Pretty and quiet
I believe this short film deserves at least one watch. It's a coming-of-age story about a boy, Yi Jie, who slowly comes to some realizations about his feelings toward his girlfriend Pei Xuan and his art teacher Cheng Qi.I don't recommend watching if you're looking for an exciting plot, because this short focuses for the most part on the feelings of the characters. Rather than looking for events, it's important to pay close attention to the reactions of the characters to certain things and the dynamics they have with each other. The acting is pretty good and the camera work is interesting as well - I was able to understand what was going on without being spoonfed the entire picture.
The tone is a little bittersweet, as it usually is with coming out stories about high schoolers, but I didn't mind at all. The 100 apples idea was actually pretty cute and made the ending sweeter to me.

Passion takes flight and soars
This movie is overflowing with heart, passion, and dedication. The unsung people known as test pilots are so under appreciated. Born to Fly highlights their spirit and determination in their chosen profession, taking on risks to ensure their air force have the best possible equipment to go about their duties.I love how the director tried to keep it as real as possible (from what I heard in interviews), incorporating anecdotes from real test pilots, showing us glimpses and sacrifices of their lives.
The aerial scenes are breathtaking, so vivid and mesmerizing. I also love how the story takes us through the conditioning and training one would go through to even be considered for a test pilot position in China.
Lei Yu is an eager beaver, going through life fueled by his love of the air. He can be spontaneous to a fault however he more than makes up for it with his intelligence, love of problem solving and drive to succeed. Wang Yibo plays Lei Yu to perfection, injecting his brand of 100% dedication to his chosen craft.
I love the camaraderie between the team and personnel, everyone understood their assignment, gave their all.
This movie is well casted, I especially loved Hu Jun’s role as Zhang Ting, he inspires such loyalty.
You will laugh, cry, cheer but most of all, overflow with admiration for a team of dedicated people at the end of this movie.

Kamen Rider Build the Movie: Be the One

Best Match confirmed.
For a Kamen Rider series tie in movie this is excellent. It’s also further confirmation, that honestly after episode 31 I am not surprised at anymore, that Banjou and Sento really are a Best Match. I know some will read it as friendship but it’s been clear to me since 31 that there’s a romance here too. Not just a bromance and this film provided more of this.It was a hard movie to watch at times, Sento being literally brutally beaten physically and emotionally. I’m sure this went over most younger kids heads but for any adults in the audience it was a rough watch.
He picks himself up via his faith and belief in his friends and that Banjou is his most important partner. All in all I really enjoyed it.

The majesty and cruelty of Life ... inseparably intertwined
:・*:・ 10/10 MAJESTIC・:*:・゚This movie was based on a true story written by Yang Liu Song. He was the first person to ever attempt to cross the Qian Tang uninhabited zone horizontally by foot. Zhao Han Tang plays "Yang" and Jiang Yi Yan plays "Lan Tian", who is also a real person who runs an inn in Lhasa. The scenes from the Qian Tan uninhabited zone were actually the real deal and my god, the cinematography of them was absolutely magnificent ... it was mind blowing awe inspiring. The landscapes, the vastness of land and sky ... some times you could not tell where one ended and the other begun ... the colours and the majesty of it all WOW ... profoundly beautiful, rugged and harsh and so 'true to itself' at the same time. The score matched the majesty of the vistas and the human struggle ... it was so in tune with it all ... magnificent and hauntingly beautiful ... such a visual and auditory feast╰(*´◡`*)╯
The story itself was very thought provoking ... human existence ... what the hell is it ... why do we exist in the first place, for what purpose ... how long should a person 'keep trying'. Some dialogue that I thought was thought provoking ...
All my life I've wanted to do something that I actually want to do. Just like the old saying, many people die at 30, but they aren't buried until they're 80. I just want to feel like I'm still alive.
(Yang)
I have nothing, but I still have to give those inspirational speeches. I have to pretend to be optimistic! I know I am lying to myself, but what else can I do?! What else can I do to move on in life? ...I'm so tired of living. I'm just so tired ... ... You should have let me end my life, not help me achieve my dream. I've tried so hard in life, but I'm still full of despair. I can only use death to defy my cruel destiny. What's wrong with death?
(Lan Tian)
Lan Tian's spirit could survive and thrive in the wild but her body found it very difficult ... her body could survive in civilisation but her spirit found it really difficult ... what a sad and tragic contradiction ... Yang knew what she was going to do and I think he wanted to help her achieve her dream before she took that path. Lucky he did because it was a path she did not end up taking.╰(*´◡`*)╯
Yang later reflects: Why cross the wilderness? Perhaps I have been searching for what is right in front of me. In this vast universe and in this short life, building up the courage, doing what you want and becoming the person you want to be.
It is an amazing and magnificent story ... I whole heartedly recommend you give the movie a go, even if it is only to behold the magnificent vistas that were so beautifully filmed. Watch to the end for some interesting behind the scenes shots.

Loving You
I watched this in very poor quality video on youtube so if you know of any other service providing a better quality please do tell! I'd love to watch it again because the story is fascinating. It is a story of two photography students. Noboru is an immensely talented but introverted and barely talking to others. The other one, Hayase is impressed by Noboru's talent and intrigued by his personality and even though he tries to be friendly, he is met with an unbreakable wall every time he tries. One day Noboru saves Hayase from drowning. A few days later Hayase bumps into Noboru's twin brother Ryu, who is the complete opposite.
They do not make them like this anymore: the authors managed to tell a complete, complicated story of Noboru and his twin brother in a 1h movie. On the other hand, we know absolutely nothing about Hayas: I guess he is just an ordinary student coming from an ordinary family. But surrounded by a bunch of annoying friends starting with the noisy and nosy girl hitting hard on Hayase of which he is completely unaware.
The best scene and the most original was a photography shoot duel in a studio. Amazing idea! Fun and it tells a lot about the characters' relationship with each other and tou can actually see Noburu's walls cracking....
The movie is 15 years old and it shows in costumes and flip mobile phones (aaahhhh, good old times!😂) but what is important
here is the story well told with an interesting twist at the end! I wish it were longer in order to elaborate more on the issues involved and how to deal with them. This is the problem here, just like in a lot of bls where they mention mental health issues quickly solved by falling in love.

What's new from the Korean remake?
As someone who has watched the original or the Chinese film in the same title which was basis of this remake, the key difference I have seen was it was more intimate in portraying their friendship as it gave more platonic aspects. Also, the timeline in their lives were more established and clearer in the Chinese film rather than the Korean remake that's why some were confused what happened when Misoo and Haeun were apart or what's the real story from the blog site and on what truly happened.Nonetheless, the emotions even the ending was there which was not far from the original. Still, I highly recommend that you watch the Chinese film since it was more dramatic from how different the two women lives were and how their bond remained strong over the years. I know some of you will say that the remake could make itself different from the original, however, the Chinese film was so good that I can't help but to compare them.

Lady Snowblood 2: Love Song of Vengeance

Be careful what you wish for!
Lady Snowblood: Love Song of Vengeance saw the return of Kaiji Meiko as the titular character. Where the original film was tight and thrilling the sequel felt overly talky and plodding. The story of personal vengeance was replaced with political maneuverings and corruption. The story begins with Japan's success in the Russo-Japanese War with much singing and cheering. The cheering gives way to anger and riots as inflation skyrockets and people struggle to feed themselves. Lady Snow (she dropped the Blood part but no one heeded her request) after surviving her blood-soaked battle in the first film is on the run in the second. Tired and betrayed one too many times, she surrenders. Sentenced to die for her 37 unrepentant killings she's saved from the hangman's noose by a shadowy secret police. They hire her to spy on an activist and once she finds the evidence he has regarding their corrupt activities she is to kill him. Big mistake. The activist, Ransui, reveals the evil ways of the secret police and she joins him. When he is captured and she is injured, the fate of the secret police and their official benefactors is sealed.
Despite the high stakes in the story, I found myself struggling to concentrate through much of the middle of the film. It didn't help that the majority of characters simply weren't likeable. Even the people trying to bring down the secret police were extremely flawed individuals.
The sword fights were standard 1970's swing and fall fare. As in the first film, buckets of red dye #40 spewed during the fight and torture scenes. Lady Snowblood must have had a need for symmetry. One bad guy who had lost an eye, lost another one after fighting with her. She "dis-armed" a one-armed villain as well. The fights were as violent but not as stylish as the first film. Which sums up the movie in general. It wasn't as stylish or polished as the original.
I'm not sure where the title came from. Aside from a gratuitous sex scene between the activist and his wife, the woman he stole from his brother, there wasn't any lovin' going on. Whereas Meiko seemed intense and focused in the original, she seemed almost distracted in the sequel until the fighting began. Snow certainly wasn't casting any longing looks toward the scoundrels in the story. Like her, I didn't find any of them that compelling either.
Lady Snowblood: Love Song of Vengeance paled in comparison to its predecessor in terms of acting, fighting, style, and story. Kaiji Meiko still managed to make Lady Snowblood a fascinating character, but she wasn't given enough to do to carry the movie on her narrow shoulders this time. While I found the movie watchable, it won't be memorable.

*Chef's kiss*
So, as a disclaimer, I am a massive fan of Park Seo Joon, so I'm gonna be biased in this. (very very biased in this.)The acting in my opinion is brilliant, they don't have plot armour, they act as what would be expected from any police student in that situation. And, oh me oh my, I haven't laughed so well since yesterday. The humour is fantastic and what little school scenes there are, they're highly relatable.
Loved this and will be coming back again in the near future. 10/10 would recommend to anybody.

I like this movie so much, i like how their love story began and the ML character is just like my type. He is kind hearted and cool and has a sweet charming when he's smile. But i felt so bad for him coz he died when he was trying to see the FL lead and caused him an accident (maybe not), i really hope for him to have a happy ending....I like this movie so much, i like how their love story began and the ML character is just like my type. "하늘과 바람과 별과 시"
The movie has a feel of old black and white pictures coming to life. The camera is a careful observer and doesn't make unnecessary movements. It's a lot like a theater play that relies mostly on the actors performances, and those are amazing!🔸️I feel like it's the right way to approach such complicated topic as Japanese rule and tragic life stories of people who lived in another century. We have to keep a respectful distance to remember that there is no going back, and therefore the history lessons have to be learned. This distance also makes the movie very lyrical, with poetry recited over the scenes, expressing Dong Joo's thoughts and feelings and creating the flow.
It was a bit hard to understand the potential goals and motivations of the characters, but now poetry makes sense to me.

An amazingly touching story
I did not have any idea what I would be watching when I watched this movie, but I did not expect to end up feeling the way I did at the end of it. I really liked this film and it tells its story extremely well. This movie is based on the true life events of a couple of blind parents who decided to have a baby together and raise the baby. They have a daughter and the daughter can see just fine, but the hardships they all go through were really tangible and it constantly pulled at my heart strings. The first scene in the movie really sets the tone for the entire movie, you’ll have to watch it to understand but let’s just say I won’t be leaving my rice cooker electrical cables hanging off the side.
Kara Wai and Hugo Ng were really great in their roles as the mother and father, especially Kara as she had the mannerisms mastered in a way that had me convinced she was blind. Even the eye movements were eerily accurate. She is an over-protective mother in a time when there were no mobile phones and blind people didn’t have as many technological advancements we take for granted today, and I just loved her performance. Hugo Ng had an easier time as he had his eyes closed the entire movie, but you can see how he tries to uphold his own sense of self-worth and dignity while trying to earn money for his family. The scenes where the husband and wife interact were very touching and really felt like a couple who had been married and in love for decades.
Karena Ng plays the teenaged daughter and I thought she did a fantastic job in the role. She doesn’t want people knowing she has blind parents in fear of being bullied about it, and she cannot really mingle with her friends properly because of the responsibilities given to her as the seeing daughter of blind parents. The conflicts between these aspects of her life coupled with teenaged hormones made for some intense scenes when it all comes to a head.
Overall, this is a great movie. It won’t be for everybody that’s for sure, but I really loved the family aspect it brings and that genuinely, in the end, family really does matter.

I think the exciting sequences of movie were very good
I think the exciting sequences of movie were very good and your adrenaline will rise ♀️ 🙆🏻But it also had some weaknesses, such as the story of spreading smoke, which I wish would be better and stronger...
Spoiler
Or, for example, in the last sequence, I wish they would show exactly how to get to that mast
Of course, one of the things that was interesting to me was that, unlike other films of this genre (at least the ones I saw👀), it didn't have the same stereotype that the whole country and then the whole world will face this challenge...😁🙌
But overall, it became lovely with Jung Suk and Yuna's charming acting and watching it can be a good experience for you 🙂♥️
