My favorite C-drama/ Comedy ever
I first watch this series in 2024, and even then it was my favorite series. I have rewatch the first 15 episodes many times when I want a light series with great comedy. I have watched this series 5 times. It has the best cast, great comedy, drama, intrigue. Great chemistry with the main leads. I have watched it again season 1 and 2 in 2026. I don't get tired of it .Was this review helpful to you?

A trust shouldn't be hidden for too long, it will create misunderstanding.
It's the bestest chinese drama I have seen so far. Tremendous job for choosing such an amazing actor. FL is soo good at her job, every drama she chooses become hit. I am a great fan of you and eagerly waiting for your new drama to release. The ongoing controversy with your agency is really inhuman and unacceptable. I hope you found the peace you are looking for and leave those people in the past. I have watched this when it release and still remember all the plot because I have already re-watch it many times. This drama deserve 10/10 for the plot. A must watch for all genre lover. Was this review helpful to you?
Best show for all time
I watched this show 4x (2 YouTube and 2 or 3 in rakuten). This is the show that makes me an avid fan of Zhao Lusi. She captured my interest due to her dramatic act, funny and smart. Some actresses plays similar to NN but their facial expression is void of emotions. The cast was fantastic especially the grandma, mom, emperor and chunky guard. This show contains a perfect formula of success. They have a good director, beautiful and smart script and strong cast. I will watch this again every year! Was this review helpful to you?
love, family, and destiny
A beautifully written low burn romance that captures the struggle of growing up unloved and learning to open one’s heart — all wrapped in breathtaking visuals and heartfelt performances. This first part focuses on Shaoshang’s growth — from a misunderstood girl yearning for affection to a confident woman learning to trust and love. The chemistry between the leads is magnetic, filled with tender moments, teasing banter, and emotional depth. The show also excels in world-building, with stunning sets, intricate costumes, and a script that balances witty humor with heartfelt drama.

Very Beautiful Love Story Between a Young General & his Extraordinary young Wife
The first time I saw this drama I was immediately attracted with the beauty of the FL Zhao Lu Si and the calm but intelligent nobility of the ML General Ling Bu Yi (Leo Wu). Her carefree spirit and innocent beauty captivates me and the handsome yet dignified demeanor of the General who was so deeply in loved with the FL is so touching. Both leads acted so well and so convincingly. The production has done well and the director is very good.
The presentation of the family values and the complications of the political tensions in the Imperial Palaces made their love story more beautiful and touching.
Because of this drama I became a great fan of Leo Wu and Zhao Lu Zi. Hope to see more of them.

The story is richly layered … balancing family dynamics, political intrigue and personal growth without losing emotional depth. It’s not just a romance, it’s very much a coming of age journey for the female lead. The writing takes its timebut that slow burn pays off with meaningful character development and strong emotional arcs.
The casting is spot on. Leo Wu delivers a restrained yet powerful performance..his intensity, micro-expressions,and controlled vulnerability really elevate the role. And by the way, this is how a general should look like - pretty face but with “killer aura" and "ruthless grit" that’s missing in a particular male lead that I recently watched (separate review) . And alongside him, Zhao Lusi brings charm, emotional rangeand relatability. Together, they create magic!
The chemistry..this is where the show truly shines. Even without relying on excessive physical intimacy, the connection between them absolutely sizzles. It’s the kind of chemistry built through tension, glances, and emotional stakes rather than overt romance and honestly, it makes you want even more of them on screen. A few additional intimate moments wouldn’t have hurt, but what they deliver is already incredibly compelling.
This is also one of those dramas that has strong rewatch value. It’s the kind you go back to during a lull because the characters and their journey stay with you.

A Character-Driven Political Drama Worth Completing
The storyline is intriguing, and I found myself genuinely invested in the politics and character dynamics. However, without watching both seasons, the story feels incomplete. That said, the comedic interactions between characters are enjoyable, and I liked all of the roles—though some stood out more than others. My biggest critique lies in Part 1, where a few character arcs felt rushed while others dragged. Still, I enjoyed the first part, adored the second, and ended up loving the series as a whole.
What I appreciated most is the psychological depth given to each character. We see lost and forced love, humiliation, regret, and abandonment shaping their lives. These emotional layers influence their decisions, affect their children, and echo into future choices. The actors did a wonderful job bringing all of this to the screen.

One of the Best Chinese Historical Drama
I'll write the same review for both parts 1 and 2. Honestly, I'm not used to writing drama reviews, but I'll spend my time and energy to spread positive reviews and appreciate good work.First, the storyline. The episodes are long, but it's because the journey is too. We get to see Shao Shang's growth from a child to a woman, understanding her perspective, reasons, and actions.
Every character in this drama has beautiful development, and it shows. There's no forced plot, and the storyline flows well. I'm impressed by Shao Shang's journey in finding love. Her search for true love teaches her many things and is the main factor in her growth into a mature woman. And Ling Buyi's story doesn't just stop at revenge; we see how he lives after achieving it. The supporting characters, including the prince's children, friends, and family, are all well-written.
The actors have excellent acting skills, with the leads (Wu Lei and Zhao Lusi) standing out. Their chemistry is remarkable.
The direction is also great, with a well-paced storyline, beautiful cinematography, and excellent set design.
There are many things I want to say, but this is all that comes to mind for now.

This unexpectedly becomes one of my favorite
To comply with the government regulation, Love Like A Galaxy is divided into two parts, to keep episodes below 40. The total episodes for the whole parts is 56. I'm glad they did not just cut here and there to keep the drama to just 40 episodes. It would not be as good otherwise. They divided the drama really well. Part 1 deals mostly with the character introductions and background. You get to see some character development, especially the FL and ML. Cheng Shao Shang started out as a rebellious girl that was left by her parents since she was a baby, to the care of her "evil-lish", annoying, materialistic, selfish grandmother and second aunt. The first part is about Shao Shang's life outside of the palace, and more about her family. This is an unexpectedly good drama, one that i will put on my favorites and will re-watch in the future, time permitted. Was this review helpful to you?

Annoying female lead
This is the second time I've tried watching this series because I REALLY want to. But despite all the great things going for it, the character of the main female lead, Niao Niao, is just too infuriating to watch.Despite all the empathy or justification I've tried to muster up for NN due to her circumstances, her incessant self-pity and inability to empathize for others is just too irritating. It's hard to believe how much she's been "bullied" by her family when she acts like such a spoiled brat who is jealous of everyone for having a mother. Her parents were away risking their lives to support the family and although they had to leave her behind, you'd think she'd be happy to have both of them back alive. If she really were as clever as depicted, she should have known that her family were all liars and manipulators and anything they said about her parents were potentially false. Instead, she kicks into high manipulation gear the minute she sees them.
She acts like the biggest victim in the family but appreciates nothing and no one. Her father is loving and her cousins coddle her but she can't stop complaining about her mother disciplining her. Pouting and manipulating without putting any real effort into herself, and yet she just blames everything on everyone else. Her aunt physically and mentally abuses her husband and daughter but nope, NN is the only victim here. She makes it impossible to root for her.
It's such a shame because NN's parents are fantastic and have amazing chemistry with one another. The series initially won me over at the scene her mother rode in on a horse fully suited up in war gear. Her character is just so good. The male lead, Zi Sheng, is also intriguing so far, as well as the case he's working on. Even the family dynamics and drama are interesting.
I really wanted to try and just bear with NN's character until there was hopefully some severe character growth. But when within an episode, she had men falling for her left and right from their one and first encounters, it was game over. The score for her is almost nothing and an 8-9 for everything else about the series so far.
