Why is no one talking about the weird ghost satlket siatuation???

Let me start with that. This ghost who has been wandering this planet for a hundred years (87) when he first meets the the FL WHO IS THIRTEEN!!! 13!!! A CHILD who he lets be put in harms way! And practally isolates her from other friends by harming them when they talk to her like bsfr!! Massive ick right there. Also the story felt draggy at thimes like whyyyy are we doing this? The whole left minister plotline could have been over by the 10th episode. Then the whole time the FL is either too late to save anything or the men play the night in shining armour! I understand that taking down a ghost who is literally the size of an entire fucking village needs teamwork, but the FL who is a baddass shaman/ghost tamer is not ONCE the centre of action? she just mostly just predicts things/tells people how to do things.

Now the saving grace of the series: The king and his whole arc! How he went from not beliving in shamanism to understanding the bloodbath of his throne and everything that happend that put him there. How he greived the original yungap and and how he geneuinely cares for the populus. And the kid who played the crown prince was geneuinely cute. The dynamic between him and the Queen (Hated this arc cause this again felt repedative) just a great character. I also liked the way the actor who played him executed the character.

This shouldve been 12 episodes and no romance! skipped through that honest none of them are compatible.

What happens if you are given a second chance at life?

I loved the concept of the ML getting a second chance AND retaining all his memories. Some have said that by doing that it took out any drama. I don't agree. For me, the intrigue came by his thoughts and showing how he was going to manipulate what was supposed to happen. We were given the ML's voice over, explaining what had happened in the future. This whole thing reminded me of a game of chess - the strategy, the attack/counterattack.

The acting was excellent. Ji Sung never disappoints (Why did they spell his name Ji Seong in the credits?). The rest of the cast, as well. I love the actors that played his parents, they were so comforting to watch.

What stood out most to me was the concept of "found family". He finally appreciates his parents. He reconnects with a friend that he lost in his old life. He got to know the prosecutors and the reporter. When that group was together, they were the Scooby Gang! However, once they became friends, I spend the rest of the drama hoping that one of them wouldn't get killed off. I was especially drawn to his old friend. He works in gray areas but has a heart of gold. He and the ML taking the teenager under their wings and employing her and keeping her safe was a joy to watch. I was sad to see the outcome with wife, especially since they spent so much time leading us to believe that their story could change.

The only reason I didn't rate it higher was due to the plethora of bad guys. If he was a middle-aged man in a suit, he was a bad guy. It was so hard to keep the names and faces straight.

Good acting and chemistry but flawed script and continuity

I'm gonna preface by saying I really enjoyed watching this series. I really liked the main actors, their chemistry and romance.
My biggest gripe with this series is the script... I'm guessing due to the time constraints of having a 12 episodes 25 minutes runtime. Way too short for the whole story/plot. The script plot was sometimes nonsensical, defied logic and left a lot to be guessed on our own. They're filming a reality tv show with no cameras/drones around? The whole fish thing was weird and I didn't really understand what happened...Lots of parts were too rushed and cut weirdly. What saved this for me were the main actors and me really liking their chemistry and characters/story, despite the flaws I mentioned before,I still really recommend it!

Not a fluffy romance but fucking great

If we see japanese bl then don't much focus on romance. They slowly developed the character and make them. Understand each other and make them fall in love. Tbh i was so angry when i was their communication effort. Neither of them are sharing what they are feeling especially about their feeling for each other. Japanese bl is very underrated and i know japanese bl doesn't get the hype it deserves. Not everybody can love this kind of intense gay love story coz these people are obsessed with NC scene, toxicity and unnecessary drama. If u see to my shore, abo desire, bed friend, 2togethor, my stand in, big dragon, unforgotten night, top form, my stubborn and list goes are very popular but their story literally sucks. But story of j-bl are always top tier but it doesn't get the hyped like u should get. I am not talking about bl only even straight series are less popular in comparison to korean and chinese. Idk why, maybe they care about releasing j-bl in international OTT platform like Netflix, Disney, HBO, peacock. They don't even release promo in YouTube. I wish they will do more marketing so j-bl deserve hype. Maybe people doesn't care about those series where lead pair doesn't do queerbaiting fan service. If we see except japam every country are focusing on queerbaiting. Even Heated Rivalry cast are queerbaiting. Obviously i hate fan service, especially those straight mfs. Anyway if story is good then they should deserve the popularity. I really liked this series intense story, understanding and supporting each other, great acting. My obsession with good story in bl series fucking intense. Whoever enjoy watching j-bl series lets make jbl famous as fuck.

What kind of show is this?

Okay, this is the first time in my life I’ve watched a variety show about psychics competing against each other. The idea is honestly fascinating. The cases and challenges in each episode are clever and very interesting. They bring together tarot readers, shamans, saju readers, and different kinds of fortune-tellers, then make them compete to see who is the most accurate. It’s a pretty crazy concept.

This show might actually be interesting for people who don’t believe in fortune-telling or the supernatural. At the same time, it doesn’t feel like the show is trying to force you to believe in those things (at least not for me). So what is the hidden message of the show? Is it trying to prove that psychics are real, or that they are fake? Anyway, I’ll stop overthinking that part.

There were a few things that bothered me while watching. Sometimes the judges’ reactions to the contestants’ predictions felt a bit exaggerated. Not only when they heard the readings, but also during moments like tied votes. At times it felt a little too dramatic. There were also moments that seemed to “sell sadness,” which reminded me of some TV shows in my country.
For example, there was one part where I felt really emotional and even cried while listening to one contestant’s story. The contestant’s tears felt very genuine, and it moved me enough to make me cry too. But when the scene suddenly cut to the judges, I stopped crying because their reactions looked a bit forced 😭 (just my personal opinion 🌷).

Another thing I noticed is that some scenes felt cut or edited out. I won’t go into detail, but maybe it was because of time limitations. There were many predictions that weren’t shown on screen. I understand that this might be to protect people’s privacy, but it was still a bit frustrating. It also felt like some contestants didn’t get enough screen time while others appeared much more often.
Well, things like that are quite common in Korean variety shows, so I’m not really surprised.
Aside from that, the show is good. The set design is amazing, the shamans’ costumes are impressive, and the background music sometimes gave me chills. Even the ritual in the final round looked like it was performed very seriously.

You should try watching The Battle of Fate. It’s definitely an entertaining show.

Complete Rubbish

If we had contenders for Korean drams and movies that couldn't be accepted or remade today this would be at the top of the list. The fact it holds a 7.5 currently on mydramalist is very concerning. When i first watched this i was 15 years old i rated it a 10 out of 10, 4 years later when i actually developed and formed intellectual sense i change it to a 1 out of 10. The movies entire premise is a girl who gets into anrranged marriage with a 23 year old man at 16. Lol currently I'm 19 and i wouldn't even date a 16 year old not to talk of marriage no matter the scenario. This movies rating is the reason why we have laws banning child marriage because people see this and confuse it for a romance they think it's sweet but it's actually very concerning.

When fantasy starts feeling too real

I really loved the concept of this drama. The idea of being able to “subscribe” to a boyfriend is playful, but the story uses it to explore loneliness and the desire to be truly seen by someone. What I found most interesting was how the line between the game and reality slowly started to blur, sometimes even making me feel a bit anxious. The exaggerated characters inside the “game” world actually worked well because they emphasized how artificial everything was, highlighting the contrast with the real emotions developing outside of it.
I also really enjoyed the romance between the leads, their relationship was built gradually through small moments and growing trust, which made their connection feel natural and sincere. Another thing I liked were the cameos of the different “boyfriends”: most of them were really well chosen and added fun little moments to the story, even if a couple didn’t work as well for me. In the end, what could have been just a quirky concept turned into a surprisingly heartfelt and engaging watch.

familiar story, different world

Going into this drama, I already knew it was another remake, and unfortunately that feeling never really left while watching it. The idea of lovers connected across parallel worlds still has a lot of emotional potential, but this version didn’t manage to add enough new depth to make the story feel truly fresh. There are still some sweet moments between the leads, and the concept itself remains interesting, especially when the story plays with the idea of fate repeating itself in different timelines. However, I often found myself comparing it to previous versions, which made the emotional impact feel weaker. It’s not a bad drama and it can still be an enjoyable watch if you like this kind of story, but overall it felt more familiar than memorable.

Sometimes the truth is uncovered… but accountability never comes.

What stayed with me the most after finishing Unveil: Jadewind is how quietly powerful it is. Beneath the stunning Tang Dynasty visuals — the intricate costumes, elegant sets, and beautiful cinematography — there’s a story that feels sharp, thoughtful, and surprisingly heavy.

At first glance it may look like a typical revenge story: a woman whose family was massacred seeking justice. But instead of following a straightforward vengeance path, the drama unfolds through a series of cases investigated by the leads. Each case reveals darker truths about the society around them — how women are manipulated, how the powerful protect themselves, and how justice often depends on who holds authority. Sometimes the truth is uncovered… but accountability never comes. That realism is frustrating, but it also makes the story feel meaningful and relevant.

What I loved most is how strongly female-centered the drama is. Women drive the narrative, solve the cases, and support each other while navigating a system that constantly tries to silence them. Bai Lu was fantastic here. Her performance is controlled and layered — she doesn’t rely on exaggerated emotions, but instead delivers strength, intelligence, and vulnerability in a very subtle way. Her character is sharp, skilled in martial arts and medicine, and always one step ahead, yet still deeply human.
The male lead complements her well. He’s observant, calm, and intelligent — more of a supportive partner than a dominating hero. Their relationship is a slow burn built on mutual respect and shared purpose rather than dramatic romance, which felt refreshing.

The cases themselves can be emotionally draining in the best way. Some stories left me angry, others heartbroken, and a few genuinely shocked by the twists. At times I even needed a break between arcs because of how heavy the themes were.
Visually, the drama is gorgeous from beginning to end. The production design, fight choreography, and overall atmosphere give it a very polished, cinematic feel.
Overall, Unveil: Jadewind is elegant, dark, and thought-provoking — a female-centric historical mystery that doesn’t shy away from uncomfortable truths. It’s not a loud drama, but it leaves a lasting impression.

For me, it’s a solid 9/10.

My god, My mum once showed me a clip of a drama she was watching, she found it to be very funny and I put that show in my watch later list on YT then totally forgot about it.

I came across this drama by chance, now that I know who the ML is, back then I didn't know any vertical drama actors, and I found that scene here xD.

It was the scene after their first night and I now understand why she liked it lol CTK has no business being this adorable xD and tbh out of all the actors I come across he is probably one of the least likely to act shy and innocent xD somehow funny too ~

But hats off to the FL that I don't know yet sadly, for being this funny, she literally carried the whole show because the story was so slow tbh and I generally wasn't a fan, but the two leads deserve praise ~

Human or AI?

I seriously don’t understand how this drama got such a low rating! I absolutely loved it!!!! From beginning to end, there was not a single boring or annoying scene! I was trying to think of some flaws but couldn’t come up with any 😂😂😂

First of all, the obvious reasons I liked this drama were the cast. Most of these actors were new to me except for Choi Siwon, Lee Soohyuk, Jay Park and Yoo Inna! And I absolutely LOVED these cameos!!!! First of all, I just recently had watches Tomorrow and absolutely fell in love with Lee Soohyuk! Especially his voice! So I loved it how they used his voice in the commercials for the Boyfriend on Demand game 😂😂😂 And seeing him as a romantic character was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!
And Choi Siwon ofc was AMAZING!!!! He was one of the first Kdrama actors I got to know thanks to his role in Revolutionary Love which was one of the first Kdramas I watched so I have a soft spot for him 😂😂😂And the fact he was the Webtoon artist’s lover was soooooo good!!!! I LOVED it!!!!
Then ofc Yoo Inna whom I have discovered in Goblin as Sunny last year and fell in love with was also amazing in her role as the guide in the game 😂😂😂
Jay Park’s role was kinda short but it was funny that he played himself 😂😂😂

There were some other familiar faces like the CEO of the company whom we all know from other dramas! This man can literally play any role from villain to loving dad.
Then we had a former Physical 100 comtestant, Tarzan who played the Single’s Inferno date aka the fake Dex 😂😂😂
And ofc Ko Kyu-Pil who was always another character in the games and literally all his characters were hilarious but him as a bartender doing yoga cracked me up the most 😂😂😂


Then next, our main leads, Jisoo from Blackpink and Seo Inguk! I have never seen any dramas these two were in so I was excited to see them act together in this drama and I loved both of their acting skills. Jisoo was super funny! I love her talking voice and her facial expressions were really cute! I really think she is even more talented as an actress than a singer! 😂😂😂Seo Inguk was super cute too!!! I loved his nerdy and emotionally distant character but then how he slowly changed thanks to her. His rare smile MELTED my heart and the kiss scenes were super swoony!!!! 😍😍😍

Other new and amazing actors I discovered after this drama:
- Seo Kang-Joon: Omg his eyes were out of this world!!! He seems to be a new actor as I have never heard anything about him so I will try to check out his other dramas soon.
- Lee Jae-wook: JUST WOW!!!! I am literally blown away by this man’s charisma! AND HIS LIPS!!!! Omg now I get all the hype around him!!! My next mission is to watch a drama with him as a male lead! Can’t believe I have never seen him in anything…

Next one up is the plot:
For a romcom, the plot was fun, consistent, unique, and relatable. I also loved how everything was wrapped up in the end smoothly. The themes and topics fit very well into the plot and the characters all did their job.
Also I loved it how this drama got along so well without any major tropes like dramatic hospital scenes, car accidenta or the mid-way break-up. And if tropes were used, they mostly happened in the game as something so absurd and over the top. I loved how the drama played with it clearly stating that such tropes are not reality and only exist in the fantasy of women but also showing that there is nothing wrong about liking tropes.

And while we are at it, the themes are next. I think this drama did such a great job at pointing out the most relatable themes that are interferring with the lives of young adults right now: Dating and AI:

1. Dating difficulties:
This is not just a struggle in Korea but something that many people around the world struggle with. Whether it is about lack of time due to work, financial issues, or incompatibility between many young men and women due to the difference of expectations, it showed it really well. And the Boyfriend on Demand game worked its wonders. The first few episodes the game was presented in such an amazing way that it was impossible for me to imagine how the main female lead would get out of this amazing world!!! Like, there is no way the real world and real dating would be as exciting as this game!!! And thats also when I realized why women love watching K-Dramas so much: this game basically was the equivalence of K-Dramas: unrealistic expectations of love and dating and unrealistic men who do anything for the women. And again, I loved how this drama does not portray these expectations that women have on men as something negative but as something men should strive for. The fact that the othet female characters in this drama also were using the game and how it benefitted their lives (the writer used it as inspiration for her new webtoon and the bestie used it to get over her ex, live out her fantasies without hurting anyone and even getting famous on social media with her advice). At the same time it gave hope to all single women that their ideal partner might be around the corner or someone we least expected to be in love with us.

2. AI vs. Human:
First, the drama introduces to us the benefits of AI and technology and how they can easily replace humans and even offer a better version of humans altogether. As dating gets more and more difficult these days, AI could offer benefits for young people seeking true love and being able to feel emotions again. It reminded me a lot of the movie Her. But this was actually BETTER!!!!! Not only because of the fact that it was more fun but also because of the ending or the fina statement it gave: Even if AI can replace many things and make many things easier and more convenient, it will never be able to replace one thing: Humanity. Human touch, real feelings and love. These are all reserved for humans only. I loved how this drama does not condemn AI or technology all together as they can offer benefits as well but I also loved how it emphasized the importance of real human interaction.

3. Change:
This was not as big of a theme as the other two but it was of importance in Jisoo’s past and current relationships. She was afraid of changing as it could lead to break-ups so she viewed change as something negative, thus got addicted to the game even more as the feelings of the boyfriends would never change and she could always live happily in a never-changing relationship with them. But then, with Seo Inguk’s character we see that change is not always bad and it can also lead to something beautiful like the way his character changed after he fell in love with her and tried to change himself in order to get closer to her.

4. Feminism:
This was also a rather small theme but we saw this in Mi-rae’s bestie and how she played the game as a femme fatale seducing all the boyfriends instead of getting seduced by them. And her motives for using the game were merely just in order to avoid being judged as an easy woman as society always expects women to be demure and loyal to one man. This part of the story was truly entertaining! At first I actually didn’t like the bestie but she turned out to be such a fun character and I was rooting for her in the end!

These are all the things I loved the most about this drama! I am sure if I think about it more, I can probably think of more points! A literal 10/10 drama!!! Well done everyone!!!
