I love the directing and the production of this film even if the plot itself wasn`t that original. But the most important thing is that it delivered well and i ended up liking all the characters.Especially a certain golden-hearted Mamura who Suzume befriends.

Life: Love on the Line (Director's Cut)

Beautiful and Real
Before watching "Life: Love on the line," I had never watched any BL movies or Japanese BL shows, and I'm so glad this was my first one. I really love how this movie showed the progression of a relationship starting from teenagers in high school to adults. They showcased real characters with flaws and real struggles. The storyline was amazing and included everything necessary, and didn't include anything that didn't add to the story. The actors did a spectacular job, and I really felt their chemistry and emotions. Yuuki was my favorite character, and as funny as it may sound, I truly related to him the most. I loved how imaginative he was and his personality. I'm glad I watched the director's cut before the episode series because I enjoyed the added scenes at the end and seeing the acceptance and change of certain characters. I was so happy and satisfied with this movie and most definitely will rewatch it in the future. If you're debating about watching the series or the director's cut, I highly suggest the director's cut!Was this review helpful to you?

uneventful but cute
the story was about 2 people in same yet different struggles, Woo Ram lost his mentor so he lost his hold on his dream, Hyun Ji as a normal graduate was trying to fight against the other candidates to get a joband in that moment they met, awkwardly yet naturally interacted, he kept going to her workplace and she kept looking forward to his visits and with that love bloomed
I think both did a great job with their characters, they were both soft and careful, as a girl with only a father and as a maknae in a 5 child house hold they both just naturally felt timid
now though if they gave them more depth and time to develop the romance I think Hyun Ji would've shown a cute cheeky side and soon Woo Ram would've lightened up and they'd have had more potential at a sweet romance
now the drawback was the unevenfulness. nothing much happened and soon they were super comfortable with each other and that lost their biggest asset which was the sweetness and the youthfulness of the 2 mains.
the struggles were shallow and the sadness was fleeting but overall for a 1 hour 40min it was a nice breezy watch

This was a nice movie/drama
This was actually really nice! I was worried the ending would be a sad one but it was all good and the ending was very sweet!I think the couples romance was a little slow tbh, but its okay I still liked it. They just didn’t get the romance between them going for a long time, it was more like Sang yi was a fan of his acting pretty obsessed but it all ended well in the end.
From what i’ve read this is better and more explained than the series so I’m sad I watched the movie version!

One of the better movies out there
I really liked this movie. I would like to see a drama made from it so the story background could be explained more and the romance part made longer. Lol I am a romantic😉.Storyline - I liked it. Only thing is that I have found with Chinese movies is that they cut a lot and jump a lot to tell the story. The difference from American and Asian movies, as far as I can tell, is that American movies based off a novel is just that - based off a novel that is anywhere from a couple of hundred pages to a couple of thousand. And I may be wrong but I have noticed most Asian dramas are based off a manga that runs for weeks to months to maybe years to tell the story and so most Chinese, Korean, and Asian dramas are long and many episodes so they can cover all the details. So for me the movies always fall short because there is to much story to put into a couple of hours and it gets chopped. I did really like this one however. It covered the basic and you understood what was going on throughout the movie. I just wish it had more background story to really tell why this was happening and so on. But again that would make for a very long movie like Lord of the Rings. But it was a good show.
Acting/Cast - I really liked the FL. I have seen her in many CDramas and have really grown to like her. She did a really good job in this movie. As for the ML this is my first time seeing him and I was not disappointed. He did a great job.
Music - was good. I liked it a lot as I do all CDramas and KDrama music.
Rewatch - It is a definite YES! I did like it. I recommend it.

Good Thriller Bordering Horror!
For those who wish to take a break from romance and long episode dramas, this movie is a really good production to sink your teeth into and be-fitting for international market consumption. The entire movie takes place in a quiet village town where a policeman suddenly have to deal with strange zombie like changes in some of the villagers. Scary but unperturbed at first dealing with such incidences, but the urgency took up ten notch when the illness starts to affect his own daughter. The pace and thriller picks up from then as he searches for an answer and the cure. The cast top notch and acceptable story line for those who enjoy watching thriller, with evil looming throughout the show and gory scenes thrown in.
Highly recommended.

My favourite korean movie ever
I watched it because of Kim Sungkyu, because he is my favourite actor. So i was a little nervous about the movie, because i don't watch a lot serial killer "theme" movies. But it worth it! It was amazing! I loved how Ma Dongseok acted the badass gangster, it was really his role! Kim Muyeol was amazing too! But Kim Sungkyu, woooah dudeee, such a talented young man, (I mean he is 35 soooo nvm) i think the reason why they casted Sungkyu for Kyung Ho's role was that they wanted a hot villain you know lmao :') Anyways i rewatched it for six times and i enjoyed it always. If you like serial killers, gangsters, action or crime i can recommend it!Was this review helpful to you?
Painted Skin: The Guo Jingming Edition

short and sweet (actually, it's bitter)
Disclaimer: I did not watch the original movie with chen kun and all that jazz, so this story is all new to me :DThe biggest advantage of this short film is that it's, well, short. I definitely don't think the actors could've carried the story in a full length movie or 30-40 ep drama. This isn't to say they aren't talented, the emotional scenes (*cough* the end *cough*) were extremely well executed and portrayed flawlessly by the actors! But the day to day scenes were a bit lacking and the chemistry just wasn't there. If I watched them for two hours, I feel like I would get bored.
But I didn't watch them for two hours, I watched them for thirty minutes. The best part about the film is that there aren't any excess fluff or unnecessary scenes. It gets straight to the point and only leaves the interesting stuff in, and since I had never heard of this story before, it was really, really interesting. Most of this rating probably comes from the end; it was striking and resonating and I definitely cried.
Ding chengxin as xiao wei really, really gave me the creeps-- which I guess meant he was doing it right. The atmosphere really helped; everything just felt creepy and demonic. I went from "sir you're really freaking me out" to "wow your life kind of sucks i'm sorry" in 31 minutes, which was a pretty big change. I think Ding Chengxin really portrayed Xiao Wei's change to being more human well. (I'm still not clear on who he's supposed to be in love with though lol)
Since the film is super short, I recommend giving it try. It's not much commitment and while it probably won't be the most amazing or your favorite thing ever, it's certainly captivating and will leave a lasting impression!

Story about Closure
Casting really great all of them are good actors no awkward sences or emotions/facial expressions that seem out of place. Zhang Zifeng and Deng Enxi are both really good young actresses that have a bright future ahead of them.Zhou Xin was the best actress in the show most likely due to all of the experience she has had. I felt exactly as she felt especially when Yin Chuan confronted her. Bian Tianyang and Hu Changlin were also both great actors both are young with a great future ahead.
Storyline
Each character had a different story arc that was each very unique to them.
Chenchen was a young boy who did not know how to cope with the loss of his mother and outwardly he seemed fine but inwardly he did not know how to express his emotions and ended up running away claiming he had no home to go to. While he was loved by his aunt and uncle he probably felt like an outcast who only was really able to interact with his grandma. He did not have a proper role model to look up to and as a result he did not know how to act his emotions.
Mumu was Chenchen's older sister and while she is a strong young lady she faced a lot of inward struggle. Her father abused her mother and her as well and when she finally gained the courage to run for help it was too late for her mother who feel into depression and ended up killing herself. All Mumu had to comfort her was her mothers old lovers letters to her who she believed would save her her brother and her mother. While he came too late meeting him gave her some closure and she was finally able to move on.
Saran(probably may favorite character) is Mumu's cousin and Zhihua's daughter who stayed with Mumu to help her through these rough times and they became each other's ride or die similar to their mothers. Saran was a sucker for love and didnt want to return home because she was scared of facing the boy that she liked but after hearings Zhinan's and Yin Chuan's story she decided she would not back down on love. She was a very youthful person that had a great interest in love and Zhang Zifeng played her very well.
Zhihua(my next favorite character at the very least her younger self) is an mature adult with a daughter but was never able to truly express herself the way her older sister was able to. She loved the guy that loved her sister and out of not knowing what to do did not deliver his love letters to her. I really admired how in the end she was able to confess to him even knowing that she would most likely be rejected. I did not really like how she pretended to be Zhinan but she probably wanted someone to vent to and was not able to find a release before talking to him.
Zhinan obviously is not in the movie as an adult but even if she killed herself she was a strong person. I just want to know exactly how she meet zhang chao and how did she fall for him(college prequel???
Yin Chuan a writer who was never able to move on from his first love and never wrote another story. After going to the reunion he thought it was funny how no one was able to notice that Zhihua was not really Zhinan and wanted to catch up with her. I do not really know why he didnt confront her sooner, but probably because he remembered that Zhihua dosen't take confrontion well. I am glad that he was able to move on and gain another idea for his next book.
I like how Zhihua and Yin Chuan never got together. Zhihua; though I do not like her husband, was married with no intentions to divorce him. Though she still acted like a school girl with a crush around him it did not seem like she loved him and overall that would've left a bad taste in our mouths since he was still in love with her dead sister.
Music
Overall not that memorable but i think anything more than what was in the movie might distract the viewers from the storyline.
I would probably rewatch this movie and would recommend people that like closure to watch this movie as well.

a must watch
you must watch it rn, don not hesitate just go and start watching, this movie describe the timeline of a guy that joins yakuza, and how the yakuza is fading out in the current days, but the main focus is on the relationships between yakuza family members, and the value of the family. it is very realistic so the ending was satisfying to me. this movie is one of those kind that going to fill your mind for days after watching it. there is enough dialog but at the same time it relied on acting to deliver what had to be said, and they delivered greatly, Ayano Go was brilliant i really was mesmerized by his facial expressions through the whole movie, the amount of emotions i felt is still with me right now as i am writing a day later.

THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES EVER!!!
From start to finish this movie was so interesting! It had a little bit of everything from fantasy/supernatural to action and romance.Story:
All I have to say is that this movie is definitely worth watching and I feel that everything was portrayed in such a way so that the ending has a massive impact on the watcher and for me it surely did! I can’t say much about the story as everything you need to know before you watch the movie has already been shown in the trailer and all you have to do is try your luck and give it a go. One thing is for sure - you will not be bored~
Acting/cast:
As always, Darren Wang delivered a splendid performance - I am seriously always in awe by this man’s acting! In fact, all the actors dod a very good job and executing their characters and the acting never seemed forced or cringey. The action scenes were delivered so well that I literally had myself edging over my sofa looking forward to what would happen next.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to watch an interesting action filled supernatural movie^•^

Messed-up ending
This showed so much promise but I feel robbed by the ending. No logic to how the film finished like that, leaving you flabbergasted by an ludicrous finish. Was the director getting bored with the film and just threw that ending in there !! Even the talented leads must of been frustrated wasting their time on this sadly. Jumping forward five years and suddenly he's marrying the other woman, shes suddenly got her act together and is driving a car . No lead up to this point, just a stupid reference to a whisky distillery in Scotland !!!
Where did all their money come from ?

Watch movie before the series
This movie technically came out before the series, please watch this first if you can.The game designs, characters, costumes and hair are all impressively beautiful.
The main couple are warm and natural, Cao Guang/Zhen Shui did a good job at being the "villain". As much as I like Li Xian, his character is too small to stand out, even though he's the hot headed friend of Xiao Nai.
The love story was very rushed. In-game they barely interacted, unless it is all off screen. They met twice and he embraces her and tells her about everything he's working on. Yet again, if there were more time they spent together the audience doesn't really know... and 3rd time they kiss. WHOA! Down boy! Calm down! Even if it's hot and dreamy.
COMPARING the movie to the series.
Glad they got Ryan Zheng to be Zhen Shui, who was great at being the villain. Zhen Shao Xiang's over all story was really good.
Cao Guang becoming his own character was also amazing, "evil" in his own way. His story is also cute.
KO in both movie and story are too different and both are good. Series version of KO does feel like he's more cool, but so awkward.
Weiwei and Xiao Nai movie version takes the cake. If these actor and actress were the series, it would have been perfect. I remember watching the series and thinking, story's good but the actress looks too angular. The couple is cold and distant. Although the series gave more background story and build their relationship. Most people like Yang Yang, but maybe he didn't really click Zheng Shuang and vice versa.
Obviously, the series had more time to develop the characters, story and bonding. Watching the movie after the series might be more satisfying and might not feel like Xiao Nai is going too fast with Wei wei.
