A Beautiful Summer Story That I Hope Doesn't Break My Heart
I absolutely love the atmosphere of this series. Every episode captures the feeling of summer so beautifully with its bright colors, peaceful countryside setting, colorful red watermelon fruits and warm sunshine. The family scenes are wholesome, and the fluffy white dog is adorable every time it appears on screen. Like many Japanese BLs, this series finds a great balance between comedy, romance, awkward moments, and everyday life, making it feel relaxing and comforting to watch.The story follows Natsuki, a high school student struggling with university entrance exams after being dumped by his girlfriend. Wanting to help him, his older sister asks her university boyfriend, Sota, to become Natsuki's private tutor. As they spend more time studying together, their relationship slowly begins to change in ways neither of them expected. The pacing is light, heartwarming, and easy to follow, making it a perfect summer watch.
I am more than halfway through the series and, so far, I am really enjoying it. The plot is light, fun, and full of heartwarming family moments.
However, I am not a fan of cheating, especially when it involves a family member. Natsuki admits that he always ends up liking the things his sister likes, but I really hope this series does not use that as an excuse if cheating becomes part of the story.
The sister is honestly one of my favourite characters. She is kind, supportive, and genuinely cares about her younger brother, even introducing her own boyfriend to help tutor him. If Natsuki develops feelings for Sota, and Sota eventually feels the same way, I have no problem with that as long as Sota ends his relationship with the sister first. But if they secretly fall in love, kiss, or start dating behind her back, then I definitely cannot support it. I really hope the story does not go in that direction because I am genuinely invested now and do not want such a good drama to be ruined.
If you enjoy summer settings, light and fluffy romance, family oriented stories, and the unique charm of Japanese BLs, then this series should definitely be on your watch list. So far, it has been a relaxing and enjoyable watch with beautiful visuals, lovable characters, and a comforting atmosphere. I am hoping it sticks the landing because it has all the ingredients to become one of the standout Japanese BLs of the season.

A beautiful story about family and love
I’m really loving this series, it feels like something new because usually highschool jbls mostly focus on the evolution of the relationship between the two male leads, while this series shows a deeper view of how difficult it is for a teenager to accept the thought of liking someone the same gender as them and how that is seen by their parents. There is not much romance because it’s a journey that both of the leads intraprend together to understand better their feelings but it’s still very sweet.I particularly like the way the characters communicate with eachother to find a common ground and to understand that love is not only between a man and a woman but it’s a deeper bond which should not be constrained by gender.
Really amazing I recommend.

Super cute JBL Alert!!! I think this was just the kind I needed with so many bleak and dark ones airing...the Japanese Kawaaii 🥰BL-Needle Score: 7. Reasonable B:L-ness so far
The visuals and drift gives me vibes similar to Chosen Home, which was one of most favourite JBLs in the recent times.... though the story is less of slice of life-philosophy-coded in comedy kind that Chosen Home was, it just gives off the same lighthearted feel good...may be add a dash of 'family wholesome' ...maybe a cross between Chosen Home and School Trip: Joined a Group I’m Not Close To, if you know what I mean....even if the storyline hints that the brother will fall for the elder sister's boyfriend ...it doesn't look like there will be much of a hard feelings here given how casual Sota and Riyo's 'relationship' seems to be ...
I just love the warm, close-knit their family and friends seem to be....and how Natsuki's fandom, his mom's friends immediately cheer him up after being dumped 🥰
I think I'll thoroughly enjoy this. 💓

The chemistry between the characters is sooo cute too, and I really enjoy watching their relationship slowly develop. It’s such a comforting drama to watch after a long day. Overall, I’m really enjoying it and I’m definitely looking forward to every episode 🥹💗

feels just like summer ♡
this is the story of Natsuki - a free spirited high school student. he's also not the most attentive when it comes to academics. when his parents find out about his abysmal grades, his sister decides to send her boyfriend Souta to tutor him.the first episode was so cute!
both leads are incredibly handsome! especially the actor playing Souta - Hidaka is sooo pretty! i couldn't take my eyes off of him the whole time🥹
the cinematography is absolutely stunning! as it often is with most Japanese bls 💙 the cool summer tones and the beautiful blue skies are so soothing to watch. they have the perfect summer vibes!
Natsuki's family is so warm and lovable. their adorable samoyed pet dog Rock, a huge ball of fluff, is bound to bring a smile to anyone's face!
so far, I really liked the first episode 🥰 excited to see how it goes💙
fun fact : natsuki (夏輝) in Japanese means "summer radiance/glow" ✨️
that really adds up to the theme of this drama 🥹

vibrant family drama
Overall: if you want to watch the romance, then you could start the series at episode 8 and miss very little. It focuses more on coming of age. 10 episodes about 23 minutes each. BL fofo
a premissa desse BL realmente me assustou, imagine se apaixona pelo namorado da sua própria irmã, realmente fiquei com medo de como eles iriam desenvolver isso. Realmente já dava pra perceber por alguns motivos que eles iriam pelo lado do namorado não ser namorado de verdade e eu gosto disso, mas sinto que deveriam ter trabalhado melhor nessa parte, terem dado evidências mais claras disso, porquê se não prestar a devida atenção acaba apenas parecendo que o roteiro forçou isso (não foi o caso).Pra pegar o plot do namorado que não é namorado tem que se prestar muita atenção pra pegar os pontos, ou reassistir os episódio parar compreender, por exemplo tem uma sacada legal que eles fazem que é com o fenômeno das nuvens (pareidolia) de você ver coisas que não estão diretamente lá foi uma sacada muito boa que eles jogaram na série, o fato da irmã do natsuki não ficar adequadamente preocupada com fato do "namorado" dela estar doente, enfim gostei bastante do plot, já esperava algo do tipo mas mesmo assim fiquei surpreso.
A irmandade do natsuki e da rio é um ponto que me agrada muito nesse BL, os dois tem suas discussões bobas de irmãos mas é claro que eles se amam muito e que se importam um com o outro, e que se defendem e se apoiam sempre que um precisa do outro. a família deles em si é uma família muito querida, a mãe deles indo pesquisar sobre ter filho homossexual quando descobriu que o natsuki gostava do sofá foi algo muito lindo, ela não julgou e nem ficou com um pé atrás, ela foi atrás de tentar entender o filho dela.
o casal do BL em si é fofo, servem química, do tipo que no começo antes do plot você pensar "ok irmã você namora ele, mas agora pare de atrapalhar o verdadeiro casal", eles se respeitam, eles se preocupam um com o outro o verdadeiro green flag que todos amamos.

Hermosa historia
Historia super linda, actores lindos y super talentosos, amo su dinamica y como evoluciona su relación, definitivamente creo la tendré siempre en el corazón. Me parece también muy lindo como incluyen el tema de la familia y como todos son unidos y esa misma unidad abraza a Sota durante toda la serie !! La hermana de Natsuki es un punto importante para el desarollo de los personajes y como ella les ayuda a darse cuenta de sus sentimientos, me hubiera encantando ver mas del pov de Sota pero espero que podamos verlo mas adelante en los siguientes episodiosWas this review helpful to you?
