Basic compared to S1, but worth binging
It was a remake if season 1 without the Mc desperately wanting to study, and weak friend not betraying all his friends, plus a ridiculously happy ending. I think the main reason everyone love season 1 was because Mc is so damn interesting. We already explored his personality in season 1 so it makes sense it wasn't done in season 2. This sounds like a lot of criticism but I really had no problems while watching it. I was interested and involved. It was kind of the writers to give our guy some happiness.Despite everything, I did enjoy it. I wonder what he'll be like once he gets into corporate life. Do you think he can make it a year before punching his boss?

Totally Worth it!!
The best part of this season was that the main cast was flawlessly chosen, and every actor played their role as if they were the person themselves. The season started with a small recap of season 1, and Si-eun is still trying to move on from the past, but it doesn't last long, as he ends up meeting Jun Tae. Their fight with Hyo Man started their friendship, and from there, they met Baku and gotak. He finally starts smiling with them and starts accepting his new life, until he gets involved with the union and from this point on we see A LOT of fights which is exciting at first i mean who doesn't wanna see Si-eun click his pen and fight ruthlessly but at some point the fights seemed a bit unnecessary at some points it kinda killed the point of show.I had mixed feelings about the character Geum Seong he was exciting to watch at first, and his fight with si-eun was the best part of the drama for me, but after the fight, he helps Jun-Tae so I thought he switched teams finally but never did I expect him to betray Si-eun at the end.
The ending was a shock to me, as I did not read the webtoon, I never expected Baek Jin to die. I mean, as much as I hated him, he was still a childhood friend of Baku and and he only laundered that money to donate to the orphanage. I felt wasn't that bad to be just killed off like that in the end. and Bae Na Ra played the character Beak Jin fabulously. The perfect casting indeed!
But there were some really good parts of the drama I loved in the final two episodes. The whole Eunjang High comes together to fight the union, Baku accepts Baek Jin's terms, and joins the union to protect his friends. The airport scene where Jun-tae tells Si-eun its not his fault, when Si-eun gets into the accident, all of them go to meet him and FINALLY I cried happy tears when Su Ho woke up and the best closure for me was Si-eun introducing the gang as his friends meaning he's finally happy and that smile oh my god was everything to me.

Love it, Wanted More!!!
Fun, action packed, punchy, gutsy, emotional, and all around solid! I really liked this and wanted more episodes, i binged all of it in one night.I liked the new characters, story, fight scenes and felt it did a good job continuing and rounding off season 1, while still being unique.
Those last scenes were very emotional. I wonder if some of the threads can be fleshed out for a 3rd season. is that certain character really gone and what happened. Since Si Eun is now a senior, we could possibly work that in as well.

Is it just me or was this season not as good as the first?
Do not get me wrong, I love WHC1 and I waited years for the second season to drop. All of my expectations and anticipation just built up more and more over the years. To make this season as raw as possible, I avoided the manhwa, because I wanted to watch the show without bias. But even without the manhwa, I was still disappointed..why?It just felt empty, the fight scenes weren't that good at least to me, I think I preferred season 1's fight. However the fight between Seunjae and Sieun was pretty good. Although, I loved the new characters, I just felt like we knew so little about them and I did not really form a deep connection with them as I did with Suho. I feel like I would have really liked Gotak if I learnt more about his failed athlete story and his full beef with Seunjae, but again nothing much was developed. It's like most of the characters included Sieun were paper cutouts with labels on them, so you would not confuse them.
Then pacing was another issues, in the first few episodes, the story was just moving as a snail's pace nothing much developing with Baekjin beside Pyoman stealing phones to join the union (and in my opinion Seunjae could have been the villain this season alone), because afterwards the story picked up its shell and ran, all of a sudden we are having gang fights, etc etc and the tension was never fully established, like yes we know about Baek Jin and how strong he is , and how much of a think he is, friend complex he has, but again no emotional connection to this character could be made.
But maybe its just because of the expectations I had towards the first season, that was amazing and most of the story conflicts remained in the school, or between a small collection of people creating intimacy and reason for fights. Then I came to find out, that some characters weren't even included in the show?? Bro..ok. No wonder it felt flat, what if we are missing someone important? Butchered the writing.
Overall, I still think it's worth the watch to just bite the anticipation off your nails and to curb your dissatisfaction with season 1, especially since there is a good surprise in it.

Juntae stole my heart!
Overall 9/10🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐
Perfect for binge-watching, I'd recommend putting time aside to binge-watch this part. Very satisfying, the emotions were emotion-ing, and everyone did a great job with their characters. I'll never get over this drama's intro and outro music - SO GOOD! Yoon Sieun, my man...Ugh, I love him. The friendship in class 2 is everything. I wanted to understand Na Baekjin's reasons, but it's okay that I didn't find out in the end. The fighting scenes were excellent, however, the last fight had some moments where it felt like you could tell the actors were fake punching, but hey, I've never been in a fight, so that might just be what it looks like. Baku - loved him, but my favourite in Class 2 has to be Juntae, he decided that he had had enough and never waivered since - his loyalty is commendable.

Better than the reviews I've read
I saw a lot of reviews on how season two was disappointing, whereas I quite enjoyed it. I agree that the storyline was a bit rushed and unrealistic, however, even the Beom-Seok crashout part of season one was like that, yet I don't see many complaints. The show shows exaggerations of many inner and relationships struggles, while adding many fights to entertain the target audience. I think it's just a personal preference type of thing. However, the missing back story of Baek Jin was the real issue for me, as one can't geht why his character and the union are even a thing. I would've liked to see more of Suho, but I think him and BeomSeok beautifully haunted the narrative in terms of SeEuns character, which made up for it :) I really hope there will be a third season, as the end implied it!Was this review helpful to you?

He’s so cheesy saying singu instead of chingu
lol I wanna say I enjoyed the characters more this time, but it still isn’t really my type
I loved tak, I liked the friendship, ml was too gloomy and everything felt too flat, juntae was too passive and forgettable, also a bit too “ Shounen” style ie boy centric with flashy fights and crazy plots of teens running a gang scheme xD
I also liked the dad/son Easter egg but it also felt like pako(?) was acting too much to fit the og suho vibes
So I’d compare the friendship to pyramid games and that had better chemistry and character presence
Suddenly a truck is there, and he’s in a coma, and Suho is fine and sieun wakes up in the ep before the last felt so rushed
I loved tak treating juntae like a kid, then he also saved tak but overall his presence lacked
Dude and his pen are like supervillains

A Surprising and Dynamic Season 2
I absolutely loved this season! It has a more mature vibe than the first, with great introductions of characters (Go Tak, Hu Min, Jun Tae as allies; Seong Je as the enemy). The series is a quick watch, even if a few questions remain unanswered (thanks to only 8 episodes!). I especially loved Sieun's evolution; I preferred him this season. The fight scenes are excellent, and the friendships between the characters are beautifully developed.
Season 2 is less melancholic and more focused on fun action than Season 1, which I really appreciated. The actor playing the villain is good, though his motive lacked clarity. Park Ji Hoon's performance is incredible, a true talent.
Highly recommend!

“Suho, I’m sorry”
Watching the second season of Weak Hero feels like picking at an open wound. From the very first episode, the season drags you back into its brutal world with no room to breathe. Yet, amidst all the chaos, it glances back just long enough to remind us how everything unraveled.Sieun is no longer the sharp, unshakable strategist we met in season one, he’s hollowed out, emotionally numb, and visibly burdened by depression. He now resembles a dying flame and the way his mental state is portrayed—subtly, yet with painful clarity—is this season’s greatest strengths. Park Jihoon, once again, nailed the role and all of his scenes deepens the character in a way that feels organic and earned. I was particularly relieved to see that in the new chapter of Sieun’s story Suho, rather than being pushed to the sidelines, remained the emotional core. It’s heartbreaking that despite everything, Sieun never stopped wanting to return to him and speak to him again. Additionaly, “just another truck accident,” happened not because he was hit by a truck but in the episode it’s clearly started clearly states that his hospitalization was due to shock hearing about Suho’s bad condition, not injury.
While the main character’s emotional core remained strong, I wished we had more time to explore the new characters. In the first season, the bond between the original trio felt genuine because they were all lonely in their own ways, that made everything more heartbreaking. This season, while it’s believable that Sieun opened up to those who showed him care, the emotional groundwork of these new relationships wasn’t as fully realized. Still, I liked Baku personality and story a lot.
On a technical level, the action sequences have leveled up. Fights are more intense and visually dynamic. Each character seems to carry a unique fighting style now, which makes the sprawling cast easier to distinguish.
Overall, season two is a worthy continuation. I haven’t read the webtoon and only know fragments from spoilers, but part of me wished the series would deviate even more from its source material. Interestingly, the first season was widely praised for its bold narrative changes, while this season faced criticism for doing the same.
I genuinely hope there will be a third season.

The Weaker Hero
I'm going to start by saying that this second season is good but is nowhere near as good as the first in terms of plot, storytelling, character development, and even action. But having said that, I actually enjoyed this season more. Why? Because it's not as somber and depressing as the first. The characters in this are actually more endearing, even the villains, though not as compelling as the baddies in the first. The friendship between the mains is real and wholesome, and they are written as such that they are more ideal and less flawed. The action scenes are more fun and, I daresay, far more unrealistic that you just have to turn off your brain so you won't question every last bit. But the things I enjoyed in this season are the reasons why I think it's inferior. There is a lack of development in the characters other than Si Eun. Baku is sort of interesting but he's nothing more than a cookie cutter good guy who wants to protect his loved ones and does everything loud and big to the point that it becomes annoying at times. I think Ryeoun is miscast in this, btw. He's basically playing another version of Suho and he just doesn't have the energy and charisma that Hyun Wook has to make it fully work. The villains are lackluster as well, especially Bae Na Ra as Baek Jin. His pseudo backstory and the writers seemingly wanting the viewers to have more empathy for him because he was bullied and donates money to an orphanage is forced and lazy. Just show us that he's not as bad as he seems, you don't need to tell us. Interestingly, the villain that pulled more weight is Seongje played by Lee Jun Young. Despite having zero backstory and limited screen time, Jun Young actually brought a lot of nuance to his portrayal of the role. He struck me as a kind of Loki or Joker. You don't really need to know about what happened to him in the past and what made him like that or truly understand his motivations because his unpredictability and presence are what really matters. He was the best part of this season save for Jihoon imho. His fight scene with Jihoon is hands down the best fight sequence this season, very reminiscent of the fights in the first. Not to mention that their chemistry is just undeniably palpable. I would love to see them star in another project one day.
Speaking of Jihoon, I didn't like the fact that his character, Si Eun, was sidelined and the spotlight momentarily shifted to Baku. The story revolves around him, without him, there is no Weak Hero. Sure, the other characters deserve screen time too, but not at the expense of Si Eun. He was purposely sidelined to lift the other characters up. A good writer doesn't need to do that to give importance to the other characters as well. This was bad writing tbh. This didn't happen in the first season so I don't know what the writers were smoking when they did this.
The plot by itself is not even half as interesting as I thought it would be. And the fact that they made the main villain flat and less compelling made this season weaker as a whole. Yes, it's more enjoyable for most people because it features more popular actors and the characters are written to be less imperfect so you feel like cheering for them more. But it's the imperfections of a character and the grit of the story that makes a drama better because it makes it more real and thought-provoking. Those are the things that the first season has that this season doesn't. Weak Hero Class 2 is but a shell of its predecessor.
Some say that we shouldn't compare the two because these are different seasons. Yes, they are different seasons but they're supposed to be part of the same story, the main character is the same, and as far as I know the team behind it is mostly the same. So there's no reason to expect it to be wholly different in tone, writing, and characterization. They should be compared, and anyone who says otherwise just doesn't want to see anything negative about anything or maybe they simply have their own preferences. The thing is, people don't think the same way and there will always be people who will criticize something you love. Besides, constructive criticism is necessary for improvement. If they ever make a third season, I hope they can make adjustments and produce a better season than this.

A good continuation with memorable characters.
It was very nice to see a good continuation of Class 1. All of the new characters were very well-written and interesting (both the ‘heroes’ and the ‘villains’).(1)Baku was probably the most interesting- don’t fight, but if it happens, don’t lose. I saw a close similarity between Baku and Suho throughout the drama which I liked because it was almost a constant reminder that Suho was still around.
(2) Baekjin… so flawed but so pitiful. I couldn’t bring myself to hate him because of his history with Baku but I’m also disappointed there was no explanation as to how or why he ended up joining The Union.
(3)Seongje pissed me off sm. He was such a bitch so well done Junyoung for your great acting.
(4) Sieun. Jihoom is a DISGUSTING talented actor! I cannot fathom how he portrays each and every teeny tiny emoji so so well. I’m definitely going to watch all of his dramas.
Also, that final fight scene- a cinematic masterpiece. That scene was filmed and coloured so perfectly. It’s probably my favourite scene.
Thank you, Weak Hero Class Team. It was a stressful but interesting experience.

High hopes got shattered in s2
I had way to high hopes from season 2 si kince season 1 was dope but I didn't liked it much. The story felt rushed and I also felt that just to show that si-eun will face even more problems since it is season 2 it basically showed anything to make it feel bigger ; like whole union thing and all.
Tbh, I am a little disappointed by season 2. Also the character of Baku felt over acted by Ryeoun.
That's all!
p.s. writing review for the first time( go easy on me)
