Worth It
At first I was skeptical but after seeing the trailer and try on the first two episode, it actually was very good. From acting, story, and most important was the romance. Love the slow burn romance and 21 episode they make it really good. For those who really like slow romance, enjoyable drama try this give it a couple episode. Was this review helpful to you?
A MASTERPIECE of humanity and wisdom. To (re)watch without moderation (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
Very nice romantic & family series with Li Xian & Zhou Yu Tong as CL, which sincerely addresses tough themes (disability, death, mourning, trauma, old age, etc.)PLOT: FL, a sales manager, returns to her hometown for vacation. There she finds her high school friend (rebel), the ML, who has become Funeral Director. They will reweave their bond, and try to heal each other's wounds. But their way of life is very different...
PROS:
+++ CL brilliant, beautiful, talented, with palpable alchemy & without prudery (mature romance and natural kisses). They bring to life deep, wounded, but intelligent, determined characters... Kudo ! I loved this couple!
+++ excellent supporting actors, who bring to life complex, unique, very endearing characters.
+++ a realistic description of life in "small" Chinese towns (tradition, culture, customs, interpersonal relationships,...)
+++ the context is very unusual: I learned a lot about the funeral profession and this drama changed the way I view this activity
+++ the production is lively, direct, without length or unnecessary scenes, without procrastination. Everything (sets, costumes, locations) is realistic and coherent. WELL DONE !
+ very good OSTs
+ Death is mentioned a lot in this drama, without false modesty and with a lot of wisdom.
=> A MASTERPIECE of humanity and wisdom. To (re)watch without moderation (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Zhou Yutong disappointed me..!
Acting is great but Fl's character is confusing and annoying..! At start she started off like she is an independent woman but later on her obsession towards Shanghai..,to me it seemed disgusting..! and Li Xian is Brilliant as always..! Chen Nai Nai and Lin Nai nai's Sisterly bond is As Pure as Coconut water 😇 their Sismance is Divine ✨..! And here comes the reason why i watched this drama..! eventhough Zhou Yutong is used to be one of my favourites, But I worship Wanpeng..! she is my goddess..! starting from "My Girlfriend is an alien" .! i especially checked the cast and Later found out my goddess and immediately started watching this one..! she is such a cutie, elegant, and Most beautiful actress ever..! I'm crazyily in love with her 😍😍😍 Her Bff bond with Zhou yutong is also a Visual Treat.! and He Niao Niao is the cutest of all the Characters inside the drama.!Was this review helpful to you?
I will recommend it to everyone around
It is difficult to describe what I experienced while watching each episode from joy with hatred to butterflies in my stomach. very natural acting, beautiful locations, excellent camera work and the most beautiful musical accompaniment! There were no incomprehensible moments between the lines. The life of ordinary people is shown very realistically. The main characters are very unusual: the heroine with disabilities, the main character works at an unusual work for me personally and brought their fate for the second time. It is important to emphasize the secondary characters. Especially the native main characters, they played very well. If there was an opportunity, I would evaluate them 100/10Was this review helpful to you?

Well written, exceptional acting and aesthetically pleasing
If you're looking for cliche childish and stupid romcom this isn't for you and please don't bother dropping your 2 cents here coz you're not qualified to do so.First off the cinematography is top notch felt like I'm watching a movie with solid backing.
The casting is great and these actors' work is really admirable not just the leads but also the supporting cast.
The soundtrack is also pleasing and apt.
It's well paced there seems some cuts but overall nothing too hasty or too slow so it keeps you hooked.
One thing I prolly complain would be the abrupt endings at each episode but dat would prolly because it's meant to be binged?
It's just 5 EPs now but from what I've seen I'm giving it an A+

Quite a surprise
I'm new to C-Dramas and only watch romance dramas. However, I think this also fits the "slice of life" genre as well. I didn't know what to expect from it, but wow, was I pleasantly surprised! I've never seen the ML or FL in a drama yet, and they were wonderful. They did a terrific job in their roles, especially the ML, Li Xian! He was able to portray being aloof, compassionate, anger, deeply in love, deeply hurt, etc. so well. It really is a perfect romance drama. It's about families facing challenges together, putting others first (as it should be), compromising, fulfilling goals and dreams, and most importantly to me. . . realizing that as wonderful as it is to have a fulfilling and accomplished career, at the end of the day, it's double the enjoyment out of life if you have someone to share it with. A line that was said during this drama that I copied and will use into the future:". . . a relationship that leaves no trace of existence won't help anyone grow." Wow. So true, one of the messages in this drama is don't just live for today, but work on relationships that will last a lifetime.

Interesting and thought-provoking drama about anxious-avoidant love, life and death
Will Love in Spring is quite an interesting drama that feels mature, thoughtful, and realistic, while still carrying a warm and cozy vibe. One of the first things you notice when starting this drama, and what quickly sets it apart from a typical romance, is the unconventional background of its two leads. The male lead works as a funeral makeup artist, while the female lead is an amputee who uses a prosthetic leg. Both of them are flawed, nuanced, and shaped by different kinds of pain, which naturally influences how they love and deal with relationships.
The male lead exhibits an avoidant attachment style, shaped by a deep fear of abandonment rooted in early emotional losses: his parents separated and left him to be raised by his grandmother, his best friend died in a violent altercation, and the female lead left town after high school. This is further reinforced by his profession, which constantly exposes him to death and requires emotional detachment, gradually conditioning him to closing himself off and keeping distance with others. In relationships, it seems that his first instinct whenever there is a conflict or a possibility of getting hurt is to withdraw and walk away. His defense mechanism is to leave before the other person has the chance to leave him so that he won’t get hurt.
Meanwhile, the female lead struggles with deep insecurities surrounding her amputated leg and her sense of self-worth. She often feels the need to prove that she is capable and living well, so others will not look at her with pity. To protect herself, she masks this vulnerability behind a cheerful, carefree, flirtatious exterior. Even in tense moments, she tends to laugh things off and act as if nothing serious has happened, even though she may be deeply affected internally. Her anxious attachment style is likely shaped by the sudden death of her father in childhood, which instills a lingering fear that love and the people she loves can disappear at any moment without warning. Because of this, she becomes hyper-aware in relationships and tends to seek reassurance. This explains why some of her behaviors can come across as needy or clingy, especially when she cannot reach the male lead or when he goes silent.
This creates a compelling push-and-pull dynamic between an avoidant male lead and an anxious female lead. When conflict arises, he instinctively retreats into silence and distance, while she responds by moving closer, trying to reconnect and stabilize the bond.
They gradually learn to communicate better and move toward a more secure and healthier way of loving. The female lead learns that distance and silence don’t automatically mean abandonment. Even when the male lead withdraws or doesn’t express himself, it doesn’t mean his feelings have changed. He is still emotionally present and giving her space to process and think things through. The male lead, on the other hand, learns that closeness does not equal loss of control or emotional danger. Even when the relationship feels uncertain or the female lead is still unsure about their future, that uncertainty doesn’t mean the bond is unsafe. She isn’t abandoning him, and they can work through things together.
The drama also touches on themes of death and transformation. While this may feel a bit heavy or preachy for some viewers, it works well for those who enjoy some philosophical messages. The idea that death is not disappearance, but a transformation from one physical form to another, reminds me of the Buddhist philosophy in the book No Death, No Fear: Comforting Wisdom for Life by Thich Nhat Hanh. The male lead’s profession and the social stigma around it also bring to mind the Japanese film Departures. Some of the reflections on death and grief further echo the book Fresh Water for Flowers by Valérie Perrin, such as this quote "People buy special urns or beautiful tombstones to make their loved one stand out. Those are just illusions. Once you're dead, you're dead. Therefore, live the best life you can, while you can."
Overall, the message I took from the drama is that life is short, so live fully and choose to love first instead of waiting to be loved. Start living rather than hesitating out of fear. Life can be messy, and we will experience pain and disappointment, but those emotions are exactly what make life meaningful and memorable. A full range of emotions is what makes life feel alive.
I’ll end this with a dialogue from the male and female leads.
FL: Only babies use vulnerability as a weapon to manipulate grown-ups. We have to stop being a kid. When we were kids, we needed our parents’ love to carry on. But being loved isn’t a natural thing in the first place. We are not the center of the world.
ML: Then how should we live then?
FL: Go ahead and love. Love others, instead of waiting to be loved. This is the only way for a child to become an adult.

At last a well rounded Chinese drama
It has got to be one one of the best Chinese drama I've ever watched. Maturity, finesse, sensitivity. It got it all. And the casting was perfection. Each and every one of them inhabited their role, never betraying the character and so much balance in portraying these stories about love, ambition, death, loneliness, aging, family etc. This drama is a gem.

Finally two grown ups interacting like adults and loving like adults
One oerson mentiined that this story is too “preachy” … thats is true…ML works as main person in a funeral home… so he is confronted with desth everyday… and of course, this influences the narrative of the show… sometimes a bit melancholic but overall quite sweet…
So… finally a story where the FL speaks normally, acts like a woman, and lives like a modern, working individual, with goals and dreams… she jokes, talks, like a normal woman,,, no dead fish kiss or fake ones… much appreciated for that…
Story is kind of slow pace, but nice…
FL and ML have history together from the past.. and they reconnect… leading to flirting, friendship and falling in love… in a very realistic manner.
The interactions with their family and friends are very normal… you learn quickly to like them…
She is flawed… he is temperamental…. Discussions, break ups, reconciliations are part of their relationship, which is very real.
Some people found her too selfish and he too accommodating…. There is a bit of truth, but slowly you see her change… not perfect but it is there.
Chemistry is pretty good… in the little details…
Overall, I recommend it… 21 ep x 30 mins goes super fast

Life Lessons
I honestly went into this, like most other dramas I watch, almost blind. I added it to my list without much thought - and I'm so glad I did. When I saw this was up next on my list, I read the synopsis again and knew I was in for a ride. This one show taught me lessons I needed to hear right now in my life. They were harsh, but they needed to be said. I wish this was on other platforms so I could share it with my family. This was phenomenal. I enjoyed every bit of this - minus the last scare at the end. PLEASE take the time and watch this. You won't regret it. At least, I don't believe you will.9.5/10
