Character development worthy of a drama.
Easily the best season of Single’s Inferno, I even dare to say one of the best seasons of any Asian dating show. You had it all - fun characters, unique characters, annoying characters, hot, cute, smart, strong. You name it, they had it.I do think a lot of pairings were rather obvious half way through, but the journey to get there had a lot of ups and downs. Be it caused by one and only “Mary Sue”, or personal indecisiveness, curiosity, lack of communication. If you wanted to map all the connections together, you get that “connecting dots” meme.
There were moments when I questioned the sanity of the people in the show, since their decision making skills were… interesting at best. Why did they choose it? Why did they say that? Why did they not explain? Why did they explain it this way? At times I felt like they are working hard to make their own lives harder. And it was so entertaining to watch.
What was best though were the MCs. That was probably one of the most honest commentaries I have seen in any dating show so far. You can clearly see when they are frustrated and annoyed, when they are happy or surprised. They criticize and question the contestants when they disagree with their choices. Their commentary simply did not feel as scripted as it usually does.
Overall, without giving any spoilers - worth watching. I was dropping everything to watch every episode as it aired. I liked the games they were playing - intense. I liked the switches between the “pairings”. I liked how unique everyone felt. Probably the best casting so far.

“A Simple Yet Engaging Korean Web BL.”
Why was this beyond my expectations? It wasn’t insanely good, but it definitely wasn’t bad either. It felt reasonable, warm, and surprisingly comforting. I personally enjoyed it more than I thought I would. In fact, I was hesitant to even start it because I wasn’t sure it would be my type of drama.
To be honest, I’m a bit tired of Korean high school bullying stories. The “weak student gets bullied” storyline is something we’ve seen many times. However, this one handled it in a way that still felt engaging.
The bullied student’s character was portrayed well, and his dynamic with the stronger classmate — who clearly liked him and stood up for him — made the story more enjoyable. Having someone protect him didn’t feel overly dramatic; it felt simple and sincere.
The tension between them wasn’t intense or overwhelming, but it was exciting in a soft way. Their awkward smiles at each other were actually one of my favorite parts — slightly funny, slightly sweet, and very natural.
Overall, it worked for me. It may not be groundbreaking, but it was warm, decent, and enjoyable.
And at the end of the day, if I liked it, that’s what matters most.

Brilliant in every way possible!
This series kind of caught me by surprise on how fantastic it turned out to be. The story lines blend into each other with great precision. You find yourself so drawn into this series with each passing "death" .. it's kind of difficult to stop watching it, even if you tried. In Guk gives a flawless performance one death after the next, along with Mi Kyung as his mother, who delivers a great performance as well.
Anyone who has lost someone close to them, can appreciate the pain these characters are showing on screen. If you happen to be religious, this series is even more powerful.
As you continue through this drama, you start to wonder how this will work out. It can go in so many directions, for the good or bad. You need to carry it over into part 2, because it's just brilliant on how things end up. It was so satisfying and truly unexpected the way things will conclude in part 2. There's a line used toward the end that truly applies ... "It's ok to fail, as long as you keep going"
Life is worth living, no matter how bad things seem at your lowest of times!!

A Tale of Thousand Lies
An unpredictable phycological thriller drama that manages to keep you in the dark almost until the end. The mystery part is very interesting and suspenseful. Highly detailed with many twists and turns, the story requires the audience's full attention from the very beginning, because a lot of information is not going to be repeated more than once and everything said will be important later on.Regarding the romantic aspect of the series, I wasn't as convinced. It needed a stronger build-up or less space in the plot by skipping any unnecessary scenes, so it felt more naturally integrated to the rest of the story and its style, rather than like a separate storyline. The fusion of the two genres just wasn't very successful, in my opinion.
As for the characters, they were well-developed overall, very intriguing, with some interesting traits. They were neither two-dimensional nor without depth, and everyone had their own goals and motivations.
The acting was good as well. Every actor did a fine job and I was more than happy to see Force and Book in roles that were very different from the ones they are usually cast in.
Overall, I do recommend this series, especially to fans of mysteries and complex plots. It has some issues with the whole execution and the writing, but it's still a drama with a lot of layers that will keep your attention, and the payoff will be worth it.

Lusi carried the show with her acting ?
Other reviewers have covered the show in detail. I just want to add that while the story is not a masterpiece or comparable to any of the other time travel/different world shows that I have seen, it stands out as a good and relaxing watch because of Zhao Lusi. The reason is her acting. The way she acts silly, cute, and her random acts of foolery make the show enjoyable. It's really funny to watch her befriend prison guards and that donkey scenes 😂Was this review helpful to you?

Where softness, meets storytelling
I genuinely felt good after watching this drama—it was healing in the quietest way. There’s something gentle and soothing about how the story unfolds, like it lets you breathe while watching. The concept of them meeting in a VR world felt so unique to me; it added a dreamy layer to their connection and made their bond feel even more special. What stayed with me the most is their love for each other—it’s the kind of love I also hope to find in real life: patient, understanding, and steady. Both the FL and ML have their own distinct traits that I truly admire, and together, they balance each other so well. You can really feel why they’re the main leads—their growth, their sincerity, and the way they choose each other made this story quietly unforgettable.

ENJOY THE FEELING OF SPRING!
Spring Fever is so real because I caught it and it's never going away! Some of the symptoms include feeling a beautiful warmth inside, non-stop smiling, and being absolutely obsessed with this K-drama!All jokes aside, Spring Fever was an absolute pleasure to watch and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!
This is a romantic comedy in the purest sense and while the story is simple, and sometimes a little silly, it had some surprisingly complex depth to it. This was made all the more impactful through the incredible chemistry between our leads, Seon Jae Gyu and Yun Bom. I have to say that THIS is what made the drama for me and worth watching, to the point that they might have to be my favourite K-drama couple ever now! Not only do they look incredible together, but everything just felt so natural and real. This is rare and basically fate, my only criticism is that I wanted more! I am now so hoping that Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Joo Bin become a real couple after this. Please!!!
I definitely won’t ever be forgetting about Spring Fever and I already can’t wait to go back to watch my favourite moments again. This is one the best feelings, like a beautiful SPRING feeling!

Modern, dynamic, and very well executed.
Excellent entertainment.Congratulations to Taiwan for this outstanding production in collaboration with Netflix. I watched all eight episodes in one sitting — the story is that engaging and compelling.
The casting was an excellent choice, the script consistently strong, and the direction sharp and intelligent. Everything works in harmony to sustain the tension and maintain the viewer’s interest without losing narrative coherence.
If you enjoy investigative dramas filled with action, featuring young protagonists and intriguingly crafted killers, this series is certainly worth your time.
Modern, dynamic, and very well executed.
I truly enjoyed it.

One of the best Chinese drama series I have ever seen
I’m impressed! The story stayed engaging and sincere all the way to the end. The actors were excellent as well, and they managed to convey the characters’ emotions perfectly.I might have shortened the story just a little. I also appreciate that it focused on ordinary people. A story this meaningful could be set in almost any country or society.
I appreciate that the actors were willing to take on such heavy roles in a story that hardly belongs to the most popular genre.

THIS WAS SO GOOD 10/10 ♥️♥️♥️
This series was really good. I like how there are different types of couples and how they have their own situation or love story. The story that I like the most would be P'Johan's and P'North. They were really cutee in this one and the story is just perfect 😍🥰♥️
The song was also cute and fluffy. Thank you for this masterpiece even though I was a bit late 😔🥰
I also liked P'Hill and P'Easter's story but I don't like how feminine Easter was 😔😢 I'm sorry Idk, I guess I like the BL series when the leads are like gay but not too gay. I remembered that one bl that I watched I forgot the title but the main lead character that was a guy was wearing a bra and he got made fun of I think.. so yeah idk 😭😭🥺🥺
Anyways, thank you so much for this series! 🥰😍♥️♥️ it's really good and worth it to watch 🥰🥰

A Simple Rom-Com (In the Best Way)
I couldn’t stop smiling throughout my binge-watch. I was looking for a goofy, lighthearted drama, and this was exactly what I needed. It was cheesy, funny, overdramatic, and a little silly but in a way that made it so enjoyable. There wasn’t an overcomplicated plot, which I appreciated. When things got messy, the characters actually communicated and resolved issues quickly instead of dragging them out. It felt refreshing. I ended up binging it all in one go and genuinely had a great time.
The emotional moments made me tear up, and the lighter scenes kept me smiling. Overall, the writing and acting were great, and it delivered exactly what I was looking for

✨Mischievous Besties, Multiverse Madness & Cheng Lei’s Weaponized Eye Smolder✨
This has been sitting on my PTW list for what feels like a geological era.The visuals? Visualing. Relentlessly. Every frame looks like it went through a “make it extra” committee and got unanimous approval. I love how the drama pays tribute to the donghua adaptation while still carving out its own identity. It doesn’t feel derivative — it feels celebratory. CL and WCR absolutely understood the assignment.
The overall energy is very much “mischievous besties accidentally causing chaos while low-key saving the country,” and I am having tons of fun.
At its core, we’re dealing with a transmigration story — but not the basic, single-layer kind. This one plays with multiple levels of reality, and the plot unfolds in a way that feels deceptively light at first. It starts off playful and unserious, almost familiar… and then gradually reveals more complexity and emotional layering. Gotta love that.
The chemistry between the leads? As expected: chef’s kiss. CL and WCR bring so much texture to their roles. And yes, we get Cheng Lei’s signature eye-smolder-and-suffer-in-silence package deal. His portrayal of the “mad tyrant” is magnetic — intense, wounded, slightly unhinged, but deeply human. Add the fact that he fell first and harder? That’s the good stuff. That’s the premium subscription tier of romance angst.
That said, I do feel some frustration in the middle stretch. There were moments where the leads seemed to drift into supporting-character territory due to limited screen time, which slightly disrupted the emotional momentum for me.
I’m currently on episode 20 and genuinely enjoying the ride.
But I still can’t say this drama is giving me butterflies.
It’s nice. It’s charming. It’s the kind of show I’ll happily watch instead of working on my papers… but not the kind that hijacks my entire nervous system. I’m invested, just not unwell about it.
Maybe not every drama has to rearrange my brain chemistry. Some can just be… good company.
We’ll see if it eventually decides to emotionally attack me..
Now, about the ending. Given that this is technically a transmigration drama, censorship realities limit the possible conclusions. We’ve already had subtle hints suggesting “maybe we’re fictional characters who transmigrated into a story,” which introduces a double — maybe triple? — layered reality situation. Are we in a story inside a story inside a story? Is this narrative inception? Who knows. I’m cautiously predicting an ADWAD-style resolution, but I’m really hoping they commit to a satisfying and emotionally coherent finale.
I’ll be back with a full verdict once I finish.
Cheers.
✨UPDATE✨
Finished it — overall, a decent and fairly engaging watch.
The leads were adorable and emotionally mature. No dragged-out breakups. Just communication and loyalty, which was refreshing.
The tragic deaths hit as expected. The SFL was a highlight and deserves more roles.
I was invested, but no butterflies. The romance occasionally felt diluted by side plots I wasn’t interested in, which flattened the emotional impact for me.
The ending went full ADWAD — triple-layered reality confirmed. Inside the book world, the leads get a satisfying conclusion. In the modern world? A last-minute reunion.
Sir.
For this genre, we technically got more closure than LGIEF gave us, so I’ll acknowledge that. But I cannot pretend I didn’t want more. Show me the reunion properly. Show me the conversations. Show me the emotional unpacking. Especially from ML’s perspective. He returned a decade earlier than FL. A whole decade. I need answers. How did he track her down? What was he thinking all those years? What did it feel like to remember everything alone? The narrative potential was right there. Maybe censorship made extended modern resolution too sensitive territory — maybe not. Hard to say. But it does feel like we only got the appetizer of what could have been a very satisfying epilogue.
Overall, 8 - 8.25 for me. Strong performances and visuals, ambitious concept — just occasionally flat for my personal taste.
Still, a triple-reality transmigration romance with stable leads and a confirmed reunion is a small victory in this genre.
