I love chaotic evil women
Let me say the good things first, and that is, MU XUANLING!I love her character so much, very chaotic, slightly evil, prepared to kill and just flirtatious while doing it. I know she's been obsessed with XXC but I always find it refreshing when an FL falls first like YES GIVE THE GIRL WHAT SHE WANTS! She want it, she can have it! Much more satisfying imo.
Sangqi's water did pissed me off a bit (I hate amnesia tropes and this is basically a form of it) but it brought back evil MXL so I was happy again, and this time XXC likes her 😋
The thing is, MXL is basically Pearl but at the same time they're not. Their different circumstance and timeline definitely shaped their personality so I can see how very distinct they are with each other.
But after seeing a comment about how the novel ended, the writers in this series really tried to be smart but it was just confusing tbh. Time travel/Fate storyline is so complex and it could either be a big hit or miss. In the surface, it made sense, but when you really think about it, IT DOESN'T. They should've really stick to the novel. Though, atleast Zhao Ming and Pearl had a little closure and it hurts thinking Zhao Ming had to experience that Lava Prison AGAIN just so they can make the future right.
Anyway, Mister being future XXC is such a cool detail.

Blossoming masterpiece
There are few actors whose presence on screen transcends the ordinary, whose performances resonate so deeply that they linger long after the credits roll. Vin Zhang is one of those rare souls whose charm is not merely skin-deep but is woven into every fiber of his being. His breathtakingly handsome looks are just the surface—what truly captivates is the power and depth he brings to each character. With every slight flicker of his eyes, Vin speaks a language beyond words, a language that conveys the weight of worlds, the heartache of lost love, the fire of unwavering devotion, and the quiet strength of a soul torn between duty and desire. His eyes, so expressive, carry the emotions of his characters like a storm brewing on the horizon—calm, yet undeniably intense. In a single glance, he can convey the aching longing of a man lost in his thoughts, the quiet pain of a hero who carries more than his share of burdens, or the wrath of someone wronged, ready to strike back with unrelenting vengeance.
And then, there are those lips—perfectly sculpted and effortlessly captivating. The way they move, whether in a quiet, tender smile or in the heat of a passionate exchange, they have the power to make your heart skip a beat or race with excitement. In every interaction, those lips deliver not just dialogue, but emotion, meaning, and a depth of character that pulls the viewer in. You find yourself suspended in time, waiting for that next moment, that next breath, that next exchange. With every kiss, every word spoken, every movement of his lips, the screen comes alive in ways few actors can achieve.
Vin’s impeccable elegance shines through not only in his appearance but in the way he inhabits each character. Whether he is playing the noble hero, the tortured soul, or even the villain driven by revenge, Vin Zhang does so with unparalleled grace. It’s his ability to embody the full spectrum of human emotions—from calm serenity to intense anguish, from fierce anger to quiet devotion—that makes him not just an actor, but a true artist. Each performance is a masterclass in subtlety and nuance. The way he can hold a scene with just his presence, or evoke such raw emotion from the simplest gesture, speaks volumes about his exceptional talent.
But what truly sets Vin Zhang apart is his extraordinary range. In "The Blossoming Love" , he took on roles so varied, so emotionally complex, and made each of them his own. There was the calm, collected figure of a devoted hero ready to sacrifice everything, the tortured man carrying a world of pain, the antagonist consumed by anger and revenge—all brought to life with a depth and sincerity that felt as real as it was compelling. Watching him navigate each of these contrasting emotions was a journey in itself. Each character was so beautifully realized, you couldn’t help but feel every ounce of their love, their anguish, their longing, their rage—as if these emotions were your own.
To witness Vin’s dedication to his craft is to see the essence of what it means to be an actor. He doesn’t just perform; he lives each moment, each line, each expression with a kind of truth and honesty that is simply magnetic. It’s rare to find someone who can make you believe, not just in the world of the show, but in the depth of their soul. With Vin Zhang, every moment feels genuine, every emotion felt deeply, every gesture meaningful. It’s a reminder that true artistry goes beyond the script—it’s in the heart, the eyes, the very breath of the actor.
So, to anyone who has yet to experience the magic of Vin Zhang, I urge you to take a step into his world. Allow yourself to be swept away by his incredible talent, his undeniable charm, and the heartfelt passion he pours into every role. Whether you’re already a fan of Xianxia or just looking for a story that will capture your heart, Vin Zhang’s performance will leave an imprint on your soul.
In a world full of fleeting moments, there are few actors who manage to make every second on screen feel timeless. Vin Zhang is one of those rare artists who can make your heart ache, your breath catch, and your mind wander long after the credits have rolled. His performances are a gift, a journey of love, pain, longing, and beauty—one you won’t want to miss.
All other characters were fuel to the fire. Well balanced and enhanced the beauty of the show. It's my first time watching the FL but she truly stole my heart with her mesmerizing character portrayal and flawless delivery. This truly is a masterpiece that deserves to be seen and recognized. I hope you get to enjoy it as much as I did.
On a sidenote, the music is epic and has been added to my phone ring :)

Started so good but went on too long
I watch EP 1-30 without skipping as the acting and storyline were so good!!! but then i felt like the last 10 eps or so were so extra and unnecessary dragging out to me :(. The SML were just obsessed and psychotic w/ FL like oh my god... wish they didn't drag storyline! or else this drama would be so much better lolWas this review helpful to you?

Love that conquered worlds, timeloops and Fate
I'm so happy with the way this drama ended, it was done beautifully, tying up all the lead stories and charcater arcs nicely! The last episodes, especially 37-40 were amazing! The sacrifies, fight scenes, the meticulous planning to destroy the Creator of their world, and Mr Nan going as far as to break the 4th wall when he asked Feng Yao whether their world was a painting on the fan and someone else was controlling the strings.
This drama although has a heavy dose of fantasy, it also throws in a lot of deep, meaningful dialogues that gets you thinking on the kind of life you're living. It conjures psychological questions on love, life and fate of the humans guided by some external power.
Now coming to the ML, FL and Second Lead, I absolutely love this trio! Especially when they end up working together to fight against Hao Tian. That is something worth watching and cheering for them to win the battle!
I was there for the main leads but the Second lead caught my eye. Don't get me wrong, I really do like the main cp, but... I was rooting for the second lead Mr. Nan as well 😁
I know Mr. Nan being the second lead, will not end up with the FL, but I was hoping he gets a nice ending. The man has been suffering so much since the start of the series.
It kinda reminds me of Ashes of Love with its second lead and the torture he goes through. No matter how much he bleeds, how much he sacrifices and does everything to keep the FL safe, she still runs into the ML arms as expected.
Saw this actor play side character in Fangs of Fortune as well, as Yichen's big brother, even there this poor guy didn’t get to live long and was killed by Zhu Yan during his rampage.
I do like the main cp, but this guy with his sad story really pulls at the heartstrings. He's really good at minute expressions and plays his role very well. His expressions and dialogue delivery for not wanting to be the bad guy and steal the girl, but still try in his own way to win her heart and even then fail at it miserably...yeah I'm suffering from the second-lead syndrome out here lol.
Hoping he bags a main lead role after the popularity of this series!
Rewatch value: 10/10 !

I love Zhang BinBin and have already watched almost all his previous projects. I feel he is an underrated actor.
This is my first time watching something of Zhenni and Wang Duo, and both of them are amazing actors and have their own charisma. I will watch their other works.
I don’t understand the negative reviews. This drama is addicting. The fact is people only care about big/popular actors, not the acting and storyline. The excellent actors and actresses of this series immerse you in their story with their unique acting and make you understand the story better. You can enjoy the series.

Turned Out Better Than Expected
I have always been a fan of Vin Zhang, but have been disappointed in some of the roles he acted in. Normally a cold, dispassionate person who some how wins the girl in the end. This drama is different because he actually has more than a stone face and cold tone to show us. It started out that way for sure, but after a couple of episodes, his character began to change. For the first time, I actually saw a humorous side of Vin Zhang. Even some modern dramas that was humorous didn't show his characters sense of humor. Sun Zhen Ni is at one of her best roles IMO. Both leads have great chemistry towards each other. I'm glad I didn't drop this drama. Was this review helpful to you?

Good drama but Bad ending
I didn't want write a review but wrote for find answer for my questions. All things in this drama was so good, actually l decided to rewatch this drama but after watching ending this drama Disappointed me.
How much think l couldn't understand how this drama has happy ending, story Logically, this ending is impossible.
It needed at least one episode to show us how the xie xue chen is live,
this is she remembered the xie xue chen save him in past in the end but we know xie xue chen should died that time

Started off really strong but for me fell off in the last 12 episodes.
I feel like the writers did a good job in world building and how it presented its characters. One of its strengths was how well the writers were able to write the villains and even the gray parts of the story. The first 27 episodes kept me glued to my screen but when we reached episode 28, I felt like the writers were stuck and didn't know how to finish the story. A lot of what we saw in the last 12 episodes or so was already rehashed from episodes before. Granted it was elaborated more and showed the audience what had happened. It still dragged for me. I had a hard time keeping interest and mostly kept going back to rewatch Moonlight Mystique episodes. I think this is where the writers/story failed. Other than that, I think had the plot had weaven everything together better my rating would be higher. Also, the ending had this feeling of rushed but I guess that can't be helped with just the 40 episodes cap.The best part of this series was definitely the FL. I loved Mu Xualing so much and I liked how she wasn't the typical female lead. SZN did well in portraying MXL: strong, detemined, fiery, seductress, bad ass, innocent, cunning etc. I think after this she will get many more opportunities because she deserves them. As for VZ I had trouble connecting with his character another reason why I rate this an 8. If I can't connect with actors, then I'm not going to like the drama that much. I feel like he did a good job with Xie Xuchen but he was also missing something that made me not care as much about XXC. VZ and SZN did have good chemistry which made the drama watchable. Despite NYX being the villain, he ended up being one of my favorites. Sometimes I liked him more than the ML.
In the end my rating is 8/10.

Strong acting group, very good stroy
I was waited for this drama since last year. I read the original story, I love both leads for their acting capabilities. Zhang BinBin is a very versatile actor who can act in various personalities and portray the emotions by his eyes. The FL is a very good actress as well. The whole cast were very strong in their act and their chemistry was so good. The 3D views were very amazing as well. It was clear that there was a lot of time and budget was behind it. I was very happy to see every moment of it.
The music was exciting and full of emotion and matched with the story .
Now let's go to the story itself. Warning ⚠️ there are some spoil in the following text.
The story at the begining was matched with the original story wich make it really strong. The small changes were make it even better in some cases. And I have to say the original story with all of its plot twists were very good and attractive for me. But in the drama from the awakening of demon lord the twists were to bring the second ML to a good light while he was not in the original story and make an unknown higher power the bad character. I didn't like this version of ending it didn't make any sense. It was like they wanted to create a good character out of a dark character by forcing an altered story which didn't make sense at the end either. Because when I watched the last episode until the end. The ending didn't make any sense. Not the waking up not the xie xuchen personality which was mixed of demon lord Zhao ming with Xie Xuchen. Non of it fall in the right position for me. Although I like the whole drama and even its story line was really good but if I want to choose among the ending, I would choose the ending of the original story not the ending of the drama eventhough nothing changed for the 3 leads character. But the original story was more exciting and make more sense.
The only reason that I didn't give it the full 10 score is the ending ( notice it is a good ending).

Review of The Blossoming Love
Let't talk about this show.Story wise, It is a refreshing show wherein the fl is the demon while the ml is the hero. The fl is someone who knows what she want and not afraid to show it whereas the ml in the first few episode are the usual cold saviour of the world.
Now what makes this story unique for me is how the story unfold as the show goes on. There are plot twist after plot twist and the relationship between each character goes crazy. I also love how the ml and fl loved and trusted each other deeply, there is minimal misunderstand between them.
---
Spoiler Example: The ml killing the sfl dad due to being possessed-which in later episode shows that he is possessed by himself who tries to change the past in order to save the fl which set a domino effect.
---
However, what I do found disappointing is how the 10,000 years of waiting is not given a detail story (the novel also didn't dwell on it and that maybe the reason why the show didn't).
Now let's talk about the cast.
There are a lot of great actors/actress in this show which helps in bringing the show to life. The female lead-Mu Xuanling (Sun Zhenni) is acted to perfection, she brings the character to life to the point I sometimes forgot she is acting, she is able to act as a seductress and at the same time a cutie (she is very cute). The male lead-Xie Xuecheng (Zhang Bin) while stiff at first shows a great improvement once he accepted the fact that he loved the fl. Kudos to Wang Duo who played as Nan Xuyue, a natural actor who did a perfect job in bringing his character to life.
Overall I have enjoyed this show a lot, and also kudos to the director and other crew members who help in this show. They managed to turn a classic novel into something unique.
Ps. I really like the difference between the characters in the novel vs the characters in the show; In the novel certain characters were given classic role and all of them have ending except for the main couple whereas in the show, their characters shows depth and they all got the happy ending they deserved

A Hidden Gem That Will Play With Your Emotions
The Blossoming Love is a hidden gem of xianxia, and I genuinely don't understand why it's not being talked about more. Maybe it's because it uses all the familiar xianxia tropes and doesn't really bring anything original to the table. But honestly? If you just want something with high-stakes romance, great visuals, and a fitting soundtrack that will destroy you emotionally — this is a great drama to pick up.The acting across the board is solid. The leads, the supporting cast, and even the child actors all bring it. The little girl playing A'Bao especially deserves a shoutout — she was wonderful. No cringe moments at all, which, let's be real, is a common thing in a lot of fantasy dramas.
Now, considering this drama is only a couple of years old, the CGI could have been a little better. I will say, though, I'm not entirely sure if this was partly an issue on my end, because I tried watching the drama across a couple of different apps due to problems with Viki in the first half. That said, it genuinely felt like the color grading and CGI were noticeably weaker at the beginning and got progressively better toward the end. All the scenes set in the Dark Domain are very, very pretty. But the earlier episodes in Snow City somehow look duller in comparison — both in color grading and effects. It almost feels like the post-production was uneven in places. I don't know how else to explain it. The good news is that the scenes that need to land an emotional and proverbial fantasy punch (everything in the divine realm was so pretty) are done really well, and that's what matters most.
The music score for this drama is genuinely one of the best I've heard. The actual songs and the background score alike — they set the mood perfectly and play a very important part in the story.
Let’s get into the characters now.
While the drama starts out quite romance-heavy and focuses mostly on Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling, you'll start to notice that Nan Xuyue gets more and more screen time as the story goes on. At first, it's honestly kind of irritating, and if you're impatient like me, you might be tempted to skip his scenes. Don't. It all makes a lot more sense toward the end after the revelations start dropping. This is as much a love story as it is the story of three people who have the weight of the world on their shoulders.
Nan Xuyue is actually a really interesting and multifaceted character. He's constantly switching between being good and being bad, toeing the line in shades of grey. Xie Xuechen, on the other hand, is comparatively plain and a little boring at first because he's just *too* good for most of the drama — until he does a total switch in Episode 29. Vin Zhan absolutely slayed as the Demon Lord there. That was a full adrenaline-rush, giggling-like-a-maniac moment for me — the kind you get when the good guy turns into the bad guy. Some of the best character reveals and introductions in the history of xianxia, I said what I said. The scene was impressively done.
Honestly, Vin Zhan as the Demon Lord has real aura. I genuinely wish the script had given us fewer episodes leading up to that moment and a more episodes with him *being* the Demon Lord. As the Demon Lord, he had some really interesting interactions with Mu Xuanling, but I wanted more. I think that could have been great dynamic contrast in the dynamic at the beginning he had with her when he was good and she was bad. I understand why we weren't given more than we got, but it could have been such a compelling subplot to explore further.
Overall, the lead couple had a believable romance, and I enjoyed it quite a lot. Their emotional moments were great and impactful, and Sun Zhen Ni was fantastic in the role of Mu Xuanling.
Now here's where I get on my soapbox. There's this thing that happens in some costume dramas where the romance starts heavy on skinship in the first half — kissing, making out, all the good stuff — and then after a certain pivotal moment, we get absolutely nothing for the rest of the show. This was a flaw in The Blossoming Love. Mu Xuanling literally throws herself at the man multiple times and he doesn’t stop her. We get a lot of sweet, intimate moments between the leads in the first twenty episodes. And then it's a drought until the very last episode. Zhao Ming and A Zhu don't even get an on-screen kiss despite being the one couple in this drama that actually gets married. Make it make sense.
As someone who also writes romance, here's my take: if you're going to include skinship in a romantic storyline, it needs to build. Starting hot and then dousing the viewers with cold water for the rest of the show is counterproductive. You either build up to the romantic moments gradually, or you don't include skinship at all. Pick a lane.
There were some additional couples in the show that I mostly enjoyed, especially the secondary couple. They were cute and had an interesting past love story. That said, we really did not need as much screen time for some of the other supporting pairings. Some of those scenes were way too draggy. Luckily, this drama doesn't have too many drawn-out moments overall, but the ones that drag tend to be overly emotional scenes wear characters need to say everything they never had a chance to say because they’re dying or at least one of them is dying. If you're like me and have no patience, feel free to skip through them — you won't miss much.
There were a few poorly directed moments that stuck out to me. For example, in Episode 15, during the battle between Xie Xuechen and Sang Qi, Mu Xuanling is just… standing there. Doing nothing. I don't know if that's how it plays out in the source material, but the scene could have been directed so much better. She sticks out like a sore thumb. At the very least, the director could have told her to react — scream, look distressed, do something — because it just looked really odd.
While there are quite a lot of supporting characters, unlike in some recent dramas I've watched, most of them actually bring something to the table. Some of them seem unimportant at first because they're not doing anything particularly special early on, but we do see why they're there by the end. Patience pays off with this one.
Like with many xianxias, The Blossoming Love suffers from the rushed ending with no explanation of how things end up being the way they are. But at the very least we get a happy ending. However, I still have way too many questions because when our characters return into whatever timeline they’re supposed to return, we have no clue what happened to all the other supporting characters who were in the middle of the apocalyptic attack while our three leads were trying to reset the timeline.
Final Verdict
If you aren't looking for anything groundbreaking and it's been a while since you've watched a xianxia and you just want something emotional with good acting— this is a good one to check out.
In a nutshell, The Blossoming Love is one of those rare xianxias that, despite a faulty script and imperfect CGI, doesn’t miss the pivotal moments when it comes to emotional impact. It capitalizes on every single one of them. Some dramas I've watched recently have a tendency to skim over important reveals by just feeding the information to viewers without any kind of wow factor. The Blossoming Love doesn't miss those opportunities. It does a genuinely great job of planting information early and then making you experience all that emotional distress later when you're finally putting two and two together. I think that’s the reason why I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Plus, the Demon Lord arrival scene in Episode 29 lives in my head rent free.
