Dear God
Ok so legit I'm only here cause my subscription was about to expire and I didn't want to renew lmaoThis was the hottest mess of hot messes. I'm talking scattered and smothered! It's like off brand Twilight on acid and God knows what else. There was no chemistry, no story, no NOTHING! A whole hour? I skipped bits and pieces and I assure you I missed nothing. I'm not sure if they were new actors at this time or if the plot was just that s***y.
Wanna know the worst part? ...The only half decent guy had better eyeliner than me LMAO
Enjoy...(unlikely)

Silently Beautiful
This film has been on my radar for a while and I'm so glad I got to watch it.Ainu Mosir is a coming of age story, not just for the main character Kanto, but almost also for the people in the town.
We see the townspeople trying to balance between preserving their culture and getting by in modern Japan.
I really enjoyed the scenes with Kanto's mother in them.
I think she was a really good personification of this struggle for balance.
I want to especially point out the use of sound.
This was so beautifully done in my opinion.
I've marked this under music but it's isn't really music, but rather the background sounds you can hear.
There are quite a few scenes were you lean in (metaphorically and physically) to hear the tranquil sounds of nature.
It's beautiful, breathtaking, and also sometimes sad.
I thought this was a really nice way to contrast between the sounds we hear in the town; repetitive announcements that feel disruptive, but have been accepted as a part of everyday life.
While the story is about Ainu culture, I think many people will be able to relate with the idea of balancing different 'identities'.

How can you love someone when you don't even love yourself?
THIS. WAS. HILARIOUS!I have to say for all my halal babes that the first few scenes contain rather explicit and nude scenes. But keep in mind, it is not a porn movie.
For starters, I freaking love Ji-Sung here. Usually, in this type of storyline, you would expect the guy to be the 'bad guy that has a douchy attitude. But surprisingly, the writers definitely pulled Ji-Sung off to be this cute man (that I adore so much). I really love the female ML too as her character really is a breath of fresh air!
Overall, I love the message that this movie is trying to give to the audience. Always prioritize and love yourself first before anything else, in order to love someone else. Their P.S relationship might be funny and scandalous, but through that relationship and dynamic, both of the main characters found their true self and finally starting to let go of old memories. If you're hesitant to watch it, please don't. It's very entertaining and of course, has the happy ending it deserves.
P.s I wouldn't rewatch this because someone might walk in me watching a raunchy movie. Don't watch it in the living room kids ;)

The Missing Void in Life
Hsiao Chi does everything so quickly that she's always one step ahead of others. She works in the post office and a bus driver comes to post a letter every day. Hsiao Chi is turning thirty soon and longs for love. Finally, on the eve of Valentine's Day, a hot guy asks her out. But to her astonishment, she wakes up the next morning and finds that the Valentine's Day has mysteriously passed. This is an interesting concept, of the common yin-yang relationship story. However they put two characters who are not of different characters, but one who is living faster in time while the other is slower in time. So how did both of them managed to get align in time, to make this relationship work?
I like how they convey their visual creativity. They uses the window as a portal to show what she fantasises like a bubble thought. It also shows how in the 1980-1990s, we use to listen the favourite radio channel night host with call-in game shows. Putting in an imaginary character, Gecko, just like most houses we have house lizards who knew everything that is happening in your life as you grow up. Showcasing each memory like a photo image, on an old school Mattel's Viewmaster toy. The frozen in time sequence is also notable, and surreal. Most probably had to secure a large perimeter for that to be done. While the dog should be digitally added in later. It has become a beautiful art.
This is a worth to watch show, unpopular but there is real meaning and a twist to it. You might be bored on the first part, but do stay on till the end. It has drawn similar reference to Amélie. This is told in a two story manner, focusing on each person background individually. It showed the missing void that we all have, we all has always been looking for that special someone in life. Similar to how she always been missing stuffs, without that maybe she won't also visit her mother. Only to find out that there are also guardian angels around us, just like her secretive mother who has been liking up her every post that she posted. Liu Guanting's acting so far hasn't disappointed me. He has portrayed multiple roles and has proven versatile in his acting skills. It has also showed lots of great Taiwan locations, especially the Chiayi Oyster Farm.

A mother that wants to loose weight
I just watched this drama because of Jang Young Nam who usually play the role of villain... but this time she will portray the role of a mother <3This short film depicts about a beautiful mother who wants to loose weight but keeps on gaining weight. During motherhood, it is common for a mother to gain weight because of her hormones and the food she eats are the factors. The mother doesn't have self esteem and conscious of her weight. She gains weight because of her family such as getting the food on the floor so that it won't end up being wasted and left overs by her kids will be ended up consumed by her.
I really don't see anything fat about the mother because she is still pretty and being loved by her family. One must embrace body positivity! Jang Young Nam is a pretty mother and I don't see any flaws from her!
I love this short drama!

Amazing movie to watch easily again and again!!!
This is the second movie from Philippines I have ever seen and I loved it too! This movie dealt with some serious issues such as controlling parents and partners and life-threatening sickness but in a brilliant way. It was a simple and cute movie when I chose to watch it, but it was a great one after I finished it.The movie shows how important it is to live your life for yourself and not the life others want you to live, because you never know when the end will come. Many times people try to protect us by controlling us, but they forget that everyone learns through their mistakes, so it is allowed to make some. We should live life without regrets, so mistakes are in the plan too.
Female lead was confused about which path she should take, but in the end she found her answer. The weird thing is that, while she was trying to get rid of her unwanted marriage, she was planning her real wedding with the help of the unwanted husband. If you think about it, it is weird, but this made her live the experiences other brides would have with their husbands-to-be, that she otherwise wouldn't have, because her husband-to-be was away. These experiences made them come closer and helped her see what her future with this man would seem like. I liked the way she fought for her freedom of choice at the end.
I would totally recommend this movie to everyone. It is appropriate for all ages too.

world has got no justice
It took quite a while for me to be able to classify what "One Way Trip" actually wants to be and what its message is. To be precise i needed a good amount of patience, because only towards the end this becomes apparent.VERDICT _ you can lose interest in this movie pretty fast. But if you manage to hold on until the end you will be rewarded with an exceptionally dark tone which leaves no doubt that the film could have turned out a lot better. Still, for its dark tone the drama deserves some praise....POOR SUHO
P. S I can't believe they made an entire movie just for Ji soo to cry in

"Dis game of truth is FUN - Its thrilling like catching a serial killer"
So glad it turned out 2 be a must watch film. It shows the reality of life & how honesty is really an important factor in any relationship. I was hoping the ending wasn't like that because I want 2 see de aftermath of de chaos transpire & yes I was mad because of all of de lies but looking back, I guess the ending was fitting.Sometimes the mockery is gentle, other times farcical, and other times it feels like the universe is playing a horrific joke that only seems funny to us because we know the situation isn't as bad as it looks.
VERDICT _ Human nature is like an eclipse. You can hide it but it'll get revealed.

"Vengeance Brings the Dead to Life"
Ok, so wat exactly do we hve here. A mystery thriller? A horror movie? Or ultimately a movie abt self-sacrificing mothers? Well, all at once 2 b exact. Such a genre mix is in strong demand of sensitivity in order 2 work out.Wat's interesting is de way de resurrected r portrayed here. A mix of zombies, ghosts, but @no time killing randomly, but acting with a purpose, namely taking revenge on their killers. Yet, there isn't made much use of those beings.
VERDICT_ To get to the bottom of the case can be quite thrilling at times, but apart from the mother the characters turn out to be shallow. All in all this movie is an uneven genre mix without knowing where it is heading.

"You're doing the right thing, keep doing it"
SYNOPSIS _Go Gi-hwan is the actor who was starred in a large number of short films. However, he couldn’t get any dvd from the directors. He’s decided to collect his dvds meeting the directors who he used to work with, and he faces the fact that he couldn’t have known…VERDICT _Dat's a good independent film. For me, the best scene was when he lost his bag , and the recovered paper bag was mixed with garbage in the room. A climax scene that shows the reality in which the joys and sorrows of the past have plummeted to the bottom. Do you hear everything about human life in the film? The message given by the work lasts.

Your first love does not have to be your first-ever love!
I completely enjoyed this movie starring Gong Yoo and Im Soo Jung! The one thing that I got from watching this movie is that no matter how many years it will take, you will meet your perfect match if it is meant to be. Don't be too fixated on your first love, as you will never know what the future holds for you.
I must say that some parts of the story confused me (either I was not paying attention or just dumb lol) but the plot is simple yet entertaining. Gong Yoo's acting was so good as he portrays this goofy, nerdy, and clumsy man that is different from other roles he played in the movies/dramas I've watched. And of course, there are some swoon-worthy moments between the two main actors that just make your heart warm.
As for the cinematography, the director really captured India well in this movie as they focused on the beauty and gems of India. I also loved the theatre performance!
Overall, this movie is worth watching as it is not too heavy or too cringey, but just nice to watch if you're in the mood for a light movie to watch on a nice day.

The dances are AMAZING :O
Dance flicks have always had a special place in my heart and this movie is no exception! Ofcourse, the movie has a touching storyline, the acting isn't bad at all and the good music also didn't hurt, BUT THE DANCING THOUGH. One of the greatest things about dancey-type movies is that they always make me wish I could dance... it's just so mesmerizing. All the dancing was top-notch and I was thoroughly impressed by Wallace Chung's dancing skills especially. I mean, I heard through the grapevine that dancing was one of the many talents Wallace was really good at and he lives up to the hype let me tell you lol. And just like other dance movies, besides great dancing there's always some dark/ serious undertones sprinkled into the story to promote character "growth" so be prepared for that. The big thing I found remarkably refreshing this film did differently though was that romance took a backseat to the "growth" and although I'm sure that probably turned some people off, I still found it quite empowering & in good taste. Overall, "Duel for Love" is your classic dance film with all the qualifications bound to satisfy that dance craving you've had lately. xxWas this review helpful to you?

just another bad love story
I thought we left these harmful tropes in 2005, but I guess not.from the very beginning, the male lead stalks and pushes the female lead to do what he wants her to do. he is in a position of power, while she is her fathers caretaker and in debt and has literally no other options. not to mention that their personalities are basically caricatures- he's a violent loudmouth with a heart of gold, and she's a tsundere in a poor position that needs help- im not sure what they even like about each other besides their looks. (I mean, he became obsessed with her after seeing her once so). she has practically no lines, but we watch her expressions soften as she realizes he has a heart of gold, or whatever.
if I was her, id be terrified that someone else's debt was pushed on me, and even moreso when the debt collector stalks me and makes me hang out with him.
it was a cute love story I guess, if you ignore the reality women go through of being stalked and murdered by men. its time to stop portraying outdated tropes of "violent male leads with kind hearts using horrible tactics to coerce women into being with them" as "goals".
to make matters worse, when she has a chance at a new life she goes back to ML. even after his death, she has to be a caretaker AGAIN to his sick father. this girl cannot get a break.

(Sadly enough) based on a true story
I watched "Nobody Knows" the first time in 2013 as part of my Japanese course. Back then, I thought it was a very slow film, and it was thus hard for me to really get into it. But a lot of it stuck with me for reasons that will become obvious when you watch it. So years later, I watched it again and gained a true appreciation for the film. "Appreciation" sounds strange given the real-life event that the film is based on, but it's the closest I can get. It's been said in other reviews, but this isn't a happy film or a happy story. But my god does it open your eyes to what actually happens around the world, even if it's rare in comparison to other horrifying things we read about on the daily. Reading about the Sugamo child abandonment case after watching "Nobody Knows" just made me a hundred times more depressed about the whole thing. It's just unfathomable that such a thing can happen, that it DOES happen probably more often than we think. The actors are mere children but they play their roles so well, especially Yagira Yuuya who played the role of Akira but also You (the actress, haha) who portrayed the children's mother, Keiko. It became really easy to despise her in the film and I think that's a sign of good acting. Because if I hadn't felt that strongly about her character, her acting wouldn't have been good enough. But it is. The cinematography in this film is absolutely stunning; it successfully captures the mood in scenes where it matters the most, and while the lack of music at times makes the film feel a little bit flat, the cinematography, acting, and overall story helps bring the score up regardless. Even so, I have to say that, at the end when the credits song started playing, I burst into tears that second time I watched through "Nobody Knows" again. It felt like the whole film was a build-up to that moment, which in some ways it was, but the way the music was brought in when it was really drove the point home.
Despite my first impression not being a good one, my second one was wildly different, and thus "Nobody Knows" is one of those films I will probably never forget.
