One thing that makes me smile watching this drama is the sheer number of times the FL comments how handsome Deng…
I completely agree. I feel the exact same way. If they had chosen a not so good looking actor and the FL won't stop calling him handsome, I would get annoyed but here, she has every reason to - because he really is drop dead gorgeous. My eyes can't focus on anyone else when SYS is in the frame
n the novel, SYS is depicted as an ethereal and stunning man with a slender figure, long legs, broad shoulders, and other striking features. I think the director made the perfect casting choice for SYS. On top of that, despite this being Deng Wei's first lead role, he absolutely nailed it. Normally, I get a bit exhausted when a drama keeps insisting that a character is beautiful when they don’t quite live up to it—but here? I swear, every time SYS appears, my eyes are completely glued to him. Long eyelashes, nice skin, soft lips, and perfect proportions—T___T. I swear I'm not that shallowwww
OMGG i cried so much T___T deng wei acting is soooo goooood. Also Julia xiang acting tooo. i need to calm myself down, but THE FIGHTING SCENE TOO, CGI, OST. And we're only on ep 7 T___T bless
came across this very interesting thread about Lighting for Night shots for anyone interested in this topic, becos…
haha i think when some of the trailers/teaser videos came out for LTDT, some fans did mention it being too dark to the director to which he replied that the lighting is all intentional and to ask them to trust his vision. I do agree it's a bit dark in some scenes, but I also appreciate the natural elements and ambience
Love of the Divine tree is great! I hope they can advertise the drama a bit more. Maybe go to variety shows or do a building sweep. The show definitely deserve more people watching!
Waiting for ep 7 & 8 is killing me T_T I'm also very appreciative that most of the scenes are filmed without relying heavily on a green screen. There's definitely some scenes where it's used, but you can tell that the majority showcases actual landscapes and natural environments, which makes everything feel more immersive. Also the lighting is not too bright and the skin smoothing isn't overly done. Pretty rare elements for a xianxia if you ask me
I'm not sure how true this is, so take it with a grain of salt, but words are spreading that the last episode falls on deng wei's birthday. If that's true, that's really cool and thoughtful!
