Perfect cast | music | plot

I came across the TTCBZ manhua first, then moved on to the novel when the manhua was still incomplete. After finishing the novel, I discovered that the author had written a separate story for SY, which led me to start reading NH. I completely fell in love with it, more deeply than with TTCBZ. From there, I followed the manhua adaptation as it began, and when HL drama was announced, I couldn’t help but hope that NH would get its own drama adaptation as well.

When the casting for SY was first revealed to be VM, I was honestly a bit skeptical. (I’ve actually been a VM fan since before HL aired.) At first, I couldn’t picture him in NH at all and felt somewhat disappointed, even though in the drama, he perfectly embodied SZ’s annoying older brother. I still couldn’t imagine VM as NH’s SY. Until BJT was confirmed as FF's SY. I was genuinely thankful then.

Both the main leads perfectly captured SY and WYF. I honestly don’t care what others say, BJT is perfect for this role and always will be. And HL’s SY belongs to VM. I simply can’t imagine BJT as the loud, annoying older brother. But in FF, SY feels tailor made for BJT, he is SY.

As for the supporting characters, ZSQ didn’t have much presence in the novel, but I liked her because she always supported WYF. In this adaptation, though, she comes off a bit annoying, even if her intentions are good. The romance between the two supporting leads didn’t exist in the novel, so I’m honestly conflicted about it. The drama focuses on their relationship a little too much, and I don’t think it really helps the main plot.

That said, ZRN’s performance truly stood out to me. This is my first time watching both her and BJT, and her crying scenes felt incredibly natural. Her portrayal of WYF went far beyond how I had imagined the character, I cried so much. BJT also did an amazing job. He absolutely owns the color black! Seriously, how can someone look that handsome? Total boyfriend material. The way he portrayed SY was phenomenal, his calmness, his longing for WYF to turn back and look at him, and his endless patience were all portrayed so beautifully. He understands what WYF is afraid of and is willing to wait for her to open up at her own pace, and I loved that. Their chemistry is incredible.

This is my favorite novel, and I have to say, the drama is even better (minus the second leads popping up every other minute). A solid 10/10.

It has everything… beautiful moments that make you smile, and scenes that will make you so mad, you can’t even process it. The intense emotional moments really keep you hooked.

What really stands out is how mature and realistic the main leads are. Their performances feel so genuine, and the chemistry they share is amazing. While it may not be exactly like Hidden Love, The First Frost has its own special magic. It has a way of drawing you in and making you feel everything the characters are going through. The way it handles emotions and relationships makes it such an unforgettable drama.

Simplesmente cativante

Primeiro, vamos começar dizendo o quanto eu esperei por esse drama?
Na época que Hidden Love foi lançado, eu não conhecia as novels, mas devorei a novel de Hidden Love e logo em seguida li a novel de "Hard to Coax", que é a novel que deu origem a esse drama. E eu fui completamente capturada por Sang Yan e Wen Yi Fan, aguardei ansiosamente o anúncio do elenco, vi os reuters das gravações pelo Weibo e contei os dias até o drama sair.

The First Frost entrou, sem sombra de dúvidas, no meu TOP 5 de dramas favoritos. A fotografia do drama me deixou obcecada desde o primeiro episódio, e amei como eles fizeram tal qual a novel, com flashbacks e tempo atual, seguindo a cronologia certinha.
Muita gente reclamou quando saiu o elenco, pois não gostou da troca de atores, nem gostaram da seleção da atriz, mas por ter lido a novel, eu percebi como esses atores seriam perfeitos.
Bai Jing Ting como Sang Yan trouxe toda a profundidade que o personagem precisava, enquanto Zhang Ruo Nan deu o nome como Wen Yi Fan, para contrariar todo mundo que fala mal da atuação dela. Eles brilharam !

A história seguiu um bom ritmo, sem apressar nada, fazendo todas as peças se encaixarem e, aos poucos, WYF ir se abrindo mais com SY e com seus amigos. SY também obtendo as respostas que ele sempre quis e nunca teve, e entendendo todos os motivos da WYF, e sendo o apoio dela sempre.

Un amor lleno de realidad

Pase momentos de dulzura y ñoñería con Amor Oculto, pero este drama me ha sorprendido y para bien, esperaba algo muy dulce y contado por un príncipe en vez de una princesita, nos encontramos con un amor lleno de dolor, como las parejas reales hay días buenos y muy malos, toca temas profundos y las actuaciones son impresionantes y eso que este actor es muy joven aún, me dejó con la boca abierta varias veces, con lo fácil que trasmite sus sentimientos. Me encanta ese punto pícaro y bufón que le da profundidad a su personaje. La banda sonora es perfecta. Llevo tiempo sin ver un drama tan bueno en actuación y trama. Ojalá llegue muy alto en la lista de puntuación porque se lo merece.
