I watch dramas for escapism but sometimes some heavy drama like this is empowering. The way the SFL move on from her bitter past was like when you fell off from the horse, you get back on it again. Your description of body ladder is too pessimistic. Try putting it optimistically like when its tough, the tough gets going. Always be kind to yourself by giving 2nd chance for there will always be a solution for anything; nothing is a dead end.

Her family didn't find it strange that she had such a large hole at her throat? MW saw her falling from the balcony and WL may had pushed her?

The drama is going to end soon, but I am still puzzled on how WL got away with the murder charge that Rulan desperately tried to pin on him on their wedding night? WL bribed everybody? Even her family? The writer short-charged us?

What was the motive for epi. 19? This drama was written by a MAN.
Holding hands while teaching embroidery , wasn't that's sexual harassment? Touching ? Patting? Wasn't it scandalous for any married man to come to a woman's room at night? It showed that the woman was of easy virtue? The scene when Rulan told TLC to go to a teacher who was a woman, that was a telling scene. Eventually all men will see women as promiscuous and cheap if they are willing to put up with sexual harassment.
This drama have many thought-provoking themes.

He has to prove his manhood? Embroidery is a lady's work. His father was ashamed of him for bring down the family honor and burned his work. He thought when he married a prominent family he had proved his father was wrong and raised up to prominence in society's eyes. When he discovered his wife was not a virgin, meant the wife's family looked down at him like his father.He was insulted and humiliated as not man enough, so soiled goods was good enough for him. To prove he was good enough for any rich and prominent families, he kept a record, just like any hunter who take prideful pleasure with an animal trophy on the wall. Inferiority complex with an aggressive way to overcompensate.

I stand on team XB and QQ from epi.1 He was always there for her since epi1. I hope the drama stand by them and not abandon them with OE as the novel.

Am guessing he will lose some money and the mother will blame her. He will not be man enough to take responsibility.

Yes. I am glad that the writers showed that she has the courage to divorce that rapist. This drama met my high expectations from the writers, looking forward for more good dramas from them.

My point is not CM as bf material but that CM and parents represented the general public. The ones sitting on the fence and those not on CG’s side. They may admired ZX for her courage to fight her boss but don’t want such a wife or daughter-in-law. Nutshell, no man wants a raped victim for wife or parents that type of stigma for daughter-in-law.
BTW I don’t want a CM even as a friend! He abandoned her like hot potato when the going gets tough. Better a KH or a YZ. (He stepped in on the dance interlude).

It’s the writer’s way of showing repercussions and consequences. Even if the parents/ general public may admired her courage to stand up, the stigma will forever remain. No parents want that type of daughter-in-law. No man will want that type of wife. Her life can never be normal. Main reason she was always changing her testimony.

Till episode 20. Waiting for the rest to be subbed. I think it’s applied. All the scenes with the victim, from the police to the lawyer LK, all told her it would be recorded. The scene with CG, he didn’t tell her and significantly, LK, wasn’t there.
