Potential for a season 2?

I think the show leaves some very important questions unanswered...Did the feelings between Gam and Pepper just disappear? But even more importantly: Will Thame´s fans find out about his relationship? If or rather When they do, how will the company handle it? I think there is a lot of potential for a second season where they could explore some of these issues. The way it was left right now I also don´t like the implications it has for LYKN. If their fans ever find out that their dating will Riser react the way that Oner did? I think they could have really made a strong statement here in that regard. Of course they kind of do that with the character of Baifern who in the end learns to treat Thame the way she would anybody else and gets over her parasocial relationships with the members. But is that enough? Not imo. Apart from that this show is truely amazing. Yes it is slowburn but it is romantic and beautiful and the characters have become a great comfort to me. Will definetly rewatch this show in the winter when I need some warmth.

High contender for BL of the year but unexpectedly tripped midway

Its enemy-to-lovers trope, idol setup, and overall appearance evoke K-Drama vibes. GMMTV made the best decision to bring their boy group into acting, as all five of them performed well in their respective roles. The concept was already unique for a Thai-BL, which made them different from the rest.

I want to re-experience those butterflies in my stomach moments when I watched the first few episodes when Thame and Po are just starting to flirt and get to know each other. Its sequence of having two parts of the story per episode was clever. Every EP begins with Thame trying to win back the hearts of his members and the last part focuses on Thame and Po’s romance. It covers my favorite moments from the show. One is when Thame memorized Po’s number. Second was the very long phone call with Thame learning Po’s favorite song overnight to play it to him. And of course, the jealousy scenes.

Throughout these EPs, I am patiently waiting for Friday to come faster. Not until they ruined Jun’s character and used him to align the romance between the main couple. I hate that they made it so evident that Jun admires Po to some extent. But select the latter to conceal his feelings and reason out of helping his dear friend Thame to realize things. I know that ThamePo will be the end game but they can make a better conclusion to Jun’s story.

Right after this EP, we’re back again with the same issue of who stay and who should leave Mars. It was too dull and repeated, together with the break-up scenes. The downfall from having a perfect ten to nearly reaching an 8-9 score was dissatisfying. At least the concert at the end was good enough for me to realize that this show still deserves a 9/10 for the overall impact.

A few more notable elements were the set of beautiful OSTs and Est and his greatness in delivering his role as a soft and gentle lover. He is so pretty even when he cries that I want to see more of his dramatic scenes in the future.

A Well-Made Drama with an Idol Protagonist

I found the drama well-produced, with an interesting story and an idol protagonist. I liked the exploration of the idol world and the boldness in casting a T-Pop idol as a BL protagonist, which I consider innovative. Of course, this choice was a great commercial strategy by GMMTV, but I confess I would have liked to see more, such as a relationship between group members (and I still hope that happens).
Overall, I found the drama well-made and the relationship between the protagonists very cute. I would like to highlight the character Jun, who was interesting and fun. The songs are nice. The ending seemed a bit unrealistic to me, but I understand that it wasn't the main focus of the drama.
In summary, it's a good drama that's worth watching. Personally, I wouldn't place it among my favorites, as I found it a bit boring. However, I didn't identify any problems with the production itself, so I believe it's just a matter of personal taste.

Just beautiful!

I'm writing this months after watching the series because I've just created an account here. But I've been following the actors Thame and Po (William and Est) eversince. They are both highly talented actors and singers. Their chemistry in ThamePo was very convincing and the storyline done well.
I've also been following the band members who are all equally as talented and all have captured my interest for months now.

Definitely a show to re-watch

Sincerely, the thing about this show is the way everything is portrayed. The troubles of loving or dating a non-idol and the troubles or disbandment. If you are looking for something that pulls your heartstrings, makes you feel so invested, and gives an insight on the industry, "ThamePo Heart That Skips a Beat" is a great choice. From the actors to the music and outfits, this was just an amazing and creative show. Though it was William and Est's first time together, they painted everything with emotion and left some of us in awe. (BTW: The songs a re so catchy and really good.)

Huge topics about asian fandoms and idol's public/private lifes!

Really there are lots of investments in looking this series so good, nice scenery, clothing, night lighting and all that little details. Great in the plot to get to know all the desires and dreams for the all members of the boy's band "MARS" and the inner personal issues they have, the complicated decision to stay or leave the industry through all the problems and fandom drama they actually fear every time.

Thame -Po delivers a romantic love story, but also an intense reflection on the idol's industry and all the struggles they survive to keep alive under the stage lights. A very cruel and transparent reality that is happening lots of times in Thailand, but any other asian idols could apply to be dealing with this and worse.

Worth watching all the episodes, there is something new to deal each one, just the last one got so confusing, like it is hard to decide if all was for the best or just got everything worst and more complicated for the protagonist couple, I would prefer a more deep and detailed happy ending, the actual one is so open that is not very clear if it's good or bad.

Worth mentioning "Est" Supha, WHAT A GREAT ACTOR! Wow! The final episodes are so intense, and he delivers so great. This series went awesome by having him holding all the plot, and he got to manage all of that. Go watch it, love it, and that's it!

The Acting!!

This really worked for me because it’s not just the romance—the friendship dynamics stand out just as much. The bonds between the characters feel genuine, like they actually rely on each other, and that adds a lot of emotional weight to the story.
The acting is sooo good.
The chemistry across the group keeps it engaging, and the drama never feels empty because you care about the connections.
Overall, it’s a 10/10 for me—solid acting, strong emotional pull, and friendships that actually matter to the story.

Po got massively on my nerves

The plot idea is really good, and that they included a real idol group in this is honestly mind-boggling for someone like me who's into K-Pop as well. I didn't know LYKN before this but definitely checked out their music afterwards. Why the relatively low rating then? It's because of Po's character. He nearly made me go insane. I just wanted to scream at him through basically every episode; his character seemed constantly sleepy and absent from the scene - Idk if it's poor acting or if they told Est to do it like this, but it made Po look totally lame. Also, I'm sorry if this is an unpopular opinion, but there was absolutely 0 chemistry between Est and William.

Is there anything worth saying about it other than just great, awesome, I love it? I was really looking forward to this drama and at the same time I didn't want it to end (I'm finally getting to the review after all the disappointments). The series is about the main character named Po, who has the task of documenting the last concert of the boy band Mars before they disband. I would say that he becomes friends with the leader of the group (Thame) suspiciously quickly. Of course, I'm not complaining about their rapprochement, hahaha. But Thame is supposed to debut in Korea, leaving the rest of the members without understanding. So our beloved Po is trying to prevent this - Thame's wish btw. I won't tell you more, no spoilers. Anyway, I loved the band lykn even before the series itself aired, so I was excited that the members would play there and I fell in love with them even more. The songs are great, catchy, her acting can be described in one word and that is wow, because honestly I have no words, it was perfect, even the chemistry between Poe and Thame (oh yeah, the inflection is so bad). There were also tears in the scenes, which kinda surprised me, because I don't cry much in bl, but here I praised their acting skills and bleated like a turtle. And the last thing I would like to say is that this series is worth watching and mentioning, it shows exactly what even jealous fans can do to a beautiful relationship and how it can hurt the artists themselves. So if you're in the mood for some bl romance (innocent please, it's nice to sit asf and I love it), I definitely recommend this masterpiece. And I'll throw in a song that's like an ost and I miss it a lot XD.

ThamePo: Heart That Skips a Beat – A BL Masterpiece That Steals Your Heart and Soul!

ThamePo: Heart That Skips a Beat is an absolute masterpiece of Thai BL storytelling that tugs at your heartstrings from the very first frame and leaves you breathless by the finale. This 13-episode gem from GMMTV captures the intoxicating highs and devastating lows of idol life with such raw passion, making every moment feel profoundly personal and alive.

Stunning Face Cards and Talents
The leads' face cards are simply otherworldly—William Jakrapatr as Thame boasts chiseled perfection with those piercing eyes that smolder on stage and soften in vulnerability, while Est Supha's Po radiates boy-next-door charm with a smile that lights up the screen like dawn breaking. Their dancing? Pure fire! The concert scenes explode with synchronized precision and electric energy, showcasing William's fluid hip rolls and powerful spins that command the stage, backed by the LYKN boys whose real-debut-level talent makes every choreography feel like a live arena spectacle. It's not just dancing; it's artistry that pulses with sweat, rhythm, and unfiltered joy, leaving you cheering from your couch.

Production Magic
Hats off to the production team for that jaw-dropping in-series concert—hell, the editing must have been a Herculean feat, seamlessly blending massive crowd shots, dynamic camera sweeps, and intimate close-ups into a visceral live-event illusion that had me fist-pumping in awe. The visuals pop with vibrant lighting and flawless VFX, turning fictional performances into heart-racing realities that rival actual K-pop spectacles, all while weaving the emotional core of Thame and Po's bond right into the chaos.

Emotional OST Mastery
The OST is a breathtaking symphony of soul-stirring tracks that glue every scene to your heart—"Heart Skip" and the band's anthems swell with melody and lyrics that mirror the characters' turmoil, connecting so deeply you feel the lyrics echoing your own hidden longings. From tender ballads during rainy confessions to upbeat bops fueling dance rehearsals, the music doesn't just play; it breathes life into the narrative, amplifying every tear and laugh until you're emotionally wrecked in the best way.

Est and William's Heart-Stealing Brilliance
Est Supha's talent shines like a beacon—his crying scenes are gut-wrenching realism, tears streaming with such authentic pain and quiver in his voice that you'll reach for tissues, feeling his heartbreak as your own. And William? Oh, the way he loves—fierce yet gentle, protective glances turning into desperate embraces—it's the blueprint for every dream man, evoking that aching wish for someone to look at you like Thame gazes at Po, making your heart skip beats alongside theirs.

This series isn't just entertainment; it's a emotional rollercoaster that lingers, demanding rewatches for its flawless blend of glamour, grit, and genuine love. 10/10—pure bliss for any BL devotee

the only 10/10 i will ever give

i have no idea what they put into this show, but it is one of the best ones I've ever watched in terms of story and music. i've seen idol-centered dramas that make a new group with random actors, but using an existing group was a much better decision. LYKN slayed, they are such good actors and performers and conveyed all the important emotions.

speaking of emotions, william's acting is absolutely insane considering this is one of his first projects. the amount of times i've cried during this show because of how raw his emotions felt. it didn't feel like acting because it felt way too real. it's hard to explain in words, but it felt more like he was taking the hidden struggles of everyone in the entertainment industry and projecting it further than anyone could have ever imagined.

the letter scene destroyed me. that's all, please watch this show you will not regret it!!
