I agree i loved both of those especially because the FL in both TBT and LBL actually was equally affectionate…
That’s definitely Meet Yourself. It’s a little slow at first, but trust me, it’s totally worth it. And the female lead in this drama is exactly as you described. In my opinion, it’s the most greenflag female lead in a C-drama.

Forever and Ever, Fake It Till You Make It, and Sniper Butterfly are also great ones that fit your description.

Will Love in Spring is good because the female lead acts her age, but I’m not sure about the balanced affection (you’ll have to watch it yourself to judge) but you’ll get plenty of kisses, so I think it’s worth a try 😅.

You Are My Glory and Hidden Love are the opposite. You get balanced affection, but I’m not sure if the female lead acts her age. Still, I think they’re worth watching.

This is one of those dramas with the best story buildup. The first two episodes set the stage perfectly, leaving us eagerly anticipating the next episode. It reminds me of Meet Yourself (C-drama) and My Liberation Notes, both of which have great story buildup.

But I found the storyline involving the female lead and her ex to be quite distracting and unnecessary. I’m more interested in seeing how the female lead progresses in her career.

On Love Actually Season 4 Jun 4, 2026
Decided to watch this because season 5 just aired. I understand why, when scrolling down the comments, many people say it's bad, but in some of the recent reviews, they say it's good. In my opinion, aside from one couple, the cast lacked romantic chemistry at the beginning of the show. With a total of 26 episodes, it felt very slow-paced, especially if you watched it while it was ongoing. But trust me, if you just have a little patience, you are the lucky ones who get to watch it after it has finished airing.

This is one of those dating shows where all the cast members are incredibly genuine and kind. I don't think there's a single cast member I disliked, they all have their own distinct charms. Some people have their flaws, but if you watch until the end, you'll see that they are all good people. And because they are so sincere, their friendship is arguably the best out of any dating show. I never expected to see such a great friendship on a dating show where the cast members are mostly in their 30s.

As for the romance, it was indeed lacking in the beginning, but the second half was really good. There is one couple that everyone talks about, and I get it—they are incredibly sweet. However, I think the other couple is fantastic too. Maybe it's because I was more drawn to them individually and I like their genre more. He silently does thoughtful things for her without getting in her way, and she finally notices his efforts and falls in love with him. Their love story is beautiful, and you'll miss out if you skip it.

The fact that those two couples are still together makes me appreciate this show even more.

Unpopular opinion since I am not here to see any kind of drama but I thoroughly enjoy HouWo and WanKa CP. Rooting…
Did WanKa end up together in the show?

Title Twinkle Love Season 5 Spoiler
We're getting so many different couple dynamics this season. Here's my take on each couple and the cast. ⬇️
BE Couple

Lily and Jack:
Honestly, whenever I look at them, they feel like a failed version of the FengYe CP (Season 3), that cool girl and puppy guy dynamic. During the show, I hated how Lily was always trying to change Jack personality and behavior. At the time, I felt like she was asking for too much. But thinking about it again, she actually has the right to try and get a partner who fits her standards. And Jack on the other hand if he felt bothered by it, could've just stopped pursuing Lily, especially since Oliv still liked him back then. But he chose to keep chasing Lily. So in my opinion, it’s not entirely Lily fault.

And I think this is where the main problem begins. During the show, i think Jack was only attracted to her, not truly in love. You can clearly see the difference when someone is actually in love, like Lily in episode 10, you could already see her starting to fall for him, and it was so obvious. And in Encore, she was 100% in love, which really showed.

But at least their Encore didn't turn out as bad as the rumors said. Jack rejected Lily twice, saying they were better off as just friends, so at least the rejection was to be expected. I feel so bad for Lily though. She’s the type of girl who’s willing to change when she falls in love. You can see from her letter that she stopped demanding anything from him and even put in a massive amount of effort in the last month of their relationship. Honestly, if Jack had really been in love with her, I’m sure he would’ve accepted her. But from what I saw, he was only attracted to Lily, and that attraction faded once they were off the show.

Zhouzhou and Xinwen:
First off, Zhouzhou is so cute! I totally get why Yiyang like her at first sight😂. And the way she acts when she’s in love is even cuter, she is just so easy to read😂. But as she mentioned to Xinwen, and I could totally feel it too, her love for him is much deeper than his feelings for her. he’s still such a good guy though.

In the Encore, it looks like they’ve still been trying to stay in touch, and you can tell Zhouzhou is still very much into him. But given that they were one of the most long-distance couples out there, Australia and China. I guess they just couldn't make it work. Still, I’m wishing the best for both of them.

Bayao and Oliv:
There isn’t much I can say about them because they left early in episode 7. But I’m glad they’re still friends outside the show. I thought Bayao was a boring character, but he turned out to be an enjoyable one. Oliv is also very beautiful and quite funny. I’m surprised Jack didn’t give her a chance. Well, at least that’s better for her. I wish them both the best.

Title Twinkle Love Season 5 Spoiler
We're getting so many different couple dynamics this season. Here's my take on each couple and the cast. ⬇️
Lovely-dovey / romantic couple (Yuna and Sean):
First of all, individually they’re the kindest people. Like Jason said, they’re a couple with big hearts. In the end they just suit each other. Yuna is honestly the perfect girl, not just pretty, but also emotionally smart. She’s so kind that Zhaoyu often describes her kindness, and her descriptions just spot on.

As a kind person herself, she really values kindness in a partner, and Sean is the perfect match for that. Sean is the ideal partner, but one moment I’ll never forget is when he defended Yiyang (Eon). “No matter what people say to you, I’ll always have your back and speak up for you, because I know you’re a good person.” Saying something like that to a friend he’d only known for a week is amazing. He’s truly a good person.

They’re just meant to be. They were so romantic on the show and during the encore too😊. They are the ideal couple, so they are really meant for each other 💯. They also go to the same university, so they won’t have to deal with long distance. They’ve even met each other’s parents. If there’s a couple most likely to last, it’s them.
_____________________________________

Bickering couple (Nora and Jason):
Their dynamic is probably the most fun😂. They tease each other like friends but still give off romantic vibes. They had a communication problem in the middle, but they handled it well and quickly. If Yuna has the best EQ among the girls, Jason has the best EQ among the guys. Nora is pretty emotional, so Jason is the right person because he gives her a sense of security.

From the show and outside the show, they’re the least awkward couple and seem experienced in relationships. They’re the most comfortable holding hands, hugging, even kissing, like it’s normal for them😭.

They’re the longest-distance couple, USA and Korea. But from what we saw at Encore, they seem to be handling it well. I wish them the best.

She felt first but he didn’t, then he realized he liked her too. My favorite couple (Zhaoyu and Eon / Yiyang):
I just really love them. Their trope and dynamic are my absolute favorite, bubbly girl and a shy guy, which makes me like them even more. There’s so much I want to say about them. What I appreciate most from them in the show is that they stayed true to themselves, they didn’t force romantic moments, and everything they said felt genuinely sincere.

I totally get each of their perspectives, and like Sean said, no one’s to blame here. They’re just good people being honest about their feelings while trying to understand each other.

Aaaaa, their 8-minute video was so cute 😭. Eon really kept his promise and visited Zhaoyu in Xiamen. In that video you can see them go from still in the shy, getting-to-know-you stage to becoming comfortable and less awkward, and starting to touch, hold hands, and yes — we finally got a kiss 💯😭.

Their Encore was super cute too, you can see how much Eon loves Zhaoyu and how grateful he is to be with her. His confession letter was so sincere. Zhaoyuu, you deserve him after everything you went through on the show. Wishing you both the best👏.

On Twinkle Love Season 5 May 28, 2026
Finally finished watching it! I decided to buy the express for the encore because I couldn't wait another week, and honestly, it was so worth it. This season is definitely the best, on par with Season 3, or maybe even better because of the stunning winter scenery and cinematography. It was a bit boring in the first few episodes, but the second half completely saved it.

The director got really lucky. They said this season would focus more on friendships, but unexpectedly, it delivered amazing romantic results. I heard it’s super successful in the mainland, and from what I’ve seen on X and TikTok, whenever a cast member steps out, huge crowds of fans swarm them. It’s no surprise though, because this season is genuinely that good.

What I appreciate the most is that every couple really makes an effort to see each other outside the show and tries to stay in touch, whether things end up with a happy ending (HE) or a bad ending (BE). Their dedication is totally worth appreciating.
