A very beautiful story, but also a very sad one

If the memories of your youth suddenly become painful because you've lost someone, I think that would be a turning point that changes your life forever. For the protagonist, she experiences the loss of her first love who also a very special friend.

The years that follow are both a journey of healing and an attempt to pursue what can be done differently. And through that sunlit youth and endless summer, the memory of one person remains.

This drama is beautiful, yet deeply heartbreaking. When a student chooses to give up on their future, they may never know that life could have become a little better, even if only by a small amount. Some choices leave behind a lifelong sense of regret for the people who love them. Even so, I understand that choice. More than anything, it reminds me that sometimes we need to reach out, to share our pain, and to let others reach us when we need help. Things can become better in the end.

The school romance in this drama is incredibly sweet as well.

Definitely give it a watch!

I don't where it went wrong

This drama started off really strong and had an interesting premise that kept me hooked in the beginning. Unfortunately, it gradually lost its charm as the story progressed.

My biggest issue was the lead couple. Their relationship became increasingly toxic, with the same misunderstandings and arguments happening over and over again. The male lead never seemed to fully trust the female lead, which made it difficult to root for their relationship. I also never felt much chemistry between them, so instead of feeling invested, I found myself getting frustrated whenever they were on screen.

The female lead's character was another disappointment for me. Her personality in the 21st century felt completely different from who she was in Joseon, almost as if they were two separate characters. The inconsistency made it hard to connect with her journey and character development.

The pacing was also frustrating. The villain was clearly behind almost everything from early on, yet the story waited until around episode 14 to finally expose him. Despite having enough reasons to suspect him, the characters kept allowing him to manipulate situations without taking meaningful action, which became increasingly unrealistic.

What started as a funny and entertaining drama slowly lost its humor and momentum. The male lead became exhausting to watch, the female lead was often over the top, and the romance never really clicked for me.

Ironically, this is one of the few dramas where I found the supporting cast far more interesting than the main couple. Their stories, personalities, and interactions were often more enjoyable and engaging than the romance the drama was trying so hard to sell.

Overall, the plot had a lot of potential and some genuinely good ideas, but the weak chemistry, repetitive conflicts, character inconsistencies, and delayed payoff made it a frustrating watch. The supporting cast ended up carrying much of the entertainment value for me.

Cute but awkward

So Ao Haru Ride is one of my favorite mangas and I was really excited for this one after watching a super cute FMV on YouTube (link here if anyone wants to watch it: https://youtu.be/uqdrmW9-g_8), but I think the music video turned out to be a little better than the actual movie, just because a lot of awkward line delivery wasn't noticeable.

That's the first thing that stands out about the film — it very clearly feels like a manga adaptation and like most of those, the exaggeration really doesn't work too well. The lead characters clearly have chemistry but some of the dialogue really hampers that.

I know it's hard cutting such a long story into 1.5 hours and they definitely did the best they could with it, but it still comes at the cost. The friend group doesn't feel as tight, side characters are less layered, and some of the story beats feel a bit choppy, with a few iconic scenes being cut. It's ultimately fine because I'd rather have more focus on the leads and the romance though, but it makes the stakes feel a little lower.

Romance-wise, I think this did an okay job; I'm more forgiving of Kou than a lot of people seem to be, and this was no different. I found his struggles very relatable, though I'm not sure it would come across as strongly to someone who came in without any prior knowledge of the story.

Got me hook even jusy watch ep1

The best series of the year no doubt ,ep 1 already makes my eyes swollen. Im team Neen . She not just mentally hurts but also get abused physically by her evil mother in law. Runch stress so does Neen, while Neen's mom treat Runch like her own daughter.not fair! Runch could not even side of her wife when she know what her mother did to her wife. If that evil mother treat Neen good ,Neen surely not fight with that mak lampir.

Light and Tangy Series

I dig the concept because it's a mix of a few concepts

1. Solo Leveling the Anime so the main protagonist has quest/events/experience to gain
2. Food Wars (Shokugeki no Soma) which basically about cooking and their clothes blowing up in ecstasy over the food

It's very light so nothing drama heavy or edge of the seat type of business.

I didn't find anything like hilarious but it was a good light heart watch so I can't really complain all to much. I think the acting however I felt the main protagonist acting zoned out should have been something deeper but in some scenes he became too human.

There's like a little sprinkle of love so if you're into lovey dovey stuff this ain't it. It's got a lot more focus on cooking than most other shows to be frank.

I actually want to see how season 2 turns out because season 1 was a delightful watch and I'm usually pretty picky.

Comfort series

Fulfill may not be a perfect series, but it became one of the most memorable GLs for me. What I loved most was how it focused on life after falling in love—showing the realities of marriage, family, communication, and growing together through challenges.

Oom and Bam were the heart of the series. Their chemistry felt natural, comforting, and genuine, making Aioon and Pafun feel like a real couple rather than just characters on screen. Their performances brought so much warmth, humor, and emotion that it was easy to laugh, cry, and root for them every week.

Thank you, Fulfill, for giving us a beautiful story and thank you, Oom and Bam, for bringing these characters to life so wonderfully. This may be the end of Fulfill, but I hope it’s only the beginning of an even bigger journey for OomBam.

Comedy Duo Movie with an Extreme Job Persona

This is the ideal rom-com, where it actually focuses a lot more on the comedy given the nature of the plot, but I think it excutes very well with the villian and how they play his character out. As I was watching, this, you really can see the actors/actresses shine, especially the main duo as they did in Extreme Job. I love how they really had stakes but you know due to the nature of the movie, that nothing was very tense, so it played really well for comedic purposes. Jin Seok-hyu really outshone himself, I think he really moved on to become a Rom-Com actor as the disgrunted figure with a sweet heart, and he really embraces that. Na In Woo does the same with his youthness, and his clumniess that we lowkey saw in past films/dramas and even in 2D1N. The actresses all did very well, wasn't expecting Kang Hanna and Jeon Seonmin in this but they both played their parts very well, even with limited screen time. Overall, a perfect good rom-com, good to watch with a light heart if you don't want to devote everything to feel the characters.

Spicy + Heart-Warming= A Great

The combo of chemistry and sweet heartwarming chemistry between the leads makes for a wonderful show. I appreciated the trio staying together despite the two of them dating and her support for her two friends. There was definitely a gaping hole missing for her storyline.
Although the plot/storyline felt vastly underdeveloped what was shown was done very well. I've already written three more seasons in my head that properly incorporates the rest of the characters. I do wonder what the dad thought of his son's relationship and I totally saw the other set of parents catch on much earlier in their relationship. Still, I think it's hilarious the parents knew about their relationship before they did.
This was a great intro to Taiwanese TV!

review.

this drama was a masterpiece. it's been while I haven't watched anything like that since Mouse. Mouse was a masterpiece and this drama reminded me of it. i don't wanna talk about it in detail to avoid any spoilers. Just watch it.

I loved the actors, the plot and the way every scene was captured with precision.

I love psychological dramas and it literally fulfilled the hunger inside me....for awhile.

and I love antagonist acting, I watched his dramam phantom lawyer. he is an incredible actor.

A good start for a cringey ending

The ending was so exaggerated and dramatic. I really enjoyed this drama at first because it was lighthearted, funny, and very easy to watch, but the final episodes went completely over the top for me. The last episode felt especially dragged out because of all the unnecessary drama. It also made me realize that reincarnation plots just aren’t my favorite genre. Another thing that bothered me was that they never properly explained what happened to the other Seo-ri. Still, the cast was fantastic and did a great job throughout the series.

MAJOR SPOILER BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST WRITTEN PERIOD DRAMA

OST: 8/10
Very pleasant to listen to and fits the mood of the drama well.

Cinematography: 7/10
Nothing particularly outstanding. Some of the editing felt a little dated and occasionally resembled a soap opera, which took me out of certain scenes.

Storyline: 10/10
This is where the drama truly shines. The story is well-written, well-paced, and carefully structured. Every plot point unfolds naturally without feeling overwhelming or unnecessarily complicated. The progression feels smooth and easy to follow.

Romance: 60%
Comedy: 10%
Friendship: 10%
Family Feud & Revenge: 20%

If I loved Pursuit of Jade because of Fan Changyu's bold and strong personality, then I loved Qiao Manman even more. She doesn't need to step onto the battlefield to protect her family and husband. Instead, her strength lies in her intelligence, wit, sharp tongue, and strategic thinking. She possesses a kind of soft power that allows her to win people over, especially her family.

While Fan Changyu's boldness eventually became somewhat repetitive in the later part of Pursuit of Jade, Qiao Manman remained consistently engaging throughout the entire drama. Her character development felt stable and well-maintained from beginning to end.

One thing I particularly appreciated was how balanced the episodes were. Even the final episode didn't feel like a filler, which is something many dramas struggle with. However, I do wish the ending had provided more closure and given the main couple a little more screen time.

I was also left wondering about the fate of the other regions, especially Yanzhou. The story focused heavily on Wei State, but by the end, it never clearly explained who eventually ruled Yanzhou. It felt like an unanswered question that was simply left open.

What I loved most about this drama was the romance development. The relationship progressed naturally and convincingly, while the comedic moments helped lighten the mood and prevent the story from becoming too heavy. Although there were war elements, the war arc never dragged on for too long, which I appreciated. Excessive war-focused storylines often become repetitive and slow down the overall narrative.

Another highlight was the canal development project, which served as the central plot throughout the drama. It was introduced and developed consistently across the episodes, making it feel important rather than just a background element. The story was well-arranged and coherent, although I would say it was a fairly straightforward drama without any major plot twists.

My biggest criticism would be the editing. The production could have done a much better job in certain scenes. Some effects felt overly dramatic and gave off a soap-opera vibe. There were also moments where the stunt doubles were noticeably visible. While they looked similar to the actors, it was still obvious enough to break the immersion.

Overall: 9.5/10

Despite a few production flaws, the excellent storytelling, strong character writing, balanced pacing, and satisfying romance made this one of the most enjoyable dramas I have watched this year.

I bet it’s a series you shouldn’t miss to watch ?‍↕️

I’m already hooked with this series just by Episode 1. The pace of the series is quite fast but it is so good.

The scenes can point out the intensity of the conflict between Kingkakol and Neen, the different perspectives of Runch, Neen and Kingkamol to the issues and the opposite dynamic of two families who decode the conditions differently just in ONE EPISODE.

It is really brilliant that they prepared details like Neen confusing and changing pronouns of Runch time to time like from “You” to “Phi” during arguments because she is acting distant yet endearment is still there, and also the outfits and the accessories especially during their first meet showing the social class differences and the personality differences.

What I can’t stop talking about is their acting. Not only Ling, Orm and P Kik, all the characters are fitted perfectly into the series, portrayed their roles very well and delivered what the audience should get from them exactly. The characters Runch and Neen themselves is moving in different speeds like Ling and Orm so no wonder why they acted so well both individual and duel.

The Episode 1 is really good in all aspects script, dialogue, editing, cinematography and the chemistry between them. Worth watching and rewatching again and again.

Don’t dismiss the opportunity to dig the treasure when you’ve already handed a map into your hand 🫶🏻
