12 individuals trying their best to "just end it" (For different reasons)

The plot is simple. 1 guy plans an assembly looking for 11 other participants to go to "eternal sleep" together.
The rules:
1. They need to vote unanimously to "pull the plug".
2. If even one person is against it then they talk about it until it's unanimous.
3. Anyone can leave anytime if they don't wish to participate in the assembly anymore.
The movie is not about the mystery or the suspense. They are a big part of the movie but they're definitely not the main focus. The main focus are the each of the 12 individuals and why they are choosing to "leave the mortal realm". As the movie progresses, the stories of each individuals starts to unravel while they try to solve the mystery of the 13th individual and each story makes it even harder for the 12 to come to a unanimous decision. Some stories are deeper than the other of course but it also what makes each of the characters unique in their own way.
It's not a horror, suspense or mystery movie. It's a story about 12 people trying their best.

Great movie. Watched it a few years back and re-watched it recently. I was shocked to see a low rating on such a gem.
Good cinematography, good cast/acting, good ost. Solid watch.

To be an A list actor at the prime of your career & do a movie like this takes some huge guts .

How can I even start this review? Lol. Take me to the day where I watched it for the 1st time. I was SPEECHLESS . Tori? What do you mean this is Tori? And what is he doing in a movie like this ? I couldn't believe my eyes lol. I was going through some of his projects I haven't seen yet and stumbled across this.
What I will commend the scriptwriter of this movie is the fact that it really tried to make the audience think despite literally the fact that everything about this was graphic sex, sex and sex galore. It explodes the psychological reasons as to why someone would want to get into that line of work ( prostitution). Is it because they suffered something in their past and are trying to fill a void, so they have some deep psychological issues that they're not aware of? Or could it be because they just like it and if that's the reason what does it say about them as a person? I know most people focus on the sex scenes ( which are WOW..how do these actors even film this? Lol) which is what 95% of the movie was about but I love psychology so I found that aspect fascinating. I appreciate the fact that it wasn't just gratuitous sex for the whole movie and that we had some sort of plot.
Also prostitution from a man's point of view? We don't get that often.

I love Tori as an actor . He's extremely talented. I've watched many of his projects prior to this so I was eager to find out why he would say yes to a project like this one at literally the height of his career..I was eager to find some interviews about him pertaining to this movie after I watched it and his thoughts about it were so interesting. Kudos to him for always pushing the envelope.

Very clever little film, with zero plot (plot wasn't much of a thing in 1926) but the animation is remarkably well done. I assume the person giving it a 5 doesn't really know what they were watching, because you'll need some lay insight in film technique and history to understand how making this was an impressive feat. If you're interested in the beginning of anime, it's a delightful watch.

I deduct a point since I rarely score something a full 10, story gets a 5 because it doesn't exist and music gets a 5 because it's silent.

Everytime I think that I've seen it all , Japanese movies are like " hold my beer"lol.

Rating this 10 Stars solely for our 3 outstanding actors in the main cast. I've seen them in other dramas and wow they outdid themselves here. That doll scene that they keep repeating was 1 of the most disturbing scenes I've ever watched ; just ughh was it really necessary to keep repeating it throughout the drama? So creepy and disturbing. And the sex scene? Speechless...I thought I've seen it all....yes I understand WHY is was presented that way but what comes up in these scriptwriters minds to come up with something like that ? Lol.
Honestly , I almost dropped it at 1 point because it's really slow in the beginning but I'm glad that I stuck through it because it became even more interesting in the 2nd half. What a talented cast. What a story.

Sometimes I love to watch things that are different and new and quite out there and this definitely fits the bill. Give it a try.

This film from 2015 was a hair more tolerable (better) for me, like the series that came out of this film two years later. The rambling and sometimes illogical progression of the characters is also present here, but it didn't have to deviate so much from the main storyline for long passages. The biggest refresher and currency was that the two main characters Nam and Meuk didn't HAVE TO PLAY ANYTHING, they were both not even 19 years old at the time of filming, so they were age appropriate and both gave a very solid performance. By that I just wanted to say that in the current projects actors are usually much older than 25-31 years old, often "rejuvenated" by Asian girls up to the eyes and playing teenagers. Of course, the experience of this film would be greater if the film could be watched in good quality. "Swimsuit movie", as someone writes here - I don't know, I haven't noticed any wave of swimsuits, there must be several dozen movies with "swimsuits".


Tento film z roku 2015 mi připadl o jeden chloupek pro mě snesitelnější (lepší), jako o dva roky z tohoto snímku vycházející seriál. Rozháranost a někdy i nelogičnost postupu postav tady je také, ale nemuselo se tak moc odbíhat na dlouhé pasáže od hlavní dějové linky. Největším osvěžením a devizou bylo to, že oba hlavní hrdinové Nam a Meuk SI NEMUSELI NA NIC HRÁT, v době natáčení neměli oba ještě ani 19 let, takže věkově oba odpovídali a oba předvedli velmi solidní výkon. Tím jsem chtěl říci jen to, že v současných projektech vystupují většinou herci již mnohem starší 25-31 let, mnohdy "omlazeni" asijskými afinkami až do očí a hrají si na teenegery. Samozřejmě prožitek z tohoto filmu by byl větší, pokud by film mohl být sledován v dobré kvalitě. "Plavečkový film", jak tady kdosi píše - nevím, já jsem žádnou vlnu plaveček nezaznamenal, to by tady muselo být několik desítek filmů s "plavečkami".

The movie based on the manga didn't suit my taste, I didn't like the story. Some of the simpler viewers, when they see these violence and murders, may start using them in reality. Plus wrapped up in an inverted gay relationship. But that does not mean that I will punish the film in other evaluation criteria, when I found the acting and processing to be above average. I do not recommend the film for delicate romantic souls.



Film natočený podle mangy se netrefil do mého vkusu, příběh se mi nelíbil. Některý z jednodužších diváků, když uvidí tyto násilnosti a vraždy, tak je může začít používat i ve skutečnosti. Navíc zabalené do převráceného gay vztahu. To ale neznamená, že film budu trestat v jiných kritériích hodnocení, kdy především herecké výkony a zpracování mi přišlo nadprůměrné. Pro jemné romantické duše film nedoporučuji.

Ruiku's best student has no idea how much of a "sacrifice" Maki has to make for the examining professor to postpone his final exam due to his hand injury. And at the same time, Ruiku first rejects Maki's love... Nice, pleasant, not offensive in any way.



Láska a hudba zde dominují. Nechápu, kam dal předchozí recenzent uši, když zvuk ohodnotil v tomto filmu třemi body z deseti, a přitom je to snímek, který se točí kolem hry na klavír a je v něm naprostým bonusem lahodná Debussyho hudba. Druhým bonusem v tomto filmu je láska, dvorská láska z dob středověkých, přenesená do podoby jednadvacátého století. Nejlepší student Ruiku ani netuší, jak velkou "oběť" musí podstoupit Maki, aby mu zkoušející profesor odložil termín závěrečné zkoušky kvůli zranění jeho ruky. A přitom Ruiku lásku ze strany Makiho nejdříve odmítá ... Hezké, příjemné, nijak neurážející.

Hongkongský film z doby, kdy bylo toto město čerstvě navráceno "matičce Číně" mě postupným sledováním zaujal i přesto, že kvalita kopie byla špatná, což má u mnohých vliv i na hodnocení. Soustředil jse se hned od začátku a vnímal proletenec vztahů, kdy i prodejný kluk může zažít skutečnou lásku. Devizou snímku asi nejen pro mě je i to, že v hlavních rolích hrají nádherní herci a hrají výborně, Daniel, Stephen a překrásná Taiwanka Shu Qi, která hraje lesbičku. A Korean sports film with Czech subtitles by monvi (thank you very much), which was assembled from the original series from the same year 2020 (all 8 episodes, does not contain any new scenes, we also have the series here with sk tit from ŠK) certainly for every viewer conjures up a good mood. The story was conceived in a comedic way, and Sang Ha imposed himself and pandered to Jin Won too much for my taste, and I was disturbed by the horrible roaring pianos in some scenes. On the contrary, pleasant songs colored other scenes, it should be highlighted that Hang was struggling with a difficult fate in life (he was literally fighting for survival), and at the same time he was still able to love, and the final kiss was just right (neither breathing fish, nor anything exaggerated, why would the viewer not believe). A nice diversion.


Korejský film ze sportovního prostředí s českými titulky od monvi-ho (díky moc), který byl poskládán z původního seriálu ze stejné roku 2020 (všech 8 epizod, neobsahuje žádné nové scény, seriál zde máme též s sk tit od ŠK) jistě každému divákovi vykouzlí dobrou náladu. Příběh byl pojat komediálně a Sang Ha se na můj vkus vnucoval a podlézal Jin Wonovi až moc a rušily mě v některých scénách ty příšerné řvavé klavíry. Naopak příjemné písně dobarvily jiné scény, vyzdvihnout je třeba to, že Hang bojoval s těžkým životním osudem (doslova se rval o přežití), a přitom dokázal ještě i milovat a závěrečný polibek byl tak akorát (ani nedýchající štítivé ryby, ani nic přehnaného, čemu by zase divák nevěřil). Příjemné zpestření.

In my opinion, the teacher-student relationship did not get more space for rendering, which is a shame. The character Tae Hee seems to be cursed with her role and the actress Lee Eun Joo lost her life for 4 years for filming at the age of 25.

The director did not make anything clear, as my pre-evaluator believes. The producers decided on this story and it was written by someone completely different and they hired a director to direct it, he can't break the story completely differently because he might get fired.
To tell you the truth, I liked the 2019 Thai remake of this story a little better, the movie Dew, which we also have here, in which the story is turned upside down and with a "different", more pleasant ending. And South Korea doesn't have to contend for the title of gay cultured country (see review below me). The Czech Republic is several levels ahead of the Czech Republic in terms of the production and quality of films and series with a gay theme. Overall, I rate this movie above average.

The film is very unconventional, and that is its strength. Yes, it can have a low or a high rating, I definitely agree that the film is a small original gem not only of the story, direction, processing, but also what some people forget in the rating - the acting.
Two amazing Hong Kong stars gave a super performance, convincing, human and I'm sorry Leslie Cheung ended his life just a few years after this movie premiered. Phew...


Film se hodně vymyká běžnosti, a v tom je jeho síla. Ano, může mít hodnocení nízké i vysoké, já se jednoznačně přikládním k tomu, že film je malým originálním klenotem nejen příběhu, režie, zpracování, ale na co též někteří v hodnocení pozapomínají - i herectvím.
Dvě úžasné hongkongské hvězdy podaly super výkon, přesvědčivý, člověčí a je mi líto, že Leslie Cheung ukončil svůj život jen pár let po premíéře tohoto filmu. Ufff ...

"Everyone has the right to love, but not everyone can have it."

This is the motto of this half-forgotten film, which I respect very much, even if it does not have a high rating on world servers. But the movie gave me what I expected, and that's important to me. I downloaded it here back in 2016 and only now got to it. The copy is of bad quality, even the sound drops out for a few seconds in four places, it seems to be the same on YT, I put the link in the Comments.
In addition to what the film conveys, I was impressed by all three actors in the main roles. The two super simpos of the characters Oiy and Ped were very good to watch and finally the Thai Kai was very charming.


"Každý má právo na lásku, ale ne každý ji může mít."

Toto je motto tohoto polozapomenutého filmu, kterého já si moc vážím, i když vysoké ohodnocení na světových serverech nemá. Ale mě ten film dal to, co jsem čekal, a to je pro mě důležité. Stáhl jsem si ho tady již v r. 2016 a teprve teď jsem se k němu dostal. Kopie je nevalné kvality, dokonce na čtyřech místech na pár vteřin vypadne i zvuk, zdá se, že je to stejné i na YT, odkaz jsem dal do Komentářů.
Kromě toho, co snímek sděluje, mě zaujali všichni tři herci hlavních rolí. Na oba supersympoše postav Oiy a Peda se velmi dobře dívalo a nakonec i Thajka Kai byla hodně půvabná.

The gay relationship between the son and his friend is apparently not the main thing in this film and is portrayed very subtly. The film is primarily about waiting, about hope and about the love between a mother and a son and between two young men. About how to sacrifice yourself for a loved one and take care of him during a difficult time in a coma and not knowing how it will end. The conclusion is more or less obscured, indeterminate, and each viewer takes and guesses his own, when the son lies down on the carpet after one lost year of his life between two beings exhausted after a year of caring for him and says to himself... "I still have them both here next to me two" ...


Pomalý příběh o osudech tří lidí může ze začátku vypadat trochu matoucí, neboť se neodvíjí v jedné časové ose, ale neustále se malinko v čase přeskakuje. Gay vztah mezi synem a jeho přítelem zřejmě není tím hlavním v tomto filmu a je vykreslen velmi decentně. Snímek je především o čekání, o naději a o lásce mezi matkou a synem a mezi dvěma mladými muži. O tom, jak se pro milovaného člověka obětovat a starat se o něj v těžké době komatu a nevědět, jaký to bude mít konec. Závěr je takový víceméně zastřený, neurčitý a každý divák si vezme a domyslí to své, kdy syn uléhá na koberec po jednom ztraceném roce svého života mezi dvě po roce péče o něj vyčerpané bytosti a říká si .. "mám je tady vedle sebe stále obě dvě" ...

This movie is the first of Takumi-kun's five series of yaoi (yaoi) based on the manga, I liked it and didn't offend anything. Tento film je první v pořadí z pěti série Takumi-kun o jaoi (yaoi) na motivy mangy, líbil se mi a ničím neurazil. Ohledně zjednodušených termínů pro nejaponské publikum spíše tento první díl a i druhý je šónen-ai. To, že nemám kvalitní kopii a zvuk nic nemění na známkách, které dávám. Snímek může působit naivně, láskyplně, jako pohádka, ale ve skutečnosti je to natočeno podle japonských neměnných pravidel a někteří hodnotitelé zde toto nemusí pobrat. Za mě mírně nadprůměrný film o šónen-ai lásce.

Those who do not understand this genre of pictures of the Land of the Rising Sun can only wonder and remain "surprised", see previous reviews.
A sensitive and gentle picture, where Gii is seme and Takumi uke from the very beginning. There was also a change of both actors in the main roles, why, I can't judge, because for example I liked Gii in the first series. I think "two" is one of the best of the whole series.



Krásně natočeno, dalo by se říci přesně podle japonských pravidel a norem šónen-ai mangy. Film o lásce, chlapecké lásce, žárlivosti, ukázněnosti a ... smrti.
Ten, kdo nechápe tento žánr snímků Země vycházejícího slunce se může akorát divit a zůstávat "překvapený", viz předchozí recenze.
Citlivý a jemný snímek, kdy od prvopočátku je Gii seme a Takumi uke. Došlo i ke změně obou herců v hlavních rolích, proč, nedokážu posoudit, neboť např. Gii se mi v první sérii také líbil. Myslím, že "dvojka" je jedna z nejlepších celé série.
