I see some comments suggesting that what CD really wants is LOVE from LZ, but I feel like it's more than that. She would've just told him if that was the case, why poison him to make him understand? "Let me poison you so you understand how it feels to be poisoned, and btw what i really wanted all this time was your love. Either you die or I die right now, you choose". That doesn't make sense, it's gotta be something else she wanted....
if iqiyi doesnt air this in february i'll be so annoyed with them. They literally stated more than twice that this drama is on their list of opening dramas of the year. If they go back on their words, I'm gonna throw some hands T__T i need this ASAP
yeah, very very high possibility that this drama is going to air sometime in february. Would be surprising if it didnt since Iqiyi announced it to be one of their three opening drama of the year. Since Moonlight Mystique is already airing, this seems to be next, especially since they're already looking for investors and preparing advertisement posters
I'm not her fan but I do feel sad for her. Her weight was perfectly fine (tbh still super skinny if we're looking at BMI) but she still got shamed for being too chubby. She then went on to lose a lot of weight within a couple months and then people started telling her she doesn't look as good as before. You never win with antis. Hopefully this toxic beauty standard goes away but I don't think it ever well. I saw an interview and when they interviewed a bunch of people in China asking what they think the ideal weight for a woman is, everyone was saying under 100lbs?? And then when one guy said "I think 110 is actually too skinny", everyone was shocked and in disbelief.
Anyways, I hope she has a good recovery and take a well needed break

iqiyi posted on their official weibo (there's also conference pic) that Love of the Divine Tree is in their list of dramas to be released in early start of 2025!! So we'll most likely see this end of january or latest february!!!

this one is probably the one. It goes to show they have really good chemistry and people want them in another project together. This show seems to be very big budget though, I'm guessing a lot of competition for the roles so curious who will eventually get cast

Apparently there's a drama called 和离 (https://kisskh.at/777245-he-li) to be filmed soon and no cast announcement, but i would love for a second pairing between CDL and HMH. The poster looks exactly like our raindrop couple. Just my wishful thinking though T_T

I havent read your earlier discussion, but based on the timestamp, she was already talking, he coughed, she paused to wait for him to finish, he then said "I'm not coughing anymore, continue talking". He felt bad and explained that he's not feeling well, and she reassured him and pat him on the arm and said"it's ok it's ok".
I'm not sure why they decided to split the final 23 mins as an "extra ep" because that whole 23 minutes was part of the original script. It was how they intended to end it from the beginning...and it's not like they went over the 40 eps mark - splitting it like this makes it feel like an after thought and some people probably didn't know there's more to it :/
