An endless warmth after a blistering snow storm.Wei Yifan is so sad and lonely with a painful past, but Sang Yan is just so incredibly caring. He carries a quiet intensity that no matter what life throws at them, he will be the one to keep them afloat. It's funny how it seems like it's the cold ML x naive FL cliche. The dual POVs reveal that their misunderstandings are due to fear to hurt the other when there actually is such a depth of love.
Yifan's trauma is intense and almost triggering. It's understandable why she is the way she is, her strength is quiet but unyielding. Sang Yan is the most chalant nonchalant man I ever witness. He is such a loser in-love that it hurts my eyes.
A second-chance romance that actually is a first love story, Sang Yan had never let go.

“i want to live six years longer than you, that way i can love you for six more years, to make up for the days i left you behind”i dont think anyone can measure upto the yearning i just watched sang yan do. Its one thing to preach about yearning and then actually doing it to this scale. I loved how every episode had the ‘the story is not over yet’ line and kept showing amazing moments. I know that loving is supposed to be unconditional and pure but this one just tops the chart, its probably the most unconditional and pure love i have seen. Infact i dont think people like sang yan exist in this world.
The side characters are awesome too, they show a depth to the show that cant be easily replaced. Its also so cool to know the the ‘hidden love’ is sang zhi’s story too.

A 99% unique chinese romance drama
Oh my! After seeing about 10 episodes, I got to know that this drama is a sequal of Hidden Love. Then, everything clicked for me!! A very very VERY good plotline which can be 100% relatable for us girls, soothing visual, background music which sounded like lullaby to me, beautiful acting, specially, a big shoutout to jingting bai, for his VERY MUCH DETAILED ACTING as sang yan [the little trembling while kissing-having passionate moments-proposing!!!!!!!!!!!😭😭😭]- these things got me in tears-shock-awe-butterflies many times while watching this drama. Also, who doesn't want a bestie like siqiao?! 😭💘 A very beautiful chinese drama I got to watch after many many many days. Thanks to the whole team for this.Was this review helpful to you?
A masterpiece

A memorable feat
I came across this drama while scrolling through TikTok. I didn't know at the time that it would carve such an important place in my heart. The story feels as if someone has truly experienced these emotions before. It offers hope to the brokenhearted—that one day, they will find love again, or more specifically, their love again. A definite MUST WATCH!
Love is patient, love is kind. That is the kind of love he showed her, and eventually she loved him back the same way.Way better than Eat, Run Love. Both leads were amazing in their roles, LOTS of kisses ;) emotional roller coasters, some difficult scenes. 2nd couple was a bit disappointing, although I love Su zai zai ;) the grandfather scenes were redundant I felt. Could have focused more on their romance or struggles.

Okay first I want to say this drama I am really looking forward to. Because my favorite actor This is my honest opinion and does not follow what is currently popular or hot. Honestly, if this drama wasn't Bai Jing Ting, then I think the plot and story of this drama would be very boring. If this wasn't a spin-off of Hidden Love, I'm sure it wouldn't be as popular. Honestly very honestly this drama is even very grey, and awkward if it wasn't for the actors Maybe I wouldn't watch this drama Other actors are not suitable, songs that do not fit the scene and actually make the atmosphere confusing. The epilogue scenes that I think are ambiguous, we should have known that because they were already there. But I persisted because it was said to be good, many people said it was good, secondly because of the visuals of Bai Jing Ting and Zhang Ruonan. Moreover, this drama did not meet my expectations. Too slow
Pro:good music and cute castCon:too slow. Way too slow. I keep waiting to get to the point but it’s so dragged. It’s so melodramatic and feels like it’s trying to more serious and deep. I know the story is probably good and sentimental but it’s way too dramatic for me. I can’t finish this as much as I wish I could. Reviews are very subjective and does not definitive for everyone.

Watch this for Bai Jing Ting.
To start: Do not compare this with Hidden Love even though they are in same universe. Because I started the drama that way and ended up finding too many faults. On its own its a good drama, worth the time and tears you are about to shed.Now, this could have been 10 stars for me had it been shorter and had better side characters. Before I rant about the cons lets talk about pros.
BJT- He carried the show for me. I have loved him in all his dramas and this was no different. He is absolutely incredible as an actor and when he feels emotions, its right there on his face and in his eyes. We are right there feeling it with him. Sang Yan played by him was beautiful and the way I cried for him was unreal. If someone loved me like Sang Yan loved Yifan, I would not ask for anything else in life.
The emotional aspect and the how well Rou Nan pulled off the whole Yifan character. Her dead inside eye look was incredible. She cried so naturally that made me tear up. I would say she needs a little opening up in romantic scenes, but other then that she was great.
The ending, I was sooo happy the mother didn't get forgiveness because she didn't deserve that. The wedding proposal was beautiful and the way Sang Yan recreated same home because Yifan sleep walks, I bawled like a baby.
Now for why I rated it 8 and not 10:
The side characters. Most annoying part of the show and absolutely uninteresting for me. I didn't like anyone of them and didn't end up connecting with them either. I mostly skipped for some portions especially that intern and other unnecessary drama. Hidden love was so on point and focused which made me realise if we focused just on Sang Yan and Yifan it would have been so much better.
The pacing got slow sometimes and that bothered me a bit.
On her own I absolutely loved Yifan and how strong she is as a person. But the way I wanted both couples on equal levels like Sang Yan loved her wayyyyy more than she loved him, even through actions. They could have shown more actions on her part of loving Sang Yan. We didn't get to see much from Yifan's end. In her heart Sang Yan is her only one but as a audience I was hoping to see more of that come to screen. Which made me feel that BJT was carrying the show strongly.
Over all, its worth a watch, wonderful drama that will make you cry so much.
But for Hidden love remains a jewel in my heart I will rewatch multiple times. First Frost might not make my rewatch list and hence doesn't get a 10.

Romantic with social problems
This story focus on romantic but also focusing our attention on the current society problem of girls and the truma they face due to sexual harassment and even more when it's someone we know or relative something family stop going to law saying that it will affect family reputation but we have to fight against them otherwise they will continue do harm to societyWas this review helpful to you?
