This grants them a long life, the ability to cast spells, but not immunity to diseases and other human vulnerabilities. We’ve never seen an elderly goddess, and it would be odd for a new goddess to appear every 100 years or so—especially since the first goddess was chosen to share power with a demon as an act of balance. If a goddess had a short lifespan and died, it wouldn't be fair nor made sense, as the two halves of the power require a deep connection or shared mind to function. For the demon to be forming such a strong bond repeatedly with a new goddess would be kinda impossible..

All that to say is that these goddesses are humans who transform upon receiving divine power, which either halts their aging or slows it significantly, though they remain susceptible to other causes of death. I think this theory makes sense because when Zhao Wan Er died, her body dissolved into particles, which only happens when a god or demon dies.

haha same. This one while it made me cried like heck, it still felt complete and the ending made sense leading up to it. Also I was expecting a really sad ending but it was more of a happy bittersweet feeling for me.

No, you're right.. He's born with the malicious energy. It did not came to him 8 years ago. That also wouldn't make sense because we've seen in the flashback before the event 8 years ago that he wanted to end his life. All that talk with the previous goddess about not wanting to live would've not made sense. Also a flashback scene of him and YL's grandpa telling him he shouldnt go down the mountain until he got his malicious energy under control. That was also before the event 8 years ago. The eternal burning wood in his body, his sadness for LL being sealed, plus the blood moon got him being unable to control his power and did what he did.

THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING I WANTED.
Good Plot that starts a bit slow but immediately picks itself into what I consider a. masterpiece. Great CGI, AMAZING osts. Excellent choice of casts, everyone fit their character so well and they're all such great actors and actresses. The amazing chemistry between everyone, especially our leads. The world building, friendship bond, symbolism of life, AHHHHHH it's gonna take me a while to let go of this drama and even more longer to find something that made me so excited everyday for the next episodes T___T

I love the symbolism in the ending. It's so well put together.
The contracts state that "as long as the great demon doesnt die, he'll stay with wenxiao forever" and because he technically didn't die, he stayed with her. But ofc she doesnt know because only the cloud light sword can detect it, and you see when she left him on the stone, the paper struggled, as if it wanted to go with her, but the rock prevents it. It almost felt like it was screaming "noooo wenxiao come back I'm hereee". And because xiao zhuo is searching the world for him, like a mind of its own, it drifted to him and was like "Yo buddy, I am here, you can stop searching now" AH MY HEARTTTTT

Bai Yan voice sounds kinda odd. It's not that she has a deep voice, but more so it sounds kinda monotoned, and it doesnt really suite her. Like...when she speaks, it feels off???

I agree that she cries a lot here, but lets be honest, all the characters cries a lot in this show, especially our ML and SML haha, but it make sense for them to cry and get emotional, especially how angst the story has been.

neither ZYZ or ZYC knows. And tbh I don't think they'll ever know, which is kind of sad but I guess sacrifices don't always need to be known
