Revenge, Violence and Trauma; the trio that sank this wicked ship!

A wicked game that started with a thrilling pace, later ruined its own game by repetitive trauma-porn.

As a fan of DaouOffroad, I had my faith in them, and they didn't disappoint. But I am HELLA disappointed with how the storyline was aligned. It was faulty, full of nonsense violence and hate.

Hear me out, I inhale red flags like I need oxygen, but this was beyond toxic and infuriating. I cannot fathom how it turned into this mess. The three step-siblings are THE WORST. I haven't seen such trashy characters. Okay, I understand that they were exposed to hate and negativity throughout their lives, but that doesn't mean I SHOULD SUFFER IN HELL PIT OF NEGATIVITY LIKE THIS!?
Where's my redemption arc? No one is going to jail? What about Than proving his innocence?

*sigh*

Overall, watch it if you want your brain to fry like bacon, because it'll squeeze your last brain juices as it ends. Don't tell me I didn't warn you.

P.S: A disclaimer from @Jelena Petrovic to you guys "If I had paid any money to watch this, I'd demand it back" 🤣

A solid core in a silly package

The first time I watched My Stubborn I thought it was kind of plot-less and not very good. I was distracted by all of the extended NC scenes and the not-so-polished aspects of the show - Penny and Girl Jun's weird office siren outfits, Sorn's ridiculous penciled on depression beard, Tai and Champ's gross anti-chemistry, and the distracting way Oat pouts his lips when he's acting stubborn/young/mad.

And yet... I kept coming back to this show. It's one of my most rewatched shows and it's not (only) because of how NC heavy it is. This is a show that really rewards a rewatch, especially if you fast-forward past the superfluous side-couple plots. As I rewatch the show, the actual plot and Boat and Oat's skill as actors rise to the surface.

Spoiler Alert:
One of my favorite scenes that demonstrates the strong points of this show is Sorn coming to find Jun in the stairwell after he's humiliated him with a stupid prank. The build up to the scene is layered - the night before, Sorn had driven Jun and Penny to the mall. Jun thinks that Sorn and Penny are still together and pulls away from Sorn. Sorn is angry and rude about Jun meeting up with Piang. The next morning Sorn pranks Jun, apparently to punish him for hanging out with Piang. As a result of the prank, Jun gets reprimanded by the boss.

From Jun's perspective, Sorn is
a) constantly trying to seduce him
b) still sleeping with his maybe girlfriend
c) insisting Jun doesn't sleep with anyone else and
d) intentionally getting him in trouble at work.

Jun has started falling for Sorn but is aware that Sorn is unwilling/unable to offer any commitment or even acknowledgment of real feeling and Jun clearly kind of hates himself for not being able to resist Sorn's constant advances. The prank is the last straw and Jun breaks down at work. The moment when Sorn comes to find him in the stairwell is so well done. Sorn realizes he's gone too far and that his actions are impacting Jun much more intensely than Jun has previously let on. Sorn has fucked things up beyond an easy apology and is still unwilling/unable to admit that he cares about Jun and wants a relationship with him, which is probably the only thing that could fix things at this point. He looks so lost and bewildered sitting next to Jun - it feels real, exactly like real life 20-something relationship drama.

The show is full of these well-written, well-acted, nuanced little moments, which is what keeps me coming back to rewatch it. If you've dismissed this show as a horny mess, I recommend giving it another try.

One word, immature

I’m only halfway through Unchained Love, and honestly, I’m hoping it gets better because right now I’m pushing through simply because I have nothing else lined up to watch. I usually enjoy Dylan Wang’s dramas—he’s the best part of this one and he really carries every scene he’s in—but the writing for the other characters, especially the female characters, is rough.

The biggest issue for me is how unrealistically dumb they’re written. It’s that same old trope where the female lead constantly gets herself into trouble through her own arrogance, impulsiveness, or flat-out lack of awareness, and then the male lead has to swoop in and save her. I get that dramas aren’t supposed to be hyper-realistic, but her level of arrogance and recklessness is so over the top it pulls me out of the story. And her maid? Don’t even get me started—her character isn’t the funny, lovable kind of clueless; she’s the frustrating, eye-rolling kind.

I only gave this drama a chance because so many reviews hyped it up, but honestly, those reviews were misleading. Some of the plot choices are just bizarre. No imperial consort would be allowed to casually live with some random man, “eunuch” or not, and the way she behaves—as if she actually has choices or authority in front of the emperor—is just unrealistic to the point of irritating.

At this point, I’ll probably finish it just to see how it wraps up, but so far it’s nowhere near as good as people made it sound.

I absolutely adored this drama. It genuinely surprised me—in the best way—because it never felt like one of those rushed short dramas. Instead, it played out like a beautifully crafted, quiet film with steady pacing, thoughtful storytelling, and two leads who understood their characters perfectly.

What makes this drama stand out is how normal and real everything feels. No over-the-top CEO clichés, no cartoonishly toxic families, no dramatic misunderstandings every five minutes. Just two intelligent, grounded adults slowly—and naturally—falling in love. The ML has a good job without being a 22-year-old billionaire, the FL is sweet, strong, and real, and the show treats her hearing aid with respect, without turning it into a plot device. It’s simply part of her, and that inclusion felt beautifully done.

The physical intimacy was handled with softness and maturity, growing out of trust rather than fanservice. In a world where people romanticize emotional detachment and mock vulnerability, their relationship felt healing. They’re each other’s firsts—not in a childish way, but in a heartfelt “your feelings matter to me” way. When the FL admitted she fell first, the ML didn’t turn it into power; he cherished it. Their bond is gentle, tender, and emotionally honest.

The performances were truly lovely. Guo Yuxin and Huang Haowen have magnetic chemistry—the kind that doesn’t need heavy tropes to sell the romance. Their confession scene moved me to tears; it felt raw, pure, and full of sincerity. Even the families were wonderful—supportive, warm, non-toxic—creating a rare safe space that made the romance shine even more.

This is such a sweet, healing gem of a drama. Simple, sincere, beautifully executed, and full of emotional warmth. I’m still thinking about it, long after finishing it.

Haha, Zombies with Emotions & Memories!? Huh.

Being a fan of Horror Fiction, Survival n Zombie, I started watching this drama with loads of Excitement, esply when the drama is full of known Cast.

The Story is Interesting n Direction is Good.
The Story Narration showing the Past n Present, is Very Good.

First three eps are lil slow n boring but last 4 eps are Very Interesting.
Overall, Pacing could be better.

The Mystery of the Zombies, their behaviour n pattern analysis of the surviving group is Cool.

Haha, these Zombies are different from the usual ones shown in other dramas -- these have Emotions n Memories!! 😂

Zombie Make-up is Very Good.

**** ACTORS :
Good to see all known faces (except 1,2) in one drama :)
Esply our mom Li from "To Sir, with love" (actress Pock) here, hehe.

The actors as Zombies acted really well.

OST -- Opening theme is very Good :)

**** RATING:
My initial rating is 7.5 (first three eps)
but since last 4 eps are really interesting, my Overall Rating is 8.5 / 10.

Zombie lovers can give a try!

**** SPOILER ****
What is that Ending!? 😮
Expected at the beginning of the finale ep itself that they won't conclude this story in 7 eps🤦🏻‍♀️
Oh God! Need to wait for S2 now🤷🏻‍♀️

If they give us S2, this Ending is Ok.
Else, should have concluded this story within this seasn itself.
This drama can be wrapped up well in 7 eps with a good closure to the story.

Punk isn't a style, it's a way of living!

Punk's Triangle is a refreshing twist to a generic way of creating cookie-cutter bl.

Honestly, I do not have any idea about punk fashion style, so my knowledge of punk was limited to music. I did not expect to get this exposure from a drama. The storyline was nice, exciting and bingeable. The characters, Enaga/AE and Chiaki's chemistry was adorable. But I did find it highly predictable. It might be my personal issue that I expected it to hit me in a certain way, but it didn't, so I was left a bit disappointed. It was very basic at the end, nothing stood out for me.

Overall, it was a one time watch. I don't expect myself to rewatch it again.

beautiful and sad at the same time

180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us is a beautifully crafted series that blends emotional storytelling with a strong sense of place, culture, and identity. It’s a quiet, introspective series that focuses more on feelings than flashy drama and that’s exactly what makes it powerful.

This series explores the relationship between a mother and her teenage son in the aftermath of a painful family separation. It uses the idea of “180 degrees” as a metaphor for the different directions people take in life and how perspectives can completely shift depending on where you stand.

The storytelling is gentle but emotionally rich. The cinematography is stunning every frame feels like a painting, highlighting the mountains, the river, and the natural beauty of Northern Thailand. These visuals aren’t just decoration; they reflect the characters’ inner struggles and the emotional distance between them.

The performances are subtle yet heartfelt. The mother’s quiet sorrow and the son’s confusion and longing create a realistic tension that many viewers can relate to. The film doesn’t rush its slow pace allows you to sit with the emotions and understand the unspoken pain between them.

The themes of acceptance, identity, family expectations, and emotional healing are handled with sensitivity. It’s a series that makes you think long after it ends.

Why It Stands Out

Emotional and artistic storytelling
Deep character exploration
Gorgeous cinematography
Strong symbolism
Unique blend of personal and cultural narrative

Overall

180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us is a thoughtful, beautifully made series that resonates deeply. It’s perfect for viewers who enjoy emotional realism, symbolic storytelling, and visually poetic cinema. Not a loud series but a meaningful one.

It nearly made me went Psycho.

I love Mob Psycho. I've watched the anime, I read the manga, I even watched a bit of he stage play adaptation. It changed my outlook on life. I see myself in Mob, and seeing him trying to improve himself made me believe that I can change as well. I still struggle a lot, but it made me slightly happier. Case on point, I love the original a lot. This adaptation though...

I remember watching this adaptation and thinking that it's definitely an adaptation for sure, and then just forgot about it. Recently, I got the itch to get into Mob Psycho again, and like any normal person I rewatched this because nobody else is sane enough to watch this.

It's actually so much worse than I remember...

There's a lot of problems with this show, from the cinematography, the editing, the tone (it's so edgy for some reason), at least the music is ok i guess (far cry from the anime's iconic ost though), but imo the worst thing about it is the changes to the story.

Of course, changing some stuff isn't inheretly bad. I even like some of the alterations they made, like reducing the amount of side characters (the anime/manga had TONS of them) and making the ones that remain pop up more. I found this iteration of Tome pretty fun! It's just... the writer this does NOT understand the point of the original story AT ALL.

Let's compare them by the prologue. The manga simply explained what espers are with slightly menacing atmosphere before straight up jumping into Reigen's absurdity. The anime added another prologue before that with Mob fighting until he hit 100%. Both did it well in my opinion. The manga immediately set the tone, the anime added some intrigue regarding the whole 100% thing. In here, we see... psychics beating up each other. It's really edgy for some reason... the adaptation isn't even that edgy! ...unless you count overabundance of fake blood as being edgy.

Speaking of 100%, it didn't really explain what it is here. In the manga & anime, the percentage is referred to as "progress toward Mob's explosion". It's not clear what it does initially, but you could guess from the context clues. This adaptation doesn't even bother ATTEMPTING to explain that, instead replacing it with a simple "Mob x%". I wonder how many people who only watched this adaptation understand what the explosion is supposed to be lol.

There's also the charaters. Most of them aren't even close to the original character! They're changed so much, to the point they're just... different. Mob came off as a creep, Tsubomi didn't even seem like the "ideal" girl that everyone could fell in love with, Ritsu is... way too kind. Again, changes like that could be fun! But because they don't understand the story, it ended up ruining the story instead.

A prime example of this is everyone's favorite tumblr twink/dilf conman himself, Reigen. In the original, he lied a lot. But ocassionally, we see another side to him. I mean, we still see that here... but they leaned to the "funny conman" aspect so much so that you couldn't help but wonder what made Mob stick around for so long. The worst offender is the way they adapted Mob & Reigen's first meeting imo. They only changed the order of events slightly, but it made him seem like he simply wanted to take advantage of him!

On top of all that, there's a LOT of writing inconsistencies that will make you spin your head around. The original is clear about its messages, but this adaptation feel... empty. It's saying the same stuff as the manga/anime, but since they twisted the story so much, by the end of it, it just.. doesn't hit at all. You can even say emotional impact 0%. You can see it by how other reviews saying it doesn't have anything substantial in it.

There's a lot more I could yap about, but I don't want to be here forever, nor I'm a good reviewer...
TLDR: on top of being mid, the writer misunderstood the story, completely ruining the message of the show. Read the manga or watch the anime instead so that you can properly appreciate the cutest baby that is Mob.

really a miracle..

“The Miracle of Teddy Bear” is a beautifully emotional BL drama that blends fantasy, romance, and healing.

The story of Nut and Tofu, a man and his childhood teddy bear who magically turns human creates a unique love tale filled with warmth and deep meaning. The series explores family wounds, forgiveness, and self-acceptance with tenderness, while still delivering cute, heart-melting moments between the leads. With strong acting, touching storytelling, and a magical atmosphere.

it’s a BL that stays in your heart long after you finish it.

I had high hopes

The starting was little bit tacky and lacking. I've never written a review in my life. I solely made this account today to write this review after finishing episode 7. I sat through whatever this drama was trying to be. Trauma? Romance? College life? Separation? Second chances? Asshole predatory professors and boyfriends who deserve to be thrown into the ocean. I didn't want to give up on the drama because trauma and reemergence of characters from said trauma (re- Sky from LITA) to me is like what a flame is to a moth. I just can't ignore it but then the end of episode happened and I was like "no" do not ask him to kiss you right now. Honestly...what was the thought process behind that? Like come on! I get it that everybody processes trauma differently but those around them are supposed to bear responsibility.

This just felt a little cheap and hollow to me. You could have had so many scene to differentiate Saint from other characters-especially Warm...it was not difficult. This just was not it. And you want me to believe an assault victim isn't vigilant about their surroundings-with an intoxicated ex just around the corner. Throughout that scene I kept going "Lock the damn door!". I can overlook whatever happened after that because locking up\freezing up is the kind of response your body turns to when something like this happens again BUT you're telling me he didn't lock that damn door for whatever reasons!??

This felt a little insensitive to me.

2gether 4ever

2gether isn’t just a BL series—it’s a warm, fizzy, comfort-show experience that grabs your heart from the very first episode. With its perfect mix of romance, comedy, music, and slow-burn chemistry, it became a global sensation for a reason.

What Makes It Amazing

i. Tine & Sarawat have unmatched chemistry
Bright and Win completely own their roles. Their dynamic one flustered and sunshiney, one cool and secretly soft creates a romance that feels natural, sweet, and unbelievably addictive.

ii. The fake-dating trope done RIGHT
The storyline is simple but delivered with so much heart. Every episode builds their feelings little by little, making every glance, smile, and moment feel meaningful. It’s the kind of slow burn that makes your chest flutter.

iii. Win Metawin as Tine = perfection
Win’s performance is adorable, expressive, and so freaking lovable. He makes Tine instantly relatable funny, dramatic, cute, and sincere.

iv. Iconic OST (“Scrubb”)
The music is not just background, it’s part of the relationship. Every Scrubb song fits the story and elevates the emotions. “Everything” and “Together” basically are Tine & Sarawat’s hearts talking.
v. Feel-good vibes through the whole series
No heavy drama, no unnecessary heartbreak just pure wholesomeness. It’s the ultimate comfort BL.

2gether is a charming, uplifting, rewatchable BL that redefined the genre worldwide. It’s sweet enough to melt you, funny enough to keep you hooked, and romantic enough to stay with you long after it ends. A true classic.

It’s surprisingly good. From start to finish.

Watching Shadow Detective from start to finish was an engaging experience that I genuinely enjoyed. What stood out the most was the drama’s focus on well developed characters and their evolving relationships, which kept me emotionally invested across all 24 episodes.

Detective Guan Cen (Wang Xingyue) and Lu Yizhen (Wu Jiayi) are central to the story, and their chemistry and mutual respect drive much of the series’ appeal. I appreciated how Lu Yizhen’s curiosity and intelligence as a young woman aspiring to be a police officer are portrayed with nuance, showing her growth from a student fascinated by detective novels to a determined investigator confronting real dangers. Guan Cen’s steady, strategic nature complements her impulsive curiosity, creating a dynamic partnership that feels both realistic and inspiring.

The series excels in balancing tension with character driven moments. Emotional depth is given to secondary characters as well, making the investigative world feel layered rather than one dimensional. The historical Shanghai setting adds a distinct atmosphere, enhancing the stakes of each case without overwhelming the viewer with exposition.

One moment that particularly resonated without spoiling too much is a confrontation between Lu Yizhen and the antagonist tied to a decades old case. The scene highlights her courage and cleverness, while also exploring the emotional toll that justice seeking can take. These moments of tension and moral complexity make the drama more than just a procedural; it’s a story about resilience, ethics, and growth.

If I had to critique, a few minor subplots could have benefited from more development, but they never detracted significantly from the overall experience.

In summary:
Shadow Detective is a compelling, character focused drama that beautifully balances suspense, emotion, and historical depth. Thoughtfully paced and rich with emotional insight, it delivers a satisfying and meaningful viewing experience. I rate it a full 10/10, and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys strong storytelling and memorable, well developed characters.

In short:
A gripping, character driven mystery with depth, heart, and standout performances absolutely worth watching.

A Chess Game Played in Blood!

"Legend of Zang Hai" is a masterfully crafted labyrinth of vengeance. It replaces the chaotic horror of fantasy witha calculated ascent from the shadows into the suffocating precision of court politics.. Watching this series feels like walking on a blade’s edge; one moment you are mesmerized by the sheer elegance of the protagonist's mind, and the next, you are frozen by the cruelty of his reality. It captures a world where a smile is more dangerous than a sword. The scarce glimpses of genuine connection are deeply touching, yet they stand powerless against the relentless, devouring tide of ambition and betrayal.

Acting/ Cast

The main leads, portrayed by Xiao Zhan and Zhang Jingyi, deliver performances that are a masterclass in silence and very convincing.

Xiao Zhan (Zang Hai) We see a man shaped by trauma, embodying the notion that to defeat a monster, one must become a shadow. What truly sets this performance apart is his voice. It adds a completely different flavor to the character—a haunting gravitas. Through his delivery, low and steady yet dripping with suppressed rage, he perfectly conveys the suffocating weight of loss and the burning, cold fire of a lifelong grudge.

The drama excels in portraying the early enemies—characters of pure, unhinged madness whose insanity made you shiver with genuine fear. However, the final antagonist pales in comparison. After facing such "monsters," the ultimate reveal felt lightweight and lacked the menacing aura of the earlier threats.

Moreover, while the leads were perfect, some casting choices defied logic. Zhou Qi simply lacked the grit and weight required for a commander. His appearance was too soft and youthful to lead an army, making his unearned authority feel comical rather than commanding.

Story

The story begins with a brutal purge, setting the stage for a meticulous game of revenge. "Legend of Zang Hai" stands out as one of the most intricate historical dramas, offering a richly textured narrative of strategy and intrigue.

However, the conclusion leaves a bitter aftertaste. It wasn't that the ending was rushed, but rather poorly executed. By trying so hard to hide the final villain to create a twist, the writers neglected to give them a believable buildup. Furthermore, the final act suffers from "Death for the sake of Death." Some characters seemed to meet their end not because the plot required it, but simply to force a tragic atmosphere. These deaths felt unnecessary and hollow, stripping the finale of the emotional impact it should have had.

Conclusion

This drama is a profound and intense viewing experience. Its complex themes and slow-burn tension will captivate you, especially the mesmerizing vocal performance of the lead. However, be prepared for a resolution that doesn’t quite match the brilliance of the start.

If you are ready for a journey that challenges your mind—even if the destination is slightly disappointing—"Legend of Zang Hai" is a ride worth taking.

What happened in episode 16 and why did they rush it?

Typhoon Family It's the kind of drama where the protagonist at first suffers or may suffer, because of a family member. And then things fall apart, he loses money and his house because of the crisis in Korea At first, the first episodes were so cool, you liked watching them weekly, after the Thailand arc when he returned to Korea. It started to go downhill, that is, the story started to focus on the Other company, that is, the Pyo family company, and the order book, which didn't really make sense I'll skip this, (I mean, I don't even know what I want to write here , but it's okay) and go to episode number 14 or which was when Fisu hits the "Pyo" boss with that thing in the head without causing a hemorrhage because why not, I thought that Fisu would have such great potential that the story would go up... and I wasn't wrong, that is, in ep 15 he made me hate him and hit him with something in the head or spit them in the coffee The soundtrack was well put 10 out of 10 I have nothing to say about the romance..basically yes Thank you for reading my comment, maybe the comment was meaningless, and probably I took too much time
