THAT GOOD OMG
The story is good, a policeman can already be said to be close to retirement but is still very totality to eradicate existing crimes.For action, you can say it's pretty okay.
And for the comedy part, it's quite entertaining for me considering it's not a comedy genre but action, but I think it's funny and there's just their random behavior.
The story part of the cast touched me to their company, their behavior, loyalty is in my opinion the interesting point in this story.
This movie was released in 2015 yep ... It's been 8 years almost 9 years but it can still be enjoyed, there is no time limit that makes it too late to watch.

A love story spanning different worlds
The story begun as everything normal yet unexpectedly perfect but soon the truth is revealed.The pacing of the story was just perfect. A perfect beginning, a perfect ending. Story-wise, I have no complaint.
Acting was good, Nana Komatsu particularly stood out from the rest.
Classic Japanese Cinematography and direction, totally loved it!
Also the music compositions and direction, absolutely top notch, memorable and crafted around the story!!
Great production quality as well.
If you are looking for a bittersweet romance drama movie with a twist, this is it!! Even if you aren't looking for it, watch this anyway if you have the time!!

Interesting but felt short of expectations
The premise itself feels interesting and the movie also builds a somewhat strong premise. However the premise of sci-fi soon turns into a romantic ride but doesn't fully commit to either. Overall the story felt kinda cut short due to time restraints, so going for series approach would have been better. Also, the ending, although conclusive, felt kinda abrupt. There are multiple plot holes as well which are nothing groundbreaking but I would have liked for them to be addressed in a proper manner, but once again that can be excused due to the time constraints in a movie.Acting wise everyone does an okay job nothing extraordinary. Cinematography is excellent, classic japanese style, expressing the mundane-ness of everyday life even while capturing a totally different story.
The music certainly stands out if you are a western classical lover like me. The music direction was on point and so were the compositions. Totally loved it!
All in all if you have 2 hrs to spare, a fan of Kento Yamazaki or just an lover of Japanese cinema, give it a go.

MOVIE SCREAMS COME HERE IF YOU HAVE WATCHED ORIGINAL VERSION
Having watched all the versions of unrequited love , I feel that I am qualified enough to talk about Blue Summer .The story of unrequited love is really close to my heart because I can really relate to it .
My Blue Summer lacks in one of the major things its predecessors had , THE SENSE OF LONGING , yeah I get it that unrequited love is a slow burn feeling , that heartache , the pain comes gradually so those emotions are difficult to show in just two hour movie . The emotional connect of the viewers to this kind of feeling will also take time. But I have seen better movies on same theme which are able to convey the same thing very effectively .
the movie came out very bland , because I feel that they have really changed the feeling of the story all together . The male lead already knew about the FL 's love before they met in uni ?!!!!!!! What ?That just takes away the essence of the story , it takes away the essence of their relationship building from zero level .
Another thing I wanna point out is that this movie is very dark in its colours , VERY DARK . I get it you are trying to create some sort of sad backdrop but it overshadowed even the scenes which were meant to be happy . In this case the original 2019 version did a great job .(Ps on contrary 2021 just whitewashed everything which I didn't like either )
Next I really didn't like the way Male lead acted .I couldn't feel any chemistry whatsoever . In previous version SH gets infatuated by LZ somewhere because how well she knows him inside out but here , nope .
And and and the worst part is the raincoat scene which in previous ones was one of the actual cause of drama , here comes as a sweet moment between the leads . Many small details such as Baili crying only for 10 mins etc. are there to pay tribute to the og story but really couldn't do it right .
At last I wanna say you might find it really boring if you haven't watched the previous versions and feel no emotional connect and if you have watched the previous ones you might just get angry . YOU SHOULD JUST GO FOR 2019 ONE .

How the next relationship between Xavier (for me the irresistible Tony Labrusca) and Mica will turn out, you will find out in this film, which is not a typical BL. Acting at a high level, especially the main two characters. Predictable plot, it must be reckoned that it is an ASIAN movie. Those who know understand what I mean, Those who don't will spew venom and filth here.
The catchy theme song, which is sung by the actors Tony and JC themselves in slow motion towards the end (I added both clips to the Videos folder), I had to deduct a point because the guitar was out of tune in the last third (it's about the third Asian movie, do Asians have no musical ear at all?).
Some great shots of the Philippine seascape. Overall, a very nice lamp
Film navazuje na původní seriál a je to čerstvá únorová novinka (díky karcikarlovi za link). Xavier se rozešel s Micem a vrátil se ke své přítelkyni. Celá parta přátel odjíždí do prázdninového rezortu na literární soustředění.
Jak dopadne další vztah Xaviera (pro mě neodolatelný Tony Labrusca) a Mica se dozvíte z tohoto filmu, který není typickým BL. Herectví na vysoké úrovni, především hlavních dvou postav. Předvídatelný děj, je nutno počítat, že je to ASIJSKÝ film. Ti, kteří ví, chápou, co jsem tím chtěl říci, Ti, kteří ne, zde budou plivat jed a špínu.
Chytlavá ústřední píseň, kterou ke konci zpomalenou zpívají i samotní herci Tony a JC (oba klipy jsem přidal do složky Videa), bod jsem byl nucen ubrat za to, že v poslední třetině byla ta kytara rozladěná (je to už asi třetí asijský film, to nemají Asiaté vůbec žádný hudební sluch?).
Pár skvělých záběrů filipínské přímořské krajiny. Celkově moc fajn žážitek.

War is Absurd
It has nakid children saving freshly sold-to-the-brothel girls while singing a jaunty tune.Seriously it is a musical about early WWII Japan before the west got involved. It is so absurd in its portrayal of the ridiculousness of the war itself shown through child's play and the seriousness of reality.
The mostly child cast carries the movie through the harshness of resource poor Japan through symbolism and play. Mock wars to mimic the actual war that is waging at the time. Its kinda deep if you know history and its effects on societies. the thing that brought the rating down for me was the unneeded use of unclothed children.

REVENGE!
REVENGE! that is the theme of this drama, so watch as karma removes bad people in the way of revenge, but do not look for a strong plot outside of REVENGE! cause there isn't any. Not super memorable out of any of the other female revenge killer movies. This is supposed to be the inspiration for the Kill Bill movies.This is like a super hero origin story. "Born in dark prison, father unknown, her destiny to carry out her mothers revenge for the death of her husband and son" . (Make sure to say that previous line with movie trailer voice over). She is then sent to train with JiJi hard-ass, master of making little girls stay in moving barrels. The Deaths are super hilariously over acted. Like VERY BAD. The blood color and thickness off even for the 70's.
Watch it if you liked Kill Bill or you crave ladies with Katanas and lotsa fake blood.

Karma is a beautiful fearful bitch.
The story revolves around a man that was abandoned as a child and was brought up by the hard knock life of the streets. Money was his only goal and little old ladies were easy targets. Helps an elder lady while on the lam for his crimes because he just could not leave her after a moped accident. Thus the story begins.The story is told very slowly, almost unbearably slow, but the redemption arc is amazing and how we all love karma and her wicked ways of balancing justice is woven perfectly into this story.
The cast does an amazing job of bringing these characters to life to tell the story written by some excellent screenwriters. If you have the patience for this i recommend it.

this made me want to kill myself
as much as the first movie in the series already wasn't a masterpiece, this shit it just ridiculous. first of all, at least 20 minutes of both second and third part is just repeating scenes from the first part (the aoyama and child haruto kiss scene is repeated at least a thousand times). also the same piano piece plays the entire time thru the whole series, which after a while made me lose my mind. the plot is horribly stupid, too many poor plot twists that didnt make much sense, but i personally enjoy watching absolute dogshit. the problem is, WHY IS IT SO BORING? without the unnecessary repetitions, the second and third part could make a decent one if merged together. but as separate movies, theyre just pretty fucking boring, especially this one. also, was ruka being fucking dubbed the entire time? i couldnt focus on anything else than his voice being unnaturally louder, clearer and emotionless than the others. honestly the only good thing about this part would be that one seiya and the crusty old man sex scene, just because i find seiyas actor insanely attractive. nothing more to it, the first part was definitely enoughWas this review helpful to you?
Revenge At ALL Cost
I have not seen the anime but by the previous review I need to.The story revolves around revenge which starts out with the scarring of a woman's face. The MOST HEINOUS crime of all of Asian culture. Her attacker provokes her by saying she deserves to live the scars cause she will always think of him when she sees them. She will get revenge in exchange for her own soul going to the same place she is sending his.
Thus begins the never ending cycle of revenge Japan loves to showcase. "When seeking revenge, dig 2 graves".
There was no lead time between each incident, thus it felt cramped and hindered by the short time span of the movie. I had no context who the four harbingers were that accompanied lady death. Its Time passer, but only if nothing else is available.

Arena Becomes Biggest Seafood Bowl Of All Time!
The Story, Typical Kaiju Origination Story: Science + Seafood delivery Bicycle accident equals bad acting, high School Kaiju costumes and a fake scientist rivalry.So Why would I rate this an 8.5? Because I could not keep the smile off my face. All the absurdity that I believe would really happen From the Prime Minister to the TV spots and Youtubers. Because reality is absurd. Just think for moment, if you will, if a giant Cow, Sheep and Chicken appeared in a Western country: How would our respective governments handle it? Would the reality be any less absurd?
The rewatch value falls into the category of what did I miss that might actually occur IRL.

Film o opuštěnosti, hledání lásky a narovnání rodinných vztahů. Příběh se odehrává v tiché oblasti japonského venkova, na rozdíl od dunícího kotle největší třicetiosmi milionové megapole světa Velkého Tokia. Dalo by se říci prostý příběh, a přitom tak ZÁSADNÍ, plný člověčenství, lidsky zahraný a zpracování bylo též nadprůměrné. Doporučuji všem divákům, kteří vědí, co život obnáší nebo může přinést za kotrmelce. I hodnocení na MDL je jedno z nejvyšších vůbec. Příběh ve mě dlouho zůstane.

I rate most scenes highly (even the "memorable" ones with nice music). Only a few were more amateurish, mainly fights and cut-up rapes. The very end may lead most viewers astray that it is embarrassing (due to the cut scenes and perhaps not quite accurate translation from Chinese). But I think that the final sentences of the painter Su He are his rehearsing the prologue to the exhibition of his works (he looks in the mirror), he will not present publicly how things are in China.
"An ornate act full of luxury", as the previous reviewer assessed the film, I didn't see the film like that at all. The main character is a simple Chinese burdened by his father's debts, and the story takes place in the ordinary environment of Chinese homes, a studio and the streets of Chongqing.ulic.

Originally, I was expecting a mystery spectacle from start to finish, but it's not like that, the acting is above average and I really liked the way the symposist Ryan Yuan (Chang Ru Hao's character) plays.
Velice hezký film, který mě osvěžil tím, že po čase zase vidím pořádný mladý muže a ne studující náměsíčné nádivky, jeden gay a druhý heterák s otazníkem, co se nebojí poprat s konkurencí a pořádně si i zasportovat.
Původně jsem čekal mysteriozní podívanou od začátku do konce, ale není tomu tak, herecky nadprůměrné a líbil se mi vysloveně, jak hraje sympoš Ryan Yuan (postava Chang Ru Hao).

Kao pokračuje v druhém díle této komedie, kde v některých částech se usmívám spíše těm kreaturám. Tentokráte má za parťáka Nuta a ti dva jsou nejsypatičtějšími postavami filmu. V tomto příběhu je už více herců různých odlišností sexuálních i identických a celkově není možno mnoha scénám moc věřit (spíše zase pro usmání - hrozbě zbraní, šukání přes oblečení atd.). Přesto film nezatracuji a kdo má chuť, ať zkoukne.
