MQG is SYS's Moon, and SRR is SYS's Sun. Coming from the same soul, they both provided him with light during his darkest days.
MQG lit the way for SYS when all he could see ahead was darkness and hate. She gave him a home, a choice to change his destiny, and the reassurance that he deserves to be happy and experience all the sweetness the world has to offer. She believed in him when no one else did.
SRR showed SYS that he could be loved and forgiven. Living with regret and depression, feeling unworthy of happiness because of his past and unable to forgive himself, he found warmth, reassurance, and care in her presence βjust as the Sun nurtures life, she reminded him that he, too, could heal, grow, and shine again.
I started this because i like chen du ling and I needed a drama that could let me get over Love of the divine tree (if anyone hasn't watched it, it's really good!!).
Anyways, just binged the first 4 eps of this drama and I really enjoyed it! The story pacing isn't too fast where it's confusing and rushed, nor does it feel slow and uninteresting. Just about right. Even though ive been a bit worn out by revenge plots, I do think this is still a very refreshing story. I'm very interested to learn more about the ML's backstory, he's still very mysterious and I have no idea what his intentions are. Also the FL's mom acting is scary haha, in a good way - she's very intimdating. Can't wait for tomorrow!
Weiwei as TSJ never gets old for me. ππππ₯°π₯°π₯°It's been more than a year since LYF S1 aired. Looking…
i don't think he lost his youthful look - it's probably because he's matured a bit and is more reserved when he speaks compared to before because a lot of people are watching his every movements. He was already getting a lot of hate for no reasons before LYF, and after LYF aired, he received a bunch of hate. I remember literally seeing a couple of hot searches everyday and non-stop online bullying for months after LYF. For instance, people were making fun of the way he laughs and so there was a period of time where I felt he didn't laugh as much or would cover his mouth every time he laughs, but I think he has gained a lot of confidence since then, especially after the positive feedbacks from Lost of the divine tree. From the interviews Ive seen of him, I can definitely tell he has a very strong mentality and stable emotions. I hope he gets more opportunities to do what he loves and act more so we can see it *_*
lmfaoo i ship them so harddd. Honestly with SYS personality, i think TSJ is perfect for him. TSJ is patient, understanding,…
sigh, makes me sad thinking about what lost you forever could've been if the director/production team wasn't so biased. Our Jing moments were taken away from us!
I remember there was a BTS where XY pushed TSJ on the bed but we never got to see moments like those Dx We didn't even get a kiss from them near the end, UGH. Also the very last kiss was completely zoomed out and shifted the focused to you know who D:<
And yeah, the chubby baby was so cute!! Deng wei is funny, he looks like he was going to drop the baby since half of the baby body was leaning away xD
I'm a bit confused why this drama that hasnt even been filmed is getting so popular... it's been on weibo hot search lately... is it because the novel is popular? Im looking at the director and he doesnt seem to have a lot of popular works outside of the double so i'm just confused.
A cute Jing / SYS meme that popped up on my YT feed.Looks hilarious. Wished there were subs though. LOLhttps://youtu.be/vSQ42ZjI16o?si=U2utZ2L8D766Lqt8
lmfaoo i ship them so harddd. Honestly with SYS personality, i think TSJ is perfect for him. TSJ is patient, understanding, and compassionate. Plus he knows how to cook and we know how much of a foodie SYS is. Also TSJ is an amazing strategist so he can help SYS get the throne xDD He's everything SYS needs hahahaha.
I noticed this too! But if you notice lol later on even after SYS regained his memory, specifically i think he…
yup! wonderful detail! This current him is no longer living his life filled with guilts and regrets! The person he loves also loves him back and he's able to be himself again around her <3
Guys is my memory fuked up or did weTV edited the drama again to do a better timeline? I could've sworn I was…
The director re-ordered the episodes per the audience request. Nothing was added or cut, just the ordering is different. So episode 1-2 is now moved to be ep 6-7 and ep 3-7 is now ep 1-5. I think this flow is a lot smoother, the majority seems to prefer this order
My only big complaint with this drama is more so, why doesnt Ying Tao Director ever does any super close up scenes?…
The scene were he set his mom's house on fire, he was actually crying as he walked away. It was an amazing showcase of anger, sadness, and disappointment. But because it was panned out, you can't see it. He was also crying in another scene after he protected Ran Ran from the thunder, but the scene was abrupty cut to the next we didnt get to even see it. There were many others that I can't recall atm.
I know when i was watching L&R (filmed by the same director), there were so many closeup, especially of the character's eyes, giving the audience a chance to really see the character's emotions and internal struggles. But there were literally 0 super close up shots in this drama.
Also, while I appreciate that the director didn't choose to put heavy filters and white wash the characters and chose more of a natural lighting, I know for sure the drama could've benefitted from some additional brightness. Some scense were so dark that even having my laptop on full brightness doesnt help.
Deng wei has such pretty eyes that speaks and give off so many emotions, it's a pity the director didn't give the audience a chance to fully appreciate his eye acting to its full potential. But that's really my only complaint, everything else about this drama is chef kiss

i keep coming back here once in a while. There's currently no ohter dramas that has took my attention away from this drama. Ive rewatched this a couple times now and I swear it's still so good and I notice little details that I did not noticed before. For instance, Young SYS had a habit of crossing his arms and lifting up his eyebrows and he likes to look you straight dead in the eye, giving off the proud, confident, and mischevious side which is very different from the older SYS.
