To be honest IMO neither voice , directing , screenplay and actor contributed much to show about his character as well

Completed 20 episodes and one word disappointed! There is no depth to characters whatsoever and some of the side characters are just outright unbelievable and doesnt even add to the romance of the leads which seems to be the reason behind introducing such characters. Ughhh. Sighhh . Acting wise so so. Not bad i guess but in any case its not like story demanded much from them anyways. I expected something like flourish in time(go ahead also has grow up together but thats very heavy drama so didnt expect that much) but it doesnt even get anywhere close to it.

9 episodes in i dont see any character arc of any characters. Most of side characters are too childish for my liking .Even teachers are childish. Hoping it turns around!

Huh. i never liked Zhao Lusi till now somehow but i gave Hidden Love a chance and for once i think its worth the hype. I thing its about the genre and the kind of genre we want to watch at certain point in time

This ! I have been saying the same they didn’t show FL state clearly . There are couple of scenes added which I added to the sense of her being normal . They could have atleast avoided that. For ex: When she looks at fish given by SY and says guess we won’t meet again . It looked as if she was saying so casually as if he was colleague. Her shopping with brother searching for fav brand of oats. I mean I am not an expert but these scenes looks like FL is like any other rich kid with no issues . These makes audience disconnect with her. She need not be always crying but showing such scenes change her situation perspective

Going to him and after that SY MYC discussion was fine. But the moment she comes from garage and goes to SY it was little choppy. we are discussing about that. If she goes first to MYC and then chooses SY it would still be the same except it wouldnt be disconnected scene. Again it didnt do major harm i suppose but it just looked fast forwarded a bit. I loved the convo between SY and MYC though.

I dont know how it is in novel but i loved the confrontation. It was mature and conversation exactly to the point with no over the top confrontation . It brought MYC out of his delusion and also showed how SY understood XQ situation with that hint of sadness and regret somewhere.

But wanting to jump off building is right? so they discussing about depression i guess. but thats what is not well made according to me. FLs state is not clear in the drama from the get go and we dont get much of flashbacks to understand except deducing from how disgusting her family is and her backstory from childhood not from her current state or how she spent once she is adult! her being cheerful makes her look as if she didnt care about ML as much as he cared sometimes. i wonder if thats why lot of people hate FL (which i still dont get it bcs even without all this FL situation is understandable )

I am glad they did atleast now about her state. IMO if they had stated this early on lot of people would start loving FL much early on and would want best for her

Haha i think what she values most is wealth and power. i would go for any options which would make her devoid of that and suffer the consequences bcs no one would turn up to help her

Oh is it ! XQ went through so much more than what is shown. Here it looks like only brain washing and emotional torture but not physical and nothing at all about orphanage. They cant even mention this ? May be they could have shown FL a little more angsty then. She didnt look that much except her outburst and some scenes in initial episodes. I blame director for this. Should have somehow conveyed that then i guess everyone would relate more to FL

Agree on the angst part. i wanted more of Xu Qins situation . How bad it is. Right now we know mostly how much SY loved her and suffered. We know XQ background but not her suffering throughout these years. They didnt show her thoughts clearly. Her convo with her new friend too was so bland. I wanted more of her feelings coming out atleast there
