i read the page of the novel for this scene, and it looks like his contract triggered (the remain colleague section), thus causing him intense chest pain so he stopped ):
It’s very sad ZhuYan is not treated fairly. He does so much for the group, yet not all appreciate him. Not enough…
i agree. I'm hoping we can get more scenes between ZYZ and WX. I love their 1:1 scenes together. They both understand each other very well and is always on the same wavelength, so their conversations are intelligent, meaningful, and also fun with the subtle push and pull / bickering.
Am I the only one who thinks that most humans in this show are actually way worse and cruel then the demons. I…
I feel like the your comparison between these crimes isn’t quite right. PSJ and BJ haven't killed anyone, and they're willing to make amends and it's not too late to reverse what they did. The demons that we've seen so far all have tragic backstories, but regardless of how much we empathize with their reasons, they still took many lives. It's similar to hearing a sad story behind a serial killer's actions—just because they had a terrible childhood, does that mean we should excuse them, compared to someone who lies or betrays friends? I don’t think it's fair to equate their actions.
Also whenever our crew hear the demons' backstory, you can tell they sympathize a lot with them, so it's not like they ignore it. They feel sad and cry for them - but at the end of the day, facts is fact and they killed a lot of innocent people.
In regards to the truly bad humans with evil intentions - like the one that lock the demon up for experiments or people in the chongwu champ, i'm sure they're going to get whats coming. Our main group does not agree or support their actions as we can see, and i'm sure they'll get their punishment one way or the other.
im extremely curious who that female demon in the cage is - the one that Li Lun stared at for a long time. I feel like there has to be a reason why she was given a lot of screen time and the camera stayed on her and LiLun for a long time. I'm excited to see what she brings to the story
People often forget that WenXiao, even though she holds the title of goddess, she’s still only human. Unlike PSJ or ZYC, she’s never had any martial arts training. Her teacher taught her the principles of balance between humans and demons and how to use the Baizi token, but not martial arts - i don't think any of the previous goddess even knew martial arts to begin with.
People get frustrated when she doesn’t jump into fights, but what else should she do? Throw random punches and risk being taken hostage by demons? It makes more sense to leave the combat to a great demon and a trained martial artist, stay back and observe and go in when the time is right. I feel like she’s trying to contribute in her own way—whether by supporting the group or finding other ways to help. We’ve seen her do this in a few episodes, especially the last one. Even if she’s physically weak, her willpower is undeniable.
Without the token, she’s just human (and after being without it for so many years, her body has weakened significantly. When she "got it back," it was only a partial token, so she couldn’t fully activate its power on her own).
I think WX is doing an amazing job with what she has—she’s smart, perceptive, strategic, and compassionate. She’s truly the heart of the group, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of her! :))
It's been a while since I've been this addicted to a drama. The last one that had me hooked was The Double. At first, the slow pace of their speech took some getting used to, but now it feels natural and perfectly suits the characters and story. Initially, I wasn’t a fan of the comedic elements, but once I realized how many tear-jerking and heart-wrenching moments there are, I understood how much the comic relief is needed—especially after episode 17, which had me bawling my eyes out.
I think the team-building/friendship-focused historical genre has really been growing on me, especially after watching Mysterious Lotus Casebook and The Blood of Youth. The strong emphasis on friendship and the subtle romance in these shows has made me appreciate a genre I didn’t know I’d love until the past few years.
I have to say, this is my favorite Hou Ming Hao character so far. I've seen him in other dramas, but I think he did a fantastic job with this role. Cheng Du Ling is also an incredible actress, and whenever the two of them share one-on-one scenes, the chemistry is electric—I ship them so hard in this drama! I can't wait to see more scenes of them together, and I really hope we get a proper kiss scene—not just a dream kiss or a quick peck. Anyway, the two-day wait is finally over! GIVE ME THE EPS NOWWW
It seems that every Baize Goddess is paired with a great demon who gets chosen based on the strength of their…
I like your analysis, but I have to disagree.
From how Cheng Huang was telling the story, he said, "The original baize was divided into two." It makes it sound like, after the first goddess and him, it wasn’t split into two again. Which make sense that they were all surprised. If every goddess had a demon partner, I don't think he would've phrased it that way nor would WenXiao not know why her power is incomplete.
The other goddess we saw (I don’t know her name) also seems to operate alone without a partner when she came into that town and sealed the plague. I would also think that Wan Er would’ve told Wen Xiao about the baize token actually being two parts and about Li Lun being her partner. Wen Xiao seems surprised, and I can’t think of a valid reason for her master to hide such an important detail. ZYZ and Wan Er’s relationship was like brother and sister, and he was also close to Li Lun, so if he were the other owner of the baize token, I feel like he would have known.
Based on what we know so far and the context of everything, I believe only the original goddess and Cheng Huang had the baize token split, and now it’s Wen Xiao and ZYZ. Another reason I don’t think it’s probable for the other goddess to have a demon partner is because Wen Xiao always seems to rely on ZYZ to use her power, whereas the other two goddesses seem able to seal and do things on their own.
Isn't Wen Xiao his aunt? I'm kind of confused. Is he jealous that Wen Xiao is getting attention from ZYZ? lol
no, She is not his aunt. Wenxiao is not related to ZYC. She's a goddess so she's technically a lot older than him since he's a human, but honestly in these type of fantasy drama, thousands of years difference almost means nothing xD, look at ZYZ he is 10k old and acts like a kid and fine as heck
From reliable source: The copyright issue is solved. Now they finished last editing and went for getting airing…
do you know where this reliable source came from? Been seeing melons around a lot but havent heard of this so was curious where you got the information from.
