And I disagree, because it's a show and the audience likes to be entertained. ML's type of character is popular classic for a reason in many books and media.

In episode one prosecuted granny said FL's father graduated from law school, so he wasn't a dropout. It's not clear whether he actually practiced law. And that senior colleague in FL's law firm probably is her mother, as she came to visit FL's father?

Dunno, so far it has a very even pace with juicy reveals in every episode. But to each their own.

He's boring because he has no flaws or struggles, that's not a good character design. Even CP is better. People like flawed characters and underdogs who manage to rise above their shortcomings to prevail against all odds. That's why ML's character is so well liked.

He's not interested in her romantically only because he already has feelings for Jin clan's girl. But she still charmed him as a friend.

I agree that he's lazy, but also he doesn't have his big childhood ambitions now, because Songrim leader lied to him about his birth secret. So he thinks he's not worthy of his father's title anymore, that's a big blow. Atm, he only wants to help Mu-Deok and maybe have a chance at winning the duel.

Our girl Mu-Deok/Naksu is charming all the guys around her, lol. Would be funny if they gonna start fighting over her.

How long are they gonna drag that Naksu and Seo Yul childhood crush thing? It's rather annoying. I hope it's not as annoying and dumb as it was in Mr. Queen. Episode 7 preview still has it going it seems.

The audience is just observant and experienced, and knows how k-drama plots usually unfold. And it's not like this drama tries to hide plot points particularly hard, it gradually reveals the most interesting ones. And there were even snippets of info about characters, clans and the world that were officially released before the show even aired.

More villainous than Naksu, lol? I doubt it, she’s too young and was living like a pauper in some backward village. Also if ML is falling for FL it would be Naksu, because only very superficial guys fall for the body, not personality. ML doesn’t look like a superficial guy.
