Papa Jin/Choi is an insecure man. He probably heard how his daughter was saved and assumed the worst. But there was nothing between Jang Kang and mama Jin. And I think papa Jin was Bu-Yeon's reall father.

Why wouldn't he take Jin Mu as an assistant? Jin Mu is a boot licker, he can mask his intentions well. Also, he's not a nobody - he's still a Jin, a noble.
