It’s my second Cheng Yi drama. He’s such a great actor who truly brings a character to life. Even with a weak script (especially ep 18–28), he still completely embodies Fugui. Honestly, he’s the only reason I and probably many others haven’t dropped this drama.
The series had so much potential. The first half was genuinely strong and made me really connect with Fugui, but the second half felt mishandled. It’s starting to get back on track around ep 30, so I just hope the final episodes return to that earlier quality. No hate to the other actors. They’re doing well but Cheng Yi deserves better. They really did his character dirty, and I just hope he gets a happy ending.
I also just don’t get why the hero always has to die for the villain to fall. The whole story has emphasized Fugui’s will to live a simple, peaceful life and see a world where demons and humans coexist. If he has to destroy the black grief tree at the cost of his own life, then what was the point of everything he endured? He wants to live. I really hope the writers don’t throw that away.
I really thought with his father gone, we will see more of them together and accompanying each other. But QT be…
yes, and now we will see more of annoying QJT. also, the squad fighting with grief tree and probably someone going to die either Fugui or QT and end. where’s my couple?!
Tomorrow is the endgame of this most awaited drama on my list. But where's the love 😭😭My couple keep suffering,…
I really thought with his father gone, we will see more of them together and accompanying each other. But QT be like “I will return to Qianji city tomorrow”. What the hell?!
Where’s the romance? Where’s the deep emotional connection? It’s going to end tomorrow, and we still doesn’t have any closure about main couple. What is the writer trying to do? I am fine with minimal romance, but in the initial episode, romance was a part of it and it was beautiful. However, with the separation arc, the emotional connection that they had, I just can’t feel it anymore. The relationship seems more distant now. With only four episodes left, I have no idea how their relationship would end.
On ep 29, and really disappointed. Why are we getting only 5-7 mins of Cheng Yi??!? I'm really sick of it. Now that QC is gone hope we are back on track with more Cheng Yi, and are shown more of our main couple. Writers are really sabotaging the whole talented cast with such a bad script. It feels like ep 1-20 and 20-29 had different writers. Hope it's back on track; otherwise it's a total letdown.
Qingtong character has taken a totally different turn. She's not the same one who I liked at the start, bright and positive. Is it because of the seed?
I’ll put this on hold until the ending comes out. I’m only at episode 18, and wow.. the comments for the next…
I am on episode 22, and not liking it the same way i liked the starting of the series, however, it’s worth it because of CY and his dynamic with his friends. this is the only thing that’s helping me to continue watching it because this siblings arc is very annoying and I just watch them at 2x speed and then come back to normal when it’s CY.
After episode 20, it looks like everything has changed, for instance Qingtong’s character. She was smart and a good observer, but can’t she see that how come his “sick” brother became powerful all of a sudden? I know he told about someone giving him something. But still, this can’t change the fact that he’s able to control it easily, and he’s more powerful than her. And the arc where her character is going towards, I’m really not liking it. Suddenly it feels like some other kind of drama.
omg oh noooooo I HATE SITU LING type secondary love interests
Haven’t watched it. What made him different? Did he stopped chasing her and respected her choice? If yes, then we want this kind of character more than creeps.
