I believe the Water Dragon they fought possessed a demigod power due to his dark cultivation method. And it’s essentially that power that broke the master-servant contract during the fight.

I like the concept in this drama where they show how the immortals assume different roles in heavenly palace and perform their duties. They’re promoted when they perform well. I am happy to see A Yin climb the heavenly ladder with hard work despite lacking spiritual power just like our modern world.
I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen such a concept in a xianxia world.

On the other note, do you think Gu Jin purposely released the spirit sword to chase HS away?

His character is a breath of fresh air in xianxia world. He’s just and fair. Usually Heavenly Emperor is a bad character and power hungry in xianxia, e.g. The Starry Love and TMOPB

I like your comment about A Yin should be the metric to measure a character. She’s that precious and pure. Love her!

So far they have collected 5 pieces of FY’s soul. Based on the future episode previews, A Yin will exchange her half lifespan with two pieces held by Ao Ge from the Nether Realm. A Yin has one piece within her that keeps her alive, so she has to die for FY to resurrect.

I really like A Yin character. She’s so adorable, talkative, brave and outspoken. She reminds me of Cheng Shaoshang in LLTG.
