If it was me, I would've preferred that this drama could primarily focus only on the main couple and their relationship struggles, like his accident, her helping him heal, and their arguments. But since it's a C drama, there are already some people on Weibo who are complaining that the second couple and other side characters aren't getting enough screen time. They're saying the story is too love-centered and lacks a strong plot. And now it seems like people are complaining the main CP isn't getting enough screen time , etc. It seems like it's impossible to please everyone.
What they could've done better is casting a more charming evil brother and a less co-dependent second FL. that way, even if the main CP is not on screen, we can still enjoy the show. Ohwells, I love our main CP too much and I can't help smiling like an idiot whenever they're on screen so this show is still super enjoyable for me
I don’t like anyone screen time except two leads lol other character quite annoying. Will continue to watch…
Yeah, the two leads chemistry is amazing compared to everyone else. But I guess its normal for modern Cdrama to include side couples...I havent really seen a modern c-drama where there's no side couples
It would've been better if the side couples had some chemistry but they really dont haha. The guy is also not a likable character so I'm not really rooting for his happiness either T_T
The leads make this drama worth watching though, theyre too cute together
I can't believe all the hate comments about Zhang Yuxi here. I understand personal opinions, but it's disgusting…
agree! I read the novel and I think if she were to be casted, she'll do great in it! Its funny people bring up her age, as if we havent seen a bunch of actors/actresses playing younger roles. Zhao Lusi is in her mid 20s playing a HS student and no one bat an eye. No hate on lusi, i'm just bringing her in as an example. Plus, yuxi actually looks really good for her age. The picture on my drama list needs to change lol
seriously? Since last year that I saw IS broke Youku's 10000 on the first day and hit 10000 straight for 2 months…
IS popularity was kinda a given considering it had both CY and YZ (both high traffic stars), high budget , lots of promotions, and a XianXia genre (very popular in China). Same reason why Till the End of the Moon also broke the heat index record this year (I think it got to 10k in a day or two?)
So we should be proud this drama got 10k T__T This drama went through a lot just to get out of youku dungeon and now its in the middle of youku x douban conflict....sigh
This drama has some major problems with languages. first of all the FL was living in M country when she was a…
I totally get what you're saying. It would've been cool if the English dubbing was better, but that's really on the folks who hired those English dubbers. It seems like they just read the script without putting any real emotion into it. But I try not to hold it against the casts and director because it's not their fault. Cheng Yi and Yu Xi did their best with English, and I find it cute when they do.
Like many have discussed about this issue before, they used English because it's a global language and to avoid making the fictional country "M" too obvious to avoid potential legal issues. Some folks can be touchy if their country is shown in a negative light. I also think it might have something to do with the budget. This wasn't a big-budget production, so they probably didn't have the resources to find people who speak German and do translations. Plus, the actors and actresses didn't even have a styling team, and they had to wear their own clothes, which kind of shows how tight the budget was.
Anyways, I've waited for this drama for 3 years and it's everything I wanted and I'm enjoying it a lot so far. Sure, there are things that I wish could've been better, but in terms of the story, chemistry, pace, and scenery, I have no complaints *_*
A low budget Cdrama that was filmed 3 years ago reaching 10k heat index?? (FYI, less than 30 shows on youku ever achieved this) The power that our CP holds *_* The chemistry and achievements don't lieee
I really enjoy this drama but I find the use of English throughout the drama to be very unrealistic. In villages…
t's actually modeled after a real country, but to steer clear of any potential legal complications or conflicts, they decided to use English, which is a widely understood global language. This approach allows them to easily claim, if needed, that it's a fictional country called "Country M" where English is the primary language, rather than explicitly representing a specific nation like Myanmar, which speaks Burmese.
I personally find their choice quite clever. They can depict a real country without explicitly naming it (since some people might be sensitive about their country being portrayed negatively), while also avoiding the use of a completely made-up setting in a modern context. It's a win-win situation, in my opinion.
haha South Wind kNows have some talented and funny fans. This literally made me lol
I wonder if Cheng Yi himself even know what the book is about... he seems too innocent, bet he didn't even realize what it is when they handed it to him haha
*im going to just replace this version in my head with the one they actually showed* ...if this was aired a year ago I'm sure we would've gotten the full scene!
