Best show for all time
I watched this show 4x (2 YouTube and 2 or 3 in rakuten). This is the show that makes me an avid fan of Zhao Lusi. She captured my interest due to her dramatic act, funny and smart. Some actresses plays similar to NN but their facial expression is void of emotions. The cast was fantastic especially the grandma,mom, emperor and chunky guard. This show contains a perfect formula of success. They have a good director, beautiful and smart script and strong cast. I will watch this again every year!Was this review helpful to you?

Surprisingly fun and light-hearted
I had been putting off watching this one for a while, worried it would be too confusing or heavy. But Part 1 of this drama was actually so funny and light-hearted. The family dynamics are really interesting to watch and the romance was delightful and full of tension.It does have the same issue that I have with many historical cdramas — that 95% of women characters are portrayed as villainous and manipulators , but it helps that the main character is headstrong and intelligent; she's one of the most refreshing parts of the show.

I don't think the story is unique but I love how this drama navigates the life of neglected children and what it's like to live in a dysfunctional household. The leads are opposite but they compliment each other, but one thing they have in common is that they are both petty and vengeful.
Wu Lei and Zhao Lusi did an amazing performance in acting 💯💗

The classic well done
This review might be biased because I've already watched part two and didn't like it.I liked the chemistry between the love interests (especially Yao and Niao Niao), and the way everything is portrayed, including the protagonist's aunt's relationship.
I like the character, even though she's not particularly strong, intelligent, or clever, she's an easy person to sympathize with and whose actions were quite human.
I enjoy dramas set in a family environment with everyday conflicts, so this is to my taste. The mother-daughter, grandmother-granddaughter, brother-sister, and especially father-daughter relationships were all very well done.
My only complaint is the pacing of the drama, which is very slow.
Overall, I'd say it's a 7 out of 10 drama; it doesn't do anything wrong, but it doesn't offer anything particularly special either.

Very unique plot
Starting off, I'll just say that I've never watched a series where FL actually associates so closely to another guy - LuoYao. It was a very very adorable relationship and I even got confused momentarily to whom the ML was. But it was interesting how this prior relationship actually means something to the plot, and not just a simple stepping stone to FL and ML's relationship.I love the exploration of family dynamics. Mostly seen through the family interaction of FL with her long-lost parents, it's interesting how its often a lot more difficult to maintain a good relationship within a family, but even so, they still love each other greatly. Family interaction is less seen in part 2, with more of the politics going on, so I quite treasure the scenes which explore FL's relationship with her family members.
Another thing I really liked, was how this was one of the rare series where the Monarchy wasn't trashy and stupid. The King was incredibly wise, and took care of his children, and especially so for LingBuYi. The Queen and the Royal Consort are both noble women, and they do not act stupidly like many royalties in other series like to. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said by the prince and princess, but then again, it wouldn't make sense if all the royalties had really acted as their noble title suggests.
FL and ML's relationship develops more in the latter half, as FL used to harbour suspicion towards ML, and did not like him due to his nature of being a war general. Personally, I did not think they're relationship got off to a great start, with both ML and FL having quite conflicting personalities. But I look forward to its development in Part 2.

A True QUALITY WATCH, A rare to be seen MASTERPIECE
OVERALL OPINION:In all my years as a drama addict i have yet to see such a quality watch as this. Although a few other masterpieces can be mentionned like Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan and A Dream of Splendor as well as TMOPB, i must say that so far this one seems to be promising the most and i truly hope it follows through till the end.
DETAILED OPINION:
+ Story/Plot:
Though i am still in the beginning of watching this, so far honestly it has been excellent plot and story wise. Nothing drags and i have been captivated every second of every episode, no filler scenes, it feels like every moment is necessary to the development of the story and to the understanding of the characters for future plot development. Having said that, not many series have many fillers in the beginning to start with. However as this one has around 30 episodes only (unlike dramas which drag the plot from 40 to 70 episodes), i am optimistic towards the unfolding of the scenes yet to come.
+ Acting/Cast:
I doubt i have seen all the characters yes but have definitely seen the main one and TBH so far so good.
I already like the main FEMALE LEAD from her other dramas she does not exaggerate or underplay her acting either.
The main lead's MOTHER is an excellent actress although her personality does seem to be wanted to be portrayed as strict and soldier like, i would like to see more of her motherly emotions which i am sure will not be omitted. Acting wise however so far i feel like she is a really good actress, you can tell from her silent facial expressions and eye movements.
The MAIN LEAD has so far not impressed me, although i am not sure if he is purposefully meant to be so monotonous because of the nature of his job but i have yet to see any facial expressions from him. which IF this continues would be disappointing because it would play into the usual cliche of mail leads that are expressionless in order for i dont know to make them seem more manly or something?
+ Direction:
*Clap Clap Clap* I honestly really ...truuuuly am IMPRESSED. like i said it is a rare watch and i believe all of that is due to the director. From the first scene i was already impressed from the entrance shot. from that i was able to tell that it was not yet another cliche drama following the same style as every other successful drama in order to collect viewership. GREAT EFFORT was put in by this director and even though the production value does not seem that extravagant, the director's efforts truly made the SCENES SHINE
+ Music:
i have not paid much attention to the music so far but i believe that to be A GOOD THING. It is neither overbearing the drama nor is it completely unpresent. I hate it most when they try and fail at manipulating the watchers with stupid music when it is so uncalled for in a scene. For example playing overly dramatic music in a scene that doesnt require so much drama just to exaggerate the effects and the emotions of the viewers in poorly written dramas. Because a well written and directed drama does not need the music to let us know how to feel but only to accessorise it.

This is a ridiculously honest review from a Chinese drama addict.
Love like the Galaxy is preposterously one of the most hyped dramas of 2022 amidst the airing spree of a myriad of other anticipated dramas. In as much as I, saw an auspicious chemistry between the two mail leads, Cheng Shao Shang casted by Zhao Lu Si and Ling Bu YI casted by Leo Wu, particularly stemming from the former's successful movies where she made us breathe in at intermittent stages of the plot a therapeutically refreshing air by virtue of her laden rich youthful energy character, hued with very excellent gusto ( portrayed in Who Rules the World starring she and Yang Yang), the male lead quite did wrong to the movie on my part. Leo Wu is boring, very less handsome, uncharismatic, lacks every sense of exigent humor, dull and doesn't exploit to his advantage his brilliant paired cast. He has never been good in exemplifying and playing romance. He made The Long Ballard which got featured in, a brilliant Diralba Dilmurat, very boring and I had to painfully leap over many an unwatched episode just to have a peek into the end, so frustrating.As a preacher and delibrator of good C-dramas osts, this drama lacked any captivating and heartwrenching one (compare with
with the likes of Immortal Samsara, TMOPB, The Wolf, Novoland:Pearl Eclipse, Legend of Fei, Acient Love Poetry, amongst many others)., so exceedingly bad!
The sound effects was ridiculous and a disgrace, alongside the visual effects and everything.
There are a couple of many other things I would have loved to append to this honestly brutal review but I think none of them could measure a millionth to the tune of disappointment I have in the choice of the Male lead. A very bad thespian. I do not want to see him in any movie.
The only worth final note is that i PROUDLY dropped this series just some few minutes into the 5th episode, It was like a burden was lifted off my shoulders.

Everything takes time, forgiveness is the key to the relationships
At first i really thought how would it go ai watch average 40 episodes drama this was a long i was hesitant to watch, i am glad i still watched, this was ka slow at same point very interesting drama most entertaining thing was her family i loved them so much everyone has their own way to make me smile now let's talk about mls zhao lusi did a very good job her character was completely different from many Fls she was brave and independent but her character was complex and relatable as well we all go through these things where our family ignores our emotions they thunk we don't feel bad if they're comparing us with our siblings the feeling of left behind and alone to fight with ourselves this is my personal experience so i feel more sensitive maybe, now our cold but warm to her general i think he gave his all to her the efforts told the story , first when he came to her house he was such a lonely sad baby who was yearning for warmth of family care from his Loved one's what he never got through his life but he tried his best to get along with them i felt bad for him what he was what suffering made him like then she came to melt his frozen emotions and heart when he started love her ten bever stopped, "SHE IS THE ONE WHO CAN WALK WITH ME IN THIS WORLD" what he said was life written on stone ,never going back to his word, and all the support characters were well written and thier characters made drama more and more entertaining and loveable, i loved how Empress XUAN raised niaoniao from a childish and reckless girl to a more reliable and composed lady her , empress XUAN's character was my favorite she was to warm and sweet women I've seen. Excellent show till date as per my preferences
It has been so long since I have watched such a show which is Complete in every aspect. Each and every episode kept us entertained and did not let us feel any boredom even though the scenes were with a slow moving pace. Characterization needs to be appreciated and also the corresponding portrayal by the actors need a big round of applause.Not able to pick any actor for praising as all of them had exceeded expectations with their role performances.
Definitely a show which has high rewatch value according to my preferences.

Shaoshang and her mother's relationship is my favorite. It feels realistic and I love the complexity. Yes, her mother has wronged her but you can see her reasoning for her actions. There's so much to explore in a mother-daughter dynamic and when it's explored well I'm always blown away.
