I can't believe people are supporting a drama in 2024 that romanticizes rape...And to think that some of these…
I will most definitely support this drama, no matter what the characters did or will do in the future simply because I've been waiting for about 8 years for a new uncensored BL from China. Yes, I know it's a collaboration with Taiwan and Thailand, but let's be real, it's a Chinese BL in essence. A Chinese BL in which they openly say they love each other and they hold hands and kiss and more! This is an important milestone. So yeah, if the characters are toxic, fuck it. Because if this one goes well, we might get a lot more uncensored BLs that are based on Chinese novels in the future. What I'm trying to say is, you have to see the bigger picture here: If Meet you at the Blossom is successful, we will most likely get more uncensored Chinese BLs through collaborations with Taiwan/Thailand and then it's only a matter of time until they'll create series that don't include SA and actually show healthy relationships.
I get why this series might not be for everyone. But I'm an enjoyer of deranged and extremely possessive characters, so I'm really having a blast while watching it! The darker the plot, the better hehe~ Hopefully Huaien will go full crazy in the next episodes :D
This is a classic Japanese BL from days long past. While watching this BL, you should remember that it's based on a story that was written in the mid 90s (30 years ago!), at a time when you'd already feel lucky when they didn't use the "kill your gays" trope. So idk, take it as a historic document of sorts? And take the tags/trigger warnings seriously.
Rewatched this one again. As the other reviews say: It's so bad, it's actually good! Unforgotten Night is easily one of my favorite BLs of all time. It's silly and unhinged (shoes on the bed, everything Kamol says, weird ad placements, the bodyguard throuple, Danil as a whole lol), but still has a reasonably good plot and the character's have background stories and personality. Plus there is actual communication going on between Kim and Kamol and not every little problem ends up in a fight and drama, which is really refreshing to see. As always a 9/10 watch for me 🤗
I haven't watched the last two episodes yet. Can anyone tell me if the magic/mystical elements (they were naga or some other kind of magical creature in their past lives?) get any screen time? I've already given up on the mpreg, but I'm still kind of hoping for some more Thai folklore.
Rak basically following in his mom's footsteps?Rak having no closure with a father that physically hurt him? Waiting…
Thing is, Rak is just a standard "poor rich boy" trope. He's not even enough of a pathetic wet blanket to actually make me feel sorry for him or care if he ever makes up with his family.
Dropped. The plot is basically none-existent and the few and far in-between nc scenes really can't make up for it (would've maybe stayed for unhinged smut and pwp, but there is really nothing going on so... 😅). They should've remained on the island, at least there was the pretty scenery I could look at. Have to say though, I don't think it's the actors fault. They did their best with the script that was given to them. Hopefully I can see them in a non-Mame story in the future
Why this actors is chinese and country title is given as Thailand??
It's because the novel the series is based on and some of the actors are chinese, but the series is being produced by Thailand and Taiwan to get around the censorship. I think most of the film crew is Thai from what I've heard. The author and chinese actors are still taking a risk though, but it's probably less risky than producing the series in China. If this project works out, we might get a lot more uncensored wuxia BLs in the future :)
OH MY GOSH both of them are super cute and darling and the height difference is killing me! Such a sweet little movie. Definitely a recommendation from me! Loved it 💕
Being difficult is exactly tongrak's character. And by Mahasamut's expression i think he clearly knows what he's…
Mahasamut must really love him then (or really want his money) if he's able to put up with that. Being traumatized and socially awkward is one thing, but Tongrak is just plain rude at times. Here's to hoping those walls will break down quickly
I don't quite understand why everyone was so rude towards Mahasamut. Even if he'd be a fulltime boy toy (which he isn't, it's obvious he doesn't care about money at this point), he'd still deserve some basic respect. Tongrak's secretary was especially hard to endure. Like girl, if you can't take the answers the boys are giving you, don't get all up in their business? Vivi, take your girlfriend away please... And Tongrak should stop giving Mahasamut the cold shoulder. I mean, Tongrak was the one who came up with the idea that Mahasamut should go to Bangkok with him and now he's hardly talking to him. Yes, I know it's because Tongrak is shy and can't deal with his budding feelings, but still... he could at least stop being so difficult for three seconds, that's all I'm asking for.
I really love this series so far!
