Deng wei really has a face that can pull off literally any genre. He looks majestic in xianxia. When it comes to modern drama, I can see him playing a CEO, doctor, lawyer, school life, literally anything. very versatile face haha. i hope he gets a chance to also maybe do a political drama, I think him being a king/prince is also very fitting. Heck, he can even grab villains roles.

Hmmm was trying to figure out how old SYS was at the end... He was around 18 yo when he met MQG. Stayed with her for ~3 years. so he's 21 when MQG died. Waited 18 years for her so he's like 39. Was a master to RR for 2 years so hes' 41. Another 3 years before they got married so 44....then 13 years in the current time...dam 57 LOL good thing cultivation slows down their aging but dang hahaha he can still have that many kids at 57, stronk.

Actually No. Ive been following this drama closely since the beginning and they literally only had 3 billboards and 1 subway screen location with the poster and this was like a couple days before the show aired. Considering how big china is, literally 3 billboards and 1 subway location is nothing. Everything else we see were done by fans. They started doing the truck thing a week after the show had already aired.
The promotion was so bad that even one of the actor from this show had to start a live stream to teach fans how to help promote it. And after many fans complain, they finally decided to do live streams, building sweep but only after 7-10 days after the drama was broadcast and at that point, the initial heat had already died down. Most shows, for instance lets just use first frost for example, went on Hello Saturday 1 day after it was broadcast, had live streams and building sweep within 1-2 days .. Also not to mention a bunch of social media marketing accounts and offline promotional activities. I dont even follow it but its all over my douyin and weibo.
Not trying to compare the two, but using it to highlight the extreme difference in good promotion versus bad promotion. It's good that they're doing promotions for it now, but it's a bit late imo but I guess better than nothing. Hopefully there's a long tail effect

haha I get what you mean and I agree. But maybe it's because i have a little sister that I try to put myself in her shoes. I dont think even if my sister did the same thing as MRW did to MQG i wouldve had the heart to kill her off. I would just disconnect myself from her and never have her in my life but would not want anything bad to happen to her. I think it's because prior to everything, they did grow up together and had a good relationship for 20+ years. She's also her only family member left.
At least MRW is basically "dead" imo. She has no emotions and is basically just a living shell so that's her punishment. She literally had a sister that loved her so much and also a man that was completely head over heel with her and was willing to die for her yet she was too selfish to see it. Now she gets nothing.

Yeah I agree that SYS sister apperrance was a bit pointless. From how they explained it, it looks like she died not long after MQG died. Got captured and who knows what they did to her...which is probably why SYS never looked /talked about her. I'm guessing he had no hesitation with killing her off in the latest episodes because she's not really her - kind of like the main villain's wife - a cluster of negative energy that took form as their former self. Made sense why she resented SYS. But either way, I don't think she added much to the story and It would've been totally fine without her.
Been a longgg while sicne ive seen such a satisfactory ending. No more that 1 min of staring at each other in the end / hugging to give us a "happy ending". No more the other person lives on while the other sacrifice themselves ending. No more Non-candid extra episode just made to please fans.
The ending successfully wrapped up everything very well, did not felt rush, and dedicated time to actually the couple after-life. YESSS
