Wow I just finished this movie 5 minutes ago but I think I need more time to really process everything that I have watched. First of all, I really really love the casting of this movie!!!! Looking back, I think that was the reason why I watched it in the first place. Aside from that, I love that it's under the genre rom-com. After watching a lot of heavy dramas consecutively, I've been craving me some romcom dramas/ movies.
I really liked how they portrayed the characters here, it was really close to reality. Even the relationship and careers of the main characters were portrayed really realistically. But the reason why I didn't give this a perfect score was because of the last part of the movie.
I honestly think the last part can be debatable depending on where you stand. For some it can be considered as the perfect ending because they see the other "Hyeok" as someone who is perfect for our FL since he takes care of her and everything. However, for others (me included) it can be considered as a very unlikely and to some degree "unsettling" ending. I honestly find it weird that the FL tried to get close to her patient because of his name and when she found out that her patient likes her, she used it to her advantage. Some see them as the perfect couple, but honestly all I can think of is that the second "hyeok" is nothing but a rebound guy. Same thoughts on "Boyeong". She's nothing but a rebound girl.
But don't get me wrong, it actually made sense that there were two Hyeoks. I honestly didn't get why the character of Jang Ki Yong suddenly turned for the worst when in the first part he was shown as a very dorky loving guy.
The guys who acts like "cupid" (the security guy i think?) was also a weird part. Like where the heck did he come from? Why is he matchmaking? Why is he throwing all this wisdom to Hyeok? It was really weird and creepy.
But anyhow... it was an okay watch. As what they say, to each his own.
Now unto the next drama/movie!

i unlike the other commenter don't think this movie is about cheaters, but a young couple coping with being married and all that comes along in a new relationship/marriage. dating while living apart can't be compared to living together and getting used to the others idiosyncrasies. both have their own idea/ideal of what/ how their spouse show be, but that isn't reality. its accepting and conforming, so u can become a unit, in order for any marriage/relationship to survive.
Young-min "cheating" episode or roaming-eye, was more like last minute jitters, cause he is committed to one woman, some get this before marriage, others several yrs after being married. it has nothing to do with him not loving her, he was just going crazy and when push-came-to-shove his subconscious called Seung-hee - Mi-young telling her he loved her, his subconscious cock-blocked him, cause he really didn't want to cheat.
Mi-young on the other hand wasn't any better, yeah she didn't kiss anyone or almost get into bed with them, but she spent the whole day prettying herself-up to go see an old crush (which after the concert - the whole scene was cringe worthy). and her fawning over Joon-soo at the cinema was also annoying, her laughing and touching him again and again even if he is someone younger that u work with - it doesn't look good, and of course ur husband would get pissed - like how she got pissed when she found out one of his "bros" was a girl. this fun and fine for a one off

i'm the odd one out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
maybe i'm the only jaded one here, but this wasn't all that.... not talking about the acting - it was good. the story was meh.... so a player wants and has a one night stand, then decided he wants more... this a grand love story?!?? ok....from the start he is like a bee hopping from flower to flower, does not mean - a bad guy - he is looking to enjoy the moment, and as everyone involved is an adult - this is legitimate. even with her he was straight up, no playing around the bush. she changed her mind not cause she fell in-love, but because she was unhappy in her current relationship.
her talking to her friends was a front, anyone with eyes could see that. why she have to apologize?? she didnt know he was eavesdropping. he on the other hand was very chuffed, when she said the sex was good, but when she said she wouldn't contact him cause it wasn't memorable, and it was just a one night stand, he got butthurt - why? his fragile ego got hurt?? she was kind stating a fact. no?!? when he says it - all's good?? but when it is thrown back in his face - not so nice to hear = be on the receiving end. makes u wonder how all his other female partners felt, when they wanted more - nope????
but cause he got hurt, he waited for her, and asked her to be his f*ck-buddy, i.e. purposely insulted her, which pissed her off. logically she told him off - she have to apologize, why? cause he left her a note?!? and who's to say that they r gonna have a happily ever after? maybe as he isn't into relationships they may last a week, a month or a year...
so the note and the end, were mehhh... writers "tying a pretty bow on it" so it can be sold as a romance. in "drama land" everything goes, and loads of viewers (going by the comments here) r gobbling it up, so whatever...

as is actors need to be gender-fluid, especially if they want to do all kinds of roles to get awards and be recognized as "great". they can't be uptight about roles. so the title and the acting was apt.
i think Yeong-woo's character was indeed in love, maybe he's bi or even if he was straight, i think the turning point was at the start where Jae-ha forced him to get into the role by physically pulling him out of his chair and then acting out the scene with him, his tears were real.
i think cause of the accident or maybe the life of an idol was getting old, he was apathetic to it all. but when Jae-ha took a hold of him physically, that was the start for him, from there on everything he did was not only to get close but to tease and awaken the same attraction in Jae-ha.
in the play - his acting as if he had really acted out the plays storyline on Jae-ha and his gf, was to punish Jae-ha for denying his feeling and acting as if his confession and the time they spent together affirming their love, was only acting. this was sad but also showed a side of acting that most know about, but gloss over. this was well acted and an interesting watch -

where to begin, doono why the movie is named Lady Vengeance, yeah everything is somehow tied to her, but still - for me the real Vengeance was the part with the grieving families - them finding out what really happened to their kidnapped kids - the turmoil, the arguments and conclusion - them taking the law into their own hands, meting out justice - was intense, understandable and relatable... that alone was worth the rest of time that was wasted watching this.the FL aint likeable, the back story with all the women was redundant, most of them didn't play any or just minor roles in her "grand" revenge scheme. the only one that did do sh*t was the last one (who got beat by the fat cannibal lezbo cause she allowed a mosquito to bite her), as she went and got into a relationship with that psycho after getting paroled, keeping tabs on him and thus being close enough to drug him when the time came.
the FL was all over the place - not always justified or logical... like her going to meet-up with her daughter. searching for her - logical, as she needed to make sure she was alive and well. but when u r hell bent on revenge, why drag ur child into it?!? doesn't make sense. finish what you've started, what's more urgent, then go see ur daughter when its safe - no???
the ending also, WTH was that? the kid wakes up coughing on the thick smoke in the room, rushing out in the snow, in bare-feet, her adoptive parents asleep? dead?!??? left unanswered... why?
donno, just weird and not in a good way, even anticlimactic, she got 13yrs for kidnapping a kid - which was the truth, and she may not have physically choked/killed him, but her kidnapping him enabled that psycho to do what he loves best, and her confessing to save her child/baby enabled him to continue kidnapping and killing more children - so she wasn't framed or wrongly sentenced. but she enabled all those families to find justice and peace, so something came out of this movie.

this was kinda sad. especially given the FL's back-story and life in general. as tough as she seems to be, that's how fragile she really is. found that endearing and heart breaking.
the movie is written and "shot" in a way that took a while to really know the characters, everything is unclear at the beginning (even towards the middle) and u go by what u see.
there r the bullies or Queen Badass Young Sook and her male counterpart Kwang Shik, who run sh*t and r in an alliance. not romantically involved, even though Kwang Shik begs-to-differ.
then there is Joong Gil the player, who needs to flirt and "get it on" with every girl in school. he was childhood buds with Young Sook, and is her childhood sweetheart. who she is not so secretly pining over. add fire to the flame by adding So Hee, a supposedly fragile sick girl transferring from the big city. and of course she has to be drop-dead-gorgeous (not in my personal opinion, cause even as a mean-girl Young Sook's baby-face wins), so Joong Gil who needs to conquer every girl in the vicinity, will fall head-over-heels for.
this is what u see, and then in the middle u start to get more info about each character that changes ur view and opinion about them.
the ending reminded me off Officer and A Gentleman with Richard Gere and Debra Winger, which was cute but not executed for full effect, as in the American movie mentioned. but positive ending, so whatever.

then u have Jimiko and Kyapiko, who r best friends from kindergarten, one is a nerd and the other a needy promiscuous airhead. and even though u see the connection at the end - its seems more like a side story of two good friends - and how they r there for each other - Kyapiko the needy promiscuous one jumps from guy to guy dumping them before they can dump her because she was more or less deserted by her single mother, and u see how lonely she really is, and how the only one she can rely on is Jimiko her bff.
then last we have Nadeshiko who is in a one sided love with Yachiyo, she constantly keeps confessing even though he keeps shutting her down. until their story develops and u see what is going on in each's mind, and how they seem to connect..
read comments that its a "must see" won't go that far, but it isn't ridiculous, stupid or some weird - out there sh*t that u can't "get". its stories about teens, love and even death (which comes out of nowhere, and was a bit shocking - as it was so unexpected - but that's a spoiler so wont go into it)... i enjoyed this and would've liked a better ending, but it is what it is...

this was weird... from start to end i was like " what the freak is going on".... there wasn't much logic why he started bothering her, why a kiss equated to marriage. especially to a guy that doesn't like being touched?!?then there's her acting, which was weirder... that whole scene where for whatever reason she is in a phonebooth being accosted but a dude that's down for a booty-call? guess hookers hang out in phone booths in korea?!? but lets overlook logic cause it was "funny", weird funny but funny - so whatever...
her bff was as idiotic as her, but then inserting some random dude from the USA, then those weird girls - that she takes a beating from, all making u wonder WTAF... but still u go along cause u r hoping that this crazy ride ur on, will get on the tracks somewhere... but NOPE, add another dude that's into her - why? who the f*ck knows, cause seriously she aint all that! not looks-wise or otherwise.
think i really had it with her when she slapped him and then rationalized it by saying she didn't want him to fight those seniors - like u f*cking serious?!? u know from previous encounters that he doesn't like them, but u still hang out with them and when he gets there - u still sit there with the STUPID look on ur face - waiting for what? shocked that he tells u to get up?!? she caused him to get hit, and then she adds insult to injury and slaps him? plz
after that all her tears were worth sh*t - i can't stand cry baby female leads that act like stupid idiots or worst mega b*tches and then cry... as if tears absolve them of everything - sorry don't get what everyone else is liking about this. not my cup of tea - is putting it mildly.

THE LAST MOVIE FROM THE OUTSTANDING ACTRESS KIM HYANG GI BUT NOT THE LEAST
a heartwarming movie about a serious social problem "single mothers and their hardships" , young chae played by actress RYU HYUN KYUNG is a single mother who raised a six-month-old baby, due to her busy life trying to make a living she employed ah young played by KIM HYANG GI as a nanny.what makes this movie exceptional is the realistic plot with no overdramatic and with a simple straightforward breakdown of the movie massage to the watchers .
as most of the indie movies, the acting here is top-notch, Kim Hyang gi gives us on this role a very similar but more stronger character of her role in the 2018 movie "young jo", ah young although she seems quite a typical character of a lonely orphan she didn't bear injustice toward her, she is stubborn toward what she believes is right.
Ryu Hyun Kyung give also a solid performance as young chae a woman who lost her dreams by choosing the wrong path.
the unexpected friendship between the main cast and their chemistry wasn't forced and their reactions to each other were healing, each one of them saw their past\future in the other, ah young saw her past in young chae son and young chae saw her son future in ah young .
totally recommended movie

the beginning needed a bit more info / explaining, as to why Inspector Kim's younger brother was tortured by the King and his adviser. maybe something was lost in translation (or it was just meant to draw a picture that Inspector Kim was a coward) btw the subs were really good so not blaming 'them' for not getting the context.
but the rest is Inspector Kim's aspirations to become a good/successful adult (erotic) books author. as it happens he catches the queens eye, and as she is beautiful and he Male - even a coward can only ignore, the advances and invitations of a beautiful woman. even before he takes the leap, she is his muse, and one thing leads to another.
this movie is for adult viewing - for sure, there ain't much nudity or sex scenes, but the dialog is very explicit and doesn't leave much too imagination. this was a fun watch. yeah the end when the queen finds out about the book, and the consequences aren't fun, but kind predictable.
still really A good movie and i highly recommend this too people who aint avers to the subject of sex and r into dark/dry/dirty humor.

this was weird on a different level. it's not a movie per-say. just short stories with no common denominator other then relationships/sex. even though i love Jang Hyeok the first story was boring, or rather (truthfully) thought the woman was a tease and annoying. but it ended with a (wishful thinking?) "happy ending" so whatever.the second one was annoying at first, like u get home once and have to play hide-n-seek with ur spouse, fine - cute - funny etc. but on a regular basis?!? it would get old fast. but then u get that she is sick and even dies but then her ghost is still around playing-hide-and-go-seek. but its endearing as she her spirit comforts him the way he needs... so cute
the 3rd was about vampires, weirder and weirder we get, guess that's what comes after death - the living death. first though it was gonna be some weird shit about abuse of power, but it took a weird turn and not lets forget the ending that turned into a cannibalistic feast. but the females had the last laugh - so female empowerment?!?
the 4th story - another twist on the weird merry-go-round, cheating dead spouse still around and the person/teen he cheated with turns into a plant that wants to serve the cheated wife as punishment for cheating on her with her husband?!? but the reason she was with the husband was cause she was into the wife all along?!? anyone???
the last wasn't weird or twisted it was just a question mark, as to why anyone in a relationship would chose this method to see how strong their relationship was. 3 couples change partners randomly and meet for the day, one couple get into sex straight away, another after a kiss part ways as they're sure they r secure in their choice of partner, the last (which i find ironic) the female who is the initiator of the idea (who seems messed up on another level, cause u get that she is/was having an affair (?) with her art teacher) and she kisses the guy in front to the same teacher, talking about how she gonna be getting it own with him and when they get to the room - kissing/attacking him, first he isn't responsive but as he gets into it she puts a stop to things. which i thought was a dick move. why start shit - he isn't a bad guy why u testing his loyalty?!? when the person u want proof from is ur bf (the first couple i mentioned) who u kind of know will be the one to cheat on u. that's why at the end 2 couple meet - while the ones from the art room don't.
to say i liked this would be a no. neither do i recommend this. was just weird. left clueless as to why i watched it. time just pasted.

movie was good, the beginning - hell until he made a run for it - it was a tough watch, especially knowing he was innocent and the sh*t he had to go through. was horror inducing for me, reminded me of a few movie (The Fugitive (1993) Ready Player One (2018)).. was at the edge of my seat on a few instances, and glad everything worked out in the end.the villain was psychotically evil, f*cker, no conscience at all - the guts to represent the person u incriminated and then add insult to injury u kill his mother, like no conscious at all. even after seeing how he was suffering in prison, really scary. and even though he was caught, the chick that was working with him is free and from what was said - if he is replaceable, she as guilty as he is and she will restart the operation and this insidious machine will be back at work. this kinda open ending is annoying.
have to say usual don't like FL's (in korean dramas, sometimes even movies) but Mr.Hairy was the bomb - no bellyaching and crying, acting cutesy and vulnerable, demanding attention and seeking help cause she a delicate flower. yeah she was an introvert, but she was strong and kick-ass and the sec she knew he was out - she was ready to help. even though cause of her being an introvert, pretty sure her contacting all the other players in the group and meeting up with everyone was emotionally grueling.. but really great watch

the scene at the start - i was like wow that didn't take a sec and we r getting both violence and a pretty intense sex scene... but the more it goes on, u "get" that only goes to show the hypocrisy and unfairness, where hundreds r being butchered, where the ones in power r enjoying the "fruits of their labor"... and this sh*t be going on even now, where people being slaughtered for a privileged few.but getting back to my opinion about the movie - this turned out to be a tragedy. sub's were killing the mood, found myself chuckling more than once at the absurdity of them, but the story is freaking sad.
Ga-Hee understandably wants revenge, she wasn't only brutally raped by that f*cker Jin, his family/ mother not only injures her mother when she comes seeking justice for her child, but precedes to burn her alive thinking, they were getting rid of the daughter/"evidence". who wouldn't want to demolish their family?!?... and as she isn't powerful she becomes a pawn (suicide mission from the look of things) for Prince Bang-won. who wants to get rid of that white bearded minister whose close to the king. what better way then through his family?!
ironically Min-Jea who is (well in name alone) Jin's father and the minister's son-in-law is basically a good guy, he is the pawn used to infiltrate the family. using info about his own unfortunate childhood. but as he is a good guy - unlike everyone else involved, he doesn't use or mistreats Ga-Hee. and their attraction is genuine. which in turn, grows into love. this was sad because of how it unfolded but it was good in-spite of the bad subs.
side note this aint NO porno, and people going on and on about this being Phonographic need to check out porn-hub to see what porn really is. yeah its erotic as f*ck, but it wasn't obscene or vulgar. so plz with the prudish attitude, there is so much more to this movie then the nudity/sex scenes, that focusing on only that, is childishly idiotic - if this is not for u - go watch something pg for the sake of ur own sanity

Amazing movie! Great for a binge, good acting!
I have no criticisms of this movie other than maybe more romance. The plot is amazing, everything is amazing, even the choice of dialogue and the styling is amazing. the main character, even though sometimes she doesn’t even say anything, her face is so expressive. you can tell her feelings from just a blank face. The male lead sort of portrays a great perspective of different emotions. This movie is not only good plotwise, but shows an amazing emotional journey as well. Would 10/10 recommend you to watch, has some great scenes and is overall very clean. Was this review helpful to you?
A rom com but make it realistic
I’d say that this movie was cute at least for me with a quite satisfying ending and a realistic story and great acting. If you are looking for your perfect romance movie with the excepted typical happy ever after ending this movie won’t be your cup of tea, however I’d still recommend it to you.
The story as I said is not your perfect cliché which is good for me, for me I found the female lead sooo cute I think she is the main reason that I liked the movie, I think I also learned some things from this movie about choices in life, I’d say it’s a well written story since it’s enjoyable and has meaning in it and also it has a plot twist that makes the whole movie much better which is a creative move from the writer.
Acting was excellent and I’d like to praise Chae soo bin since she is some kind of underrated, this girl has potential she is literally of of the few actresses out there that acts so naturally as if she wasn’t acting even her crying is amazing I wish that she’d be more appreciated, of course Jang ki young was amazing too I always liked his acting and krystal also was great she portrayed her character perfectly, the whole cast in general was great.
Would I watch again?
Yes, I think since the story some kind of changed towards the end it’d be fun to rewatch it while you know the idea of it
Overall it was a great movie not that kind of very interesting movie which will keep at the edge of your seat every second but a cute movie that portrayed real life with an enjoyable story
