Definitely a show to re-watch

Sincerely, the thing about this show is the way everything is portrayed. The troubles of loving or dating a non-idol and the troubles or disbandment. If you are looking for something that pulls your heartstrings, makes you feel so invested, and gives an insight on the industry, "ThamePo Heart That Skips a Beat" is a great choice. From the actors to the music and outfits, this was just an amazing and creative show. Though it was William and Est's first time together, they painted everything with emotion and left some of us in awe. (BTW: The songs a re so catchy and really good.)

it is i, the niel.

this is free on youtube dot com. wow, it's just good. first of all, the acting was incredibly solid. for it being wiliam's first time in an acting role (a lead, at that), he delivered. the chemistry between the main couple was palpable. the show only focuses on one couple, but they do also focus on the supporting characters enough for us to care about their well-beings. audiences were able to uncover why the group was initially in shambles like a scooby-doo mystery. instead of splitting time between two or three couples, we got one couple and then actual time devoted to having solid secondary character development, which makes all of these characters likable and human.

in a lot of ways, there are two relationships that we, as an audience, are focusing on. there are thame and po as well as the group as a whole. it is rare that a bl gives time and care to non-romantic relationships, which made the show a comforting and easy watch, generally building a more complete story. by the end of the show, i wasn't just rooting for thame and po, i was rooting for all of the characters to do well and to achieve their dreams. the message behind the story was simple, yet necessary for a lot of bl/idol music fans in an industry that treats people as if they are accessible to the general public, commodifying artists and performers. i think that that was especially well-translated with pepper's relationship.

i also thought it was refreshing that this was an original story and you can clearly tell that this was written with these actors in mind to play to their strong suits, which really helped sell the show to me. i also appreciate that in all of the romantic relationships present, any of the characters could have continued on with their lives without their designated partner. this was especially evident when there was conflict in the relationship, displaying resiliency and growth by both thame and po. additionally, there wasn't unhealthy codependency that is oftentimes seen in bls (just the cutesy early relationship butterflies that appears slightly obsessive).

i think it is important to note that this isn't just good for a bl. thamepo is good as a show in general and could stand alone by itself outside of the bl "genre". part of what really appealed about the whole thing to me was that there was no real "playing it cool" or acting coy. both thame and po were upfront with how they felt about one another (once those feelings were realized). i think a lot of shows pad out the run-time with really unnecessary "ooh are they going to get together" storylines fueled by a lack of communication. thamepo did not do that because they had enough actual plot that they did not need to drag out unnecessary relationship drama. it was refreshing to watch a bl where, in many ways, the romance is central, but not the main driving plot of the story.

for gmmtv, the production value was there. it wasn't just a run-of-the-mill mid type show that gmmtv oftentimes puts out to fans for the sake of making a quick buck. the budget was present and they used it well. the lighting was pleasant, the audio was normal, the sets were high quality, and the styling suited each character. the dialogue was never cringey, and it was individualized to a point where you could distinctly tell which character was delivering their lines. it seems like every year, gmmtv picks a couple of shows to actually give resources to be a high-quality production. this was one of those shows and i'm glad it was.

woohoo!!! :D

best,

the niel.

A peek into the harsh reality of Idol life - done right!

Why you need to watch this series >>
*Cutest, soft-spoken, new GMMTV couple award goes to ThamePo aka WilliamEst!
* All Mars members are green flags and THAME is the whole green forest! The guy is so freaking romantic, with great dialogues and will make you giggle and scream while watching him flirt with Po!
*Po is the most adorable one, with such portrayal of innocence and those boba eyes! I'm in love with them!
*I absolutely loved that Jun, Nano, Pepper, Dylan, all had good screentime and storyline and arcs
* All of ThamePo songs/OSTs were so awesome! You will find yourself bobbing your head to those in no time!
*The almost breakup made me cry so much
* And when they finally got back together it was the best feeling ever! As if I had accomplished something lol 😆

This is by far one of the BEST SOFT ROMANCE series that GMMTV has brought to the table! It had the right amount of sweet hugs, kisses, hand holding, flirting and everything in between!
I hope they make more such series, hopefully with the same Director and crew and team!!

Rewatch value: 100/100 !! 💗💗

Imperfect To Others But My Roman Empire

This series is perfect to me. I have no notes 😌I’m sure if I dissected it I could find flaws but I won’t. This series feels like a warm hug and it will definitely be a comfort re-watch. I’m so happy William, Est, and the other LYKN members found each other and I can’t wait to see what they all accomplish next ❤️

They all did an amazing job within their roles, the music we got was top shelf, the filming and set locations were beautiful and the storyline was strong and executed well. I was hooked in episode 1 and remained that way all throughout the end. William and Est are perfectly paired together. Their chemistry is incredible and my favorite part of this series was their tenderness and vulnerability with each other. Hong, Nut, Lego and Tui also played their roles so well!

Reallyyy hoping we get another series in the near future from Williamest and the other LYKN members 👀

Thamepo, my new comfort drama (williamest, my new comfort ship)

I don't know if this is considered as a review, but i'm still sharing this here for everyone to read.

Thamepo is the kind of series that lingers in your heart long after the credits roll, and my journey with it was unforgettable...from watching the mock trailer to looking out for every update on their Qs, waiting for the official trailer and its release date, watching the first episode and crying over it, all the way until the last episode. It’s a series that everyone should watch because it’s not just a story...it’s an experience. The emotions, the chemistry, the way every scene pulls you in, making you feel like you're right there with Thame and Po. From the subtle glances to the grand moments, every detail is crafted so well that it stays with you long after the episode ends.

A huge part of what makes Thamepo so special is William and Est’s phenomenal performances. These two didn’t just play their roles—they became their characters, making every emotion feel genuine and deeply affecting.

William’s portrayal of Thame is incredibly nuanced. He doesn’t just rely on dialogue but expresses so much through his eyes, his body language, and the smallest shifts in his tone. Every glance, every hesitation, and every unspoken emotion adds depth to his character, making you feel his struggles without the need for words. Whether it’s the way he subtly tenses when conflicted or the way his entire demeanor softens in certain moments, William makes Thame’s emotions palpable, drawing you in and making you believe in every part of his journey.

Est, on the other hand, delivers a quiet yet immensely powerful performance. He doesn’t need grand gestures to make an impact—his emotions seep through in the most delicate ways, making even the simplest moments feel heavy with meaning. His portrayal is so raw that you can’t help but feel every ounce of his character’s emotions right alongside him.

What makes their performances even more remarkable is their chemistry. It’s not just about looking good together on screen; it’s about how they communicate emotions without words, how their presence alone can change the entire atmosphere of a scene. William and Est don’t just act—they make you feel. And that’s what sets them apart.

Watching Thamepo unfold week by week was a journey filled with anticipation, heartbreak, joy, and everything in between. I held my breath during their secret meetings, smiled at their stolen moments, and cried when the weight of reality threatened to tear them apart. But through it all, their love remained undeniable.

This series is proof that some stories aren't just meant to be watched...they're meant to be felt. And Thamepo? It’s one that will stay with me for a long, long time.

A Captivating Drama That Masterfully Blends Love, Music, and the Highs and Lows of Fame

With stellar performances, a brilliantly crafted script, and captivating production, this Netflix series has quickly earned its place as a must-watch.

The story follows Po, a filmmaker assigned to document the last performance of MARS, a boy band adored by fans. Po’s journey becomes deeply personal as he forms an unexpected bond with Thame, the group’s enigmatic leader. At its core, the series explores themes of identity, vulnerability, and the sacrifices demanded by the entertainment world, all while delivering a tender love story that resonates on many levels.

William Jakrapatr’s portrayal of Thame is a masterclass in emotional depth and authenticity. He captures the complexity of Thame’s life with stunning precision, offering viewers a front-row seat to the struggles of a man torn between public expectations and personal desires. From the commanding presence he exudes on stage to the moments of quiet introspection behind the scenes, William’s performance is nothing short of captivating. His ability to convey Thame’s internal struggles—whether through a subtle flicker of doubt in his eyes or the quiet strength in his voice—makes his character profoundly human and relatable. The chemistry between William and Est Supha (Po) adds an extra layer of brilliance to the series. Their interactions feel organic and charged with emotion, creating a connection that is both authentic and deeply moving.

One of the show’s greatest strengths is its script, which strikes a delicate balance between drama, romance, and introspection. The dialogue is sharp and purposeful, revealing layers of the characters’ personalities and emotions with every exchange. The writers have skillfully avoided clichés, instead opting for nuanced storytelling that respects the audience’s intelligence. The pacing of the narrative is another highlight. Each scene feels deliberate, whether it’s a quiet moment of reflection or a high-energy concert sequence. The script gives equal weight to both the public and private aspects of Thame and Po’s lives, ensuring that the characters feel fully fleshed out and multidimensional.

The production values are also impeccable, with sleek cinematography and thoughtful set designs that reflect the contrasting worlds of stardom and personal intimacy. The soundtrack, featuring original compositions, is seamlessly integrated into the story, amplifying the emotional impact of key scenes.

"ThamePo: Heart That Skips a Beat" is a testament to the power of well-crafted storytelling and exceptional performances. William Jakrapatr’s unforgettable portrayal of Thame and the script’s heartfelt depth make this series a true gem in the world of contemporary Thai dramas. Whether you’re a fan of music-themed narratives or love stories with substance, this series delivers on all fronts.

Now streaming on Netflix, "ThamePo" is an emotional journey that will leave you reflecting long (also blush) after the end of each episode :)

So far my best series watched

It's a really heartwarming and wholesome series. The actors really portrayed the characters well. The storyline was flowing without any bugs and also made sense. The casting were really good too! Having the determination to find a real boy group LYKN to join the series is something to praise for. Good job William, Est, LYKN and the other crew members! Can't wait for the next 9 episodes to be aired.

Simply show of the year

The story, the acting, the production, the cinematography, lykn, williamest's chemistry, everything about this show is a perfect 10/10 and i really hope that despite the lack of promotion from GMMTV this show will be able to be successful and seen by many because, trust me, it really is worth the watch.

You should watch it once

Honestly, I'm blown away by this series! GMM TV has really outdone themselves this time. Although it's a strategy to promote their group and you will see that, but I stayed for WilliamEst.

I went in not knowing much about the actors, and I wasn't expecting to be wowed. But the lead actors' chemistry is insane and you see it from the beginning! The way the story's told feels almost documentary-style - it's so raw and real. The cinematography is gorgeous, too - it's soothing to watch and doesn't feel overstimulating.

The plot's engaging, but it's not one of those twisty, dramatic shows that's trying to keep you on the edge of your seat. It's more of a slow burn that builds up beautifully. If you take the time to really watch it (no fast-forwarding!), I promise you'll fall in love with it.

The only issue with it was the screentime of the mc. Like the story was sold with the name of "ThamePo" but sometimes it felt more like MarsPo. Because first few episodes was about each characters, leaving only a 5-7 minutes window for the main couple to have any moment. Then it was too much of JunPo confusion for 3 episodes and then yk they will anyway face hard times.

They had such lovely chemistry, I wish we could see them together more.

And I'm glad they had a HE but it could've been better.
