serial killer. The main actress definitely did a better job acting because we had some development for her. Yet even her parts eventually fell flat for me. Bad screenwriting, and that is all there is to it.

Also, going on my Im Siwan rant, I know nowadays he wants to expand to international audience so he accepted this weak script for the sake of Netflix visibility, but honestly I am disappointed in him as well. Like reject this nonsense. Unknown for me tarnished his 10/10 record.

Ah, what to do.

Not a recommend. If you liked him go watch Merciless (action movie) or Strangers from hell (psychological thriller drama). I promise you will have a great time.

As always -- thanks for reading. <3

Excessively over-dramatized

1987: When the Day Comes directed by Jang Joon-hwan and written by Kim Kyung-chan is a well - meaning fictional attempt to tell the story of events leading up to the real life 1987 June Democratic Uprising in Korea. This was triggered by the death of a student protester during police interrogation which the authorities conspire to cover up. The movie starts well when focusing on the actions of the honest medical examiner and prosecutor who both are disinclined to look the other way and authorise a fake mock-up of the cause of death to cardiac arrest.

However the story line flow falters when the narrative spreads outwards to include the perspectives of police, both good and bad, journalists trying to ascertain the facts of the case, other university students, prison guards, catholic priests, people on the street and established political authorities. There simply are too many characters involved on which to concentrate one's attention. Director Kim would have been well - advised to just focus on a few key personalities instead of casting his net so far and wide, albeit with the worthy aim of reflecting the general population's demand for democratic reform.

The movie is successful though at depicting the fact that South Korea, barely a year before the 1988 Seoul Olympics was for all intensive purposes, a dictatorship, something many modern Westerners may fail to realise, aware only of the vibrant democracy that is the current Sixth Republic of South Korea. In a long roundabout fashion, 1987 does manage to reflect its genesis.

Just okay

Watched this because of EXO's chanyeol.
The FL character's overacting, she's acting barbaric and overly hot-headed.. even when she started as an anti-fan, she's somewhat irritating.. maybe it's the concept afterall.. So the story is somewhat interesting.

The reason to which she started to be an anti-fan was unreasonable,..it's her fault anyway, even with losing her job.

This is so good.

It's worth watching. The love story is gonna make you feel good. It's so mature enough to show us how much a person admire those who believe them. Trust is the true thing that help us to believe in each other. Hyun - woo and Kim Mi - soo are so meant to each other. Hyun-woo is meant to be with Kim Mi-soo. Eun-Ja is a very kind person, people like her are rare in real life.
