MMM management, KTR’s agency, is taking part in production so most likely she is confirmed to be playing the…
What's the difference? To me if it has two of the main women falling in love it's in part a GL, even if romance isn't the primary genre of the drama.

JN casting news going viral on Korean twitter again 😆 as it should ✨ https://twitter.com/rlaalsrud0710/status/1628207099682639873?s=46&t=HKaTv1jLzv6pifA862Y-kg
There's so much anticipation for this drama 😯
Let's hope the writing/directing does justice to the hype.

Title Killer Queen
Based on the synopsis this is definitely up her alley. She'd be fantastic
Every lead role she's had she's done amazing. I wonder why lately she's only taken on support roles. She deserves a lead again, a complex one.

Just completed Mr. Sunshine! Love her acting and I have sm respect for her versatility. She isn't boring by sticking…
Until now Taeri has done an excellent job at picking projects and maintaining a good balance between her film and television career.
On Young Lady and Gentleman Feb 9, 2023
Why did Wang Bit Na's (Guk Hee) character just suddenly exit the story? What was the point of the character? Did the writer/director fear the very obvious superior chemistry she had with the male lead? lol. I really liked her character and the dynamic with her sister, she was sweet and funny.

Just wondering cause it was so sudden.

Please someone give her the lead role in a big kdrama. She is so good (totally enamored after seeing her slay in Mysterious Personal Shopper. She carried that show) and deserves a big standout project.

is this confirmed total 16 episode? not 12?
The ep. count is back down to 12.

I'm on episode 40 (almost half-way done) and though it has a lot of soap opera tropes it's well done and avoids many cliches imo. I absolutely love Wang Bit-Na's role & performance, Kyung Hye's character development has been great. I've loved seeing her growth & determination to bettering her life. From an angry & emotionally unstable person who needed protection, to someone that's trying to be the protector of the people she loves.

I don't know what will happen in later episodes but I hope to continue seeing growth (and I'm sure she'll have setbacks) in her character. Se Yeon is a very nice character too but next to a more flawed and complicated character like Kyung Hye she feels a little stilted, there's not much growth that she needs. But I love the development of her relationship with Kyung Hye, I'm sure they'll go through several phases but they'll remain my favorite aspect of the drama. I also really enjoy the development of Young Sook and her two daughters, found family has always been a story that I really enjoy.

This is a story that would've been interesting to see as a shorter weekly drama. No more than 20 episodes.

Fingers crossed it goes to Netflix, especially if it has Taeri. A 2024 release was what I expected, probably first…
I remember some article stating filming was to start around the summer months. I guess it could always get pushed, especially if Taeri is the lead and she doesn't have enough time to prepare due to filming Devil. Regardless of when it starts filming, I hope the release doesn't get delayed until 2025.

I hope we start hearing about casting for other characters soon.

Nope 🥲 Not Yet.Netflix released their 2023 lineup & this one wasn’t part of it. I think the steaming service…
That's a bummer. But I'm still hopeful that if Devil becomes a hit maybe Netflix will add it next year or something. They've added older dramas recently like Signal and Sky Castle. Or maybe Netflix has closer busniness with TvN than SBS.

I don’t have Viki so I'd rather Disney+/Hulu or Prime lol
On Portrait of a Beauty Jan 19, 2023
I really disliked the portrayal of romance in this movie (super rushed). Especially the way they glossed over and kind of romanticized the fact that Hong Do raped Yun Bok.

Between this and Painter of the Wind, the drama is more worthwhile, in my opinion. The drama actually touches on the struggles Jun Bok deals with by not being able to live as her true self. This movie wasted opportunity, instead of focusing on Yun Bok's character it was more about the two guys fighting over her. And the amount of nudity and over-the-top sex scenes were there for the spectacle and shock value while not adding to the story.

Title Little Women
Absolutely loved this drama, I was hooked right from the start. Though I'm a bit confused as to why Hwa Young is billed as a supporting character when a big chunk of the show and In Joo's story revolves around her character. Not to mention that the final episode and climax with the main villain are centered on In Joo and Hwa Young.

My only disappointment is that Hwa Young gets the harshest punishment out of all the characters (prison and body disfigurement) when the worst she did was take stolen money from murderers, once. Meanwhile, Do Il whose entire career is illegal doesn't spend a single day in prison. And then there's what In Joo does to Sang-A lol. Like, Hwa Young is the one that went through the trouble but in the end the sisters and Do Il are the ones that get to keep the money all while Hwa Young gets locked away, wtf? That's messed up lol. I would've loved it if at least we got a time jump to see what would be of her life after prison as well as how In Joo would finally live for herself. And to see how or if they'd continue their close relationship.

I really liked how each of the sisters had a different relationship with poverty and wealth (I couldn't stand the youngest of the three), as well as very different moral codes.
On Green Mothers' Club Jan 19, 2023
The story really picks up at around episode 5. I thought they did well with some of the subject matter they chose to incorporate. The characters were all very flawed (at times unlikable on purpose) and morally grey which I really enjoyed. Eun Pyo got a bit on my nerves with her mousey & unexpressive/deadpan personality but grew on me. I think the fact she was able to forgive Chun Hui so easily is a testament to the almost instinctual connection/draw she felt towards her which is a clear contrast to how she felt about Jin Ha, who no matter how much she tried couldn't get Eun Pyo to see how much she loved her (the tragedy is that she does after Jin Ha's death). I found it really amusing how Eun Pyo seemed more in love with Chun Hui than with her own husband (they never share a hug or show any intimacy). I really believe it was a love story between these two women, despite all they went through or did against each other, they could still find sympathy for the other and overcome it all to be in each other's lives.

Was the Netflix lineup for the whole year or just the coming months? Even if they don't release it as a "Netflix Original" it could eventually end up on there.
Also, why not Disney+? Could also go to Amazon.

It is very surprising that Netflix won't be the international streaming distributor since the show stars Taeri who has two shows and a movie with them, plus the writer of Kingdom.

Fell in love with her acting and aura in Little Women, currently watching Green Mother's Club. An amazing talent and so beautiful.
She's a very captivating actress. She has a presence that easily commands attention in any scene she's in.

It was released this month.
I really recommend it. No heavy drama, arguments, etc, very sweet story & characters.
