Pretty standard.
Watched opening morning 2026/02/13, 9:30am.While a pleasant enough watch, there is nothing particularly stand-out about this film in any direction. The strongest part of the film for me would be the action scene choreography, but considering the fighting, there should have been a bit more than what they did fx makeup wise.
Lots of familiar faces here, and that’s probably the main appeal. It’s nice, but not particularly dark, romantic, or full of character growth. Trying to categorise it I’d probably go with Drama/Romance/Action.
There wasn’t particularly anything unexpected or otherwise deviant of what you’d expect with this kind of story. It’s sweet, it has action and drama, and a little bit of romance. I haven’t read the manga, but it’s storytelling similar to several Japanese live-action dramas I’ve seen.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend this - rather than that, I would say that if you are a fan of the cast, manga, or want some filler, that this is a good option. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t bad, it’s just not doing anything particularly new, refreshing, or exciting in my opinion.
I imagine the manga is largely a cozy read and am tempted to check it out afterwards though.

FL was quite most annoying person for transmigrated drama
I watched this yesterday since i liked recent Li You Lin and Jin Lu Ying collaboration and watch this drama. Both lead acting are decent especially Li You Lin ; he can transformed from cruel villain to clueless lovefool. I quite like puppy in this drama too bad his screentime was only for first part of drama. The plot is about FL who transmigrated into the ML's era as his first wife who died earlier while she reading history article about him-corrupt and cruel politician.ML was chooses to buried with his first wife. She is basically lackluster in modern era so she didn't develop everything like other transmigrated FL in other dramas. The first half FL just following her knowledge on her history article so she just want to divorce ML like ML promised when they married. ML already begun to fall for her. ML true feelings are revealed when she risks her life to shield him. FL just wants to prevent him from becoming corrupted and killing fewer people, but he ends up falling for FL and not wanting a divorce anymore
The supporting characters are also well-developed; the eldest sister-in-law and Lord Lu both have their moments.
The second half was frustrating, highlighting a man who's tight-lipped and a woman who lacks boundaries. ML and FL almost never fully trusted each other. I even suspected at one point that the FL loved Lord Lu even Lord Lu was quite confused or simple term FL is Lord Lu hardcore fans, I quite understand most of viewer frustrated with FL and i first didn't understand why ML want to be buried by his first wife but i need the explanation of FL first life as first wife.
I quite how the kisses was elevated from the first until the last one the romance chemistry between Li You Lin and Jin Lu Ying was quite good.
Quite decent watch if you are quite patient person. with FL stubbornness.

Underrated!
Ok, if u're into the Omegaverse genre, don't ever hesitate to watch it!For those who don't know this genre:
This series is a fresh concept in the entire BL series world—a great story with the best actors.
BUT I recommend you go and read about this genre, and if you don't like the idea or the details, then just move on.

Prepare your tissues type of melodrama #C-Trauma for the win!
Very good! It makes you addicted real quick and keep up a nice pace. It could have been less episodes, we wasted a lot of time because of intentional miscommunication. It was really interesting how they tackle on war, the psychological issues it brings and didn't give us any weird miracle but rather kept it more real.Chen Ze Yuan was phenomenal in his role! I've never seen him like this, I discovered a new aspect of his acting and loved it! And Liang Je did a good job too. They had a nice chemistry. The characters development was also nice. We had a great cast because we end up being attached to several supporting characters. Overall, if you like melodramas, just go for it.
I couldn't give it a 10 because even though some aspects are quite realistic which makes the drama even more enjoyable, some others are just... a bit too biased and cliché. When the subject is military, every country always paint themselves as the savior which makes them neglects a lot of other aspects. Nothing wrong with it, it's a drama and it definitely doesn't make the show less significant. But some dialogues did come off as weird, out of place. You'll wonder, who says such thing or who acts like that. They went overboard with the melodrama and missed making a masterpiece.

Ending was bland, beginning was soo good!
I would’ve given this show 9 stars if the ending was written better. I binged the first 5-6 episodes ish & then had to force myself to get through each episode after that. The actors were great though! The initial storyline was so wonderful, but the ending just didn’t have a lot of spice & I think it could’ve been written differently with a similar outcome. I wish they would’ve wrapped up Bong-Su’s story differently. I wanted him to get to go to high school & be a kid! His character was adorable and mischievous lolWas this review helpful to you?
Simple and Boring
The starting was fun. I knew this was a comedy romance and I was prepared for a light hearted romance but I was not ready for boring. All scenes that could/should have been emotional or carry some depth, basically the back stories of both main characters were shallow.
The young romance was boring and I found myself skipping through any scene with them.
I do like the main male lead which is why even with so much skipping I finished this drama.
I could not decide if the lawyer had a crush on the ML for chasing him for a silly to no reason OR he genuinely liked FL.
Parents were selfish and confused about what they really wanted.
Nothing about the story sticks, everything is on a fast pace and you just don't get to enjoy a certain emotion properly before another one is thrown at you.
It's a simple, uncomplicated binge watch that does get boring from time to time.

A joyful and heartwarming series
PLOT: Cher/Laem (a playful student, gamer, and streamer) begins an internship at Boss Gun's company (a taciturn, demanding man with a history of homophobia trauma). Gun needs Cher's ASMR streams to sleep. A relationship gradually develops between them, allowing them to heal past wounds and face the challenges of the future.+++ Force and Book are adorable, moving, subtle, and have very natural chemistry. I love this couple ☆✲゚。(((´♡‿♡`+)))。゚✲☆
+++ A coherent and realistic story that nevertheless tackles difficult themes (rape, domestic violence, suicide). Effective direction, with no dull moments.
+++ The overall tone is light, with two great teams: the friendship of the gamer team and the humor of the coworkers.
+++ Great OSTs.
### A few clichés, but handled with humor.
=> A joyful and heartwarming series.

The Better Peach Lover
Do not go into this one expecting a serious drama. This is meant to be over the top and cheesy and it delivers. Pond plays Thee, the misguided and misunderstood (pseudo)mafia heir who learns all he knows about love and how to interact with others from watching his mother's old drama series. Phuwin plays Peach, the loveable freelance photographer everyone wants to work with who adores his little sister and his bestie Aran (played by Santa). The storyline was successful in most areas, but the Aran and Tawan (played by Perth obviously) arc left something to be desired. Still, it has some really cute moments, and it has a lot of character development for both the leads. And bonus, this one has the guys playing roles their age rather than another university schtick. I enjoyed each episode (yes, even the kissing. I swear they get better with each new series) and think most Thai BL watchers will as well. Was this review helpful to you?
Hey Daddy
If you are one of the Dunk haters spewing nonsense about him getting too muscular to be a bottom, seriously go eat zucchini. Dunk is looking hot and giving Daddy vibes with his face-card that absolutely never declines, and we are here for it. I'm not 100% sold on the plot, but the twist is likely going to pull it all together in the final 2 episodes. Joong as a sulky baby top is so cute I just want to eat him up. The music is banger after banger and with the additional cast of Fluke, AouBoom, and our sassy BL princess Sammy, I'm confident in recommending this one to any Thai BL lover. Was this review helpful to you?
A Tiny Time Travel Gem with a Big Heart
Splash Splash Love is one of those drama specials that feels complete despite its short runtime. With only two episodes, it tells a charming and heartfelt story about a high school girl who accidentally travels back in time and becomes entangled in palace politics. Gifted with modern knowledge and the ability to predict rain in an era dependent on rituals, she quickly realizes how dangerous knowledge can be. To survive, she disguises herself as a man and tries to find a way back home, and that is where this sweet and thoughtful journey truly begins. What makes this mini drama shine is how naturally everything unfolds. The plot is simple but engaging, blending time travel, historical setting, fantasy, and romantic comedy without feeling rushed. The forbidden romance between a girl from the future and a lonely king from the past is surprisingly tender. Their relationship develops in a soft and believable way, balancing humor with emotional depth. The female lead is bright, witty, and refreshingly bold, while the king evolves from serious and burdened to quietly warm and playful around her. Their chemistry is subtle yet deeply touching.
Visually, the drama is stunning. The cinematography, palace scenery, and traditional settings create a dreamy atmosphere that pulls you straight into that era. There is a peaceful tone throughout, yet it never loses its emotional weight. It makes you laugh, then suddenly tugs at your heart. Beneath the romance lies a thoughtful message about knowledge, progress, and the courage it takes to challenge outdated beliefs. It quietly reminds us how frightening innovation once seemed, and how much society owes to those who dared to think differently.
Even though it is short, it never feels incomplete. In fact, its brevity works in its favor. It feels like a beautifully wrapped movie-length story that knows exactly what it wants to say. Of course, part of you wishes there were more episodes to explore the characters and their world further, but at the same time, it ends so satisfyingly that it leaves no real complaints.
Splash Splash Love is fluffy, warm, and magical in the gentlest way. It is the perfect in-between watch when you want something romantic, light, and meaningful without committing to a long series. A tiny drama with a surprisingly big heart.

Expectations were high...
Welp.I had hopes. I thought that perhaps the fact that netflix was producing this would help, but...
Where do I even start? The pacing is HORRIBLE (why are we getting soap opera in the middle of an investigation that had Jay in immediate danger of DEATH????) and the story is simply not cohesive. They say they have no time and have to rush but then they're randomly all lovey-dovey for half an episode. I really wanted to stick this out, but I started yelling at the screen and calling the characters stupid so I'm dropping for my sanity.
I tuned in mostly because I watched The Heart Killers and I saw a great deal of potential in that series that was simply not explored. And yet again I was way more invested in Joong's character (probably because his acting is just better than Dunk's, sorry). Though I have to admit this time around both of their characters are flat as hell. Their relationship makes NO sense at all.
I'm glad to see they got gun training this time around. But otherwise the production is not doing this series any favors... What is wrong with the music????? Why is it just cutting into the scenes louder than the dialogues???
Overall, I could rant more, probably. but some joongdunk fan probably already has an assasin called on me for this review so i will just end it here.

They win the world's cutest couple award
Kinn & Porsche literally are the world's sweetest and hottest couple. I cannot even describe the chemistry between these two. I feel like chemistry isn't even the right word to describe what you see and feel when you watch them. It is a love so deep that we all strive to have.I really REALLY hope we will see these two paired again in lots of dramas. They are truly AMAZING actors who make you feel all the feels in your heart when watching them.
The story was REALLY ridiculous at some points which is why I couldn't give it a full 10. However, I will watch any outrageous plot as long as it has these two in it.

The usual toxic trope, but well produced and performed
I feel like this plot is a little borderline. Although there is an important revelation in the end, the relationship between Seo Jeong Han and Il Jo has a huge problem: the toxicity. Honestly, a part of me likes it, just because the sexual interactions are strong, passionate and well filmed. On the other hand, Seo Jeong Han’s behaviour towards Il Jo is not really acceptable. He wields power over his weaker cousin, not only sexual (that I consider okay if both parts are fine, some people like to have sex this way), but also emotional (that I consider the real matter), leading to easily evitable misunderstandings. One of the main issues is the absence of the bottom’s personality, he is completely dominated by the top. Furthermore, the other elements aren’t that original: the safe second lead, the half-brother who’s a jerk, the father and his plans for Seo Jeong Han’s career. Nothing that we haven’t already seen. Lastly, the end wasn’t exciting: I know I ask too much but it would have been nice to see them together starting their new life (or maybe have a second season? Impossible). In conclusion, this story isn’t that great and the toxicity decreases its value. The performances are on another level, though. Both main characters are fabulous! Jeong Ri U in so incisive: that almost sadistic grin that at one point turns into a genuine, spontaneous smile kind of melted me. Yoon Ji Sung’s puppy face is exceptional (the problem is the lack of personality of the character, not the actor’s performance). To sum up, both portraits their characters’ emotions in a marvellous way and the chemistry is enchanting, I could see right through their eyes, I felt their sentiments as well. Also, I need to mention Lee Dong Joo’s interpretation: his evil eyes, his smirks, his provocative behaviour. Lastly, great work everyone. Tear-jerking music is important in this type of series: it helps you connect with the characters’ sadness and feelings. in addition, I liked the audio during sex scenes. In my opinion, the filming is good and the grey atmosphere and colour-grade matches the story’s vibes (the perfect example is Seo Jeong Han's house). The countryside home, on the contrary, is the bright place: it seems a warm hug, a comfy and cozy place (my favourite location).
The relationship is toxic, nevertheless I recommend this series because basically I enjoyed it (the same thing happened with ‘Nevertheless’ few years ago – not bl though). Furthermore, I think I’m going to watch some scenes again (probably sex scenes).
Thank you for reading,
kisses <3

"Put a bar on your mouth"
Samurai Spy was stylishly shot and acted, but veered too often into style over substance territory. Set at the beginning of the Tokugawa Shogunate and based on the folklore hero Sarutobi Sasuke, director Shinoda Masahiro went for a noir mood to showcase the samurai and ninja spies crisscrossing the countryside.Sarutobi Sasuke belongs to the “neutral” Sanada clan. He travels gathering info on the Tokugawa and Toyotomi clans. He has no desire for war or classifying people as enemy or friend. There’s been peace since the Battle of Sekigahara, but hostilities under the surface are about to explode. Sasuke’s battle friend, Mitsuaki, who plays both side against the middle has a Tokugawa spy who wants to defect. Tatewaki Koriyama has decided to change sides, but his fellow Yagyu spy, Sakon Takatani is terrifyingly deadly and on their trail. Everyone wants Tatewaki and mistakenly believe Sasuke knows his whereabouts which leads to numerous deadly encounters.
For a samurai and ninja film, there was a surprising amount of talking in circles. Everyone was a spy or double agent. You know you need a score card and to pay attention when the first five minutes is exposition and character introductions. Most likely a translation issue, but it didn’t help when the characters were not consistent in what they called each other. I found parts of it needlessly confusing. There was a boy who carried around a dead crow who wandered in and out of important scenes but I’m not sure if he was supposed to symbolize anyone. A familiar character to Sasuke and to those familiar with the folklore appeared at the end of the film. So, if you are a fan of the characters there may be Easter eggs lurking about.
Takahashi Koji made for a striking Sasuke. Tanba Tetsuro as the deadly white ninja Sakon had fun chewing the scenery as he wielded a variety of weapons. Sasuke held his sword like a samurai but also utilized ninja weapons. The fights were highly stylized yet effective, using swords, chains, and throwing stars/darts. I would have loved for the characters to have been better defined but when dealing with spies, I suppose it was too tall an order to ask.
Samurai Spy was entertaining if lackluster at times. A working knowledge of the characters and history might enhance your viewing experience. I found Shinoda’s filming style often more compelling than the characters, which wasn’t a bad thing, it was interesting to look at. My biggest complaint was that during some of his super close-ups, I could see the wig netting on Sasuke. If the folklore or time period interest you, it’s one to try. Story 7.0, Style 8.0, final score 7.5
