There’s annoying kdrama/kmovie children and then there’s Jain. I haven’t been this annoyed by a character in a while. I kept wishing they’d just fling him into the water and the movie would end.
I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. It was very introspective and also helped me question things in my own life.
It's not a basic romance drama. It felt different in a really good way. The characters are well fleshed out and flawed in many ways, but written in a way that no one is a villain for their choices. Those choices are part of their journey, no matter how selfish they may be.
He's not. Sehee used the sperm of celebrities and extremely intelligent men for all of her children. She's the mother of the kids she sells, but their fathers are people she personally selects and are unknown.
It’s not redemption it’s reasoning for why she goes so far.
Some actions are beyond any reasoning. Her just being evil for evil sake would have made more sense. Her reason for killing numerous children who have her genes because her mother abandoned her feels so ridiculously over the top.
I love when Kdramas don't overstay their welcome. The pacing was good, the acting was compelling, the characters were decently fleshed out. But, the writers trying to humanize the villain at the end didn't move me one bit.
There is evil and there is Kim Sehee's level of evil. She was killing HER OWN CHILDREN. No amount of emotional backstory can make me see her in a better light. All I can see is pure darkness🤷♀️
The beginning episodes and the excessive drinking were a huge turn off, but I continued watching with hopes that it would develop into an amazing story eventually. And, develop into an amazing story It did. Their chemistry wasn't overwhelming or anything, but it was intriguing enough to keep my attention. The side stories of the the other characters were also interesting enough that it didn't feel like it was taking away time from the main couple.

I was expecting to be disappointed. Season twos of most dramas end up being empty and spoil the plot. But, I finished the second season and ended up liking it even more than the first. The ending was bittersweet too.
After watching episode 5, can't the three of them just be a throuple or something. I don't even have second lead syndrome anymore. This Kdrama has unlocked a new kdrama syndrome. "Could be a throuple" syndrome.
People that might be confused about the ratings, don't mind it. Some people that dislike Choo youngwoo rate his shows on here badly in the beginning. It happened to The Tale of lady Ok too. After more episodes air, the real ratings will show. Don't let the current MDL ratings affect you choosing to watch this Kdrama or not
