"Hero" is a very specific drama with an even more specific shooting style. Sometimes we see the image from a camera placed on the ceiling, sometimes from a camera mounted in the wall. It gives a very original effect, which may not be to everyone's liking, but it certainly makes this drama visually not trivial. Additionally, there is a distinct sense of humor and all the characters are clearly flawed, which gives them a specific, slightly sarcastic charm. In terms of plot, "Hero" quite subtly touches on a lot of important issues whether through its criminal cases or through the lives of its characters, which makes the drama interesting and varied. I appreciate this drama precisely for its wisdom presented in such an original way and for its specific humor. However, I have to admit that when I watch it again years later, it doesn't have the charm it had when I first watched it.
Good cast, music ok.

WTF Did I just watch?

The synopsis definitely does not match what I just watched. The tags don't even match. I was expecting some slice of life or even friendship stuff, but I got that mixed in with some random sci-fi and now I'm all confused.

Shouldn't have even wasted my time watching this.

STORY:

Saimon is in love with his best friend Takashi. As seniors in high school, both Saimon and Takashi are concerned about their future. Saimon is set to go to collge, while Takashi is going to take over his father's business. Takashi feels like it's the end of the road for him since he has no luck in women. He confesses to the only girl in his grade and his shut down. He then finds a women's number in the bathroom stall. Desperate, he decides to call it and meet her. Saimon isn't a fan of his idea, but goes with Takashi on his journey to meet this woman.

On their trip, Saimon and Takashi meet a biker, who no longer rides a motorcycle and has taken up cycling. The biker's girlfriend is suddenly abducted by and alien UFO. Meanwhile Saimon and Takashi meet the woman. Takashi has a nose bleed, so the woman cares for him, while Saimon sulks outside. On the verge of tears, Saimon meets the biker again, who tells him to man up. Saimon returns save Takashi from the woman, but Takashi is beaten up by the woman's other suitors. Taka shi is desperate to save the woman, but Saimon confesses his love to Takashi and says he won't help find her, leaving Takashi to save the woman himself. Once again, Saimon encounters the biker, who takes Saimon to save his girlfriend and Takashi.

Takashi, the biker, and Saimon arrive just in time to save the woman from being abducted by the UFO, but that's where we learn the alien in the UFO is the woman's ex-boyfriend who cheated on her with another woman. He is back to win her back.

The film ends with the woman getting back with her alien man, the biker getting his girlfriend back from the alien, and Saimon and Takashi heading home. Saimon says he's given up on Takashi, but Takashi says he still likes women but until he can find a girlfriend that Saimon should help him out.

The film was good until the whole UFO/alien storyline began. Yes there was a lot of sexual innuendos, but the whole plot revolves around Takashi trying to get laid, so that's no problem. The big problem is the sci-fi aspects, it's just so random and doesn't fit with the tone of the film. The film was very slice of life until the biker's girlfriend is kidnapped by the UFO.... Also, why was she kidnapped? I don't get it. It was so random and out of nowhere.

This film is so confusing. I guess it has a plot, but the slice of life aspect and the sci-fi don't match. It's really strange.
Also, I don't get the ending. Saimon threw his drink to Takashi, who disappears and a animated humanoid bird thing with a lizard's tail appears... WTF? I can come to terms with the weird UFO aspect to the movie, but the ending really upset me. Let Saimon and Takashi have their friendship ending or have them hook up. Don't confuse us with that weird creature. What happened to Takashi? I'm so confused.

OVERALL:

I'm half-Japanese, so I understood what I was watching, but I was still confused. Don't even bother watching unless you like weird sci-fi movies like Sharknado. The film is definitely not what the synopsis says and isn't worth your time. The film is starting to turn into a lost media and it should stay that way.

Could have been a music video.

Honestly speaking, the story is so simple and the characters have no depth, this could easily fit into a five minutes music video.

Most of the enjoyment I felt came from the visual aspects of the movie - some scenes were truly beautiful. Sadly, this does not live up to my expectations as a movie spin-off of The Untamed, as it has no wits, silly undertones and comedy, nor the interesting characters. One would think making a spin-off would be a perfect way to explore the side characters and the lore of the created universe. I did not get it here.

It was just a really basic plot with predictable plots and conclusions. The cast did what they could, but the script was just too empty to make the movie exciting.

There is not much to say. In my opinion, this is a skip even for The Untamed fans. It did not bring anything to the table, except from improved special effects. Sadly, that’s not enough for me to enjoy a movie.

Too short!

STORY:

Yoona comes home to an empty apartment. She checks her calendar to find that she's forgotten about her girlfriend Soohyun's birthday. Later when Soohyun comes home Yoona is surprised to see that Soohyun isn't upset about it. Yoona tries to argue with Soohyun, but the later doesn't want to argue. Instead Soohyun asks to break up. They've been dating for 7 years, but she's tired now. She doesn't even know if she's dating Yoona anymore because Yoona doesn't even wear their ring.

This short film, is a nice take on the workaholic/distant husband troupe, except it's between women here. I really liked that the film took that troupe and ran with it, but I honestly felt that the film was too short for me to have any emotions or opinions on this film. The film starts just before their break up and ends when Soohyun closes the door on Yoona. We don't see what their relationship was before this all took place. We are only greeted with a flashback scene of what happened earlier in that day when Yoona leaves Soohyun for work, but that's it. We don't see any of their happy days, or know when Yoona started to pull away from Soohyun, so it's hard to make judgements. All I could think throughout the film was that if they've been dating for 7 years and Yoona was like this for most of the relationship, why did Soohyun stick around for as long as she did? Why was Soohyun so hopeful in the flashbacks?

OVERALL:

Honestly it's a nice slice of life short film, but it did feel a little too short. I would have loved to see some flashbacks of the many times Yoona distanced herself from Soohyun, so that I could feel some sort of emotion for either girls.

It's something to watch if you have some time, but you can still just skip over this film and you won't be missing out on anything.

Interesting

It's now some time ago that I watched this movie, so bear with me.
After searching for some time online, I finally found it and of course started watching it. And boy oh boy was that a ride.

TW: Pe*ophila, R*pe, Violence and Blood

First of, I don't think you need to watch the first movie to undeerstand that one. At least I never watched and and had no problems.

But some of the plottwists were just not my cup of tea though still understandable if you watch it again. From a person playing (sexualising) dolls to be a pedo to another person dying the way they bullied someone.

After watching it I can understand why some people call it a pink movie...

Not another zombie story..

I thought this was some kind of zombie stories.

First episode reminds us to beware of strangers, not all good deeds are returned.

Second episode was way better than the first one. Very timely, I think. Because due to COVID-19, many many people/workers were misplaced or out of jobs. Due to constant lock-down people ventured to online selling of all kind of things. The story is both sad and scary at the same time..

Third is too short to really make an impact and fourth installment is just plain none sense.

One out of four shorts is not good at all. Wasted time.

I had so much trouble focusing on the story, it was slow, which can be charming at a time, but this time I was not that much into it. The lack of chemistry was the problem for me. As I want to watch everything BL ever made, so I can write the best possible BL story, I will consider this movie as a part of my research! As for entertainment, I wasn't that much entertained! I could finish my review just here, but there are still some mandatory characters to fill in. Which says a lot about the movie - I was just so not impressed that I cannot write review of a decent length.

Strong but sad story

Firstly I have to say I didn't know this movie is the last in the series, so I watched it as a first one, but I think it maybe doesn't matter, because it shows the story from the very beginning.
The story is quite straightforward I would say, but what makes it very good are all the little nuances, talking about ethics, thinking about different topics like if it's right to kill people for greater good etc. Then a little plot twist near the end and the ending itself makes the movie a tragedy which will move your heart with emotions.
I also liked the flow of the movie, which (even though there are lot of brutal scenes) felt very calm, combining it with the very fitting soundtrack.
The fight scenes were also very well done and quite naturalistic.
I can recommend this for anyone who likes "samurai movies" and to anyone who likes to be moved by emotions, even though they can be sad.

I decided to watch this movie for Shison Jun who played one of the supporting parts but I fell in love with Kamiki Ryunosuke's Shin and Arimura Kasumi's Aoi. Their love story was so beautiful - and in the end so very heartbreaking.

The main hero, Shin, can see people's fate. Those who are about to die he sees as transparent, splotchy, as if they are already not there. It bothers him but he's convinced that fate can't be changed and so he doesn't even try to do anything about it. Until he meets Aoi. When he sees her turn transparent, he decide to try to change the fate after all. And he succeeds. But he learns that saving people comes with a terrible price for himself.

The last third of the movie, I pretty much bawled through, it was so sad. And yet so incredibly beautiful. You pretty much know how the movie must end, it's inevitable, Shin's fate is inevitable. And even knowing that, you root for him. Because once he realizes what he has to do, he makes peace with the inevitable and he sets out to do what is necessary.

What floored me was the twist with Aoi at the very end. That I didn't expect at all and when all the important scenes were shown from her perspective, I was honestly left gaping. Wow. So heartbreaking!

This movie is listed under the name "Food Stall" at Dailymoton, but the Korean name for it is the same.

There are actually more cast for this movie, but it seems no one really cares about an accurate display for those who do porn movies...

Dae-ho, Man-soo and Jae-kyeong get stood up by a mutual friend, the groom on an 'after wedding' drinking party he promised.

Instead of talking about the groom and his new wife, they exchange sex fantasies about women they have met or have seen; Two make fun of the one who is into "dominant women" as his fantasies indicate. He leaves only to come back and continue the night of food, beer and fantasies!

What is hilarious is this is also a comedy; a major twist at the and shows you the reality, rather mom-reality. of their fantasies as the woman they are fantasizinng about comes to collect their bill!

The music was really appropriate, especially when the one female lead is stripping! Lee Chae Dam does an excellent performance at making the men's fantasies become real on film! Lee Chae Dam is also part of the "twist" as the end as she gives the three men the night's bill!

There is another female cast as well; and as soon as I find here I will add her and her name. The second female main did the most nude scenes.

The atmosphere is that of a "working man's bar" I experienced in Japan when I was stationed there; only difference was the symbols ans writing on the wall (I could have read the bulletins had they been in Japanese).

No support cast as the only scenes outside of the drinking establishment is very late at night, past everyone else's bedtime.

Filming was good;

RE-WATCH VALUE: Occasionally in the future.

Loletta Lee and the aesthetics of Hong Kong

Well, Girls Unbutton is so Pornographic/Sex comedy. the plot is not strong at all, it's about Jenny trying to find a perfect man to love her. I watched it for Loletta Lee and the aesthetics of Hong Kong only. However, I feel like the genre of this movie itself makes the movie raunchy and not much in a strong narrative. It's boring and very silly at times. However, there is a lot of explicit scenes. if you are into it then this movie is a visual treat for your eyes.

The movie is all about HOW TO MEET AN Ideal man, Jenny trying to figure it and explore many means to get a man

Sweet, odd, very, very quiet...

A movie revolving around the hearing impaired without actually including hearing impaired leads.

This was a pretty sweet rom-com about a hard working boy who falls in love with a heard working girl , and chases her only using sign language and his adorable charm.

The movie has a slightly odd angle to the subject of love beyond sound and about 95% of the dialog is shown using sign language even thought the main characters have pretty good hearing and can both use spoken words and sound, The two start off using sign language and do not really seem to need sound to fall in love. A pretty decent message as a whole, and I guess showing that hearing or non hearing should not matter is easier when there is a possibility of actually hearing and does give this movie a certain uniqueness.

What i liked about the movie was the way they showed the sibling relationship as well as both perks and troubles of being a sibling to a person with a disability. I also liked that the movie did not ignore prejudice and problems both mede by society and by the disability it self that can affect a persons day to day life without letting it take over the story or be the only side of it. I also liked that they did shoe that it is possible for the hearing to learn sign language and that it is possible to make a whole move using it instead of spoken language too.

But I was a bit bothered by the abele bodied being in focus for the story of the disabled. Even if the stories message as a whole is people with disabilities are human, they can be independent and competent human beings... something just does not really sit right.

All in all an okay movie, nothing wow but definitely different and the leads are sweethearts indeed.

"I Really Regretted A Lot...For Saying I Regretted Meeting You. It's Exactly The Opposite."

"Midnight for Cinderella, 11 pm for Woo-Yeon/Woo Yun..."

Some people gave this movie a bad review, here and elsewhere online, due to the ending...

I wanted to as well at first, but I believe that that director is trying to "say something" by the way this movie ended.

This movie was told from the main male cast, Hwang Woo Yun's (Kim Young Kwang} viewpoint. Much of what I want to say here is how I interpret the main female cast, Hwan Seung Hee' (Park Bo Young) viewpoint, if I may.

Hwang Woo Yun is a happy-go-lucky juvenile delinquent in high school, He probably never had a girlfriend before Seung Hee; if he did, it was only for the "good times" and nothing else. I believe he needed the influence of a girl like Seung Hee earlier in life as well.

I personally would like two see this movie redone, but from Seung Hee's viewpoint.

In a way, Seung Hee needed a Woo Yun in her life as well. Her and her mother, (actress Bae Hae Seon) have been living the life of nomads, trying to stay a step or two ahead of the father/husband (actor Jeon Bae Soo)..He is an alcoholic, abusive apparently to both his family members and blames his wife for his troubles; remember this for later!

Seung Hee, having to stay a step ahead of her father, probably has never had a boyfriend yet; it is implied that they must move every time Daddy finds them again, or suffer from his constant drinking and abuse . I believe that Seung Hee loved her father, but not what he did to her and her mother.

Many reviewers call her "aloof" or "unfeeling" here and on other review sites; I personally believe that she is simply afraid to get close to a guy, any guy, knowing that if her father finds them another move by her and her mother will happen. However, Woo Yun's "bad boy, 'devil-may-care" attitude offers her a glimpse of what it may be like if her and her mother can settle down in one spot long enough to enjoy life for a while. I think she enjoyed not having to be so stoic for awhile!

Seung Hee showed her maturity that she had, and that Woo Yun needed, when she asked him to stop fighting if he wanted to be around her, and she told him, under her breath (by simply using her lips, so her father wouldn't hear her) to "Go!" after her father broke the glass when he forced himself into his wife's and daughter's home. Seung Hee also called Woo Yun and told him that she and her mother were leaving again, due to her abusive father finding them there. Her having to run from her father and not being able to stay in one place is, in my opinion, the reason that she came off what most people call "little or no emotion"; she couldn't afford to show her emotions then have to leave. I also thought it showed great maturity on
Seung Hee's part that she let Woo Yun know why she was leaving and couldn't stay.

While she felt safe from her father, she showed signs of a normal high-school girl, enjoying her time she was with Woo Yun and her fellow high school female students. Do you think you might be somewhat "emotionless" if you did not know how long you can stay in any one place?

They lose contact with each other, and Woo Yun has no real ambition except an unskilled job; that is, until he sees Seung Hee photo in a promo for a university, which finally makes him get off his butt and STUDY for a change. I feel that his parents are proud of his finally shooting for something greater in life!

Woo Yun finally goes to college but finds Seung Hee with a boyfriend; he tried to first sabotage their relationship, then gives her up again when he wins the game to prove her football boyfriend was "throwing the football game' since he had promised both Seung Hee and another girl a weekend for the two of them afterward if his team won, not 'the three' of them! He leaves her upset over the stunt.

They met again when Seung Hee is working in promotions in front of a camera and he also is employed;he drivers her to locations after her ride cancels his taxi service..Woo Yun is again there when she needs him!

While trying to obtain his dream, he visits Seung Hee on-location of one of her shoots and gets hurt saving her, dashing his plans for an athletic career; instead of applying himself, getting a any job and helping her, he tried to get his health back in pursuit of his "dream" athletic job! He could have helped her with any job, then working on getting back his "dream".

This movie depicts how it takes a woman sometimes to get a men motivated for greater things in the real world work: some call this "fate" but other call it physical attraction! This attraction to his lost love is the reason for Woo Yun for finally striving for something greater than a 'burger-flipping' job; it is Woo Yun that gains the most, in my opinion, in this relationship.

Woo Yun went from an amateur athlete dreaming of glory in sports to a teacher, who finds out how big of an ass he was to others while growing up! He matures so much after having to get a real job and put his dreams on hold.

Seung Hee being the more responsible one is paying the bills; however, she tells Woo Yun of a training assignment in Europe for 2-3 years where she can learn to master her profession . But before that can be discussed further, Seung Hee's father dies...again, she really loves her father, but in her pain of losing him, all the pain of trying to live with him while he degraded her and her mother while in his drunken state comes back during the funeral. While Seung Hee is remembering all the things he said and done, Woo Yun opens his mouth and says the one thing that will end their relationship: he is overheard by her saying that "she" could be the reason he cannot make it!

This opens up all the wounds he had caused her in the past, added to this is what her father claimed about his wife/her mother. Seung Hee realizes that Woo Yun is becoming her father! This seals the relationship and Seung Hee takes the job opening and training in Europe that her job offers her.

Woo Yun is left to fend for himself and finally makes the grade to become a teacher. He then finds out how much of a pain he was to his teachers when he finds students under his supervision with the same attitude he displayed when he was a high school student!

In my opinion, had Woo Yun found a job such as this when he and Seung Hee were together, his attitude would have improved and his maturing would have been greatly admired, and appreciated, by Seung Hee.

Both were immature in different ways, but Woo Yun needed to "grow up" more than Seung Hee; on the other hand, she was handicapped in her relations with men due to her father, and that hurt her acceptance of Woo Yun as well.

At the end of the movie, both are mature enough to have a marriage, but not to each other, unfortunately!

I personally like this movie better than the Chinese adaptation entitled My Love (你的婚) (2021):

Both Woo Yun and Seung Hee express their gratitude for each being in the other's life: for Seung Hee making Woo Yun a man, and for Woo Yun for being there for Seung Hee when she needed someone...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjxn216CYaQ whereas You Yong Ci, the female in My Love (2021), didn't say as much to Zhou Xiao Qi, her love for 15 years.

Another great movie about an immature couple getting married and later regretting not sticking it out will be found in Drama Special Season 3: The Wedding Planner (2012), an excellent movie as well!

The cinematography is great, even though some of the shots look like they were done on a hand-held camera...which would how some of the scenes would have been shot if done by a friend with them or them. This to me makes the movie actually more believable as we follow the main cast around town, which almost all of the movie is about.

The music is also great, except for one place, which I figure the director knew better than I about its placement.

The main cast were excellent together and they actually seem to grow as a couple; again, some mention that the female is less emotional than the male lead, but her wariness of establishing a real relationship then having to move again would make this necessary: I actually felt that she was thinking about Woo Yun's feelings should it have happened in the movie.

The support cast did an excellent job in their parts and for supporting the main cast in telling the movie's story.

It is a one to one and a half box of Keenex movie.

RE-WATCH: Yes, but I also think that a movie like this should be mandatory for young people in middle school to watch in order to show them that individuals must give up some of their "needs" and "desires" in order for them to become a compatible couple. Young people are not taught except selfishness these days, and the couple must give up some of their "individuality" so that when the babes come along, they can handle the stress, problems (but also) the pleasures of a family!

Worth for your time..!

My mind is filled with so much joy right now because i watched another superb feel good Movie from Philippine, i always curious about their film making, When other's are trying to make different type of films and experimenting everything, here they still going on the same path, nothing much about the story and screenplay but still it make you smile after you finish.

The story is very simple our hero, his name is Domino and yes, your prediction is absolutely right he is color blind after an accident and for our heroine's named Cara, Both of them were best friends and know each other very well, the story developing simply in a very cliche atmosphere and it was light and sweet till the end.

Another biggest factor about Philippine movies are the mood that it creates which was amazing and refreshing every time you watch, the leads are the best, worth for your time, even if you're little down today it will definitely boost up your mood, just try it

IT’S A GOOD START FOR 2022 ( BL MOVIE)

Well, this was a good movie. I love the storyline, scenery, actors and all aspects. The ost is very good. I love how they make this movie, with good moral values, how they preserved the ocean.. I love this movie.. Really good one..

I love how they start the movie, the plot, the climax and the ending, everything was smooth and perfect. I cried quite a lot.. hahaha but yeah.. it was a very good one..

Be noted, that the rating for viewers is 18+.. there is some sex scene, and nudity.
