Gay shit I watched
I prefer: goofy silly stories, complex plots and characters, gender-nonconformity, relationship dynamics in which both partners are equal (or at least both have a form of power, whether that be status or physical) and tease each other a lot, wholesomeness and good communication, slow burn, supernatural gimmicks, bright colors, indie productions, angst with a happy ending, queer themes such as found family, self-acceptance, social deviance and allegories for systemic oppression/cisheteronormativity.
I dislike: plots that revolve around jealousy and miscommunication, plots that take themselves too seriously without actually containing authenticity or depth, sad grey gritty-ness, graphic violence, sexual violence, gore, full nudity, unexamined judgment towards minorities. Those'll have lower ratings on average.
If you think you vibe with that, take a look. If not, I'm sure you can find some other list that works for you.
>9 means it's brilliant
>8 I'd def recommend.
7 means it's fun enough, might recommend, but there are no masterpieces here
6 means it's watchable but nothing special, standard fare.
5 means it's got some amount of redeeming qualities, but also issues.
<4 means I kinda hated it
mlm = gay or bi guys in here
wlw = lesbian or bi women in here
T = trans people in here. I don't count standard comedic relief trans women in Thai shows. They have to actually be a character.
ace = ace and/or aro people in here
GNC = gendernonconforming people in here
Happy endings unless stated otherwise under the 'spoiler' tag. BL or GL unless stated otherwise. Current and dropped follow at the end.
I've decluttered the list by moving everything under 100 minutes here: https://kisskh.at/list/1Xz6mOj3

201. Secret Relationships
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
mlm. ~240 minutes
Naive guy is unwittingly stuck in a web of jealous gay guys fighting over him, two of which turn out to be seriously scary.
A really fun watch.
-
202. Shigatsu no Tokyo wa...
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm. ~240 minutes
Angst with happy ending. Guy meets old special friend at work. Abrupt mysterious separation back in high school, now still like each other plus trauma. Then terrible communication skills lead to both of them believing the other doesn't really like them, but they do become very horny fwb. It deals with internalized homophobia.
This is definitely good enough. Worth watching.
-
203. Something's Not Right
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
current
mlm, background wlw. ~240 minutes
Dude in love with bestie has the worst communication skills and avoidance issues in the world, but that's actually pretty angsty and entertaining to watch.
-
204. Soshite, Yuriko wa Hitori ni Natta
Japanese Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
wlw, mlm, GNC. ~240 minutes
Intentionally creepy high school drama setting with deadly consequences. There can only be one Yuriko left in the school.
The plot is intriguing and kept me hooked but idk the resolution isn't convincing to me. Villain motivation is extremely weak and why are there THIS many people willing to murder for this nonsense?
cw: teacher/student relationship, they're not main. Gore.
-
205. Sparks Camp Season 2
Filipino TV Show - 2024, 8 episodes
mlm, GNC. T. ~400 minutes
Dating show. Very queer. The first season of this was very wholesome and I loved that, but the producers decided to amp up the drama for this season instead, and there's one guy who's being an abusive douche, which isn't helping either.
-
206. Stay with Me
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
censored mlm. ~720 minutes
Adaptation of 'Addicted'. Story is similar but changed, and that's a good thing. This could've done with a 'kill your darlings' round, aka cut out all the random things unrelated to the plot that happen. It's well-acted though, and the setting is absolutely beautiful, and they make it very obvious that these two are a couple, with some amount of plausible deniability built in.
Ending is unclear this way, but there's an extended ending on YT which clears things up.
cw: violence.
-
207. The Boy Next World
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
mlm. ~460 minutes
Soulmates and temporarily travelling to parallel dimensions. It's enjoyable enough. I think this is one of the most coherent and interesting plots MAME has ever written, but the dynamic between the leads is still just macho man x smol bean, as is characteristic of her work.
-
208. The Boy Next World Special Episode: A World Where We Don’t Know Each Other
Thai Special - 2025, 1 episode
mlm. ~67 minutes.
The story of the parallel universe characters. It's fun.
-
209. The Director Who Buys Me Dinner
Korean Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
mlm. ~150 minutes
His new boss is some kind of spirit who's been waiting for him to reincarnate for 300 years, and the director doesn't beat around the bush. It's funny.
The series kind of just skips developing the central relationship. We don't see them fall in love. I thought the plot was going somewhere so I was entertained, but it ended up just being confusing. The plot is full of holes.
cw: age gap of about 280 years
-
210. The Hidden Moon
Thai Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
mlm, background wlw. ~450
The plot in this has me hooked from start to finish. It has ghosts and mystery and that's all I'll spoil. But the acting is fairly stiff, especially from the guy who plays Mas, who seems very umcomfortable with the gayness of it all.
cw: murder and suicide
-
211. The Loyal Pin
Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
wlw. ~720 minutes
Princess x commoner bestie period piece. Marriage looms.
The reason this gets a seven is because the set, costumes, and production value are phenomenal. The plot mostly consists of jealousy, and the acting is stiff and formal, which isn't a skill issue, but a stylistic choice that's just not my cup of tea.
-
212. The On1y One
Taiwanese Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
mlm. ~580 minutes
This appears to have taken inspiration from Addicted/Heroin, in the sense that it is about two smarty pants popular high school guys who clash upon first meeting, and then find out their parents are getting remarried to each other. The similarities end there though.
This is very heavy on academic pressure and ranking. Verrryyy slow.
The story is not finished without a season 2.
-
213. The Promise
Thai Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
mlm. ~510 minutes
Besties in love in college, but won't say it. One of them disappears for ten years, then comes back, more determined.
This is funny and charming. I love the grandma and her merry band of old queers doing weed, and the one teenager who is extremely done with everything.
-
214. The Rebound
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
mlm. ~600 minutes.
They used to be in a situationship and be basketball buddies, but they grew apart and one got involved in some shady business, now they reconnect over more basketball, and shady shit.
This is definitely not bad, but I did expect more from director Tanwarin, because they're awesome. The story is a bit of a mess, just a bunch of shit thrown at the characters without a clear character arc or throughline. But other than that, everything is competent. Excellent theme song and cinematography.
There's canonically autistic rep in here, which again, isn't done badly, but I expected better.
cw: bunch of guns, abusive relationship (not main) which includes dubious consent.
-
215. The Trainee
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
mlm, wlw. ~450 minutes
Clueless and unmotivated intern x cold professional. Feels like a standard GMMTV BL. I do appreciate them subverting the intern x company boss trope by removing all the glamour from the situation and instead making it silly and difficult and real.
Don't watch it for the sapphic couple, you'll be disappointed.
-
216. Theory of Love
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
mlm. ~600 minutes
I watched this a long time ago. I'm pretty sure it was a standard Thai BL, trope-y. I think the the love interest was more of a douchebag than usual.
-
217. Tie the Not
Filipino Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm, wlw, T. ~120 minutes
Pretty campy. Guy/girl arranged marriage. Girl casually going out with both genders on the side. Guy is very green but may be into dude he just met. Many other queer characters fucking about in their own ways. It's got good feminism, sex positivity.
I wouldn't call it competent. I did enjoy it though.
-
218. To My Star
Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
mlm. ~135 minutes
Bummed out star meets stoic chef. I watched this a while ago and didn't write much else down. It was fun enough. Not super special. I think I also watched the second season, which was on a similar quality level.
-
219. Together with Me
Thai Drama - 2017, 13 episodes
mlm. ~650 minutes
Best friends get drunk and sleep together, then figure out how to exist near each other from then on. They have a fun dynamic and I do think this one is worth watching.
-
220. Two Worlds
Thai Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
mlm. ~480 minutes
Guy's boyfriend gets murdered, then he travels through a magic puddle into a parallel universe where mr boyfriend isn't dead yet, but also a bunch of other stuff is different, and he falls for mafia boss' son instead. Lots of drama and angst.
cw: bunch of guns and death, torture. Medium amount of gore. This is pretty intense.
-
221. Views of Love: Grey Rainbow
Thai Drama - 2016, 4 episodes
mlm. ~310 minutes
Ex-law student x elephant caretaker. Good plot at beginning, kinda chaos at the end, good acting and relationship dynamic, good queerness, but it does feel a little slow.
Just stop after ep 3. Don't even watch the 4th episode.
Spoiler: It's like the story ended kinda anticlimactically, and then the writer just kept throwing random shit at the main characters for another episode. They get married twice for no reason, one crossdresses illogically, they get a child chucked into their lap out of nowhere, and then one dies during a wedding, the end lol
-
222. VIP Only
Taiwanese Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
mlm. ~200 minutes
BL author with writer's block spends his days in restaurant and falls for owner. It's sweet, but not revolutionary. It's about realizing you are worthy of love and about realizing there is a difference between love and admiration.
-
223. War of Y
Thai Drama - 2022, 20 episodes
mlm, T. ~1120 minutes
Critique on industry. BL actors trying to stay relevant. Very dramatic. 4 different but interconnected stories.
It's not the worst, it's not the best.
cw: trans person got outed to the press and it's not treated with the gravity that it should be, instead she just gets written out unceremoniously.
-
224. Wedding Plan
Thai Drama - 2023, 7 episodes
mlm, wlw. ~340 minutes
He has to plan his crush's wedding, doesn't know it's an arranged wedding for a gay guy and a lesbian. The dynamic in which the groom aggressively flirts with a panicking wedding planner who is trying not to love it is hilarious.
cw: sleep kiss but he wasn't really asleep and kissed back
-
225. Why R U?
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
mlm. ~840 minutes
Brother ends up in sister's BL fantasy reality. Good acting, good chemistry. It is fun campy nonsense. Too many characters though. I did definitely enjoy watching this, but keep in mind that it does feel aged.
cw: pretty toxic relationship between soccer dude and Blue (the original MaxNat couple), and Fighter is no angel either.
-
226. You're My Sky
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
mlm. ~540 minutes
Fairly typical Thai BL. Basketball guys. Besties to lovers. It's sweet, it's worth watching, nothing out of the ordinary.
-
227. Your Sky of Us
Thai Special - 2025, 3 episodes
mlm. ~140 minutes
Sequel to 'Your Sky'. Fluff upon fluff upon fluff.
-
228. YYY
Thai Drama - 2020, 6 episodes
mlm, T, GNC. ~270 minutes
Another strong contender for the 'campiest show' award. This is absolute nonsense and it knows it. It's ridiculous and enjoyable.
cw: it feels kinda transphobic
-
229. Affair
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
wlw. ~460 minutes
Besties are in love with each other for forever, but don't realize or say it, then some straight marriages and lots of jealousy and drama. It's not my thing.
The first 3 episodes are essentially backstory, with the plot starting in episode 4, when they meet again.
cw: guns & suicide
-
230. Deep Night Side Story: The Two of Us
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
wlw. ~90 minutes
Spin-off of Deep Night. You don't need to watch Deep Night first.
Bestie shows up with the news that she's going to get married to a man, but secretly hoping that her friend will get jealous and be her lover instead.
Worth a watch, chemistry and production value is there. The plot is kind of bland, especially towards the end. There is a season 2.
-
231. His
Japanese Movie - 2020
mlm. ~120 minutes
I didn't write my thoughts down at the time. Do not trust my review of this.
-
232. Jun & Jun
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm. ~200 minutes
A trope mashup. Marketing boss x intern but also they're childhood friends. Very basic clueless uke, forward seme dynamic, except times three because somehow he can't manage to catch on to not one but three rich hot guys' incessant advances.
It's watchable and forgettable. The flirting is enjoyable though.
-
233. Night Dream
Thai Drama - 2023, 6 episodes
mlm. ~180 minutes
Night needs to write a love story and find experience in order to do that, runs into ex-bestie who is now running a quaint little café. He's scared of being gay because of lack of acceptance from surroundings. I like that it deals with internalized homophobia somewhat. But this is quite bland.
-
234. Addicted Heroin
Thai Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
mlm. ~460 minutes
Based on the same Chinese novel as the 2016 'Addicted' and 2023 'Stay With Me'.
First of all the age gap between the leading actors (16/27) is not okay, and it's especially worrying given how much shipping and fan service usually goes on after a series airs in Thailand. I sincerely hope they don't do that.
But I'm a Sinology major with an interest in queer media and I wrote whole academic essays on what the censorship of Addicted meant for Chinese queer media (severely hampered) and general Chinese attitudes towards queer people (not great), and I can't not know how that saga continues. Thai BL's are massively popular among Chinese audiences, and that's why Chinese advertisers fund them and that's why they exist. Call it morbid curiosity, but I need to know how they've chosen to edit and represent this story in 2024 with a Thai production crew unbothered by CCP censorship.
The conclusion is that they've mellowed down all the toxicity of the original material and changed the plot to give it a happy ending. They've also chosen to not have any real kisses, only camera angles. I think that's good, but I still wish they'd just chosen older actors across the board, or at least not an 11 year age gap. I am of the opinion that this adaptation shouldn't have been made. If you're going to adapt a fucked up story, hire older actors. I'm not sure what the point of this was.
cw: guns, kidnapping, romanticized abuse between partners, minor actors in situations they shouldn't be in, severe abuse from parent
-
235. Sugar Dog Life
Japanese Drama - 2024, 9 episodes
mlm. ~300 minutes
Lonely dude who likes cooking meets lonely police officer who can't cook for shit.
It's sweet and simple. Standard BL fare.
-
236. The Eighth Sense
Korean Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
mlm. ~400 minutes
This one is highly praised by a lot of people, and I have to disagree. The alleged 'deep-ness' of the story relies on the love interest's struggle with PTSD and depression (and possibly the main character's struggle with change and social anxiety). As someone who's been through a lot of therapy for all of these issues, this story does not feel like a heartfelt personal expression of what they feel like, or how one would realistically deal with them, but rather like a cheap and appropriative tool to make the characters appear more fleshed out than they are, and as a dramatic plot device that serves as a reason for why these characters should be together when they have nothing in common.
The editing at the start of each episode is so confusing that I kept going back to see if I had clicked the wrong episode. The whole show has a 'this is serious and deep' vibe, with no fun allowed, and I was bored. The cinematography is just okay. Acting is fine.
-
237. The New Employee
Korean Drama - 2022, 7 episodes
mlm. ~140 minutes
Yeah, nothing wrong here, nothing special here. Intern x boss. I guess I'm a little frustrated about the fact that the stakes feel insignificant, and the conflicts to resolve before they can be together feel silly.
-
238. Twins
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
mlm. ~590 minutes
Twins separated because of divorce, one does volleyball, the other MMA. Wrong twin gets knocked out by bullies, other takes his role in the volleyball team and falls for the guy his twin was feuding with. The first episodes are rough, overacted, childish, but it's suprisingly entertaining the longer you watch.
-
239. We Are
Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
mlm, T. ~720 minutes
This is very much 'content', not art. Very standard university Thai BL. I think the thing that works about the GMMTV uni BL formula is that they give each couple a characteristic relationship dynamic, as in, the way they tease each other is unique for each couple.
The thing that doesn't work for me is that the relationship dynamics are pretty much all there is to this show, no other plot whatsoever. There's so much fluff and padding that adds absolutely nothing. But you can't deny that this is popular, so clearly it works.
-
240. Your Home
Filipino Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
mlm. ~160 minutes
Country boy meets rich asshat, one drunk night later he follows him to Manila to become a fellow model. This feels genuine, and I like that there is a fat character that is actual good representation, and who voices her struggles with fatphobia. But also, too many scenes were skipped or montaged. Should've been longer, spelled some things out more.
-
241. 2 Moons 2
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
mlm. ~720 minutes
Standard BL. University hot guy contest. The prequel is terrible, but you don't need to watch that to follow this story.
cw: femme-phobic, fatfobic
-
242. 30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii
Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
mlm, ace. ~290 minutes
Virgin guy turns 30 and gains the ability to read minds when touching, finds out hot guy in office has major crush on him. This operates on manga logic, which is so unreasonable that it's hilarious, but I think it's intended to be dead serious.
I mean it's watchable though? You might enjoy it. The gimmick is fun and silly.
TERRIBLE theme song.
cw: the virgin guy is absolutely terrified of even mild physical intimacy and this is treated as normal, nothing to worry about.
-
243. Addicted
Chinese Drama - 2016, 15 episodes
mlm. ~300 minutes
The first couple of episodes in which they prank each other are really funny but it's downhill from there.
This is the extremely popular BL web series that got gay online media made literally illegal in China. That's not speculation, and it's not exaggeration. People were jailed for writing gay fanfic. This series was not allowed to finish airing.
I don't recommend it.
cw: very rapey and abusive.
-
244. All the Liquors
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm. ~120 minutes
Marketing dude x stubborn anti-alcohol chef. Pretty basic enemies to lovers. Stubborn anti-alcohol chef's motivations are really unclear throughout. Also there really is an inordinate amount of falling for no reason in here, given the short runtime. It really does promote alcoholism as a good thing, and soberness as a bad thing.
"I have social anxiety" "Have you tried thinking happy thoughts instead?" "No I haven't, thanks it's fixed now."
Watchable. Forgettable.
-
245. After Sundown
Thai Movie - 2023
mlm. ~106 minutes
Tonally inconsistent, tries to do too many things in too little time, doesn't deserve to be a movie rather than just a standard BL series. I think this could have maybe worked as a longer series. It seems like a lot has been cut. It does nothing new, but hey it's definitely watchable. The set it beautiful.
Arranged marriage in the 60's. Main character acts like a Disney princess from the 50's, fully a damsel. Characters don't feel fleshed out. It relies on you already being invested in the classic ZeeNunew dynamic. Enemies to lovers.
-
246. Bad Guy My Boss
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
mlm. ~590 minutes.
This is what it says on the tin. It's not brilliant, but it doesn't pretend to be, and I appreciate its honesty. It tries to be cheap entertainment and it does that well.
cw: murder, cheating, romanticizing domestic violence
-
247. Bake Me Please
Thai Drama - 2023, 6 episodes
mlm. ~360 minutes
Tsundere baker needs new assistant. Love interest is too toxic and doesn't change enough by the end and yet they still end up together and I don't agree with it. But if you want pretty pictures on your screen for an hour, an episode of this'll do.
-
248. Bed Friend
Thai Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
mlm. ~420 minutes
Drunk one night stand leads to fwb leads to feelings down the road. Tries to tackle #metoo but falls into damsel trap. Kinda drags during last 5 episodes.
cw: Intense homophobic childhood abuse by parent. Consent issues between main pair.
-
249. Beloved Enemy
Chinese Drama - 2017, 15 episodes
Censored mlm. ~525 minutes
From China, so they made it as gay as was legal, and that's not very gay. Manager x rebellious son of the big boss who needs to learn a lesson. It's watchable. It hints towards gayness, but no it is not ever going to actually go there.
They do not have the healthiest dynamic, at all, but it is an interesting watch.
-
250. Blueming
Korean Drama - 2022, 11 episodes
mlm. ~150 minutes
It's about beauty standards & anxiety. It feels too short for me to really connect to any of the characters. We get snippets of their relationship, flying from scene to scene, all far apart in time.
Some people definitely connect to it though, so maybe it's just me. You should give this a try.
-
251. Bon Appetit
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm. ~240 minutes
Dude works in marketing, gets new neighbor who has crushed on him for long time. It's pretty cliché and boring tbh. Not much of a plot. They really have to stop trying to make me care about marketing. It's amazing how slow this is, given its runtime. Then some fabricated nonsense conflict in episode 7 and then they get back together the end.
I mean, if you have nothing else to watch, this exists.
-
252. Bump Up Business
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm. ~120 minutes
He falls for the star he gets paired up with in 'gay concept' boy group. The actors are legitimately in a boy group together.
It's alright. Just don't take it too seriously.
-
253. Business as Usual
Korean Drama - 2025, 6 episodes
mlm. ~160 minutes
Two insecure guys with bad communication skills used to date but fell out, now they meet again and have to re-contextualize everything that happened in a more emotionally mature way.
It's okay. I like the concept. The execution feels a bit bland.
-
254. 'Cause You're My Boy
Thai Drama - 2018, 12 episodes
mlm. ~540 minutes
Barbershop high school kid x friend, enemies to lovers, fake relationship to real, not really special. I'm sure you have better things to watch.
-
255. Chaser Game W: Power Harassment Joshi wa Watashi no Moto Kano
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
wlw. ~240 minutes
Her ex shows up at work to be her new boss and uses her power to take revenge. This has good drama, acting, cinematography and chemistry, but it also seems to be attempting to shame career women for being unfeminine bad mothers, and I don't appreciate that message at all.
It's worth watching. Just look past the BS politics I guess.
cw: workplace harassment, sexual harassment, outing.
-
256. Cherry Blossoms after Winter
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
mlm. ~200 minutes
They're adopted brothers and classmates. One bullied and with an inferiority complex, one protective.
-
257. Cutie Pie 2 You
Thai Special - 2023, 4 episodes
mlm. ~210 minutes
Kuea can't be singer and husband at the same time. Sets up the issue, then skirts it. Kinda meh, plot-wise.
If you can't get enough after Cutie Pie season 1, then yeah why not watch this.
-
258. Dark Blue and Moonlight
Taiwanese Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
mlm. ~360 minutes
I watched this forever ago. I would put this in 'queer media' or 'slice of life' rather than 'BL', but it does definitely have attractive guys who kiss, within the first couple of minutes even.
Protagonist is kinda unlikeable and unreasonable, and the only guy who did seem like a perfectly nice character is the one who got dumped lol.
This is watchable, not super forgettable, but just not super high quality. Give it a try.
-
259. Destiny Seeker
Thai Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
mlm. ~450 minutes
Just your typical engineering students, except with hogwarts mechanics based off 6 types of things you can be good at, one of which is 'handsome'. The plot is stupid and it doesn't make sense.
Subtitles are absolutely terrible. Honestly you need to understand quite a bit of Thai in order to follow this at all.
"We want to use our engineering skills to start a company that will fix the environment, so we're going to be selling pure air and gasmasks to people who need it." and the series treats that like it's actually a good idea.
"I couldn't accept that I like guys, so I pushed you away and pursued this other guy."
You could watch this if you have nothing else to watch, and then forget about it the moment you click off the video.
cw: sleep kiss, a couple of times forced kiss 'but he wanted it so it's okay'
-
260. Exclusive Love
Taiwanese Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
mlm. ~360 minutes
College kid likes singing, but his dad wants him to take over his funeral business, so he hires a strict employee to train his son up. Son likes the employee more than was planned.
It's okay. It's a typical BL. They should have changed actors for the main character though, he doesn't do well.
-
261. Fourever You
Thai Drama - 2024, 17 episodes
mlm. ~720 minutes
This series asserts that watching benevolent sexism play out can actually be enjoyable as long as you turn the girl characters into smaller guys. This is beef I often have with BL, but this series takes it to another level.
If you turn your brain off this is watchable. It does have humor.
-
262. Golden Blood
Thai Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
mlm. ~440 minutes
The dynamic between the leads is strange and unequal. It's watchable but barely. Plot isn't great, acting definitely isn't great, and the blood thing is weird and definitely not how that works IRL.
There's two support girls who really should've ended up together, but lesbians didn't exist in Thai media back then.
-
263. Heart Stain
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
mlm. ~170 minutes
High school kid likes teacher but doesn't want to pursue him. His bestie proposes they date so he can get over his teacher.
Nothing extraordinary.
-
264. HIStory3: Make Our Days Count
Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes
mlm. ~500 minutes
Nerd x jock. Watchable. Some likeable characters. Good acting. Good production quality. I still wouldn't recommend it.
cw: minor x adult sexual relationship, kinda graphic.
Spoiler: Not a good ending.
-
265. I'll Turn Back This Time
Chinese Drama - 2025, 6 episodes
mlm. ~300 minutes
This starts off being an enemies-to-lovers stepbrothers trope, then turns into 'fate determined you can't be in a relationship or you'll die' groundhog day.
This is fine-ish. The pacing is off and not much sense is being made, but it's enjoyable enough. I'm glad Chinese producers are finding ways around censorship.
Spoiler: They don't end up together.
-
266. Individual Circumstances
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm. ~140 minutes
Director meets favorite writer who happens to be his ex crush. The connection between the story they're writing and their own is really on the nose. Subtitle translations not good enough. They're refusing to communicate, and for one of them honestly I think the reasons are childish. This whole plot could've fit into a 30 minute short film and would've been better that way.
There are many better things to watch, but if you're somehow out of those, this is sure a frustrating watch, but I promise you'll forget everything that happened once you click off the video.
cw: Guy A does stalker shit. Guy B got too close to a sleep kiss.

267. Influencers
Filipino Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
mlm, wlw. ~200 minutes
Influencer meets dude on beach, also lesbian friends. This is low quality, indie, authentic, and honestly worth a watch.
-
268. Jazz for Two
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
mlm. ~240 minutes
Homeschooled boy with strict music parent goes to mainstream high school and meets depressed but hot douchebag. Homeschooled boy reminds douchebag of his dead brother, so now he must make his life a living hell. This is like a 'who can communicate the worst' competition. It's very contrived but hey it could be worse. There's nothing wrong with the acting or cinematography.
This is watchable.
cw: bully x bullied and it does get violent and homophobic. Off-screen suicide of supporting character due to homophobia.
-
269. Kare no Iru Seikatsu
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
mlm. ~200 minutes
Estranged childhood besties are made to live together. Sparkly sweet and home-y. Typical BL. Starts off strong, but doesn't manage to keep tension towards the end. There's just no stakes anymore.
-
270. Lost in the Woods
Thai Drama - 2025, 7 episodes
mlm. ~310 minutes
80% landscapes, 5% BL. I like slowburn, but this burns too little for me.
-
271. Love's Coming
Thai Movie - 2014
mlm. ~108 minutes
I watched this probably almost a decade ago. I don't think I should review it without rewatching, but hey, I didn't forget that I ever watched it and that should say something.
-
272. LoveSick 2024
Thai Drama - 2024, 15 episodes
mlm, wlw, T. ~830 minutes
A remake of the 2014 Love Sick, the Thai BL that started all Thai BL. there were some changes to the original plot, changes that make it fluffier, which I like, but also less progressive and transgressive, which I don't like. There is barely a female character with their own plotline left. This started strong but the plot loses steam somewhere halfway.
cw: transphobic caricatures. But also one good trans rep character, so they do know how to do it?
-
273. Low Frequency
Thai Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm. ~350 minutes
This show started out decent and charming and funny and silly, and I honestly think this could have been worth at least a 7 if the editing hadn't been so bad. It's not forgettable.
Falling in love with a 'ghost' who's actually in a coma, figuring out who attempted his murder. Both siblings are extremely casual about seeing ghosts, but the 'ghost' is scared of other ghosts.
Editing is bad. Scenes keep changing, as in, flashbacks show a different version of the same scene, and it's not making sense. There's a whole episode dedicated to a grandma who gets a stroke which has nothing to do with the rest of the story. The episode after that simply doesn't add up at all.
I will say that the side character casually being like 'oh by the way my dad's a mafia boss' is hilarious.
Very anticlimactic. Final episode is just filler lol
-
274. Lucky My Love
Thai Drama - 2023, 5 episodes
wlw. ~150 minutes
Typical marketing boss/subordinate. But hey it's lesbians and they're def cute so I mean I'm hooked. Within the first ep, she's got 2 higher up ladies and one higher up dude vying for her heart.
cw: offensive comedic relief trans woman.
-
275. Mate
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
wlw. ~450 minutes
Rich girl with a homophobic mom re-meets childhood bestie who is now poor, in need of a place to stay, and in the grips of PTSD. There's fluff but also angst.
Nothing about the portrayal of mental health or the treatment thereof is accurate in this show. Serious ethics violations by those psychiatrists. But well it's a show.
cw: realistic portrayal of sexual assault by uncle on female lead. Hated it.
-
276. Meet You at the Blossom
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
mlm. ~540 minutes
This is a mainland Chinese series, which was officially co-produced by a Thai company to hopefully get around censorship laws.
Clumsy and naive rich playboy meets a beautiful 'girl' being attacked in the forest and immediately falls for 'her'. Unfortunately said beautiful girl is actually a male spy who is very ready to use him in order to get closer to his target, the emperor.
This is really funny, and it's an actual mainland Chinese BL, so I'm definitely watching this until the end, but the consent politics are absolutely terrible, and it's making it hard to watch. Sex is portrayed to be a shameful taboo thing that is never far from violence, and I hate that.
cw: romanticized rape, bunch of casual murder, torture, parental abuse, general misery. The average of what you'd expect in a Chinese period drama.
-
277. My Engineer
Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes
mlm. ~700 minutes
Just a trope-y standard Thai BL. The secondary couple is fun but their story is unfinished and will not be finished.
cw: stalker-y, consent issues
-
278. My Gear and Your Gown
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
mlm. ~480 minutes
I'm sure I watched this, but I remember absolutely none of it, and that's because it's as standard a Thai BL as they come.
Tutor x sports guy, falling out, sports guy follows tutor to uni and becomes secret admirer while pretending to hate him still. The shitness of communication in this is legendary.
-
279. My Marvellous Dream Is You
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
wlw. ~600 minutes
Besties who have major crush on one another but can't communicate for shit have shared dreams in which they are able to live out their desires.
This spends too much time having the main characters fight, and not enough time having them fall in love. Other than that, it's watchable, but not exceptional.
-
280. My Plantito
Filipino Drama - 2023, 7 episodes
mlm. ~150 minutes
Femme vlogger gets hot new neighbor, crushes on him and makes bad life decisions. It's not bad, but it's not good. Has an indie feel.
-
281. Nitiman
Thai Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
mlm. ~530 minutes
And another utterly forgettable standard Thai BL.
cw: femme-phobic
-
282. Oh! My Assistant (Movie)
Korean Movie - 2023
mlm. ~115 minutes
Very forgettable. Pretty standard. Plot makes zero sense and in this case it's just frustrating, not funny.
Ok so the lead is a manga artist who draws porn, and yet this series appears to be very sex negative. Then mr absolutely perfect stranger who is in love with him for no reason shows up all emotionless mask + strictness. But they can't be together because mr perfect believes artist is straight despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
In my humble opinion, you can't have dead fish and camera angle kisses when the main character literally draws porn for a living.
Attempts at exaggerated camp humor were made. It works sometimes, doesn't work other times.
cw: femme-phobia, sex negativity
-
283. OMG! Vampire: Uncut Version
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
mlm. ~430 minutes
Supremely stupid and campy, intentionally so. None of this makes any sense. I enjoyed this for the camp, but then they went and seriously ruined it in episode 7, so I don't recommend watching.
cw: Straight up rape in sleep, but 'it's okay because we're boyfriends'.
-
284. Paint with Love
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
mlm. ~540 minutes
Bummed out painter x tightly wound up manager. All of these characters are frustrating. It's not the best, but it's not the worst.
cw: Violently transphobic
-
285. Perfect 10 Liners
Thai Drama - 2024, 24 episodes
mlm. ~1080 minutes
Aaaand we're back to writing about the most popular engineering students, enemies to lovers tropes. It's the standard GMMTV rom-com BL formula. It's the safe kind of content that they know works, and that they have expertise in.
-
286. Perfect Propose
Japanese Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
mlm. ~150 minutes
Workaholic runs into childhood 'fiancé' who is deadset on seducing him for real. This has some really funny lines.
cw: nonconsensual handjob in first ep, romanticized.
-
287. Sing My Crush
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm. ~200 minutes
Guy who can sing lives with best friend/fan who likes him. Lots of time skips early on. Should've been flashbacks. They're being adorable, and the singing is excellent, but it doesn't feel like there's much of a plot. Also, him being gently rejected is treated as like the biggest trauma ever and that annoys me. Where are the stakes? Where is the conflict? They both clearly like each other and already live together, but pine and angst over nothing anyways.
Forgettable but watchable.
-
288. Sotus
Thai Drama - 2016, 15 episodes
mlm. ~675 minutes
Remembered as the first Thai BL to reach an international audience. It's your typical Thai BL with engineering students, hazing, toxicity and the phobia of even mild intimacy that all early Thai BL did, but that's because all the other ones copied this one.
-
289. SOTUS S
Thai Drama - 2017, 13 episodes
mlm. ~585 minutes
They are no longer students, but their relationship has not progressed.
-
290. Summer Indigo
Korean Drama - 2025, 60 episodes
mlm. ~120 minutes
Judo boys secretly crushing on each other slowly find out the gay friend they've been texting is their crush. Meanwhile, a couple of homophobes do their best to ruin their day and their judo careers.
It's about what you expect from a BL.
-
291. The Best Story
Thai Drama - 2021, 3 episodes
mlm. ~120 minutes
High school, dude gets hit by ball, then falls for guy who hit him.
spoiler: not a happy ending.
-
292. The Shipper
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Not technically mlm, T. ~540 minutes
I don't recommend this one. Fujoshi bodyswaps with a guy she ships with his friend. It's cringey, and not really in a fun way. I feel like this show kinda hates its audience.
The nonbinary angel of death is fun though. She is kind of a standard comedic relief trans woman, but idk I like her.
spoiler: not a happy ending.
cw: consent politics not great.
-
293. The Middleman's Love
Thai Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm. ~390 minutes
Adorkable. It's a little silly and annoying and stupid and I don't recommend it, but it's also not the worst thing in the world. Insecure dude attempts to match-make his crush with another guy, managing to get in the way of both his own ship, and that guy's ship. These are some odd comedic choices. It gets a little better as the episodes go on.
-
294. Unlock Your Love
Thai Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
wlw. ~320 minutes
Plot is pretty standard rom-com. The first episode is REALLY rough, but the ones after that are more watchable. The girls are definitely very cutesy, but yeah there are better GL's you could be watching instead.
-
295. Why R U?
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
mlm. ~240 minutes
Feels rushed, low budget, makes you realize why cinematographers exist, because man I just can't even see what's happening with these camera angles. Snippets that don't go anywhere and scenes seems chopped up beyond repair. Subs not accurate. Plot is different from original and I'm mildly confused what's what. Should take more time to introduce its characters. Too many irrelevant 'friend' extras. It's also campy fun stupidity though and I'm always up for that.
-
296. Y-Destiny
Thai Drama - 2021, 15 episodes
mlm. ~900 minutes
2 episodes per couple. Standard Thai BL. Plot and character motivations don't seem to add up chronologically. It just generally doesn't make a lot of sense. Ep 5&6 quite weak. Didn't like 9&10 at all.
consent issues in some of these.
-
297. Yes or No 2.5
Thai Movie - 2015
wlw, GNC. ~108 minutes
This story has nothing to do with Yes or No 1 and 2.
Two butch roommates re-meet old friends/crushes. Deals with some internalized homophobia. It's fine as a story, but it doesn't really impress me in any way.
-
298. Deep Night Side Story: The Two of Us Season 2
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
wlw. ~75 minutes
Season 2. To watch this, you should first watch season one of The Two of Us, but you don't need to have watched Deep Night.
These appear to be 5 short stories with not much plot. Production quality is quite bad. But they're still sweet together. These two actresses did well with what they were given.
-
299. Sukiyanen Kedo Do Yaro ka
Japanese Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
mlm. ~230 minutes
Cook guy likes uptight customer. It's awkward and they do the Japanese emotional constipation -> explosion thing. Plot is a bit of a mess and I've never seen two actors with less chemistry than these two. The characters have absolutely no reason to be together.
-
300. Ameiro Paradox
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
mlm. 200 minutes
Goody two shoes is constantly overshadowed by his chaotic neutral colleague at his paparazzi job. Subpar mysteries. Something missing in the chemistry, and I think it has to do with subpar editing and camera work, but it might also be the blonde guy's acting, because he doesn't make any facial expressions, like at all. Or it's the lack of buildup in the relationship. They suddenly love each other and want to live together even though they are practically still strangers who can't communicate with each other about the most basic things.
Some people like this, so idk maybe you will too, but I can't say I understand it.
