Lee jun ho's charisma carried this drama high.
I watched 3 times this drama. It is still cappable to hurt so much. The red sleeve is really underrated for me. It deserve more recognition and It should have popular more. Lee se young and lee junho acting was top notch that makes everyone watch one scene over and over again. When i heard that this drama based on real life story makes me more sad and pain. The way junho is portrayed as a king. I can't explain it from my words. He really deserves here Oscar award. I actually didn't like some small actors acting as a king. That i can't even imagine them as kings. They haven't the imposing presence as a king. But here lee junho had totally insane charisma and grandeur as a king. I hope i can see him in another sageuk drama as a king once in my life. When he is happy, when he is pissed off ,when he is hurt and everytime he has whole language of his acting. This drama suits him so much. Especially i liked when he smiles so widely makes him cute.🤭
Lee se young's acting was also top notch. She acted so well that i can't imagine another actress for the drama.
I like how the drama started but i hurt how it ended. Cinematography was soo good to see. I really liked this drama calm vibe. Osts and soundtracks was also suits and I liked it very much.
Now i can't stop this drama rewatching. I get so much pain even that i can't endure. But I don't know why i fallen for this drama so much that i had to rewatch many times. Hope all can watch bravely even it hurts so much😩😂

Even better sequel
Not exactly a sequel, it's an ad but this is a sequel to the story. It also gives us a closure so if you watched the first part you must watch this one because it gives you the HE, instead of leaving everything as it is in the first part.
Now this has more story to it than the first, I believe it's even sweeter, the first was funnier but both are extremely cute, I LOVE Singto and Krist, and their Pickering is just a pleasure to watch.
The sudden product ad between the scenes cracks me up every time because although I know it's an advertisement short movie, I don't expect the scene and their performance is just too adorable!!
I don't know, whatever!! I just love them so much 😂😂 Krist is super cute here and Singto too ... Can I eat them? They are so adorable 🥰
Highly recommended of course.

So sweet
This is a short movie ad for a beauty product so there isn't any big story or anything, it's just an ad.Be that as it may, I can't get enough of it, Krist is super cute and adorable, apparently this is supposed to be sad or whatever because you know, one of them is already dead and became a ghost , but Singto and Krist gave me enough cuteness to make me smile the whole time without feeling sad.
Krist is one of the funniest people ever, and I believe he is the only person who can push all Singto's buttons and be adorable about it.
I wish their friendship lasts forever in the industry, they are one of my utmost fav.
Now back to the review, there isn't much to say except you will have a good laugh watching these two and you will be left feeling warm inside.

The most suspenseful drama of 2025!
This drama was a crazy ride!!!! The story and visuals are definitely not for the weak! The plot was great apart from a few things where the protagonists could have done it a bit more differently. But nothing too serious. It was still a great drama. The two female protagonists were just amazing!!! And the Chinese-Korean man was one of the most interesting non-romantic male leads.
This is one of those violent dramas that have absolutely no romance in it. If you are in the mood for sth like this I can recommend this drama!

A Fantasy Ride
“Moonlit Reunion”? I must have blinked, because I didn’t see any touching reunion beneath the moon. Maybe it’s happening in a deleted scene somewhere! “Return of Midnight” may be the better literal echo of the Chinese title 子夜归, but “Return of the Phantom” arguably captures the soul of this drama far better—mysterious, otherworldly, and just a little tragic. As is sometimes the case, the synopsis on kisskh does the drama no favors. It reads like a hand-me-down blurb lifted straight from the original novel, while the adaptation walks a different, more whimsical path.
At the heart of the story is Wu Zhen, daughter of Duke Wu, sister to the Empress, and one of the most sought-after beauties of Changan’s aristocracy. Admirers line up for a chance at her hand, but she delights in making fun of and embarrassing them. Beneath her noble grace lies a shadow. As a child, she disappeared in a great fire that engulfed the capital; when she resurfaced, she was no longer quite the same. Bolder. Wilder. And harboring a secret that would shock the empire: she is half human, half demon—marked by what she encountered that night. Even more startling, she is the elusive leader of the Demon City.
Enter Mei Zhu Yu, the drama’s handsome and principled investigator from the Mystical Investigation Bureau. He, too, bears hidden truths. Trained as a celestial master, demon-slaying is not just his duty but his destiny. Driven by the belief that demons from the Demon City murdered his father through the great fire, he obsessively hunts for the city’s location, determined to wipe it out.
Their paths collide, sparks fly, and attraction simmers. But can love bloom between hunter and hunted? Are they doomed as star-crossed enemies, or will fate grant them a different ending than the bloodshed they both expect?
As light entertainment, the drama succeeds. It’s the kind of story that fills a lazy weekend with fantasy and whispered romance. Literary depth? Not much. Emotional nuance? Often shallow. Originality? Mostly cliche. Demon makeup? Think more Saturday morning cartoon than shadowy mythology.
Yet the production redeems itself in surprising ways. The costumes are gorgeous, the CGI delightful, and the soundtrack—gentle, wistful, and sentimental—wraps the narrative in the right mood, and good-looking key leads that keeps the drama afloat. And despite some flaws, the story does toss in a few intriguing twists that keep you watching.
So is it worth your time? As a drama, it’s charming enough and carries its own modest merits. Whether that’s sufficient for you is a choice only you can make.

What a useless husband…
Finished the movie and my first thought was - this would have a different ending with a better husband. Not that he was the only useless character, but his lack of fucks given was surprising. The movie is almost 2 hours long and they do not try to get rid of the doll for more than half of it. The denial that something shady is happening reaches new heights. The doll be running in front of them, climbing on their backs and we get “I must have imagined it”, baby girl it’s not the case of “seeing movement in the corner of the eye”, this doll was less sneaky than Annabelle. Even Chucky was better at pretending to be a normal doll.
The professionals in the movie were also of questionable quality - the psychiatrist ignoring clear signs of panic and delusion, the police that does nothing except getting in trouble, the spiritual experts that fail over and over again.
All that said, it was still such a good and fun movie. From the opening scenes I thought it would lead more towards serious psychological drama, but it quickly took a u-turn into wacky supernatural madness. Some scenes gave me goosebumps and the “nope, that’s it, I’d be out of this situation yesterday”, some scenes were borderline funny almost bringing me to tears.
If we go by plot points, there are so many separate acts here, but the transition between them and the pacing was well done - it did not feel jumpy, they all connected smoothly.
Acting wise, the biggest props to Ikemura Aoi who played baby Mai.
For the production, I have to say they must have been drunk when they were constructing the face of the doll in the second half. Is it creepy? Yes. Is it hilarious? Also yes. The teeth… These just made me feel uncomfortable.
Overall, it’s not new, it’s not groundbreaking, but it does a good job of delivering the obvious story in an engaging way.

For pple who compare this with webton! True psychopath was junseo!
Opinion of sb wise :I honestly think this show was fundamentally telling a different story from what we expected in episode 1 and what’s in the manhwa. Jun-seo never really saw or understood Ah-jin. That “documentary” misrepresented her completely and was clearly designed to ruin her.. but not so she couldn’t hurt people anymore. That’s just what he claimed. Because if that was his interest, he could go to the cops so she could face justice for her actual crimes. But he didn’t do that. Instead, he wanted to make her dependent on him so he could be the one to control her, which is what he explicitly said in the car. He viewed it as him saving her but that was him lying to himself.
And also, does it even make any sense that he decided to go that far because of what Jae-ho did? He knew it was Jae-ho’s conscious decision and the show goes out of its way to make it clear he wasn’t coerced. And after being married, what did Ah-jin actually do wrong that wasn’t her trying to protect herself from someone who was determined to break her? Jun-seo didn’t do it for any noble reason; he did that because he wanted to be the one to control Ah-jin, as he himself admitted.
And when you think about it- isn’t he the true sociopath of the story? And I mean that just in terms of the clinical definition and not their actions. But isn’t he the one who couldn’t genuinely engage with Ah-Jin and make her laugh like Jae-oh did? Who couldn’t connect with Re-na (versus Ah-jin who actually did connect with In-gang)? When did you ever see him genuinely smile? Over the course of the show, Ah-jin showed more emotions than he did for sure.
And then there’s the part where we as the audience realize that this whole framing of Ah-jin as a sociopath is something that Jun-seo himself created from the documentary that was shown at the beginning of the series. It’s not actually based in fact or from any actual direct evaluation by a psychologist.
Now did Ah-jin do many terrible things that she should be held accountable for? Yes without a doubt. But I think any inconsistencies in the story or characters were very much intentional because Jun-seo, who was the source of much of our understanding of her, is an unreliable narrator who never truly saw her. so with that in mind, the ending blew me away and I thought this show was excellent. but I think if I’d read the manhwa first, I would have had a hard time because it seems the stories are very very different.

Loved it
It's a very simple story, a guy dealing with devastating news and he gets support from his "fan" hoobae who think of him as his idol.Pretty simple concept and that's exactly what we got, bear in mind that it's not exclusively a BL nor a romance as written here, it's a simple high school story, so don't expect too much because you won't find anything.
What I like about it is the calm atmosphere, the idea of another person supporting you and your dreams in the dark yet only comes out when you need them, this isn't a love story per se but I believe that's the sweetest thing a fan can do to his "Idol".
The two guys are cute, I want to see them in a more proper dramas with bigger character, so I'll be waiting for that to happen.
Overall sweet lovely short movie.

Uneven Story. Great Visuals, but Heavy on CGI. Good Actors Underutilized, Except for Chang Huasen.
WATCH THIS IF:--You enjoyed the donghua (anime) version of the same story called "Tale of Dark River". From what I hear, Blood River tracks pretty closely to what happens in the donghua, at least for the first maybe 10 episodes. BR also has a very anime look to it.
--You love CGI-dependent fight scenes. Many of the fights require CGI to make, for instance, building-height demons fight each other. Not my thing, but no judgment if you love this.
--You love dramas full of pretty people. This is a very pretty cast, the men and the women.
--You're an enormous Gong Jun fan who's happy just to see him onscreen doing anything. No shame in that!
--You're open to being wowed by Chuang Huasen in a "bad guy" role that I hope makes him a star. His is the most interesting, charismatic, emotionally complex performance in BR. I might've stopped watching without him.
--You're willing to suffer through several rough or "suboptimal" episodes early on to get to greener pastures in the middle and a bigger payoff at the end.
DO NOT WATCH THIS IF:
--You're hoping to see GJ in top acting form. WoH remains his best performance so far, by far.
--You're watching for Peng Xiaoran, who has very little screentime in an underwritten role (what a waste).
--You need a consistently strong story from beginning to end.
--You can't watch things that are very dark visually. This didn't bother me, and it does gets brighter about a third to half-way through, but some people have trouble seeing what's going on or enjoying such dark/dim visuals.
--You are a Blood of Youth purist who needs Blood River to line up 100% (I haven't seen BoY yet, but from what I hear, BoY and BR mostly line up, but some stuff in BR suggests things should have turned out differently in BoY).
--You want a strong ML/FL romance (zero chemistry, painful to watch).
--You're hoping for a strong BL romance. The two MLs have way more chemistry than the ML & FL, and this has BL overtones throughout, but I wouldn't call this a BL really.
--You'd be too frustrated by having 100 characters you can't keep track of (it gets better maybe halfway).
MY REACTIONS:
I loved Gong Jun in Word of Honor and hoped in Blood River he'd prove that WoH wasn't a fluke. That didn't happen.
Instead, he plays everything with no emotion (except at the very, very end). As a viewer, I can't emotionally connect with and care about a character if they have no emotions. Bad choice for the star and main attraction.
The first third of the series (maybe 9-10 episodes) was too much of everything for me. Too big, too fast, too crowded, too explicit, too pretty. Fight scenes fly by. A million characters are introduced and almost as many forgotten. The CGI budget for the 1st few episodes seems larger than the GDP of some small nations. I like beautiful people, but it's odd to have an assassin organization where everyone looks scouted by a modeling agency.
What bothered me most though in the first third of BR was the weak writing. Cramming too much setup into too few episodes leaves no time for things to unfold naturally, and I hate it when characters explain things in forced ways just to get the info out. I almost abandoned BR then, but Su Changhe (played by Chang Huasen) had me hooked, so I kept going.
In the middle third, things slow to what I consider a normal pace. New characters slow to a relative trickle, so you're finally following along. Even before then, fight scenes rely less on CGI and display more of each characters' fighting skills, which I prefer. You also get more backstory so you understand things better.
Fast forward to the last few episodes. Surprisingly, I'd grown pretty attached to some of the main characters and even some minor ones I didn't notice or like early on. I even cried at one scene! Part of that was I'd invested so much time watching that I ended up invested in some of the characters too. But also, the struggle of these characters made more sense by the end.
Looking back, the premise of the series was a good one. I'm glad I didn't abandon BR, though I don't think I'd rewatch the whole series, just specific scenes I like. I do wish they'd put less time/money into visuals/special effects and more into the writing, pacing, and character development. Plus, they should've done a better job directing GJ!
By shifting their focus to storytelling essentials, this could have been a 9-star rating, especially with so much going for them with a solid cast, big budget, and the original novel author as the screenwriter.

Started off average but got better later
Well parallel universe+slow burn is just not my type. I like some spice, some drama, some romance with a dash of pain etc😆. But this drama talks more about his anxiety problems, parallel universe and communication skills for the 1st few eps. I know its slow burn but i felt the story pace was also slowAnyways lets go episode by episode
Ep1: damn it was dark (not story but the lighting 🤭) i barely could see anything. To top that i was kinda confused idk if it was just me though. The whole ep was just about kano and his struggles
Ep2: kano moves to parallel universe and the difference between both.. still barely any hint of romance
Ep3: Now we see some light spark of jealousy and from what i see Ookami has the potential to become a little devil🤭🤭 but i read spoilers that he would return to real world in ep 5 so i think that will happen.
Ep4: I will stop spoiling here cz it got better starting this episode. The pacing issue is fixed and the plot has become more interesting and we're seeing more focus on romance along with kano's problems
I feel the drama would do much better with proper pacing and more episode cz rn what i see is there are lot of scenes talking about kano and his problems than kano x ookami... their story is like going on the sidelines. Well I'm gonna finish it anyways cz its not bad but I'd not re-watch it
Change of opinion after ep 5: i invalidate the above paragraph 🤭🤭 I'll probably rewatch this one and yes kano and ookami plot gets its attention so YAY!!! WATCH IT. LITERALLY DON'T JUST SKIP IT CZ OF THE INITIAL EPISODES
Hehe the ending was perfect. Damn never expected ogami to turn bad boy once he got kano's consent 🤭🤭

Very heartwarming
Firstly lets all stand up for the amazing casting they did with this show.. literally everyone suits their characters so well I DEFINITELY didnt expect won taemin and son hyunwoo to be here like???? but as much as i love how fun this show is i have to admit how stressful i was while watching the fl push and pull over and over towards the ml.. it just keeps going until the very final episode. I love geurin and seonho relationship so much however for taeseon and sera and black with khaki there are so much potential i'm especially sad for black and khaki bc i shipped them so bad... ANYWAY very good giddy show good osts too it's sad that it should end because every character truly grows on me. I waited for this show to air since bomin was first announced to star in it like years ago I am so happy this show got the fame it deservesWas this review helpful to you?

KYJ Acting and Ending
Very very good series and acting of you jung is amazing😍😍She is surely a big thing in korean industry. In one thing I am not satisfied it should be available in more languages like english and hindi then only this much type of good series can be seen by whole world.10 stars from me for you jung's expressions and best acting in the world. She is now making me fond of her. After seeing the whole series the last episode marks an impression on me,wasn't expecting that Jun Seo will do this with her and little bit dissatisfied with the end she should end up with someone junseo or jaeoh but a message is portrayed in the whole series from the start that ahjin type people will always remain alone like in the end.But very appreciable work of KYJ,if I will rewatch this series that will be due to KYJ.Its my pleasure to watch this series of KYJ with this type of Acting Its not a pice of cake for anybody to do Baek Ah Jin.I am little bit sad for her that she remain alone in the end even people don't get it that she feels sad for grandmother and Jaeoh both ,not sure about Junseo. But she has emotions😭.

Worth watching
I have to admit that I been intrigued by each episode. The costume attire is tremendously beautiful. Zhong Lin and Xiao Qiao was goals for me. They make this series really good. Liu Yu Ning is one of the best actors of mainland China and he makes his character for each film he plays in. Watching this from beginning to end, lots of crying and lots of laughter.. I teared up so much but this is worth it.. I’ll definitely say this is one of my favorites. Was this review helpful to you?
A breath of fresh air
The Time That Remains feels like a breath of fresh air for Filipino cinema - a slow, haunting mix of folklore, gothic romance, and visual poetry. Instead of going for cheap scares or loud horror beats, the film leans into atmosphere and emotion. It takes the aswang myth and treats it with sincerity, giving it depth, history, and a sense of tragic humanity. At its core is the love between Lilia and Matias - messy, painful, and unbelievably tender. Their relationship feels less like a standard romance and more like two wounded souls choosing each other despite everything: time, faith, violence, and the ugliness of the world. The film never shies away from the brutality Lilia endures, and those scenes hurt because they’re meant to. They show how much she’s suffered, yet how fiercely she’s still capable of loving. Matias, with all his centuries and mysteries, meets her with devotion that borders on mythic. Their love isn’t about “forever” - it’s about the moments they save each other, even knowing those moments can’t last.
Visually, the movie is stunning. Every frame feels intentional: shadow-heavy, quiet, almost sacred. The sound design, the lighting, the stillness - it all creates a hypnotic rhythm that makes the story feel both intimate and otherworldly.
If anything, you end the movie wishing it had even more time to explore its themes - immortality, guilt, memory, the weight of love. But even as it is, The Time That Remains stands out as one of the most visually striking and emotionally resonant Filipino films in recent years. It proves that our folklore can be more than horror fodder - it can be the foundation for a love story that lingers long after the credits roll.
