Masterpice psychological drama
This drama dives into the complacency and sleaziness of "comfort love."FL got burned with her first love, ML, so out of confort, she grabs the second ML and dates him in super slimey ways... SUPER slimey. They never communicate and they lie to each other and make deals to stay complacent and never rock the boat. Both of them are evil cowards...
And then the ML shows up and busts them :)
I just feel sorry that FL never fully grew up. The drama leaves at the point where she decided she might try inner work to get back her ex, but then... even for that she did not put in enough effort.
THE DRAMA SHOWS PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAPS AND GAMES AS IF UNDER A MAGNIFYING GLASS. I learned a lot from this kdrama. You get to study and dissect narcissism etc as well as good communications and "get it done" attitude

I Would Just Be The Catcher In The Rye And All..
Was it as good as the first season?? No.. But sequels rarely are.. However, if you watch this drama without comparing it to the first season, it might not be a masterpiece but it's still a well executed drama that evokes a range of emotions.. The friendship remains a standout element as it was in the first season, but this time with new characters..Park Jihoon is an outstanding actor.. The way he portrays sadness, agony and melancholy is crazy.. But in this season, it’s a bit hard to say Park Jihoon was the true main lead.. Two other characters completely outperformed him, Baku and Na Baek Jin.. They were the highlight of the drama for me.. Si Eun was the anchor of the drama.. But thats it.. This whole season was carried by Baku and Na Baek Jin.. This season had a genuinely talented cast and they delivered.. These are the kind of actors the industry should be promoting, not those overrated ones riding on the hype of obsessive fangirls.. It’s the truly talented people who deserve the spotlight..
Ryeo Un's performance was incredible.. He brought so much heart to the scenes with his friends and undoubtedly he totally owned the action scenes..
Bae Na Ra.. Wow.. He was exceptional.. Really gave those villainous vibes.. The fact that they showed there was goodness in him was a nice touch.. He had a past.. But that doesnt justify his actions.. [ Major spoiler incoming ] I wish they hadn't killed him off at the end.. If there is a third season I hope they build on that.. Because that was such a loss..
Lee Jun Young, even with limited screen time he just gave another really strong performance.. The bad guy rebel vibe is something he pulls off effortlessly as we have seen before.. But man he was thrilling to watch..
This drama had an amazing roster of talented yet totally underrated actors.. I hope we get to see more of them in future dramas.. It’s unfortunate that the industry often chooses overrated actors over true talent..
Jo Jung Suk's cameo was a surprise.. While I liked the cameo and it was nice to see him in that role, he didn’t leave much of an impact.. I felt the character could have benefited from a stronger, more commanding negative presence.. Which unfortunately didn't come through as powerfully as it could have..
In Ep7, Si Eun says sorry to Beom Seok when he was in a coma like situation after his accident.. I honestly don’t understand why.. Beom Seok is one of the main reasons Suho is in the hospital and yet Si Eun says sorry?? What's the logic here??
This might be a bit of a controversial opinion.. But if there is a season 3, I do wonder what role Suho would play in that circle.. Now that we have Baku who I would say not only filled his place but did it even better.. It’s hard to see how Suho fits into the dynamic from here on..
Overall, I can't deny that this drama did everything it set out to and to a very high standard.. I do wish the finale was a bit stronger.. The final clash felt underwhelming.. But it was a thrilling watch.. I am confident there are more compelling stories to tell in the Weak Hero Class Universe, so expecting a third installment as well..
I should mention Park Ji Hoon again.. The nuance with which he creates such a melancholic character who you can't help but feel sad about is awe inspiring..
P.S.. The drama started off with a quote from one of my favorite books.. The catcher in the Rye..

how it started- quick review
This seems to be shaping up as a love triangle... or maybe even a love square, considering the twins’ involvement. The show almost feels like a tourism ad, but there are no cringey product placements, which is a definite plus. One of the leads doesn’t speak Thai fluently and uses a mix of English and Thai—it worked better than expected. As for that one female character... she says the same two words 31 times (yes, I counted), and now they’re permanently stuck in my head.
The second episode seems more promising—there’s more drama, and it feels like the actual story is starting to unfold. Just don’t go in with super high expectations, and you’ll probably enjoy it more.

3 handsome guys and a rather flat boring story
You can imagine how exciting this kdrama was when I do not remember much if anything from it.I remember that the Lawyer ML was very handsome and in some ways interesting character because he was so animated and alive
and that his lady was suuuuper cold and the actress was a TERRIBLE actress
and her mom played her role decently
but it was boring
I didnt get to see their character development. It was mostly showing how they live
Was this review helpful to you?

Boring and messy bad script and mostly bad acting
The ML actor saved it bc he was so good. The FL actress was the MOST COLD person totally oblivious to the ML actor, and also she was completely incapable of acting. COMPLETELY.
you can just imagine how bad the drama was since I do not remember anyth9ng from it unless I try, and the only first association is my thinking with concern "wow what a boring messy drama and acting, the male lead is the only one acting here, I hope he can pull it off alone"
Ah yes there was a VERY pretty lady villain, his mom
and the moral of the story was .... to NEVER blindly trust anyone near you if you are rich. CHECK THE DOCUMENTS INSTEAD
Now I remember, this drama had the trope plot that they misquote one DNA result zillion times

wow what a drag.
The only saving grace in this kdrama was MLOtherwise, the drama was most boring and messy and just ... bad script and bad acting
FL actress was terrible, could not really act, plus, she was SO SKINNY it was uncanny, Yet she was acting being pregnant...
so you can just imagine how meaningless the content of this kdrama was that I cannot remember anything until I force myself to.
Was this review helpful to you?

Amnesia plot... TWICE. What else shall I say? you got the idea
The only good thing in this kdrama was the ML who is a competent and fun actor.FL actress can NOT act ..... nothing... zero ... nil ....
the villain character was a single person who just kept having babies and leaving them LOL
SO the value of this kdrama was to not think that your employees are telling the truth, and to be aware if you are rich, you attract parasites

Beautiful, moving, poignant
It’s really no surprise the original won the Booker Prize—this adaptation is just so damn good. Such a beautiful, brutally honest meditation on what it means to be happily, darkly, stupidly human. The characters feel completely real—flawed, complex, lovable—and the themes hit hard without being heavy-handed. There’s a rhythm to it that just works; it gives you space to feel without dragging. The acting is incredible, totally immersive, and the directing ties everything together in this quietly powerful way. It’s the kind of thing that stays with you after it ends. Was this review helpful to you?

Masterpiece Classic.
Family dramas are long because they involve many characters and relationships and take the time to show development and character growth. So to me, family dramas ROCK IT!!! I love them. I also love multigenerational characters and family life, with sit-down home-made dinners, etc. I am a huge family drama fan. And they are sort of dying breed and it is hard to find new ones that are good.So this kdrama is one of those iconic kdramas.
I still remember the Lawyer Daughter character, she is one of the very few female characters in kdramas that is confident, competent and successful. She is a great role model.
Her sister Mi Yong drove me bananas bc she is EXACTLY the chicky chick that men love and then ditch. And yeah in real life that actress and the actor who acted her boyfriend "fell in love" and split shortly after.
The chicky chick scared quiet rather dumb "woman" who requires babysitting...

More weird than thriller...
The TrunkGenre: Mystery, Romance
Episodes: 8
Streamed on: Netflix
Plot Summary:
A mess. A big sloppy mess. So you have a divorced couple, using a marriage company for societies “elites” as the ex-wifes punishment (you’ll find out later) to the ex-husband. So while she’s manipulating and cucking him at the same time, she’s paired him up with a woman she thinks he’ll hate, but they end up falling for each other. There’s also a creepy stalker and the wife-for-hire has other issues. A sloppy mess.
Characters & Cast:
Main Characters: Ships.
Gong Yoo ⇒ Han Jeong Won
Seo Hyun Jin ⇒ No In Ji
Villains: Notable actors.
There really aren’t many good characters in this story, and depending on which aspect of the story you’re focusing on, there are villains everywhere.
Best of OST:
Ok, one of the most redeeming things about this whole drama is this track.
https://youtu.be/T8CvJNt8ILI?si=j_wzYkBVteWhLJ8l
And the Kyuri version is just as good, both earn a spot on your Spotify playlist.
https://youtu.be/PM09KnppR3w?si=JrHdnL7eMU5glS-X
Most of the rest of the OST is pretty average, or worse it feeds into the awkward silences. But a couple other tracks are interesting, but not something I’d listen to regularly.
https://youtu.be/a-mdCYLMq5M?si=2aULUzaAkdLc1hx5
Gripes:
I don’t know if they where trying to portray sexual tension, but I swear half the drama was just awkward silences. For an 8 episode drama, this felt like it dragged on far too long. I think we get an editor in, and make this a 2-3 hour movie, and I wouldn’t feel like I wanted all these hours of my life back.
Like I mentioned above, there are really no likeable characters in this drama. Likeable actors for sure, Seo Hyun Jin is one of my all time favourite actresses, and I hear Gong Yoo is pretty popular too I guess. But I like to like at least one person in the drama’s I watch, otherwise I just don’t feel invested.
Re-watch:
**Would I watch it again?**
No… well maybe part of episode 2—am I right guys!?— but really, no.
**Would I watch it with my brother?**
Not even close to anything he’d be interested in.
**Would I watch it with my kid?**
No… just no.
Final Thoughts:
A sloppy mess. Half of the running time was awkward silences, the other half was mostly horrible people doing horrible things to each other. Edit this down to a movie and I think it would serve the audience much better. It’s a short drama, that was too long. It’s such a shame, because I feel like I was looking forward to this drama for so long.
Rating:
5.5/10

Clever "improved" copy of Lawless Lawyer, but kinda generic... Nothing stayed with me
I watched this a few months ago. It is a total "copy with improvements" of Lawless Lawyer. Lee Gong Ji is again a lawyer etc taking down corrupt officials, and this time there are some supernatural elements and the villains are taking entire Korea and its president. THe drama is not about character growth but about outwitting the criminals. The watch was not bad but I notice that I do not remember anything from this show EXCEPT thinking that the Assemblyman is NOT as nearly a good villain as Judge Cha from Lawless Lawyer. The Judge was UNSURPASSED acting of a smooth powerful evil villain. Assemblyman looks like an amateur compared to her. He is just not ... sleezy enough. Not scary enough. Not politely cold enough. Not distant enough.. Just not a great villain like her.
I also remember that I was thinking it was a karma show. There are many elements of karma and how our actions shape the future. So the Lawyer did not date etc, he made sure he erased his previous bad karma and he focused on becoming a prosecutor and then chasing criminals. That is perhaps the only "character growth" element in this kdrama .
And the side character, the prosecutor friend... Is interesting. He was the magician in Twinkling Watermellon and in this drama too he spoke like that so I was expecting him to be some kind of supernatural influence, but he was not :) Seems like that is how he acts... .
One of The GLory villains is a half villain here and she is pretty good at it. She is assemblyman's secretary.
So... lots of action, and not much deeper content, and most importantly, you can tell the depth of it, since I do not really remember anything until I force myself to remember :) It means that it did not reach me...

You made me a man.. the best drama after weak hero class s2 of this year fr
DearHongrang is easily one of the most beautiful and emotionally captivating dramas I’ve watched this year. From start to finish, it left a deep impression on me. I smiled, cried, and felt so connected to the characters and their journey — it was truly a rollercoaster of emotions.Lee Jae-wook gave a phenomenal performance, showing incredible depth, strength, and vulnerability all at once. His acting felt so real, and you could see how much he poured into his role. BoA also surprised and moved me! she was stunning in her performance, and her presence brought such elegance and heart to the story.
What made the drama even more special was the OST. Every song was beautifully matched with the scenes, making the emotions hit even harder. I’ve already rewatched the whole drama because it was just that good. Every detail — the acting, music, visuals — was done with so much care.
If you’re looking for a drama that truly touches your heart, Dear. Hongrang is it. I’ll be thinking about it for a long time.

Noona romance laced with cliché, fluff, and a sprinkle of cradle confusion
Normally, I don’t pick up dramas with lackluster reviews, but the premise intrigued me. But I’m such a sucker for noona-romance, so I took the obvious bait, and it didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed the fluff that pandered to my taste, because occasionally I need to take a break from the heavy, sprawling, thousand-lifetimes drama and giggle at silly, trope-y shows to wind down. This fits the bill, with its cliched meet-cute, and then eventually meet-don‘t (or rather, meet-rewind); from online-friends, to let-down rivals that feel like a little cradle-robbery, to I-hate-you-boss-type of relationship. And of course, who could ever forget the what-a-small-world-scenario in nearly every drama, in where this MC, knows this MC, who knows this other MC, who happens to be this MC, and you’ve got a recipe of coincidences!
Preventing me from fully relishing this drama is Ju Yeon’s grandma, who is so horrible that she makes Maleficent look kind. But at least there’s that bad-hair-wig-band that Ju Yeon’s rocking to, as their songs gave him solace and an outlet to tap out his frustrations.
Not to be outdone in the chemistry department is the other pairing of Sin Won and Ha Jin. Their attempts at trying to separate the OTP are interesting to watch.
All in all, I cannot dive too deep into a drama that is clearly not meant for any Baeksang awards, but if the goal is to provide an escape from reality for at least twelve hours, then this drama certainly has done its job.

Focus on outwitting criminals, not on personal growth. *AMAZING* villains
This kdrama is an action-oriented show, the plot is about how to outwit the criminals, and there is really no emphasis on character development of our heros....So... I did not like that. It is the usual run of the mill chasing criminals, but in this case, by outwitting them.
I wasnt impressed much by the ML and FL. Ah yes, FL was on her feet and not a total loser, so that was great.
What I got out of this kdrama is VILLAINS :) The are extremely memorable and realistic.
The Judge Cha is a superb villain!!!!!!! The script is great and the actress is just amazing. So polite composed sweet-talking .... huge big parasitic predator... Wow what a monster!!!!
I havent seen such a great depiction of a heartless corrupt person. I will always remember her first any time I think of a villain.... SHE IS THE PERFECT CORRUPT EVIL "MAFIA BOSS".
This kdrama was later basically copied and enhanced to make "Again my Life" also with Lee Gong Ji in the main role as a lawyer, and with a copy of the Judge as a male Assemblyman, who does even more than the Judge but ... he is not as powerful character and acting like her... Cannot even compare.
JUDGE CHA FROM LAWLESS LAWYER IS THE SLEEZIEST SCARIEST VILLAIN YOU COULD POSSIBLY SEE... the other one is the Chef from "heo's diner".
And the Major from Lawless Lawyer!!!! OMG!!!!! THAT ACTOR WAS BRILLIANT AS A THUG TURNED CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OWNER AND THEN THE MAJOR!!!! Omg!!!! His voice, how he spoke, his stiff body and showing off, his body language, his licking his inner cheeks... woooow... HE WAS SO REALISTIC AND MEMORABLE. And so honest about being a free thug and not a dog... ... the last scene when he burns the money ...
Some people wrote he was distracting boring to watch etc but heck no!!!! that actor acted a gangster to the last dot. IT was real!!!!! A crazy person with various "ticks" .... Omg. When I think of a thug, I think of him :)
PS - I had to look up the name of the drama that copycatted and added to Lawless Lawyer, so I had to look up Lee Gong Ji and wow he is so famous, his Wikipedia bio stopped at year 2023 ... lol
I was impressed by his acting in Flower of Evil because his acting helped me to understand what happens with traumatized children, and I love his acting in the King and the Clown. I think his best acting was Clown. ALl his later roles are some macho dudes who are totally ... closed off and cold. He looks scary with his eyes and his triangular face and big ears, he looks like an elf or alien. But in Clown he is soft and has a rounded face, so I keep wondering if he had plastic surgery or WHAT happened? in any case, Clown was his first role and he isnt always very secure in his acting, BUT his acting is amazing there

Short and Flirty
Short but sweet. My ADHD was in super-hyper mode, and there weren't many dramas that could keep my attention. This one did, for the most part. Super flirty, interesting twist, and cute moments in a short drama that has a Sound of Music/Jane Eyre kind of governess to new mother kind of feel but with a 20s gangster twist. I really liked what they did with the other potential ML/gangster rival. I didn't see it coming but enjoyed it. The ending wrap up was nicely done (although darker than I imagined). However, the bonus ending scene was a weird and out of place. Were they trying to set up a sequel?Side note: The male lead looks straight out of an anime. How does anyone naturally have that face??
