Showcasing the Light that one can experience after Trauma, but the Traumatic Experience is Very Real
It was excellent. As expected from writer Mo Shu Bai (also wrote Destined, the Princess Royal). Vin Zhang is truly an amazing, amazing actor. I don't know if his physique or his demeanor or just impressive acting skills, but he always fully embodies what it looks like to be a “man”, he is the kind of person that is essential to have by your side if you go through what MXT's character has gone through. And I am happy that it wasn’t so traumatic and they masterfully highlighted all of the light in the midst of such a dark synopsis. MXT is really cute here too.**spoilers** I do wish more people got convicted in the end, there were too many "turn over a new leaf" moments at the final trial. They made it so only one guy was the villain, but it would’ve made for better, vindicating storytelling if his wife, the secretary, and Chuchu never repented for their ways and faced the full repercussions of their actions.
I also wish the husband didn’t go to jail for 2 YEARS, but I understand why it has to happen because the CCP requires all crimes to be properly brought to justice in modern dramas, and the intent of his crime was grave enough to warrant the jail time, even if he surrendered before fully following through (and his crime was probably so grave because those were the actions he took in the book, so it had to be true to his character).
Anyway, I’m rating it a 9.5 rather than a 10, not because of the few critiques I listed above, but simply because it’s such a heavy story that I don’t think I could ever watch it again. So 0 re-watchability.

Never thought this day would come
After 3 LONG years, I finally finished this show. I was so excited for this show, and then it turned out to be so bad, and that pissed me all off, so yeah. Also, I don't think the first couple of episodes have reviews because it has BEEN SO LONG. I dont think I started doing that yet, so the rating is a little skewed, and I am sorry. (I DID, WE ARE IN LUCK) I would give it a 7.5 (7.6) out of 10, and I am gonna say what I liked, what I didn't, and then an episode overview to finally put this show to rest.I will give it to them. The start was pretty good, and I think they set this up really well. That's it, I fear. The rest of the show was unwiped ASS.
2x speed will be your best friend. I am just saying. It helps you take in information faster without having to scoop your eyes out with a spoon because this shit is so boring. Slow burn. Not all slow burns are bad. This one was bad, tho, and the fact that they don't know how to write a plot without dragging it out was their downfall. It got confusing in the second episode. The sex scenes were terribly placed and also added to the show's downfall. It went from cute lesbian love to just straight fetish shit, my lord. We suck at plot writing and also character writing. So many one-dimensional shity ass characters, INCLUDING LADY SAM. SHE WAS SO ONE-DIMENSIONAL AND HAD NO SPINE, AND WAS A TERRIBLE AND TOXIC CHARACTER. This show was terribly boring. WEIRD AS FUCKING LOVE SQUARE BETWEEN KIRK, LADY SAM, MON, AND THE GUY I THOUGHT WAS HER BROTHER. TERRIBLE. Everyone in the office is terribly irrelevant, and office romance fucking suck. They had so many fake issues to drag the plot out, and it was boring af. The pacing was awful fucking terrible. Like it was a slow burn, and then we jumped the gun and made a drag plot. Their own relationship was so toxic, Jesus fuck. They had chemistry at the start of the show, and then it just died, and it made this a harder watch. And that's it.
Okay, my overview time. "I liked the start. It was a slow burn, and it really showed us which characters are likable and which ones aren’t. Great start, really. I’m really excited for this show. I’ve been waiting for it to come out." I was then shot in the back of the head 57 times. "Hey, we are going to make a really boring episode and then put all the drama and tea at the end, so you will go to the next episode." "These episodes feel so damn long and literally nothing happens." "This is the most bullshit plot ever, what the fuck." "YALL MAKE ME WANNA BE VIOLENT. I SWEAR TO GOD. OH MY GOD. The pacing of this is awful, because we take one step forward and five steps back; it is pissing me off." "Random bitches just keep getting added, and we are all so irrelevant because our main couple isn't even relevant." "If someone makes you cry this much, I don't think you should be with them." "Irrelevant side characters and bad character writing equal a terrible show."
Yeah, no. Okay bye!

The One Fatal Flaw is the FL's Acting
This was another perfect, well crafted story written by the masterful author, Mo Shu Bai.This is the first adaptation of a Mo Shu Bai work where the main CP has not already been married for years before the drama begins (The Princess Royal, Light Beyond the Reed), or is not forced into a marriage by the end of the first episode (Destined). For once, we're not seeing a married couple learn to fall in love again (or for the first time), but we're seeing two individuals who have no ties to each other weighing the costs and benefits of letting a little stirring of emotions turn into a lifelong commitment.
While fundamentally different from the past works, it is a love story could have worked if executed well. And while Mo Shu Bai set up this couple perfectly to be successful, Victoria Song's basic lack of understanding of the character caused the main CP to crash and burn in a way such that even Ding Yuxi's acting couldn't save it.
CONS
The main CP was the worst, most uninteresting couple to watch and it was entirely Victoria's fault. Honestly their romance peaked when it was just a one-sided love from DYX, but once she started reciprocate his feelings and they tried to "Fight For Love", I was annoyed with them. The main flaw was that Victoria misunderstood CY's character entirely, and instead of acting as a mature, complex woman, she acted like a child blind-sided by a love confession, and then later blindly motivated by love without any plausible reason for romance to be blossoming. They truly had almost no chemistry (I say "almost" b/c DYX can truly have chemistry with a broomstick). And their "love above all else" attitude was infuriating at times, because in reality their love was not so great, was not worth fighting for, and should not have gotten so in the way of the bigger picture like it did.
PROS
EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER had depth, had a purpose, was never tiring to watch. Every side story, side romance, side conflict, was intriguing and worth slowing down for. And I loved every choice made by every character (except for the main CP when it came to choices made regarding their relationship). The story was constantly subverting my expectations with how great these characters could be. And I've watched enough C-dramas to see supporting characters, SMLs, side couples, etc. make infuriating, choices or "noble idiocy" moves or irrationally villainous choices that I was constantly expecting them, but every single time it didn't happen! I felt like I was constantly waiting to get betrayed by characters that I was growing fond of and that never happened (Song Shilan, I am so glad that I was able to root for you until the end, you had all the makings to become a villain or a backstabber, but you were not).
The politics were also great! Every time I avoided picking up the show again for fear of being disappointed by the main CP, we actually shifted focus to the war, to politics, to the bromances, to the great virtues of every side character, and I was pleasantly surprised and not disappointed after all.
I cannot give it more than a 9/10 b/c the show is called "Fight For Love" and that is essentially the only plot line that I hated, but everything else I loved and every actor was a rockstar (except for Victoria). Even though this is the lowest score I've ever given to a Mo Shu Bai work, all of the redeeming qualities came from the additional characters that she wrote, and I can tell that this drama might have even been a 10 out of 10 if 1) The FL was differently cast, and 2) the drama was allowed to do the original rebirth/reincarnation plot line that was in the book (which unfortunately had to be dropped from the drama adaptation due to China's outlaw of reincarnation plots in C-dramas). So I have no doubt that she is still a Top Tier writer and will only produce 10/10 works in the future.

And the emotions in this are exquisite, sometimes painful, sometimes beautiful, always grounded and real. Score and pacing are superb, acting excellent - everything working together to give it richness and depth, everything coming exactly when it needs to. I really do love the Thai way with a story, especially their two hour movies.
If I could see one piece of media over again for the first time, it would be this.

Beautiful
For a short movie, this was so beautiful and touching.First, it's loosely based on Natsume Soseki's novel Kokoro:
I think it's only influenced by it not an adaptation or anything, and I was about to be angry when I started it and found out that it has absolutely nothing to do with the book -except maybe the love and guilt theme- because I'm a huge fan of it, but this movie was so good that I didn't care about it being an adaptation or not.
The story is painfully beautiful and the 3 actors did a great job, I usually refrain from saying anything in my reviews for short movies because it's only 30 mins, anything I say about it would spoil everything but I loved it so much.
Kouhei was so pretty, he broke my heart in the confession scene, it was heart-wrenching, the way he said those words to Takuya's character... I want to give him a hug, I don't understand how could he bear to watch him like that and leave.
Highly recommended movie ❣️❣️

I don't like the last 5 ending episodes
Tbh i am not very satisfied with this serie, ending was terrible, i hate that they killed those 3 funny guys after just lifting their seal, these boys didn't even get a chance to change their lives and find their true better half. As always chinese like to use side characters to use only for the wellbeing of the leads, and honestly it's anoying as it its already, just stop with that, it's getting on my nerves. But i also understand that this kind of pov is part of the culture, but it's wrong, everybody deserve to be happy and loved equally. Also after Hong Ye sacrifised himself and let all the shit he made repent, writers still didn't leave it as it is, and got him back with XY with some bibidibabidi bu. Like what?? Serioslly, i love Neo but this character he plays, its terrible, wtf are you telling me Ml can be back and some back characters can't? They should at least give those 3 boys reincarnation possibility they def deserved it after all shit they selflesly took from Fl and her HY obssesion. In normal dramas those two leads are evil guys. Was this review helpful to you?
Cute splice of life drama
Where do I start? This is was such a cute drama. Everyone did such an amazing job with their roles. I smiled, I squealed, I blush, and I laugh. The casting is perfect.I am not a huge fan of Zhao Jin Mai nor Song Wei Long — don't get me wrong, I do watch their dramas, but I don't watch it because of them. I watch it for the value of the drama.
With that being said, I really did enjoy this drama. It is such a sweet drama.
Nie Xiguang — she really is the "blazing sunlight" that lit up Lin Yu Sen's forest. She was cute, but she also stood her ground. She was a little naive in the beginning but once she graduated college and started working, she grew up. I feel that among everyone who graduated with her, she grew up the most. She learned how to value herself and find someone who is most compatible with her rather than someone who dims her light.
Lin Yu Sen — he was really the "ideal" boyfriend. Someone who has both IQ and EQ. He was mature when pursuing Nie Xiguang. He never pressured her to be with him, instead, he just showed up when she needed him most. He was cold to her in the beginning, but it never really lasted that long. He always treated her with respect and love. Even in the midst of the misunderstanding. The only thing is that I would love to see a little jealousy from him. I mean, a jealous CEO is the cutest thing ever.
Zhuang Xu — I don't think of as a villain at all. In fact, I pity him. Timing was never right for him when it comes to Nie Xiguang. He liked her, but he felt that they were world apart and he couldn't reach her so he waited until he can reach her to be with her, but he waited a little too long. She had already found someone who can embrace all of her. Like she said to him, he took her feelings for him for granted thinking that she will always be there when he was ready. He never thought that she would find someone else and he relied on her "promise" that she made. I wished he was more direct with her and I was really hoping he ends up with Chris. I thought that Chris as a good match for him.
Ye Rong — sighs. To me, she's the villain. She literally made Xiguang her "rival" in her mind for no reason. She lied to Xiguang and took advantage of her feelings for Zhuang Xu to make herself look better. She confronted Xiguang without any proof and never apologized. She acted smugly because of her insecurities. Honestly, I am glad that she finally realized that she is far below Xiguang even without Xiguang using her family's influence.
Nie Cheng Yuan, Ma Nianyuan, and Qian Fangpang — these three really belonged together. Nie Cheng Yuan really is a horrible father. He would rather believed Ma Nianyuan over his own daughter. I hated him. He goes in my book of worse parents in C-drama land. I am glad that Nie Xiguang finally put him in his place. For Qian Fangpang, she deserved everything that came to her at the end. She was acting all smug and everything, she deserves to lose everything. Ma Nianyuan — for her, I kind of feel bad. She just followed her mother but I don't feel too bad for her. She actually deserves being scammed since she presented herself like a heiress.
Xiguang's mother, grandparents, friends at Guang Yu, aunt, uncle, and Jiang Rui — I adored them and their support. They really helped Xiguang shined. They allowed her to be herself and allowed her to grow and shine. They were never jealous of her nor dimmed her light. I was glad that she was able to find a group of people who loved her and supported her.
Why did I take half points away?
Well, the simple answer is, that they spent so long in the "pursuing/liking" era that they didn't not spend enough time on the "dating" era. I wanted to see them date more. Also, as I stated under Zhuang Xu, I wish they have him a redemption arc or a partner. I didn't like how things ended with him and Chris. I take that back, they did give him a redemption arc, but was that really a redemption? I mean, he finally understood what Xiguang went through with the false accusation, but he didn't even apologize for her. He almost did, but he didn't. I know that Zhuang Xu wasn't everyone's favorite, but for me, he was just like any ordinary guy with insecurities. His family situation really made him feel like he was not good enough for someone like Xiguang, who has everything. But I do give him credit for pushing her to apply for more jobs, rather than just using her family's connection and staying in Wuxi. With what he said to Xiguang, we got to see her grow into a confident, strong woman. Rather than the lazy and naive girl from the start.

Why amnesia saved Fu Yi Xiao's life...
This was a very strange drama but extremely entertaining and amazing chemistry between the leads. I'm easily frustrated with amnesia arcs but it was actually necessary for the story here. Fu Yi Xiao's amnesia saved her life. It saved her the trouble of killing her feelings for her toxic ex and allowed her to fall in love with Feng Sui Ge without the barriers of those past feelings.Fu Yi Xiao was an incredible FL. One of my favorites from last year. She was beautiful, intelligent and highly skilled. I loved her no BS attitude and it carried into her love life too. There were no silly miscommunications or prideful games played between these two. Even though he was a man, Feng Sui Ge was actually the less experienced one in the relationship. His moments of innocence and vulnerability when he was with Fu Yi Xiao were really sweet to watch. Feng Sui Ge was a solid male lead as well. Chen Zhe Yuan's chemistry with Li Qin is undeniable. In the beginning they were borderline masochists but that oddly added to their compatibility. But as they fell in love it was their respect for each other and their devotion that made them so great together. They are both amazing people individually, but together they were one of my favorite power couples of 2025.
For most of the show I found it weird and unrealistic that Fu Yi Xiao would abandon her country so easily. But the more we learned about how terrible of a place Jinxu is, her being so unpatriotic made sense...
Xia Jing Shi was a mysterious and complex character who had me at the edge of my seat this whole drama. I knew he was a villain, and I did not want him to succeed in his plans, but the suspense had me so hyped! Until the day came and his actual attempted coup was very underwhelming and rushed after all of that build up. I wasn't surprised that he never fell in love with the princess of Susha and still wanted Fu Yi Xiao. I mean, what man could get over Fu Yi Xiao?? What I didn't love is that Feng Sui Ge was the one that got to kill Xia Jing Shi. I felt like that kill belonged to Fu Yi Xiao. Xia Jing Shi lied to her and stole her whole life from her. Yes, Xia Jing Shi did stab Sui Ge's little sister, but she was in that situation because of her own decisions.
I have so many gripes with the princess and the Xia brothers but I was totally engrossed in their arc. I know a lot of people hated Feng Xi Yang because she was a desperate fool in the beginning. But I understood her being young, spoiled and rebellious. She saw a handsome savior with a cute face and beautiful hair and fell in love. Bonus, he's a prince! But once it became clear that there was no way he would ever be interested, she pressed the issue too many times and I lost respect for her. Then she gets with his murderous tyrant of a brother out of spite. At this point I just pitied her because she had finally realized her mistakes but it was too late and she had clearly entered a period of self loathing. Both of the Xia brothers were rotten people. So I couldn't vote for either of their happy endings. But they were both SO entertaining.
Overall, this drama was a lot better than I expected it to be. My rating would probably be even higher if they didn't give Feng Sui Ge that random and useless amnesia arc and then rushed the ending. Also the OST was awful. I could handle Sa Ding Ding in Moonlight Mystique but here it felt like the BGM and the soundtracks were attacking almost every scene.

Really bad and not in the fun way
oh boy...where do I even begin? The biggest (and honestly only) issue here is the writing.
The music, the set-design, THE COSTUMING and the directing are all phenomenal in my opinion. And the actors are all doing an amazing job, sometimes they're given whack dialogue (looking at you JimmyOhm) but they all give solid performances.
Unfortunately none of these things are able to save the atrocious writing here. Some examples:
- The progression of both Khanin's character and the romance between him and Charan are terrible. They both start out really well but after the first couple episodes both just fall into a kind of routine and NEVER progress beyond it. It makes the show really boring to watch since both of these things are the most important parts of the story. (Like a good 75% of the time it feels like there is NOTHING going on because those two just sit there and flirt and it's like "hello we have a story to get back to!".)
- Another thing that didn't get any progress/isn't fully explored is Charan's character and specifically his childhood-trauma. The fact that his mother's death was partly caused by the monarchy has seemingly no impact on his actions later-on and his relationship to the royal family.
- The two side-couples: RamilPaytai and CalvinJay are super underwritten. The first one has an interesting dynamic (that was honestly more intriguing than the main couple's) that is never explored to it's fullest potential. They almost seem to be written into the story more as a way to add more NC scenes rather than to tell an interesting, emotional story. CalvinJay are almost not worth talking about. Again there is a lot of interesting story just left un-executed.
- The only woman in the competion for the throne is Ava. Her whole story is basically about the inequality that women in Emmaly face. She has to convince the other's to let her compete. This was all fine and dandy until the last few episodes where she just drops out of the race. Her character is fully irrelevant after that and to some extant even extranuous to the story.
- Other than the characters the plot and it's progression is really bad too. We spend the first couple of episodes not even close to the place where the entire plot of the drama takes place. Once we finally arrive in Emmaly the actual competition takes a backseat in the story very fast. (Mind you, it is the big draw of the show!) We spend the next few episodes in different places in Emmaly following Khanin as he attempts to resolve smaller and bigger problems in the country. (I just want to iterate that the competition is basically not happening throughout all of this!) The last few episodes focus on the competition again but by this point we are so far past the original plot of the show that it is super startling to come back to it. There are so many details, places and people introduced in the story that are never in a any way relevant to the plot again. For exaple: We spend one episode in the university where Charan teaches just for it to never be a relevant place in the story again. The fact that Charan is a professor whilst being a guard is also weirdly irrelevant.
-The story also has a little bit of a problem with it's message and what it wants to be. Is it critical of Monarchy?, I honestly could not tell you. It's stances on feminism and activism are very convoluted and it also fails to make a real point about abuse and love within hierarchical structures. It attempts to discuss these issues but cramming them all into one show whilst simultaneously being a political thriller (?) and a cute romance whilst attemting a hunger-games-esque plot simply does not work.
-And between all of this the show is somehow INSANELY BORING. Side characters just sit down and have long, seemingly deep conversation about the plot multiple times per episode. They speak in riddles and metaphors because the writers think it makes the drama cool and them seem smart but it just falls completely flat. Montages of the main couple seem to last forever while the other couples that are in dire need of more screen time just get nothing. We were told that the main plot of the drama would be the competition yet it is apparently a complete afterthought for the writers. We spend episodes watching the characters walk around aimlesly. The show is really good at making it seem like something is happening but there just isn't.
All of this is very dissapointing to many because we were all waiting for this grand, amazing, show-stopping drama. And this just was not it. I've seen a lot of people explain the bad writing by saying that "it just displays the real world and how not everything is perfect" but I have to disagree. The show does not have this dark, serious tone to justify this reading.
I think the thing that we can learn from this is that a drama like this should 1) always have an awareness for itself and 2) try to not be more than that. I don't want to discorouge reaching for greatness but just pick one ot two things to be and stick with that. Don't try to save the whole world in one 14-episode-show.
In a way I think that the show should have been longer to fully explore all the themes and storylines mentioned above but then again, look at what they did with the time that they did have. So maybe it is better this way.
At the time of me writing this (january 2026) the show has a rating of 7.6 and I am usually not the type of person to care for stuff like that but it truly doesn't deserve a rating this high. It pains me to say this but I truly would not encourage anybody to watch this. This is unfortunately not even good in a bad way I did not enjoy waching it one bit. I only did because at that point I was to far along and my ego did not allow me to just drop the show. It is not worth it's time not even for a hate-watch.
If you enjoyed the show I am more than happy for you, we probably just have a different opinion there :)
This is no shade to the actors by the way, I love them all.

An Evergreen Love: Why This Drama Quietly Stole My Heart
I honestly did not know how to start this review, because I am completely obsessed with this drama. This is the best idol drama I have watched in recent times. I usually find many flaws when watching dramas—plot holes, forced conflicts, illogical character choices—but this time, I could not even bring myself to look for mistakes. From the very first episode to the latest one, the story kept me fully hooked. I genuinely feel lucky that I ended 2025 with this drama and started 2026 with it. It feels like a gift. Before writing this review, I spent a long time thinking about why this drama affected me so deeply. And eventually, I found my answers.
The Male Lead: When Casting Becomes Perfection 🌿
The biggest reason for my obsession is the male lead. Dramas are full of handsome actors, but what truly matters is how well an actor’s appearance, aura, and inner temperament match the character. Here, SWL does not just play Lin Yusen—he becomes him.
Lin Yusen is portrayed as the ideal man many women admire: intelligent, wealthy, accomplished, and emotionally grounded. An elite neurosurgeon with a PhD before the age of 27—this alone already makes the character extraordinary. As a sapiosexual, this aspect absolutely drives me crazy. But beyond his résumé, what captivates me is his personality: his restraint, his decency, his calm confidence, and his precise, gentle way of speaking. He is an evergreen rainforest—quietly rich, deeply layered, and endlessly comforting.
SWL’s acting makes all of this believable. His expressions are controlled but expressive, his masculinity is composed rather than aggressive, and his emotional delivery is subtle yet powerful. Lin Yusen’s pursuit of love is respectful, patient, and sincere—and SWL matches these traits so perfectly that I truly have no words.
Equal Social Standing: A Relationship That Feels Real 💼🤍
One thing I deeply appreciated is that both main characters come from the same social strata. This is rare in idol dramas, which often rely on exaggerated class gaps. Personally, I prefer relationships where both leads understand each other’s world naturally.
Because Lin Yusen and Xi Guang share similar educational backgrounds, values, and social experiences, they do not need to “adjust” themselves to fit each other. Their love grows in a space of mutual understanding, comfort, and emotional safety. This equality allows the romance to feel mature, grounded, and genuinely sweet, rather than dramatic for the sake of drama.
Healthy Love and Professional Boundaries 🌱
Another standout strength of this drama is how it handles workplace dynamics and romance. Lin Yusen is technically Xi Guang’s superior, yet neither of them confuses professional responsibilities with personal feelings. Their relationship never infringes on individual freedom, ambition, or integrity.
This portrayal of a high-quality, healthy romantic relationship is refreshing. It shows love that supports growth rather than limits it. Watching two competent adults fall in love without sacrificing professionalism felt both comforting and inspiring.
Xi Guang’s Emotional Journey: Pain, Growth, and Healing 💔➡️💖
Xi Guang’s emotional arc resonated with me on a deeply personal level. Her feelings and confession toward the second male lead reminded me of a situation I experienced about a year ago. That familiarity made her pain feel painfully real.
I loved how the drama portrayed her transformation. She begins as a lively, confident, warm, and friendly girl. After rejection, she becomes quieter and more reserved—not exaggeratedly broken, but realistically wounded. And most importantly, she does not stay there. She heals, regains herself, and learns how to love again.
Her acceptance of Lin Yusen’s love feels earned, gentle, and sincere. Watching her grow back into herself—and then choose happiness—was incredibly satisfying.
Slow-Burning Romance Done Right 🔥
I personally love slow-burn romances, especially those with fewer intimate scenes and more emotional buildup. This drama fits my taste perfectly.
Although Lin Yusen falls in love early, the relationship develops gradually. When he confesses, Xi Guang is still emotionally confused. Instead of pushing her, he waits. He respects her pace. He gives her space while staying emotionally present.
That patience—the quiet companionship, the friendly collaboration, the unspoken care—is what makes their romance so beautiful. This is not loud love. It is steady, warm, and deeply reassuring.
Writing Quality: Thoughtful, Layered, and Consistent ✍️
The story writing deserves serious praise. What initially feels “slow” later reveals itself as careful groundwork. The script is full of long-term foreshadowing, emotional logic, and consistent character behavior.
Many narrative threads are planted early and only fully pay off much later, which makes rewatching incredibly rewarding. Lin Yusen’s behavior, which may seem cold or confusing at first, becomes completely understandable once the truth is revealed. This level of narrative discipline is rare in idol dramas.
The drama does not rush emotions or rely on cheap misunderstandings. Instead, it trusts the audience to observe, feel, and connect.
Acting and Production Quality 🎬
The acting across the board is restrained and natural, especially from the leads. SWL’s performance stands out for its emotional precision, while the female lead delivers vulnerability and strength with equal grace.
Production-wise, the drama is clean, polished, and visually pleasing. The workplace settings feel realistic, the pacing is intentional, and the overall tone remains consistent. Nothing feels sloppy or careless.
And surprisingly, the OSTs left a strong impression on me. I usually do not pay much attention to soundtracks, but here, the music blended beautifully with the emotional atmosphere and elevated key scenes.
The Second Male Lead: My Only Complaint 😤
If I had to name the worst part of the drama, it would be the second male lead. He was, without exaggeration, the most annoying SML of 2025. Emotionally immature, unable to communicate properly, and constantly hurting the person he claimed to love—he represents everything that fails in relationships.
While his storyline has its own bittersweet charm, I firmly believe that someone who cannot speak honestly or take responsibility will never truly “get the girl.”
Final Thoughts: Why I Love This Drama 🌞
This drama is not just about romance—it is about growth, respect, patience, and emotionally mature love. It is slow, but never empty. Sweet, but never shallow. Idealized, yet grounded in reality.
I truly, genuinely love this drama. And if you are willing to watch patiently, I believe you might understand why it touched me so deeply.
Strongly recommended. 💛

This drama has a Bad Ending - Not Sad but Everything Else was Nice
The story was illogical. Don’t get me started on the plot holes! I liked the idea of the first time loop. It wasn’t the cliché reincarnation or erased-memories trope. But the OG life also being a time loop? No. That idea was senseless. They should have pulled a 'Till the End of the Moon 'there, like Sang Jiu’s story.Bing Zhu killing off the most powerful demons like bed bugs—were they a joke to the storyline? Xing Mu dying in that scenario, and then Bing Zhu comes along and says, “Sorry bro, my bad, I’ll repent for it.” Really? The villains were so weak, while the other side was shown as extremely powerful—the Emperor, Bing Zhu, Hei Wui. Hei Wui had so much potential in the beginning, but even he became a joke halfway through.
And the ending. Oh, the ending. She goes into the loop again just to relive the memories. That’s when I understood—we were the joke. Did I get closure, even though everyone conveniently moved on in the last 10 minutes? HELL NO.
The OST was nice. It suited the drama very well, but they could have used all the songs more equally. They barely used the others compared to the title track.
All the actors and their costumes were beautiful. Even the minute details were well done. The Valley was beautiful. The human world was beautiful.
Their romance was also cute. It wasn’t very burning or steamy; it gave innocent, first-love vibes. There was no confession per se—they were already an unspoken couple. There were no unnecessary misunderstandings or a green-tea female lead following the ML around calling “gegegege” like a turkey.
Overall, it’s an 8/10 from my side—mainly for the pretty ML, FL, the other actors, the sets, and maybe the OST.

Don't waste your time
If they had allowed a resolution to the love story and return from the trauma I would have given this a better rating. This drama's ending of ambiguity was horrible. I know life isn't fair, but this ending is the most tragic unfairness I've seen in a long time. I wish I'd never invested time in watching this. Was this review helpful to you?
Might be the worst thing I've ever watched
The history is just terrible, the acting horrible and at the end it didn't even feel like a BL. The fact that Hero was questioning himself if he liked Si Ren 4 days after his GIRLFRIEND died is such an asshole move, I don't care if in the end it turned out he didn't like her. IN FACT, it just makes everything WORSE. Why are you dating, deceiving and playing with someone's feelings when you don't even like them? Who the f@ck thought that was okay? I wish I could give this 0 stars. I hope the other histories aren't as bad as this one, because that's far from what I was expecting! Was this review helpful to you?
This kept me engaged till I finished. Every second worth it
Cannot believe this series didn't made enough noise. One of the best murder mystery thriller I have seen with seasoned actors and a very well done direction. What a great plot with what an unexpected ending. Every turn of episode had it's own twist. Everytime you think someone is the k1ller it turns out they aren't. What an immersive storyline. I love how each character had their own background story to bring to the plate. None of the character felt soul-less or just there. Everyone had a purpose. It showcased different lives in different light and how there is always beyond what we see in someone.
Cinematography was amazing. great camera work. Loved the direction and how the significant scenes were repeated but each time unraveling the mystery.
As expected from amazing cast, amazing acting. I knew Pim, Punpun, Esther and Na and Phi Gap. The rest were new faces to me but everyone's acting shined.
A highly recommended series with a well made plot yet so underrated. Definitely worth the time.
