Finished binging!! OMG..the best and most satisfying xianxia ending ever!!!!! I still can’t believe that we have one whole final episode dedicated for all the sweetness, love and humor. This is such a breath of fresh air. Not your typical xianxia. It has a lot of modern values.

The three realms are Nether, Demon and Immortal realms. The story in the drama focuses on the beings in these three realms. Gods reside in God realm which is higher than these three realms and they're not supposed to meddle with the affairs of these realms.

Xiu Yan is the older bro. At one time (thousands of years ago), Xiu Yan was a Nether King and Ao Ge was a Heavenly King. 70,000 years ago, there was a war between the devils and the three realms, Xiu Yan sacrificed his soul to seal the Devil King Ming Qi within the Abyss Prison. Later Ao Ge became the Nether King (the current timeline in TLI) to protect one half of Xiu Yan’s soul and hope to find treasures to resurrect/heal Xiu Yan’s physical being one day. Ao Ge has one half Xiu Yan’s soul within himself and the other half is within Abyss Prison. That’s why later on in the drama, Ao Ge demands a half of Ayin’s Water Divine Beast power because Water Devine Beast has ability to heal.
