Thank God, Spring Fever chose a path far from the noisy comfort of typical rom-coms. It doesn’t rush to entertain, doesn’t beg to be liked—instead, it sits with loneliness, with pauses, with emotions that feel too heavy to name. This drama breathes in silence, in restraint, in wounds that haven’t fully healed, and somehow that makes everything hurt more 😭🙏🏻. Its anti-mainstream storytelling feels brave, almost gentle, as if it understands that real emotions don’t arrive with fireworks, but with quiet exhaustion.

And the OST… God, the OST. Every song feels like a confession whispered too late. I genuinely love all of them, but “A Season That Was You” by JaeYeon lingers the most—it stays in my head, in my chest, refusing to leave. The melody alone already aches, but when paired with Seon Jaegyu’s story, it completely melts my heart. You can feel his pain in every note—the longing, the regret, the love that was never fully spoken. It doesn’t just play in the background; it bleeds into the soul.

So thank you, writer-nim, for trusting a story that doesn’t need clichés to survive. And thank you to Ahn Bo-hyun for choosing this drama and surrendering yourself to a role that feels raw, mature, and deeply human. And thank you to Lee Joobin, whose performance feels quietly devastating—restrained yet emotionally bare, unfolding with a sincerity that makes the silences heavier and the emotions linger longer. Together, they delivered performances that don’t demand attention, but slowly carve their way into the heart. This isn’t just another project in their filmography—it feels like one of their most sincere works, the kind that stays with you long after the screen fades to black 🥹👍🏻.

Spring Fever doesn’t try to warm you.
It lets you feel the cold first—
and leaves you there, quietly aching, long after it ends.

An explosive and fun drama that grows on you

LIKED:

- ABH as explosive and overbearing at times but warm inside Jae Gyu is just perfect casting. He has really good comic timings something we even saw in Flex Cop. The same goes for LJB who as Yun Bom being polar opposite off Jae Gyu also nails her role. The chemistry between them is fuckin good and fun to watch.

- The supporting cast does so well especially in humorous moments. The relation between characters both leads and supporting really grows on you with time and only makes things more fun.

- So far the story is engaging and funny at times. The relation progress between the leads isn't too fast and at a good pace. The story isn't something out of the box and does pull of some generic tropes but still manages to make you chuckle.

- One of the best things about this drams is they don't drag misunderstandings or add too much of extra melodrama to it but actually deal with it in good time while keep everything light hearted.

- The drama really exceeded my expectations. Ignoring a few hiccups and the teenagers storyline it is a fun, humorous and heartwarming watch.

DISLIKED:

- The only two characters and the arc I am not liking at all is between Han Gyeol and Se Jin as both are just atrocious to look at.
I don't know what writers were trying to pull off with both of them if it was to make it look cute then they have failed with flying colors. Every time these two show up on screen, I simply skip through it as it makes my blood boil to look at them both. it does gets a little bearable by the end but still something you wouldn't really care.

ENJOY THE FEELING OF SPRING!

Spring Fever is so real because I caught it and it's never going away! Some of the symptoms include feeling a beautiful warmth inside, non-stop smiling, and being absolutely obsessed with this K-drama!

All jokes aside, Spring Fever was an absolute pleasure to watch and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!

This is a romantic comedy in the purest sense and while the story is simple, and sometimes a little silly, it had some surprisingly complex depth to it. This was made all the more impactful through the incredible chemistry between our leads, Seon Jae Gyu and Yun Bom. I have to say that THIS is what made the drama for me and worth watching, to the point that they might have to be my favourite K-drama couple ever now! Not only do they look incredible together, but everything just felt so natural and real. This is rare and basically fate, my only criticism is that I wanted more! I am now so hoping that Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Joo Bin become a real couple after this. Please!!!

I definitely won’t ever be forgetting about Spring Fever and I already can’t wait to go back to watch my favourite moments again. This is one the best feelings, like a beautiful SPRING feeling!

When Labels Fade, Healing Begins

This drama is my first favorite of 2026. It’s far from perfect, but it kept me engaged from beginning to end and delivered where it mattered most.

Story (4.5/5):
The story follows Bom, a teacher who moves to a small town to escape a damaging label after an incident in Seoul, and Jae Gyu, who carries his own reputation based on rumors and first impressions. Both characters are judged before being understood, and the drama does a great job showing how those labels affect their lives. As they grow closer, they not only help the villagers and teachers see the truth, but they also slowly heal themselves.

The writers handle the narrative well—introducing the problems, showing the emotional brokenness, working through conflict, and allowing healing to begin. My only issue is the heavy focus on the teachers. I didn’t care much about most of them, and too much screen time was spent on their storylines.

Acting/Cast (3.5/5):
The main leads completely carried this drama. Jae Gyu and Bom were compelling, emotionally grounded, and believable, making it easy to stay invested. While there’s no clear main villain, there are plenty of frustrating characters.

The Choi siblings were the worst for me. I Jun’s resentment toward Jae Gyu felt excessive, and Se Jin’s constant attitude made her hard to tolerate. Even with their redemption arcs, too much damage had already been done for them to become likable by the end. Bom’s parents also fall into this category—her image-obsessed mother and passive father were disappointing, though not the worst K-drama parents I’ve seen.

Among the teachers, Hye Suk stood out positively, while the Dean was easily the most unlikable.

Music (5/5):
An easy 5 stars. The music fit the tone of the drama perfectly and enhanced both the emotional and lighter moments.

Rewatch Value (4.5/5):
Definitely a rewatch, especially for the cute and funny scenes. The drama noticeably improves once the leads get together, which made the second half much more enjoyable for me.

Final Thoughts:
This drama isn’t flawless, but its strong leads, emotional healing, and satisfying character growth make it memorable. If you enjoy slow healing stories and character-driven romances, this one is worth watching.

Just when I thought romcoms weren't romcoming anymore

Okay I'm going to get straight to the point: I love this drama. It's exactly what I look for in romcoms, funny, chaotic, absolutely unserious, and with great chemistry between the leads. It has the right level of drama and the resolutions were quick and well done, with no unnecessary plots. Of course it's not perfect and I know this kind of drama isn't for everyone, especially because of all the absurd situations it has but you should take it for what it is: a drama that's just there to make you happy and have a good time, nothing else. I truly enjoyed every episode until the end and this drama set the bar high for me in terms of romcoms. But as I always say, that's just my opinion and I definitely think you should give it a chance.

A quick and enjoyable watch that I am going to miss

Disclaimer

What I am writing here are my views and thoughts about this series. Some of you may not like it. That does not give you the right to try to come at me with your opinions on why this series should get a higher or lower score and why it is better/worse than I think it is. You have your own opinions, and I have mine. Kindly respect that.

Today marks the end of the series 'Spring Fever'. I adore this series so much that I couldn't wait for Mondays and Tuesdays to come so that I could watch the new episodes. Now, you may ask – is this series perfect? No, no, it's not, as I did get annoyed sometimes with the secondary couple. Yet, everyone else just made this series perfect. I, of course, fell in love with Bom-sik, the rescued dog. Whenever he appeared on the screen- he stole the show!

Besides Bom-sik, I can safely say that all of the secondary charcters (except maybe that of Choi Se Jin and her parents as they annoyed me to an extent) were enjoyable and I know that I will miss them as I have completed this series. This was truly a simple enjoyable rom com series to watch. I am glad that I gave it a chance as I would have really not know what I was missing. I would totally recommend this seires to others as it is relatively good.

A well-rounded romantic comedy with a charming small-town atmosphere.

A refreshing change of pace to actually watch a competent romantic comedy after some of the recent slop I had to endure. I'm looking at you Would You Marry Me? And Dynamite Kiss. It's well acted, somewhat funny, has a small-town romance(s), and a well-paced mature story despite the comedic backdrop.

First, the romance. Good natural chemistry between ML and FL. A mature romance between two actual adults (35+ IRL) despite the goofball that is ML. No stupid love triangles or miscommunication tropes. They don't have time for poor writing because they have somewhat heavy issues to get through. There is a younger high school couple and an older couple to round out that small-town feeling. Honestly, I wasn't very interested in the older couple, but it's fine.

Romance and comedy aside, the show actually has a solid story to tell. I think that's what the show does best in regard to the story is that while there are numerous topics to cover, the show doesn't dwell on any of them for too long. The central uncle plot and FL's allegations cover the entire 12 episode run here and there, but everything else is handled promptly and with closure.

It really is spring-like.

In my opinion, Spring Fever is a romcom done well. It is simple, silly, warm, a little chaotic, sometimes unrealistic and unhinged, but still surprisingly grounded. It also carries a bit of slice of life tone, which made it work even better for me. This is not the kind of show you watch with a critical lens on logic. You watch it to laugh, relax, and feel soft for a while. Not perfect, not groundbreaking, but very easy to enjoy. Very easy that I breezed through my binge watching lol.

Also, this is a romcom that does the comedy part right. The editing, exaggerated reactions, and character quirks are played big, but never cringe, at least for me. Everything that makes the humor are written with intention, not just the scenes themselves, but they are on point with the characters' personalities, just a bit exaggerated. Ahn Bo Hyun as Seon Jaegyu carries a lot of the humor. He looks like a gangster with his fake sleeve tattoo, acts like a tank with his Hercules-like strength, scares the whole town by accident, but is actually the softest and kindest person there. Lee Joobin as Yun Bom balances him well. She starts guarded and prickly, but never distant or cold.

For the romance, it grows through repeated contact, shared responsibility, and a shared similar experience. Nothing flashy, though, just that both suffers from the rumors and gossip that others have spread about them, so it creates a quiet understanding between them. The rescued dog was a good relationship device, especially with how Bom tends to avoid emotional closeness. Co-parenting the dog kept pulling them into each other’s space naturally, apart from Hangyul's issues. Even when they try to keep distance, they stay connected because of it. At first, I was worried the romance might develop too quickly, which would usually mean a lot more relationship issues in later episodes, but thankfully it didn’t. The development felt consistent in tone. We understand their feelings early on, but the story never rushes the connection, and even though it isn’t moving at a breakneck pace, it never feels boring.

I also liked that the drama avoided piling extra twists on top of the already existing romcom cliches it had. No unnecessary breakups, no secret childhood connection, no random murder mystery dropped into a small-town plot. Yes, I'm looking at you, Dynamite Kiss and Summer Strike. Conflicts do show up, but they don't drag and they get resolved quickly. Misunderstandings are talked through. Once the leads understand their feelings, they are honest about them. The female lead is also refreshingly proactive in love. When she decides, she moves. She did not let her trauma bind her for long, because she knows she did nothing wrong.

The pacing is on the slower side, but it fits the countryside setting and overall vibe. The gentle flow matches the slice-of-life atmosphere and makes the show work well as a palette cleanser drama. It stays focused on the story it wants to tell and never tries to blow itself up into something bigger.

Even when heavier topics appear, like Jaegyu’s past with the fire and his abusive father, and Bom’s affair scandal and stalking incident, the tone stays mostly light. Because the drama commits to being simple in scope, it's decision to not explore these deeper sat right with me. Jaegyu’s emotional healing and his friendship with Ijun were also handled well and became one of the most enjoyable parts of the show. The supposed second male lead never felt like a rival, he was more like a long-lost friend. I even found hints of yearning to fix whatever problems they had lol. They bicker, clash, and distrust each other at times, but still somehow stay loyal, and we eventually find out why their tandem was like that.

Also, different from some viewers, I found Hangyul and Sejin's stories, the teen side couple, cute and just present enough. Not too dominant and not lacking either. Just teenagers in their teenager world experiencing teenager stuff: academics, crushes, and family issues. Their interactions felt like a slice-of-life side story. Together with the rest of the supporting cast, they made the town feel lived in without stealing focus.

A Complete Family Entertainer, A Must Watch!!

A teacher who has given up on living and a CEO written off as a thug!!

The show isn’t complicated, it is actually complimentary. Emotional and unhinged, the story gravitates around a small town, where the main lead, Yoon Bom, seeks shelter; she is hiding there, drifting through life, after a major event turns her life upside down. While she is trying to live incognito, she meets the supposed thug, Seo Jae Gyu. A larger than life character, he is bulky and scary, but is essentially a soft ball who lives for his nephew. The people in the small town misunderstand him; Yoon Bom misunderstands him, until he rises above the bar and proves his self-worth. Throw in some chaotic overturns, a cute puppy and a bunch of teenagers making hasty decisions, the show turned out to be a perfect potboiler. It was humane, depicting emotions honestly, realistically in an endearing manner. I fell in love with each & every character; almost so, I’m sad that I won’t be meeting them next week!

When Every Episode Feels Like the First Warm Day of Spring

Spring Fever is exactly what its title promises. Soft but not shallow, emotional but not overwhelming, and filled with relationships that bloom naturally over time. From the very first episodes, there’s a gentle warmth to the storytelling that slowly pulls you in until you realize you’re fully attached to every single character. I genuinely loved every second of it.

Ahn Bo-hyun delivers such a steady, heartfelt performance. He has this quiet intensity that makes even the smallest emotional shifts feel meaningful. His character feels layered and sincere, and he portrays vulnerability in a way that feels real rather than dramatic. Watching his emotional growth throughout the drama was one of my favorite parts.

Lee Joo-been is absolutely radiant here. She brings softness, strength, and emotional clarity to her role. Her performance feels effortless and genuine, making every heartfelt scene land beautifully. The chemistry between her and Ahn Bo-hyun feels natural and balanced, not forced or exaggerated. Their relationship develops in a way that feels earned, and it’s incredibly satisfying to watch.

What made this drama even more special for me is how strong the second and third lead couples were. They weren’t just filler storylines. Each couple had their own depth, charm, and emotional weight, making the overall narrative feel rich and full. I found myself equally invested in all of them, which doesn’t always happen in romance dramas. The supporting cast also deserves so much praise. Every character, no matter how small their role, added something meaningful to the story. It truly felt like a complete world.

The OST is beautiful and perfectly matched to the tone of the drama. The songs enhance the emotional moments without overpowering them, and some tracks linger even after the episode ends. Combined with the gentle pacing and warm cinematography, the music elevates the entire experience.

Overall, Spring Fever (2026) is a K-drama filled with heart, chemistry, and emotional sincerity. I loved the main couple, adored the second and third lead couples, appreciated every supporting character, and genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere from start to finish. It’s comforting, romantic, and deeply satisfying.

Romcom which does its job right!

Good romance: check! Comedy: double check! We have a sweet romance that develops in the most funny way. We also tackle some serious issues but it's well done. All the characters are endearing and funny too so we just get into the all universe of the drama easily and it makes the drama even more enjoyable. Loved the actors acting, I've seen them in more serious roles and I'm glad they can pull the comedy genre this well. If you're looking for a romcom that's not too serious and will make you laugh, this is the one.

Villain-free RomCom is peak.

When I say I love RomCom, this is what I mean: there’s a perfect balance between romance and comedy, with less unnecessary drama. This kind of RomCom is what I like—no murderous villains, no sibling rivalry over company control, and no one trying to kill anyone. It has no heavy drama scenes, just a perfect balance of emotional moments that still fit the RomCom genre. Also, no forced love triangles—the second male lead doesn’t try to force himself as the female lead’s love interest. And most importantly, no unnecessary breakups in the last two episodes, which we all hate. Another proof that villain-free RomComs are still the best.
