This drama is lighthearted, mood boosting, and sooo wholesome! There are barely any major plot conflicts, and watching this made me feel so warm and fulfilled with each episode.I really enjoyed the dynamic of the main couple. I thought it was really cute that Rangrang was introverted and quiet but is actually really warm and thoughtful on the inside. His personality goes well with Zaizai, who is extroverted, energetic and bright. Zhou yi ran played Rangrang really well and looked sooo fine in the drama! I thought his high school boy look was so angelic and cute.
The 2012 setting and aesthetic is really nostalgic, making the high school romance even better! Highly recommend for people just looking for something chill and good vibes.

LONDON I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL I LOST MY QUEEN TOO (the show ended and now i’m bored)but fr idek know how to describe a show like this like who needs medication when you have su zai zai. it felt like 24 episodes of the tightest hug ever. it gave every character a chance to shine and talked about family problems, love, friends, school and even hot people!! i cried so much but i’ll admit every time su zai zai came on screen i giggled so much i think i started to plan our wedding
coming of age cdramas are saur superior it’s crazy and now i think i have withdrawal

A short and sweet drama well worth your time
I'll start by saying I'm currently in a phase where I get really impatient with long, dragged out romance plots where it takes forever for the leads to get together. However, with this show even though they spend most of the drama not officially together I found myself not skipping a single scene because the interactions between all the characters were so precious and fun to watch.I think all the characters had excellent chemistry with each other. Their friendships and journey through youth was really refreshing to watch and because the episodes were so short, they got to the point and it never felt dragged. Honestly, after watching this show I'm wondering why more youth dramas don't adopt this straightforward method of story-telling. It really keeps the content engaging.
I know a lot of people have been saying they like the second couple more than the main couple, but I actually disagree! Although I did love the second couple, nothing tops the main couple in this show for me. Their personalities are just so well matched and Su Zai Zai has to be my favorite lead girl. She's caring and sweet but also has a very straightforward, no-nonsense personality. A lot of classic drama tropes were turned on their heads in this show mainly because of how maturely she handled obstacles and I really respect her character for that. It shows that you don't have to be a cold and calculating type to be seen as a "strong" woman. Zai Zai was cute and affectionate while also being strong and I really appreciated that portrayal. Zhang LuRang was also portrayed very well and I think it's truly a "she fell first but he fell harder" type of relationship :)
In general, if you like romance and if you like light-hearted shows absolutely give this one a go. You won't be disappointed.

While the narrative is undeniably childish and filled with cringe-worthy moments in the early episodes, the pure warmth and the unshakeable loyalty of the squad make the overall experience incredibly delightful and cozy.Acting & Cast (10/10):Zhou Yiran and Zhang Miaoyi delivered fantastic performances with a highly natural, adorable on-screen chemistry. Zhang Miaoyi is great as Su Zaizai, and even though her overly cheerful, loud, and submissive stalking behavior can be quite polarizing and annoying at first, her character's unconditional devotion is what drives the emotional growth of the show. If you want a light and warm drama, this is the answer.
For the first time watching this drama, I stopped at the second episode and didn't want to continue because I felt bored. after this drama was declared over and people praised this drama, I felt confused, what's so special? then I convinced myself to continue watching. then I realized that this drama is really interesting and warm. This drama looks cliche but has special little plots. I like all the characters who have their own strengths and weaknesses, they support each other. The most important thing is the two main characters smart and solve the problem quickly. I regret not watching this drama earlier. THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER I WANNA CRY. Everyone in this show had great acting skills (which is kinda uncommon in C-drama if you ask me), and the chemistry between all the characters was MWAHHHH their friendship is to die for😭😭 .This might seem like I'm being overdramatic or something but like really I've never been this invested in a C-drama before it quite literally hurt to finish, there's like a big gap in my heart in the form of this series, this was the missing puzzle from my life I love it so much.
NEVER SKIPPED A SCENE ( I lied I did skip once 😔)
I WAS SMILING THE WHOLE ENTIRE DAMN TIME.
10/10 would a 1000% reccomend.
It's gonna take me a while to move on from this and watch other series with the same actors in it cause I just cannot accept the fact that they're not besties and in love in real life I wanna throw up.

CAN'T GET THEM OUT OF MY HEAD FRFR!
it's my first time giving a review after all the dramas and movies i've watched, but wifty made me do this!my brain isn't functioning so well right now, but i must say that this drama deserves more hype than what it has gotten so far (and is currently getting) because i myself can't get the youthfulness this drama has brought me as a teenager who's about to graduate shs in less than a year!
this drama made me go kilig and giggle A LOT, I SWEAR 🙋 it's sooooo comforting to watch because of how supportive and lovely they are to each other (may it be for friendship or for a romantic relationship).

Beautiful and uplifting
When I Fly Towards You manages to capture the fleeting moment in life when possibilities are endless. Back when we say goodbye to childhood and we become young adults going out into the world to expand our understanding as we discover ourselves through others.On a technical aspect the cdrama is shot digitally but there are snippets filmed with an analog camera, visually making you understand you are being told this story from the POV of someone remembering. This adds a layer of nostalgia. Smart and beautiful to watch.
The acting is what I expect from a youth drama that understands itself: good natured, solid and well-rounded performances of characters growing up as we see them going through different every day experiences involving school, friends, family and love.
Overall, I fully enjoyed this cdrama that features an easy to cheer for characters, with good chemistry, learning about life and themselves. This is why I love youth dramas, they can be a source of joy and energy.

honestly didn’t expect much going into this but BOY WAS I WRONG. the friendship, the cinematography? the soundtrack? CHEFS KISSS 💋 this gave me nostalgic vibes and made me long for a friend group like theirs, where u can share everything, and be vulnerable. i loved how the story showed their growth over the years. it made me think about the kind of people i want to surround myself with.zhang lurang ILYYYYY, you are more than enough. just like su zaizai said, you’re 101 marks over 100, because that extra +1 will always be hers, and that’s what makes you even more special.

If I had to use three words to describe this drama they would be soft, fluffy and heartwarming.
The best youth drama I have watched this year.
I have loved this show so much that I just couldn't help myself but write a review on how good this show is! And also, I am not a native English speaker, so please ignore grammar mistakes if I've made any.
Often times when I watch any show, I just care about the main couple and don't give a damn about whatever happens to the side couple/character(s), but here, it's a completely different story. I had the same amount of interest in every character's storyline.
The friend group — I adore the strong bond that they have among their group. They are the type of friends who are so silly yet so pure, who will pull your leg at any given chance but will not hesitate to stand by your side the in times of crisis.
Their relationship development was neither rushed nor too slow-paced.
So, if you love a good romantic youth/idol drama with a good storyline and great acting or you're feeling down and want to lighten up the mood or you're just looking for a good light hearted rom-com drama that you can binge on, then this drama is definitely for you!

I finished the story not because the romance but the friendship. Their friendship between them feels real. For the romance, it's not for me. I believe in relationship, relationship should have effort of 2 person not one person alone. But in this drama, FL is the one give her effort on that relationship. People keep saying ML so green forest because he is soft spoken but it doesn't feel that way. You know men typical where FL ignoring ML that's when ML feel lost, and that's what Rangrang does. jiang jia and gu ran superiority
Nice drama. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite or as good as the ones I’ve given nine stars to the past. But for a romance it was a nice watch. it was heavily focused on romance, friendship and youth. I love how much time the side characters got. jiang jia and gu ran were my favorite characters by far and some episodes were even focused on them. If the drama was about them two mainly I think I would’ve given this a nine. I just didn’t like the two mains better than them two. but the two mains were nice as wellWas this review helpful to you?
