I love the Weilong and Hao Cun's tandem. They have undeniable chemistry since Just for Meeting You. This isn't a romance drama but how I wish they have one.
This drama is full of adventure and I love how Liu Hao Cun plays two characters here - one who is innocent and tough yet sweet and easily cries, and the other one is badass I-don't-care-about-you.
Hao Cun and Weilong became a couple in the drama, they're my comfort couple tbh.
P.S. This drama also casted a charmer. Don't let RuiPeng charm you in episode 17, cause I was. I watched because I saw reels about the badass Hao Cun and the handsome Wei Long, but I finished the drama crushing on Rui Peng. 😅

It's a derailment indeed.
What I love about the drama is the fact that I too was deceived like the FL. I wasn't able to predict that I got carried into what she believed to be the reality. When it got into the episode where it was revealed, I was shocked myself! And yes of course, Liu Hao Cun's and Lin Yi's acting are top notch! It's a great drama. And sweet. And badass!

I'm loving Liu Haocun!
Be Passionately in Love is a great drama! I am honestly amazed how a drama could be about a passionate love without the kissing scenes, and it still gives you butterflies! The drama is really great, you'll be hooked in the first episodes. The ML thought the FL liked him because she has her ways of getting close to him. It's so hilarious to see his reactions after realizing she wasn't actually interested about him but about his mother. Lol.
I've watched Liu Haocun's dramas for a while now and I have deep respect for her as an actress. I hope she keeps at it. Skipping kissing scenes in her dramas is really, deeply, admirable.

Recommendable Chinese Costume Drama
I love this drama because of its plot - a woman torn between protecting her father's family and supporting her husband's interest. She set her heart into doing both. There are no boring episodes in this drama, but I do have a favorite - episode 20. Manman, the FL, was married to the Lord of Wei, Wei Shao, for political reasons and not a marriage by love. By this episode, they have been through many things, and she has consistently been a help to her husband, whom she calls “My lord.”
In this episode, she vowed to Wei Shao that she would follow him with the loyalty of a subject:
“I will remain loyal to you with genuine sincerity and never leave you. I will stand by your side.”
In a world where women seek empowerment, I still find it beautiful and womanly that a woman would support her husband’s endeavors like this.
It’s a good thing that Manman was married to a man who has innate good intentions toward the people, for she, too, married him so she could protect her people.
I've been rewatching this drama because I really love how each characters are portrayed - the ML, FL, and the supporting characters especially the generals!

Is Our Love Temporary or Forever?
Without spoiling anything, I will leave it short and say that this show was extraordinarily beautiful. The soundtrack, the cinematography, the message- the beauty of it all is unforgettable. Every moment between our loved ones runs on a clock, and it that clock is controlled by fate. Is it the question of when, or the confidence in forever? The happiness shown in this series was poetic. It was obvious who Ton's true love was, but he was also given a second choice- a perfect choice- which made his true love all the more beautiful. The beauty in love, the beauty in choice, the beauty in sacrifice, and the pain of it all. Enjoy, smile, feel what you're meant to feel. Was this review helpful to you?
Should give it a chance!!
To start off, I thought this drama was great. It is typical Thai drama that has some bullies with some slap/kiss scene and kidnapping with soft hearted, but it was still good because the acting was natural and professional. and I absolutely feel bad for like the main girl main guy and the younger sister but also it’s like they just can never make up their mind what they wanna stick to and they’re all just so self hearted they get hurt but then they love each other so much words it’s like very complicated but it wasn’t bad like it’s not like I was not looking forward to that already because Thai dramas are like most likely always gonna be like this. other than that, everything is fine. I also felt really bad for the younger sister‘s friend also known as the main guys ex fiancé because she went through so much but luckily in the end she got justice away from that crazy guy who’s like low-key abusive interest once that crazy guy who’s like low-key abusive and wants so much in his way. So in conclusion, this drama was a typical and expecting drama, which is fine like I like it. I would just not go rewatch it because it was pretty slow, but it’s also nice so yes, I would give it a chance if I never seen it, but after seeing it, I’ll be like oh OK wow next. Was this review helpful to you?
Slightly disappointed....
Weak Hero Class 2 tries to pick up where its compelling predecessor left off, but unfortunately, it struggles to maintain the same sharp edge that made season 1 so captivating. While the first season delivered a gritty, emotionally charged exploration of bullying, resilience, and moral ambiguity, the sequel feels somewhat disjointed and less focused. One of the biggest disappointments is the pacing. The narrative in season 2 feels rushed, with certain character arcs either underdeveloped or abruptly concluded. This leaves viewers feeling a bit disconnected from the characters’ journeys, and the stakes don’t seem as organic or intense as they were before. The tone, which was once raw and visceral, now occasionally veers into melodrama, diluting the impact of key moments.
Acting-wise, there are some solid performances, but the chemistry among characters isn’t as compelling. The show seems to rely more on shock value and stylized violence rather than genuine emotional depth, which was the heart of season 1’s power. The direction and cinematography still have their moments, but they lack the inventive flair and emotional resonance that made the original so visually striking.
On a positive note, the series still tackles important themes bullying, social hierarchies, and moral choices and it raises awareness about these issues, albeit with a somewhat superficial touch at times. The score and production design continue to support the story, but they can’t quite elevate the overall experience to the same level as season 1.
In essence, Weak Hero Class 2 feels like a missed opportunity to deepen the narrative rather than expand it. It’s not entirely unenjoyable, but it leaves me longing for the raw, impactful storytelling of the first season. If you loved season 1 for its authenticity and emotional punch, this sequel might leave you a bit underwhelmed.

Weak Hero Class 1 is simply a masterpiece
Weak Hero Class 1 is a compelling and gritty drama that dives deep into themes of bullying, resilience, and the struggles of adolescence. As I watched this series, I was struck by how effectively it captures the raw, often uncomfortable reality faced by many students, especially those who feel powerless in their environments. The plot revolves around a seemingly average student, who, despite being labeled as "weak," possesses an inner strength that gradually unfolds. The series explores his journey from being a victim to someone who begins to stand up for himself and others, which is both inspiring and painfully authentic. It’s a narrative that resonates on a visceral level, highlighting the importance of courage and friendship amidst adversity.
The tone of "Weak Hero Class 1" is dark and intense, sometimes unsettling, but never gratuitous. It balances moments of brutal honesty with subtle emotional depth, allowing viewers to feel the weight of each character's struggles. The acting is superb; the cast delivers nuanced performances that bring authenticity and complexity to their roles. The protagonist's transformation, in particular, is portrayed with a quiet intensity that left a lasting impression on me.
Visually, the series employs a gritty, almost cinematic style that underscores the bleakness of the environment yet also emphasizes the resilience of its characters. The direction is sharp, with carefully crafted scenes that build tension and empathy. The soundtrack complements the tone beautifully—haunting yet fitting—that amplifies the emotional impact.
What truly resonated with me was the series’ honest depiction of bullying—not as a simple villainous act but as a systemic issue that affects individuals differently. It made me reflect on the importance of empathy, courage, and standing up against injustice, no matter how daunting it may seem.
While some may find the series’s unflinching portrayal of violence and hardship difficult to watch, I believe it’s a vital reflection of real-life struggles. It’s a story that leaves you with a sense of hope and a reminder that even the weakest among us can find strength within.
In sum, "Weak Hero Class 1" is a powerful, emotionally charged series that challenges perceptions and stirs deep empathy. It’s a must-watch for anyone interested in stories that explore resilience and the darker corners of human experience, leaving a lasting impression long after the credits roll.

10/10 — An Absolute Must-Watch!
I genuinely loved this drama from start to finish. The plot is captivating, especially for someone like me who isn’t into romance—I was fully invested in how the story unfolded. The cast did an amazing job: the protagonists are easy to love, while the villains are perfectly hateable, which just proves how well they delivered their roles. The visuals are beautiful, and the OST is incredibly catchy—I found myself humming it without even realizing. The storyline is solid and meaningful without needing to rely on romance, and the ending left me satisfied, especially with the Black Fox finally gone.
What really sets this drama apart is its message about love and sacrifice. A happy ending doesn’t always mean the leads end up together. True love can be selfless, and Fugui showed that through his devotion to protecting all living beings. I’ll always choose a story with depth and purpose over one packed with romantic clichés.
Overall, this drama delivered everything I want and more—a well-deserved 10/10!

Chaos, Kids, and the Nanny Who Conquered Hearts (and Lawyers)
This drama was FUN to watch. Yang Guo, played by Ella Chen, has a personality you can’t help but love. I LOVED her facial expressions and her general aura of chaos. She’s a tomboy, down on her luck in love after finding out her boyfriend cheated on her (mentally torn apart), which gives her “Ugly Duckling Syndrome” vibes. (Although she’s literally far from ugly.)Immediately, she meets Xiang Yu Ping (Jerry Yan), which causes an altercation. And then, thanks to her best friend, there’s a drunken restaurant kiss that becomes relevant later. Then she loses her job at the restaurant because of Yu Ping’s complaint (classic).
Jobless and heartbroken, Yang Guo continues working odd jobs while her penny-pinching older sister, Yang Duo, hooks her up to become a nanny to Yu Ping’s niece and nephew. These kids? Absolute chaos machines. They try to drive her away and fail spectacularly. Yang Guo eventually wins their hearts.
Meanwhile, the adult drama escalates: Ding Hui Fan (Chen Zi Han) decides to pause her career to get close to Yu Ping after they break up. Qi Ke Zhong (Michael Zhang) is secretly in love with Ding Hui Fan, but because Yu Ping is his long-time best friend, he steps back. To help Ding Hui Fan, he starts dating Yang Guo. This, of course, causes a tornado of emotions—Yu Ping has feelings for Yang Guo, her sister Yang Duo likes Qi Ke Zhong, everyone’s hearts are everywhere.
Eventually, the truth comes out. Yang Guo’s world shakes. Her Ugly Duckling Syndrome hits full-force. But her friends, family, and Yu Ping help her get through it and into the happy ending.
This drama has comedy, absurdity, serious WTF moments, and tons of tropes rolled into one: childhood saviors, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, green tea, family dynamics, work drama… AND, now correctly, Michael Zhang is firmly a main, not just a supporting actor, so his chaos and heartbreak get their deserved spotlight.
💭 Final Mood:
“Busted out laughing multiple times. Swooned occasionally. Emotional kidnapping (figuratively). Chaos everywhere. Multiple tropes at full blast. Absolute rewatch material. Almost started again immediately after finishing. 10/10. Snacks, sarcasm, and zero self-control required.”

This is really good drama.
This drama is so good! The suspense is nonstop, and there’s a body count in almost every episode, lol. I keep changing my mind about who Kunwu really is, it’s such a ride. I got completely carried away watching it.The cast is amazing too, especially Cheng Yi and the actors who play Ling Han and Ke Jing Ping. They all did such a great job. Honestly, this is a really good drama!

Great acting, but horrible characters and unfitting story
Cheng Yi did an amazing job being the cold, unfeeling Wangquan Fu Gui the story writers forced him to be. How could he not be cold when he wasn't given any lines to say goodbye to Qing Tong as she is crying in his arms and they both know he is about to kill her? Qing Tong said goodbye properly to Wangquan Fu Gui, but Wangquan Fu Gui only confirmed she was about to die by not denying her asking if she was next to die. He never asked Qing Tong; can I take the seed of love, knowing it will kill her because he later states he knew she was willing to sacrafice. Wangquan Fu Gui stated he knew Qing Tong knew he wanted the seed of love from her. He knew she was a good person, so why didn't he ask if she would give him the seed of love to him to save the world? His character doesn't love Qing Tong based off of his lack of asking her to take the seed or say goodbye to her or pat her head or show any love in the end. Regardless of this, somehow Wangquan Fu Gui is somehow able to wield the power of the love seed, not Qing Tong, who was the living embodiment of love. It doesn't make sense. Why is Wangquan Fu Gui the only one who can wield the power of love against the tree of hate? He doesn't love the so-called beloved. Overall, I would not recommend watching this show solely because of the character flaws in Wangquan Fu Gui.Was this review helpful to you?
The plot was wasted on the male lead . Actually, he should've been the villian.
This drama had everything, costumes, cgi, beautiful people, but the main couple just fell flat for me.It was fine overall, but for some reason, I started getting bored of the main couple halfway through. It took me weeks to finish this one. The female lead started off so strong as her warrior identity, but then she spent most of the show weak and sick, which got tiring to watch (so many dramas use this same trope).
. And when the leads kept lying to each other and breaking up over and over, I was just like: girl, can we not? There was no reason for them to like each other..
NOW imagine how much better this drama would have been if 2nd male lead(Situ Ling) was the lead, and she found out he was the boy from the past secretly protecting her. Then they tried to find the cure together for her heavenly grief while getting rid of his evil father hand in hand. The plot was so boring with Ji Bozai. And if you think about it, Ji bozai had all the qualities to be the villain more than the 2nd male lead. Without spoiling the end, Ji bozai finds out a fact about his master that would've been a perfect reason for him to turn evil. He also grew up abandoned in the Abyss as a slave, so he had all this hatred that a villain would have.
The special effects and side characters were great. I really liked the princess reconciling with her childhood crush.
I didn't read the book but if it was similar to the show, then I don't think i would've liked the book. I just feel like Situ ling could have done way more for the story than Ji bozai did. To be honest i would never watch this again so I'm gonna leave it at a 6.

A bit contrived—but full of heart.
When I first started watching this, I was really put off by how overproduced and clean it was. I tend to prefer film that aims for a more realistic vibe over this sort of pristine, highly polished look/sound. I also had the same issue with the plot; it was just really hard to get genuinely invested in something so clearly contrived to bring about a particular final result. That said, there is an earnestness to this show's production that starts to come through, and I think that's what kept me interested. This show clearly wasn't produced just to look/feel good, but with a very specific artistic intention in mind. In spending some time going through BTS clips and learning more about Takeru Satoh's process as co-producer, I found a lot to appreciate about this work as a passion project, and have developed an annoying love for it despite how ridiculously contrived some of it is (the yacht scene in particular comes to mind). Add to that the final episode—literally just an entire live show from start to finish—and Naoki's extremely well-written monologue about why we make music (and art more broadly) that genuinely resonated with me on a profound level—I had a pretty good time all things considered.Something I definitely want to mention is how authentic all the music in the show and its associated performances were. While they of course didn't write and produce the music themselves (it was the combined effort of 26 brilliant artists from all over the industry), the actors all put tremendous effort into learning their instruments to be able to actually play while acting, which, beyond just being a really impressive feat, gives this show a uniquely authentic aura that I wouldn't have expected after the pilot.
I could say a lot more about this, but anything more would probably wind up repetitive, so I'll keep it at that. If you're a musician, you will almost certainly have a good time with this, especially if you're willing to overlook a few contrivances. 7.5/10

A Joyful Feast of Friendship and Flavor: Cherishing Every Moment of the Show
There are so many wonderful things to say about this show! I will simply say that it was incredibly heartwarming for me, and I enjoyed every single episode. I was already familiar with He Laoshi, Peng Yuchang, and Henry Lau…and I love them all. I specially started watching this because of Peng Peng. I didn’t know about Huang Laoshi before. Watching this show made me want to taste his cooking; it was a fantastic introduction to him. My respect and affection for everyone involved grew throughout the series. The animals were so cute and the editing of their thoughts was so funny. I also loved the guests and the villagers and the passersby…so many amazing people! A huge thank you to everyone who made this show possible! Was this review helpful to you?
